Itsuki Kamiko is the second member of Starlight Specters. A cowardly individual in his younger years he’s since grown a spine with the help of his friends. He’s still got a lot of progress to make but he’s improving everyday

Personality

Itsuki is a soft spoken man. Almost always amicable and polite. He doesn’t like starting conflict and hates being the center of attention usually.

However he does sometimes stick his neck out for his loved ones- he’s even gotten into fights with people before to protect his closest friends from a violent aggressor.

Background

Itsuki is the youngest child in his family. Coming from a broken home he doesn’t remember his childhood very much. He knows his father left when he was young and his mother was a drug addict.

He was forced out of his home by child welfare authorities when he was only 5 years old. His mother had cut 3 of his sisters fingers off- the final straw for her before she ran for help.

He spent a few years in an orphanage- often bullied by the other children. Locked in closets by the older boys and tormented by a girl named Himeko and her dolls.

He and his sister adopted by two lawyers- Kai and Aoi Kamiko. He finally had a loving family- some kids did poke fun at him for having two dads but he didn’t care. He was happy to have two loving parents.

In school he met an older kid- a girl who would later be known as Lana Alarie. The two developed a fast friendship- a friendship that survived so many challenges.

The biggest challenge was Itsuki having to stare down the barrel of a gun to save his friends.

During the era of the darling divaz he got into contact with his biological mother shortly before her death. At that point she was begging for money- money that Itsuki wouldn’t give her. Itsuki still regrets that decision when he found out she joined a rather suspicious church group ran in Gion.

Nowadays his life is a lot more calm- even if he’s got the attention of the nation due to his participation in the DRB,

Mic + Speakers

His mic takes the form of a pen- a pen commonly used alongside an art tablet. The tip of the pen glows an eerie white.

His speakers take the form of a giant electronic tablet- it’s cracked in the middle of it but occasionally you can see Mr Spooky flashing on screen.

“Oh, this young lady! She’s kinda all over the place, isn’t she? She’s been over here a few times, I see her with Makina every now and then. She’s just an absolute sweetheart. You know, if her shows we’re just a little accessible, I for sure would love to see what she’s got. But it’s pretty much pointless because, you know…” She turned her head to the side and pointed at her ear. “But anyway, I’m excited to see where life takes this girl and I hope life treats her well.”

“Shian’s filled me in briefly about their early days. My heart truly does go out to them… Despite their background, they seemed to have bounced back pretty well. Paperwork, aside, I’d love to see them stop by my office sometime. I’m a therapist, I’d like to help out any way I can. Of course, without crossing any boundaries.”

"I know her, or rather I know of her. And that's mainly due to her younger sister, who attends school with us. She seems a little... high-strung from what I've observed, but she truly cares about her younger sister and friends. I haven't seen anything she's drawn or created. "I can't claim to have met her before, but I have heard some of the people of Hakodate talk about her. She's apparently a skilled artist. I wonder why I've never seen any of her works. Not that I have time to visit a museum or a gallery, of course... Besides that, I hear she's very passionate about defending her friends and family. That's a quality I think we all should mimic."

"He reminds me a lot of Ted-san's son, Aiden. Both seem fairly shy in public, but I can tell they both have a very passionate spirit. I also hear that he rescued his teammates from a bad situation. Truly admirable."

"I think she's the only one from the team I've met. She's a stage actor if I'm not mistaken. I think she and her fellow actors once put on a play here in Hakodate. My younger sisters begged me to take them so I did. She was really good up on stage. She gave my sisters and me an autograph. They keep a hold of that thing like it's a treasure."

"I fear going up against this team because they've been in a multitude of battles, which gives them an advantage over us. “Shit, that’s why that last name sounded familiar. You know, I don’t mind Edogawa’s kid much because the brat’s actually pretty cool to be around. But whenever Kanra brings in her best friend, it starts to become a babysitting job for me. They keep nagging at me about my past life, wanting to know how to do dangerous shit… Listen, I don’t have a problem about the kids, but they need to focus on better things like school and maybe even self-defense! Chinami's Thoughts on Kyoto Division

Lana Alarie

Chinami puts her hands on the crystal ball she uses for scrying before speaking the name of the Kyoto Division's leader.

"Lana Alarie."

Within moments, a series of images appear on her crystal ball. It shows a young Lana with a man resembling her father, though his features are obscured. A young girl appears beside Lana with similar features. Her sister, maybe? ...Yes, that is her. The two have a close sibling relationship, as they only have each other to rely on.

Fast forward a few years, Chuohku has risen in power. The father is nowhere to be found, and an older woman resembling Lana assumes control of the household, treating its inhabitants as little more than tools and nuisances. The scene changes to show Lana bloodied while standing protectively in front of her sibling. She is pushed aside, and struggles in vain to stay awake, her hand reaching out to her young sibling.

The scene changes once more, now showing Lana in her current state. She has a smile on her face, yet it is full of pain. The memories of the past still weigh heavily on her. She finds herself at a crossroads, one leading towards a future where she tries to forget the past, and one leading to revenge against the person(s) who have caused her and her sibling so much pain. Which road will she choose?

"Itsuki Kamiko."

The crystal ball glows until it shows an image of a young bespectacled shy young boy. He is seen standing beside an older girl, a few years ahead of him. They are both staring with sadness and anger at an older woman sitting on a chair, a bottle of pills at her feet, laid out on the floor. The scene changes showing the older girl pointing a knife at the woman, all while the boy stares on in horror and shock.

The scene in the ball changes showing the boy a little older, now living with other kids that are older, younger, and around the same age as him. He is shown on the ground while a group of boys and an older girl laugh at him. He struggles to hold back his tears. The scene changes again showing the bespectacled child in a closet, panicking as he is beating on the door, all while the children on the outside continue to laugh at him. He is eventually rescued but is obviously shaken.

Now at his current age, the boy is now a young man and is standing alongside Lana and her sister. He is seated with a woman of whom he is close with. ...A girlfriend? Yes, that is it. Still, a part of him still fears being out in the open. Are people looking at him? Staring at him? Watching, waiting for him to make a mistake?

He stands before a door, similar to the one of his own house. He could take the leap and see open it to see what lies beyond it. But surely staying inside is the safer, more sane route, correct? Yes, it is. But... can a life where one lives every day in fear truly be called a life?

Kanade Alarie

"Kanade Alarie."

Once more, the crystal ball shift and changes. It shows a young girl in a hospital bed being treated for a number of unexplained injuries. Her older sibling, Lana, sits beside her bedside, watching her with tear-filled eyes as she blames herself for being unable to protect her. Lana touches her sister's hand, looking at her as she sleeps, promising to always protect her no matter what.

The scene changes to show the girl a lot older and is now a teenager, performing in various venues in Kyoto and Japan. She has gathered a multitude of friends and acquaintances and has finally discovered a semblance of peace. Yet, in the deepest, darkest part of her mind, she still holds onto a slight fear. A fear that she will no longer have her older sibling or her friends to shield her from the dangers that the outside world holds.

She finds herself standing in front of a road that leads to impending darkness. Behind her is the light provided by the people who love and care for her. She could retreat to the light, and stay safe there for an elongated period of time. But... how will she learn to stand on her two feet if she doesn't face unknown challenges alone?

Starlight Specters

As she finishes observing the three members of the Kyoto team, more images of each of their lives start to show in the crystal ball. Lana and an unknown woman as friends. Itsuki sitting in front of a doctor who takes notes. Kanade cowering in fear of a shadow looming over her. Itsuki rescuing the two girls from a house in the shadows. The three competing in various matches throughout the D.R.B.

Will the light of Kyoto continue to shine on these friendly phantoms? Or will the darkness finally claim them as its own, and send them to their final beyond? We shall have to wait and see...

A knock is heard at the door of Asatos home.

It seems like Kanade came all this way just to give her favorite farmer a present- in her hands she held a little ghost plushie!

She also held a painting- and some candies.

“Everyone is a bit busy right now but- they wanted me to come wish you a happy birthday Sato-nee!”

From Lana you received a portrait, in the painting Asato is tending to his crops with a general happy feeling to the picture.

From Itsuki you received a box of candies- specifically an assortment of things that Asato and the gang tried during his trip to Kyoto…along with a few sweets that they didn’t get a chance to try.

From Kanade you received a plush ghost- It’s Mr Spooky! He’s happily enjoying a slice of melon! You also received- a big hug.

“Happy birthday Sato-nee!”

To get presents from everyone in the Kyoto team… Asato was overwhelmed with a lot of emotions, although his face lacked the ability to really reflect that. Instead, he took each of the gifts calmly and carefully as if they were made of glass. The painting was a surprise, knowing that he hadn’t had much of a chance to really talk with Lana. Itsuki’s gift brought back fun, albeit a rollercoaster of nostalgic memories from their little time together. And finally, the honors of receiving a special Mr. Spooky plush. Even if Asato didn’t quite get the whole story behind Mr. Spooky, he had an idea of how important getting the plushie was and embraced it. It was… A lot softer and more comfortable than he thought it would be.

“Thank you… Ala-”

Cutting him off, Kanade gifted him his last present: A big hug. In that moment, he slowly returned the hug, careful to not get his presents in the way of the kind action.

“Thank you Kanade-chan. These presents are… Perfect.”

Love these short sweet ones with Kanade. The two of them opening up more and more just melts me ugh. Power to the sibling bonds. (>_<, )

Finally free from the grasp of her mother- Lana Alarie is turning over a new leaf.

Even more determined to compete in the division rap battles now that she doesn’t have to worry about the safety of her friends she’s determined to show the party of words who’s boss! However…can you really ever truly leave your past behind.

Starlight specters has three members

Lana Alarie better known as Facade is a young artist and the leader of the group. Aggressive in her youth she’s since calmed down significantly as she matured and even got married! She proudly wears her teams logo on her bracelet (look Kanade made it for her she’s gonna show it off to everyone)

Itsuki Kamiko better known as Tsuki is a young graphic designer and the second member of the group. A rather reserved man in his youth he’s since cracked his shell a little bit at least. He proudly wears his teams logo as a jacket pin.

Kanade Alarie better known as Spooky is an actress who’s slowly transitioning from the stage to the sliver screen. She’s the final member of Starlight Specters! Shes does her best to cheer on her teammates and keep the moral high! She was the one behind the teams logo and proudly wears it as a hair pin

The group is close knit due to their past trauma- all three working on moving forward together towards a brighter future.

"I-I don't know much about Lana-san. Only from what I've heard Kanade-chan say about her. Truthfully, she scares me a bit because... I've kinda heard things about her, like she used to be part of a gang and did some... pretty bad things. But Kanade-chan says she doesn't do that sort of stuff anymore. I believe her, but... I still wouldn't want to be in a dark room with Lana. Sorry."

"Itsuki-san? He's a good acquaintance of mine. I met him when he and his girlfriend, Kasumi-san rushed into the veterinary one afternoon. Apparently, there was something wrong with their baby kitten that they had just adopted and they were afraid that she'd died. Luckily, whatever was bothering her was minor, so she was back up on her four feet after a night's rest. To thank me, Itsuki-san offered to make a new logo for Dōbutsu no Sewa. Needless to say, he did a really good job. So now, he and I count each other as good friends. I don't see him much, but its always nice when I do."

Kanade Alarie

"Kanade-chan is a nice person. She one of the drama club's best members, though I wouldn't really know since I'm not a part of it. But after seeing her on stage once, the things said about her has to be true! I mean, she looks really graceful and elegant whenever she's on stage in her costumes. I could never do what she does. The thought of performing in front of all of those people... ugh! I'm getting sick just thinking about it!"

"I really like the Kyoto division's team! Honestly, I don't think I've ever been to Kyoto before. I never really had reason to go there before, but... after seeing this team, maybe I should find time to visit there. "I remember her. She reminds me of Koko when we first met. The foolish girl somehow stumbled up the mountain and into a bear's den. She's lucky I was nearby. Bears don't care much for strangers intruding in their area, like me. Apparently, she got turned around walking throughout the city. How she ended up in the mountains is anyone's guess. I showed her the way back to her city. Her friends were waiting for her. It was... kinda sweet to see them all so worried about her."

"This boy... he reminds me so much of Aiden, it's not even remotely humorous. I met him and another young girl when I led their friend down the mountain. He started chastising her about running off, but I can tell he cared about her. He gives off the sense that he's the most responsible of the trio. Honestly, I can relate a lot to him. Aiden could learn a lot from him... I hope to find him someday..."

"The foolish girl's younger sister. She and the young man were waiting at the foot of the man for her older sister. She seemed nice and kind enough. Plus, I heard from Kotan and Kokomi that she is an actor. She even did a play here in Hakodate. I regret not going when I had the chance."

Lana Alarie

"Lana?" The CEO says the artist's name once, trying to remember where he's heard it before. "Lana, Lana, Lana..." He then lifts his head remembering. "Oh yeah! She used to be part of a rap group a long time ago in Kyoto. What were they called... oh yeah, the Darling Divaz. Their PROFILE page is surprisingly still up, and it still has more than its fair share of followers. No surprise considering how big the group was."

"A shame they ended the way they did. It reminds me a lot of C H A R O N, Oki's old group. I wonder who would win if it came down between the two? It would definitely be a match to see."

Itsuki Kamiko

"Ah, Kamiko-san." Eiji smiles at the photo of the designer. "Believe it or not, this young man helped me out sometime in the past when I first started up PROFILE. Admittedly, though the site attracted a lot of traffic, I thought it could still do better look-wise. I asked around and a lot of people recommended this young man to do the work for me. And needless to say, he didn't disappoint. To thank him, I opened a PROFILE page for him, and helped him get started."

"From what I see, he rarely uses it much. When he does, it's either to post pictures of him and his girlfriend, or to reach out to clients. There's nothing wrong with that. PROFILE has a use for everyone."

Kanade Alarie

"My wife, Maiya, is actually a big fan of stage plays. Due to work and family though, we rarely have time to go see them. But she still watches them when she can. Her favorite ones are the ones that include this young woman, Kanade-chan. Her PROFILE has a lot more followers than her sister, Lana, which is a bit of a shock. I mean, not saying she's bad or anything. But if given the choice between her or her sister, I'd take Lana anytime. I mean, come on! She was in a rap group, for crying out loud!"

Starlight Specters

"Lana's put together an impressive team, though that's no surprise. These guys have been turning heads since they first appeared. Masa and Oki can say whatever they want, but underestimating these guys is gonna get kicked out of the tournament sooner, rather than later. So... let's not do that, okay?"
