List of Jewish Characters for the Panfandom Hanukkah Bingo
I've gotten a few requests for a list of Jewish characters to help people brainstorm for the bingo -- just as a reminder, Jewish headcanons and fanons are totally allowed for the event, so if you don't KNOW whether your character is Jewish, it's totally fine to make them Jewish for your fanwork! :)
But, since people asked, here is a little starter-list of 225 fictional Jewish and Jew-ish characters (characters who are "nebulously Jewish," played by Jews, are Jewish in at least one variation of the character, only make sense if they're Jewish, etc.)

Always You: Part. 3
Weeeeee! Its another chapter! As always, I would like to thank all of you for reading! It really means a lot to me!

You watched as the man emerged from the shadows, your eyes widening as Frank appeared. You started to shake in fear. You shouldn’t be like this, but he was in your home uninvited. He was supposed to be the love of your life, the man you loved, but you weren’t sure who he became at that moment.
“Honey, I know you're scared-”
“How did you get in?! Why are you here, Frank?”
Frank sighed, dug into his pocket, and pulled out the spare key. You looked at the key and sighed, remembering that he had a copy you gave him a while back when you two were together, but now circumstances are different; you made a mental note to get it back.
He didn’t deserve it.
“But that doesn’t answer my question, Frank. Why are you here?” you asked once more.
Frank leaned against the island table in your kitchen and crossed his arms.
“I know you're mad and have every right to be, but you have to know that this is just-”
“Work? Ha, I know it's work. But this is different, Frank. You’re taken, and that’s considered cheating. How long have you known about this contract?”
Frank looked at you, trying to find the words without hurting you, the look in his eyes one you had seen too many times.
“Since Ju-”
“Since June?!” You questioned, finishing his sentence.
Frank felt the blood drain from his body. He never liked lying to you, but Janice told him not to say anything until right.
“Honey, please-”
“Don’t honey me, Frank! You knew but failed to tell me; let me rephrase that you have the guts to lie to me?” you yelled.
“You know how Janice works! You and she are in the same business. She just wants what’s-”
“Janice doesn’t work the way I do. You know that I don’t do that shit. I don’t believe in PR shitships. All that does is bring issue after issue to deal with,” You said, placing your hand on your hip and staring at Frank.
“I know that, but I just-”
“Just what, Frank? Need to stay in the limelight? You know this isn’t like you,” you said, feeling disappointed. “You were this wholesome man that I fell in love with, then you did that movie with Bonnie, and then this happened.”
“The fans-”
“Yes, the fans like you with her; I fucking get it. But you know her past and what a mess she is. I got emails from UTA that they want to do some PR shit with Jarred, and you know what he said? He didn’t want to do it. He knew how messed up a situation she was in.”
“Y/N, she’s a nice girl. Yes, she had a bad history with the media, but she changed. I just need to-.”
“DON’T YOU DARE, FRANK!”
“What, that I need to be in a PR-”
“Frank, why? Just why do you need to do this? That’s all I ask. Do you not want to be out of the light for a while?”
“Janice wants me to get an Oscar, a nomination, maybe a win-”
“And this is how it's going to be? Wow, she’s asking for it.”
“But seriously, Y/N. None of these matters to me because I still love you-”
“And you think I do? You think I still love you?”
Frank stood there for a moment, thinking of what you just said.
“Honey, you don’t-”
Before he could say anything, you went to your purse and fished out your ring, looking at it briefly before shoving it into his chest.
“I do not need this. When you finally realize what you want, maybe you can give it back to me. Maybe when you realize how screwed up this is, then there is a chance. But for now, we are done,” you said.
Frank looked at you in disbelief, placing his hand on top of yours and holding it tight into his.
"Honey Bee, please, you don't mean any of this. You mean the world to-"
You yanked your hand out of his and shoved him away from you, tears forming in your eyes.
"Please, Frank, just leave."
"No, I will not leave until you tell me this isn't ov-"
"It's over, Frank. You lied, and you changed. Get the fuck out of my house," you said, your hands gripping the counter and not facing him.
You felt his hands on your waist and immediately turned around and pushed him off.
"FRANK ADLER, GET OUT NOW!"
Frank tried to touch you again, but you slapped him. Looking at you again, he opened the door and turned to you.
"I still love you," Frank said and walked out.
You slammed the door, standing there for a moment before you slid down to the ground.
On the other side, Frank stood facing the doorway, hearing your cries, and feeling your pain.

Three Months Later
Three months had passed, and you found yourself trying to move on. Instead, you found yourself sitting at home after work with a Grey Goose or Maker's Mark bottle. You wanted to call your best friend Diana, but she was out of town with her client. Since the breakup, Frank had called you less but still managed to text you. Morning, Afternoon, and Goodnight, just like he used to do when he was on location for a shoot.
It made you smile but faded with the thought of him and Bonnie. It doesn't help when the entertainment news has them plastered on tv and in magazines. Janice called you and wanted to set up a dinner with you to discuss things. You gave her the “I'll have my assistant call you for the times,” and then you hung up. You knew she would come and visit you sooner or later, but until then, you want to avoid her as much as possible.
You placed your wine glass on the coffee table and picked up your phone. Your phone lit up, which caught your attention. It was a reminder notification that reminded you that you had an afternoon flight to Boston with Jarred for his gala and filming. You had your bags packed and ready to go the next day, and your driver will be picking you up from your house and taking you to the airport hangar at LAX.

The following afternoon, you found yourself in the backseat of the SUV that would be taking you to the airport. Jarred was running a bit late but would meet you on the plane. You sat and looked at your phone and the schedule. It wasn’t too much, but Jarred didn't have an extensive plan, so he wanted to head to his vacation home in Concord, which you agreed to. Jarred had been working for almost a year, and he was getting tired; you deserved a mini vacation as well.
You needed to get away from everything that was going on in your life. You told your team before you left the office that you would be on vacation and not bother you unless it was an emergency. But you knew that they would call you. You placed your phone down when you noticed that the car had pulled up into the hangar. Another car was there, and you knew it was Jarred.
Jarred came out from the private jet and waved at you. You waved back and got out of the car, your driver moving your luggage out of the trunk and onto the plane. You walked into the private jet and took a seat in front of Jarred.
“Well, that was a semi-long day today,” you mentioned, placing your bag next to you and leaning back into the chair. Jarred laughed, too, leaning back in his chair.
“Well, the same with me. I was running late at home. Buggar did not want to make his shit, so I had to get Jessie to take him, and I was out the door.” Jarred said.
“Ha, no worries. I thought I was running late too. Midafternoon traffic is no joke.” You spoke.
“Anyways, what time is the gala?” Jarred asked. You took out your phone and scanned his schedule.
“It’s later tonight. You will be going straight from the airport; you get one day break, and then you start filming for Knives Out.
“Ah, working with Chris Evans. It is always fun with that guy.” Jarred said.
“Yea, he’s a nice guy. But he’s a very messy man.”
“Yea, tell me about it.”
“Just remember to keep it casual with him and don’t get too involved,” you warned.
“Oh, trust me, I don’t need reporters hounding me for his personal life,” Jarred said as you shook your head with a smile.

Later that night, you found yourself at the high-rise of the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, outside with a glass of wine in your hands. You walked to the edge, looking towards the city. The calm wind blew against your warm skin, and you smiled. Down below, the city was still awake, but you somehow felt at peace.
“Admiring the views?” You heard a voice that caught you off guard. You turned around to find a handsome man; his blue eyes shined as you felt your cheeks heat.
You took a sip of your wine, “Yeah, it's quite nice out tonight.”
The man held out his hand, “I’m Chris.”
You took his hand and smiled, “Nice to meet you, Chris; I’m Y/N.”
As you shook his hand, you heard someone clear his throat, and you both turned to see Jarred standing with his champagne in his hand.
"Hey, Chris!" Jarred said, taking his place next to you. Chris looked at Jarred and then gave his million-dollar smile.
"Jarred didn't think you would be here," Chris said, holding his hand out. Jarred shook his hand, making sure to keep his place beside you.
Before you could say something, Chris excused himself. As he left, you turned around and raised an eyebrow at Jarred. He stared at you, confused.
"What?" Jarred said, laughing.
"Cock blocker," you said.
Jarred looked at you for a moment and then laughed.
"Cock blocker? Why would-"
"Because he's hot!" you said. Jarred laughed even more, then placed his arm around your waist.
"Trust me, and you don't wanna mess with a messy man," Jarred said, leading you back inside. You laughed, leaning in close to him.
"Oh, trust me, I know. I just got out of a relationship with one. Besides, it doesn’t hurt to let him flirt a little; a girl gotta feel love sometimes," you said with a laugh as Jarred shook his head.
“Well, how about I keep you company and keep these vultures away from you,” Jarred said as you just shrugged and walked around, meeting other business associates as they chatted with you and Jarred by your side.

Prying eyes wandered around the large private ballroom. She was chatting with some of the people from the industry, and she froze.
She spotted the voices. Her eyes widened as she began to realize who the mysterious girl was. She took her device out and started to snap photos of none other than Jarred Perry and a mysterious girl. Then placed her phone down and began to dial.
Janice speaking.
Janice, it's Bonnie. I've got something that will destroy Frank.
What is it?

End-of-year book ask: 3, 9, 13, 22, 24
3. What were your top five books of the year?
evil question EVIL QUESTION ugh okay let's try, in no particular order:
I Keep My Exoskeletons To Myself, Marisa Crane; a raw and tender exploration of grief and parenthood through a queer lens, with a dystopian backdrop. The only thing close to litfic I've ever read and liked.
The Spirit Bares Its Teeth, Andrew Joseph White & A Study in Drowning, Ava Reid; these two are inextricable to me because they're both deep explorations of womanhood/girlhood and illness and gender and breaking it all apart. Both of these books made me cry and I want to do an extremely close study of them and their themes together at some point.
Some Desperate Glory, Emily Tesh; second only to Hell Followed With Us in its incisive, clear commentary on cult thinking, fascism, and deconstruction. Also things happen with the plot that I did not even remotely see coming and they were amazing. This book made me rabid.
The Saint of Bright Doors, Vajra Chandrasekera; a radiant exploration of so much that's hard for me to put into words so just go read my storygraph review.
Honorable mention to Judas, a comic by Jakub Rebelka and Jeff Loveness that made me scream and and wail and weep and cry and howl with the beauty, symbolism, and artistry of word and art.
9. Did you get into any new genres?
Not really! I've continued playing around with reading horror, and trying to read more sci-fi but nothing truly new to me no.
13. What were your least favorite books of the year?
Her Majesty's Royal Coven by Juno Dawson, which became one of my worst books of the year in, I am not kidding, the very last sentence. Made me so mad I probably won't even read the sequel. Why did she do that!?
The Wolf and the Sparrow by Isabelle Adler, an extremely boring "enemies" to lovers political marriage book that made my eyes glaze over.
The Tywford Code, Janice Hallett, a book I really looked forward to after reading The Appeal but that truly did not deliver. Mostly confusing, I ended up skipping multiple chapters and feeling like I had missed absolutely nothing, which is always a terrible sign.
22. What’s the longest book you read?
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey, which I read while feeling miserable and awful and rated 5 stars because I enjoyed the hell out of it.
24. Did you DNF anything? Why?
Yep! According to storygraph I've hard DNF'd 10 books this year (meaning I've marked them DNF instead of simply moving them back to my TBR because I'm not feeling it right now). Some were because they made my skin crawl with sexism and/or racism (Upgrade, Blake Crouch; League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Alan Moore) others I just wasn't capable of reading because of fundamental mood or content mismatches (How High We Go in the Dark, Sequoia Nagamatsu; Muse of Nightmares, Lani Taylor). Most I got extremely bored with for no known reason or I got a weird vibe from.

MobMovieCon and SopranosCon to Have a Sit-Down in Atlantic City

It’s time for the punks to meet the godfathers. The creators of SopranosCon merged with MobMovieCon for a family celebration. From July 23 to July 25, Harrah’s Resort & Casino in Atlantic City will house the boardwalk’s biggest gangster gathering since Nucky Johnson hosted the mob’s Atlantic City Conference in 1929.
“Al Capone will not be coming though,” VirtualCons CEO Michael Mota tells Den of Geek. “Those were the mobsters. I would say this would be the biggest gathering of mobster wannabes.” The Sopranos fan convention has come a long way since it was dreamed up by three gangster movie aficionados from New York, Maryland, and Rhode Island. The 2019 SopranosCon drew thousands of fans from as far as The Netherlands and the United Kingdom to the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus. A planned expansion to MobMovieCon had to be pushed back because of the pandemic, but the organizers introduced VirtualCons’ free downloadable app to host fan “experiences,” like a trip to Tony Soprano’s house in Caldwell, N.J.
“It’s grown unbelievably well,” Mota tells us. “We started with SopranosCon of 2019 and got 15,000 people over two days. We decided to open it up to be both SopranosCon and MobMovieCon, but the global reach we have, because of the virtual apps we built during the pandemic, has been unbelievable. Not only will we have thousands of people in Atlantic City, we’ll also have hundreds of thousands of people that will stream it through our app. It’s a great way to connect people to this genre.”
The opening shot for the weekend is a one-night event showcasing the 1996 HBO film Gotti. “It kicks off the weekend, ‘The Gotti Reunion,’” Mota says. “We’ll have Armand Assante, William Forsythe, Dominic Chianese, who was Junior in The Sopranos, but played in The Godfather, and Gotti, and in a tremendous amount of movies.” William Forsythe, and Robert Miranda will also join in the live reunion, which will culminate in the event’s big, as-yet secret announcement.
In Atlantic City, crime pays off. This year will premiere the convention’s Mob Movie Awards, which takes place 8 p.m. Saturday. “It’ll be just like watching the Academy Awards and the Emmys,” Mota says. “There will be a dinner served, people will be dressed up, there’ll be a red-carpet event. We’ll have live music. It’s going to be a really nice night of just appreciating the art of mob movies.”
The Mob Movie Awards will be hosted by a bona fide O.G. One of the premiere gangsta rappers who also wailed in heavy metal, and a Newark native. “Ice T became a partner of ours on the app that we came up with during the epidemic,” Mota says. “He crosses over from the music genre to the movies. He’s been on Law & Order for over 20 years, so we just thought that he would be the greatest addition to it.”
According to advance press, awards will be given in categories like favorite depiction of real-life gangster in a film or TV series, and a James Gandolfini Humanitarian Award. “There will be 10 awards,” Mota says. “One is going to be given to someone that’s no longer with us and there’ll be a tribute. Some of the categories are greatest hits. We have the greatest mob wives. I don’t want to give too many away.”
This year’s guests include Paul Sorvino, who played Paulie Cicero in Goodfellas; Lorraine Bracco who played Dr. Melfi on The Sopranos and Karen Hill in Goodfellas; Aida Turturro (Janice Soprano); Vincent Curatola (Johnny Sack); Kathrine Narducci (Charmaine Bucco); Federico Castelluccio (Furio Giunta), Dan Grimaldi (Philly and Patsy Parisi), David Proval (Richie Aprile) and Jerry Adler (Hesh Rabkin). Also on deck are Michael Madsen, Kathrine Narducci, Tom Sizemore, Tony Darrow, Sofia Milos, Jerry Adler, Jeff Marchetti, Taral Hicks, Eric Roberts, Ray Abruzzo, Matt Servitto, Dan Grimaldi, Jason Cerbone, Oksana Lada, John Bianco, Johnny Martino, John Fiore, Frank Santorelli, Garry Pastore, and Artie Pasquale.
The first event hosted 54 actors from the series, but didn’t stop there. There was a “Pine Barrens” tribute maze, an escape room designed like Dr. Melfi’s office, Bada Bing dancers, costume contests and cannoli-eating tournaments.
“The convention is very different than most,” Mota explains. “We have the traditional, celebrity autographs, but we try to really think outside the box. We have Tony Soprano’s truck, the white Escalade. We have the vehicle that Silvio and Patsy Parisi got shot up in. We purchased that from HBO. We have a motorcycle with all the autographs, so we have a little bit for everybody. It’s very experiential. There is a feast-like atmosphere.” So far, the organizers haven’t told the caterers to use Martin Scorsese’s mother’s famed recipe for tomato sauce. “Not this time,” he says. “We will consider it for next time.
Mota hopes upcoming MobMovieCon gatherings will mix in some of the older classic mob movies as well as gangster with gangsta movies. One day we may see New Jack City playing along with Once Upon a Time in America. “Yes, exactly, Mota says. “We want to make sure that it’s very diverse and hits on everything. We actually are working right now on the west coast and December doing one in Las Vegas,” he says. “We would like to do one on the east coast and one on the west coast. And each time we do it, we’ll theme it out. This one is mostly focused on the Gotti movie and then obviously it brings in The Godfather, and Goodfellas. But we’ll pick one or two classics that everybody loves.”
There are a lot of reasons to appreciate the genre which go beyond crime and punishment. “I think people love the connection with family,” Mota says. “I think that people do like to root for the villain. It’s got that constant idea of the government against these folks that came over to this country. They had it tough. They had to come up with a new way of life. And then there’s a balance of glamorizing that type of life, but it is just so it’s just so exciting to see. The diversity of people who were able to come out and come up with their own way of living.”
As a fan of both the series and the genre, Mota doesn’t quite see the upcoming The Many Saints of Newark becoming a gangster classic on the level of its source material. “I was just having this conversation yesterday,” he grins. “I don’t think anything can touch The Sopranos. As much as I want to watch it. I’m afraid that nothing will be able to live up to that standard, for me personally, to be even close to what The Sopranos was able to achieve, but we’ll certainly see.”

MobMovieCon will happen in Atlantic City on July 23 through the 25th at Harrah’s Resort. Tickets start at $50 for general admission and $75 for a two-day pass. VIP tickets cost up to $1,000.

INCOMING TRANSMISSION -
As many of you are aware, we’ve been staring down massive multiversal change for the last seven months, which began with S.H.I.E.L.D.’s attempt to create a criminal detention facility known as PLEASANT HILL.
This began what we have come to refer as the MULTIVERSAL RUPTURE. The Rupture is code for what’s actually a series of holes and fissures in the multiverse. Initially, they began as phenomenon’s linked to certain individuals who had been a part of the reality warping event. Some were instantaneous; the holes that were attached to them allowed matter from other realities to come through and effectively rewrote their entire personalities as the variants overpowered them. This was observed in CMOON and YBELOVA. For others, the change was slower and happened over time. We observed this in subjects such as CBARTON, CAMAQUELIN and KBISHOP. Records of all observational interviews post Pleasant Hill can be found in the S.H.I.E.L.D. file for ANALYSIS & ASSESSMENTS, clearance level six. The changes are both physical and mental in nature.
What we’ve now called the transition / merge is coming to a head. Even those who were not initially altered will be completely submerged by the end of 2/1/20221. This transformation is pinpointed to occur at approximately 23:59. People will not be able to feel a difference when the time comes, and the new memories should be completely comprehensive.
S.H.I.E.L.D. has taken the liberty for mapping out some of the following merges. It appears all mutants will be based in what Wanda Maximoff and Stephen Strange have called “Earth-616″. Other prominent realities include “Earth-1610″, which was once erased during the Incursions, and Earth and a new one, “Earth-12703″. We apologize for the fear and inconvenience, as foolish as that sounds. Please do not do anything dangerous in the next few hours. Again, this should be a seemless transition.

You sat in the back of the luxurious suv. Next to you was your biggest client and the hottest actor in town. Jarrod Kim. As the car neared the destination, Jarrod turned to you.
"Look, I know Frank is going to be there tonight. But just be strong, and don't let it get to you." Jarrod said. You sighed and turned to face him.
"I know, it's just- Its all too fresh for me. And don't get me started on Janice." You said, with a sour taste in your mouth. Jarrod placed his arm around you and you leaned against his shoulder.
"And don't worry, no NDAs tonight." Jarrod said, laughing. You snorted, pulling away from him and gave a friendly shove.
By the time the SUV pulled up, the doors opened and the two of you got out. Jarrod helped you out and his bodyguards made its way, through the crowds. Following behind, you smiled, as his fans called out for him. While he greeted his fans, you looked around. You saw some notable actors and actress looking your way, and waved back.
As you did, you saw the one person, you didn't want to see. Of course, you knew he would be here tonight. Along with the culprits. Frank looked over and you turned quickly. You rushed Jarrod towards the front entrance of the Beverly Hills Hotel.
"I take it that you spotted him?" Jarrod asked and you sighed.
"Yes, yes I did. Along with Janice and Bonnie."

Biographical Overview
Janice Joplin was born January 19, 1943 in Port Arthur Texas to Seth and Dorothy Joplin. Janice was the first born child in a family that would eventually include a sister Laura, who was born 6 years later, and a brother Michael, who was born 10 years later. Janice’s early family life was relatively normal, and as a child she was exceptionally curious and bright. Janice often made up stories as a child and began writing plays while in the first grade, and even at a very young age her creative talent seemed to be developing.
One early story recounted in Myra Friedman’s (1973) book on Janis, recounts how Seth would take the Janis and eventually her siblings down to the post office to look at the pictures of the wanted men as a form of entertainment. Given Janis’s later utter and total disregard for the law and conventionality in her life, one wonders if Janis didn’t develop some kind of sympathy for the “outlaw” from these early experiences, as she certainly began to view herself as existing outside of the bounds of normal society.
In Janis’s words, “The whole world turned on me” when she entered High School, and these years seemed to have an especially profound influence on Janis as well as her later work. Port Arthur was in many ways a rough and even violent city, and as a port town had a number of bars and houses of prostitution to service the men who came to work there. Janis witnessed extreme racism while growing up in Port Arthur, and her tolerance and acceptance of people from other races quickly earned her the nickname “nigger lover” which was one of many that she would eventually acquire in Port Arthur. During this period Janis also gained weight and developed bad skin, and she was often also called a “pig” by the other children in the school.
Following High School Janice enrolled at Lamar State College which she found was much like her High School in Port Arthur, as she again experienced a great deal of rejection here and eventually dropped out. With her parent’s blessing, Janis moved to Los Angeles to live with one of her aunts. Janis eventually moved out of her aunt’s home into a place of her own in Venice Beach and it was during this trip that she began to seriously use drugs including heroin. Having nearly died during her experiences in Venice Beach, Janice again returned to Port Arthur, and eventually decided to return to school, this time at the University of Texas in Austin.
It was during this period of her life where Janis began performing seriously as a musician. She had discovered the blues through listening to records by Odetta and Bessie Smith, and Janis showed an amazing ability to imitate these singers, which was a lifelong talent she had developed even as a young girl. Janis would often play in coffeehouses and other campus spots…
