Gonna try this one a second time because I’m nothing if not relentless. These two images have been driving me up a wall since the movie came out and for good reason.

The ROTTMNT movie brought everything back around. A lot of the scenes played out, made you think it wasn’t going to get a dramatic parallel later that would tear your heart out, and then, lo and behold, a follow-up parallel that makes you wanna shred.

But I digress. These two images are my favorite parallels in the entire movie. Because we didn’t just get Leo apologizing after finally understanding Raph’s plight, we got a direct cause and correlation!

Raph’s sacrifice at the beginning of the movie, protecting Leo from the Kraang at the cost of his damaged shell. Fast forward near the end of the movie and Leo has sacrificed himself to save his family from the Kraang. While what he did wasn’t similar visually, the creators of this movie did the beautiful thing of using dramatic imagery and lighting to mimic Raph’s moment.

They paid homage to Raph because hero moves are totally his style.

My friends in choir have organised a brunch party this morning, so I've made like 30 pancakes to bring. My brother was supposed to be helping and going with me and driving me there, but he doesn't want to be up early so he's not going at all :/

I have showered and decided to wear pajamas. I've earned pajamas today. I'm already shaking from exertion and I haven't even left yet, so I've pregamed with tylenol and I'm bringing more with me! My camera battery is charging, my phone is charged, and my MP3 player can survive the apocalypse on one bar so I'm not worried about it :3

I'm so excited to have friends I can see in person!! I don't know if I will be alive for rehearsal Tuesday night, but at least I get to see people :3

Why, why, why are all of you trying to breed right now. Its not spring! I know it seems like spring because its 80-90F during the day and 50-60F at night, but it isn't, its October. Eventually it'll realize its actually fall and the temperatures will drop down? Maybe... Also, on the orange cheeks, I keep reading things like "will only breed in large flight cages/aviaries w/ cover" and "makes nest on the ground with cock bird nest on top" and "needs warm weather to breed" and "need insects to get into breeding condition"... OK then why are these little bastards trying to build a nest and breed in the bare-ass quarantine cage on a seed-only diet. Stop. It. I will probably let them breed since they actually come in the house overnight and from what I'm reading young pairs do very poorly their first time. Better to get it out of the way now and let them have a practice run where they probably won't even hatch chicks than waste a whole clutch in the spring I guess. Meanwhile the doves and society finches are all 👀👀👀 at the nestboxes.
