I love the 'change' question, as you'll get some background on Vox!

OC Asks: Character Design Edition

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

Vox isn't generally fidgety, though she does have one little tic when she's anxious or ready for a fight: flexing her fingers and cracking her knuckles.

For the most part, Vox is a quiet observer and doesn't like to let people know what she's feeling or thinking. Her clothing doesn't really affect the way she holds herself while still.

formal: What's your OC's formal look? Do they like dressing up? Do they have different looks for different occasions?

Vox has never had to pull off a formal look, though she'd probably go for a black cocktail dress if she had to attend such an event. Something simple and timeless so that people don't know that she has no idea how to dress herself for an occasion like that.

She actually does enjoy dressing up, to a degree. A lot of her clothing (except for the majority of her boots) are thrifted or handed down from Vik, so while she doesn't go out shopping for outfits, per say, she does like to show off her personality through her clothing.

Since she doesn't really have "occasions", Vox's closet isn't one with a lot of variety. A lot of leather, denim, and eclectic jackets.

change: Has your OC ever drastically changed their appearance? Significant haircuts, big tattoos, complete wardrobe swap, etc? Why? How do they feel about the change?

Yes yes!

Vox changed her hair right before moving out East, a way to start anew. Before the short pink curls, Vox had waist-length dark brown hair, still as curly and twice as big. A lot of people were pretty shocked, particularly Vik, who'd grown used to Vox having the same hair as her mother. She loved the change; cooler and lighter made it easier to live!

The new look became her signature style, and she keeps it for almost a decade and a half later. Vox finally returns to her natural hair after coming back from her mission from Mr. Blue Eyes, though she misses the pink from time to time.
