› ascended astarion x f! spawn tav
› word count : 2k+
› sorry but his ascended lines do something to me >.< & I finally felt brave enough to post this after my 200+ game hours (also im open to astarion requests btw :3)
warnings : mdni. compulsion. noncon elements. posessive behavior. angst ish. fingering. toxic relationship. reader has hair long enough to brush off shoulders. reader wears a revealing dress. pet names (dear, darling, little love, ect.). oral f receiving. he calls you dinner sorry lol
Tumblr media
This is the first time he's ever done this, compelled you.
If heat could still pool beneath your skin, anger more akin to molten lava beneath the surface, surely it would have. He broke his promise to you, the small thread of security that allowed you to go along with becoming a spawn. You also want to weep, wish tears could well freely in your eyes and track down your cheeks.
But even that is denied to you. Instead you're rooted to the spot, the marble flooring devoid of any echoing footsteps and the air hanging thick with frightening anticipation.
You can't reflexively jump when his lithe fingers move your hair from your shoulders, brushing your own equally icy skin. Much of your body is routinely on display for the vampire ascendant, something else you've always swallowed your displeasure on. There is also the absence of a gasp as his hand grips the back of your neck, an odd pantomime of a mother cat carrying its kitten by the scruff.
"Tell me," he asked, "do I not give you a life of constant pleasure?"
The words slip from your mouth unbidden. "Yes."
"Haven't I made sure you want for nothing?"
Again. "Yes."
His grip tightens, forcing your head to the side a bit and you wish you could wince.
"Then why, my little love, are you so insistent on acting like an ungrateful brat?" He spits out the question, forcing you to meet his ruby gaze by turning your head himself. You've never felt more doll-like, a petulant child.
"You compelled me. Forbade me from going outside the palace bounds. It upsets me that I cannot see our friends and companions. It upsets me that you broke your promise." Your affect couldn't be flatter, a dizzying contrast to how much pain you truly felt inside, a cruel effect of compulsion.
The dining room is quiet, thick with tension as he seemingly takes in your reasoning in silence.
The laughter that bursts from his lips is harsh, not because it's forced or hollow, but because it's real, legitimate laughter. He releases you to cross his arms, chortling so much tears well in his eyes. It makes something absolutely hideous twist in your gut, watching his display as if your feelings were nothing but the realms crassest joke.
All the while you stand statuesque, frozen and seething as your lover mocks you.
"Don't be stupid, darling. You're mine, remember?" Astarion caressed your jaw, positioning himself front and center in all your senses. "Your future has been mine to decide the moment that little worm was ousted from our heads."
Your eyes catch the scar on the side of his neck, bite marks like a twin to your own. Something else inside you is dying, a slow march, and soon the Crimson Palace will be more like your mausoleum than your home.
"Yes."
"Good," he pauses, seemingly sizing you up for reasons unclear, "Sit back. On the tabletop, darling."
Your movements are automatic, body and mind completely untethered from one another in terms of control. An anxiety grips your mind, sharp fingers digging into your brain and you perch on the vast, ornate table.
"Mhm, you know, I didn't get to finish my meal since you decided to spoil dinner with your silent sulking." His smile is a wicked thing. "But I do think we should move on to dessert now anyway."
One hand slides up the revealing slit of your dress, icily fondling your flesh and slowly inching upwards before his fingers are brushing along the seam of your underwear. All you can do is remain frozen, legs spread, as if you were a plaything for him to pose and contort any way he pleased. You suppose that's all you might be now.
"How about an... even trade, of sorts? In exchange for forgiving this little trespass with no punishment, you agree not to question my decisions."
Its not fair, the answer isn't truly your own. "A deal, yes."
A contented sigh leaves him as his index finger rubs up and down your clothed cunt, but his eyes are sharp and you know it's not lost on him how damp your underwear is. When he grins again those fangs are on full display, exaggerated by the shadows cast from the flickering candlelight.
It breaks your heart that he's as beautiful as ever, that still the baser parts of you can't help but desire him.
His plush lips find yours with comfortable familiarity, the perfect genius of their synched movement a testament to how much time he's spent mapping your mouth, committing it to memory. As you slip your arms around his neck you realize the compulsion is gone, but desire keeps you rooted in place, enjoying the feeling of his wandering, groping hands.
Forcing yourself to forget for selfish pleasure is surprisingly easy, a skill you've cultivated the past few months.
You gasp into his mouth as his fingers slip past your underwear, swiping through your wetness before lazily circling your already aching clit. The stimulation makes your hips jerk, chasing his hand for more friction but his other presses firmly against your hip to keep you still.
"Don't be gluttonous dear. I'm the one who didn't get to finish my dinner." He whispers against your parted lips, trailing sloppy open mouthed kisses down the column of your throat, the exposed tops of your breasts, until he's sunk to his knees in front of you.
As he lifts the skirt of your dress you lay back against the heavy polished oak table, and if your heart could race it would be galloping out of your chest in anticipation. Thankfully Astarion doesn't keep you waiting long, he was true to his word that there was no punishment this time as he pulled down your underwear and trailed chaste kisses from your calf, your thighs, all the way to your soaked cunt as you squeezed your eyes shut.
"My delicious little treat," he murmured, his breath fanning across your skin, making you clench around nothing right before he placed a kiss to your clit.
The smallest of moans escaped you and it was enough to encourage him, tongue swiping through your arousal as his fingers prodded at your entrance. When he sucked against your clit your back arched off the table and every noise became amplified: the way you were panting, the slick slurping sounds of his mouth working against you, the squelching as two fingers slid inside you to start scissoring against your spongy walls. The cacophony was enough to make your head spin as your hands flailed downward, looking to grasp any part of him you could reach.
Grasping at his alabaster hair you cry out his name, with the same reverence one would use to call out to a god, and it only spurs him on. He groans against you as your hips start to rise, chasing the stimulation from his tongue and feeling the first embers of climax catching in your abdomen.
"Please -" tears slip down your cheeks as his fingers increase their pace, his tongue devouring you ceaselessly and you nearly choked on your own cries as your thigh muscles tense impossibly tight.
Your legs shake against his shoulders as your fingers scrape against his scalp, the embers now transformed into a roaring pyre, burning you from the inside out as the edges of your mind start to peel from the internal heat and pressure. You squirm recklessly, mouth hung open in a silent cry as your upper half rises off the table.
Slowly you lay back, struggling to control your muscle tremors and with one final kiss to your throbbing clit, that makes you yelp, Astarion pulls back, draping your skirt back in place and slipping your underwear in his pocket.
"You see, I can be quite forgiving darling. Just don't push it in the future."

The Problems with HOTD's Alicent
Hotd made a lot of interesting choices about their characterizations, especially when it comes to Alicent. First off, there's the obvious age change, which I know has been commented on a lot, so I'm not going to be talking about that in this post. What I'm going to talk about is the changes in her character itself (made supposedly in the name of feminism might I add) and why that hurts the story itself.
To start off: the constant victimization. Now, having Alicent being a victim of marital rape is not my issue, it was definitely not uncommon in the time period asoiaf is based on. My issue is turning it and her many other victimizations into one of her only personality traits. Literally Alicent's main traits are: Rhaenyra's former bff, victim of Otto, victim of Viserys, teen mom, and victim of Larys. Can everyone see the pattern? Victimization for the sake of it is disgusting and exploitative, and it's even worse when they, in order to fulfill the storyline created by grrm, turn her into an abuser herself. Like she has no development past the victim-abuser cycle and its depressing at best and enraging at worst. How is that feminist?
Now how does that hurt the story? Well I did allude to it above, but I say it clearly this time: it gives her no character arc and stunts one of the main characters which cripples any emotional tension the writers are trying to build. Rhaenyra in episode 8 may as well be talking to Alicent in episode 5, which is the last time we see Alicent develop at all. We see Rhaenyra change over the episodes, especially over the 10 year time skip, but Alicent remains the spiteful, paranoid girl she was at the end of episode 5. That's half the fucking season as a stagnant character! This wouldn't be so bad if she was a side character, like Harwin and Lyonel, but she's literally one of the main characters, how the fuck is this good writing?
Next change: turning Alicent's main motivation into protecting her children. This is something I like to call the Cersei effect: the belief that if your main female antagonist, just giving her the role of protective mom is all you need to make her nuanc3ed. Which is total bs and totally misses what exactly it was that makes Cersei an interesting antagonist. Actually they took more than just the children thing from Cersei, I think that's also where they got the marital rape, loveless marriage, and being called the ex's name from. But anyway, the reason this angle doesn't work (aside from it being fucking lazy) is because, in this story, Alicent helps start a fucking civil war. How the fuck does that protect her kids?? And on top of that, how does forcing your 13 y/o daughter to her 15 y/o abusive brother (and don't say Aegon wasn't an abuser yet, he was bullying and harassing Aemond long before the marriage) protect her? By keeping her close? What was she going to do, supervise them every time they're alone? Make sure Aegon is sober and not assaulting her? Basically what I'm getting at: Alicent's actions are completely counter-intuitive to her supposed main goal of protecting her children. And it shows since she had to live through all of them dying because of her and Otto's actions.
The reason that is harmful to the story is pretty much what I said above, but I'll say it more clearly here: if your antagonist/rival's actions are completely nonsensical with their goal, they are a bad antagonist/rival and the story is therefore lacking any real conflict. The only time Alicent's actions made some sense were in episode 7 when she attacked Rhaenyra, that was clearly years of resentment boiling over and anger over how Viserys reacted to her son's maiming. That is the only time I've ever found her compelling after episode 3.
All this to say: Alicent's hotd characterization makes no sense and it destroys any actual conflict beyond pettiness in the story, which completely ruins it. Thank you for reading this far, I know this was really fucking long.

geto suguru | motivation nsfw. spicy and wordy, minors do not interact. i'm a novice runner and know nothing about fencing but it suits suguru 💯
Tumblr media
"breathe babe." his wonderful, sultry voice does nothing to ease the pressure of his hand focused on their mission. help massage and move the lactic acid building in your legs.
it's the side effect of being a runner. it's always painful, hence you tend to skip the massages offered by your trainers and foam roll your muscles (stopping before it hurts too much.)
but not under suguru geto's watch. he knows you have a big run tomorrow, a super duper, medal earning run. he's seen your dedication to the sport and is always amazed at the sheer discipline you have.
as a fellow athelete, he admires it. his sport, fencing, requires a different kind of focus but the little times he's jogged a 5k or 10k behind you really puts running into perspective. he remembers the soreness and ache. he's not going to let you run on achey muscles.
he moves down to your calves, gets a tense exhale and he knows you're going to protest. "we can do streteching in-ah, instead. dy-dynamic st-fuck that hurts." he barely hums before pulling your legs closer.
it moves your shorts higher, exposing the flesh of your bum, he makes a mental note to massage there last. the glutes and hips are vital to easy running and overall movement afterall.
he moves towards your achielles, aware this is a pretty sensitive spot for you and the shudder you realease is sinful.
he's not going to stop, he's found the knots, he's going to diligently knead them away. going to make sure you feel good, your legs feel strong. he won't be distracted by your noises.
it goes on for too long, the pain is less, but suguru's hands are warm. the constant movement and gentle praising is getting to you. "you're so dedicated." "almost done, you're being so good for me." "taking it so sweetly." " you're so amazing." "such a disciplined athelete." "how lucky am i?" "i get to call you mine." he's hands are slower, gentler. slowly his movement moves up, pulls you closer into his lap. your shorts bunching uncomfortably, it's a flimsy piece of fabric. leaving noting to imagination but it feels soft.
sugur's hands are now pushing into the space where your hamstrings meet your glutes. teasing the flesh, pulling and pushing with his thumbs.
"su...suguru." you huff, turning to catch his eyes and he's got a hand on your neck, pulling you up, straddling his lap, soft kisses to your lips and jaw.
the position hurts a little, your quads are still tight but you don't want him to know, don't want him massaging, want him to touch you instead.
"you said you'd make me feel good." you pout, he tries to steal more kisses. vaguely aware he needs to be at practice soon and you are not going to run a raise with bruised hips and his hand prints peaking under your run shorts. those are for his eyes only.
"i'm not done yet." hands on your hips moving to grab at your round flesh, gives your ass a really tight squeeze. "lie down for me yeah?"
trying to change suguru geto's mind is near impossible and you'd rather kiss him silly then hear another lecture about proper post-running routine. gosh, he sounds like a runner with all the research he's done on your sport.
a smile slips your lips as your stomach meets the pillow suguru has placed for you, and if you stretch your arms and it happens to push your hips and butt higher well, that's just you stretching. also part of a good post-run routine.
he gives you a small tsk before pushing your hips flat to the bed. straddles your legs and lets his hands start massaging your lower back, his thumbs move as a team up and down one side of your bum and then the next. your glutes are really tight and you relax into the movement. it feels nice.
when suguru notices your breathing slow and your muscles with less tension, he starts to move his thumbs under your shorts.
the fabric is mostly bunched into your crease anyways, if he's pulling it higher it's just so it fits better. he needs to massage closer to your lovely leaking opening as it is.
and if you moan at the tension, moan at the pull it's not your fault. he's so controlled, working you up so nicely, it's not your fault at all. you his lips on your lower back. then his tongue followed by his teeth and his voice is so deep when he asks, "ready? still want me to make you feel good?"
your nodidng is useless because he wants to hear your words. no point in swaying your hips, he holds them still. "suguru, please. you promised."
"such a pretty pretty thing." he lifts your hips up, pulls the shorts down, spreads your cheecks, thumbs dangerously pushing where you want him the most.
"l..like this suguru? is...this okay?" this angle is new, suddenly feeling shy you want to see him, need assurance.
you feel his entire body lie on top of you, the pressure welcome, you feel a certain bulge near your hips, so he is affectd too. he moves to the side of your body, his focus is on your reassurance, this is about you. he kisses the nape of your neck, a hand turns your face to his, lips on your cheeks and he's looking at you with so much adoration.
"we can stop and change if you want."
"you want to try this?" he nodds, " "promise. it'll feel really good." and he's so patient, waits for your decision, doesn't push or pull. hands moving to your low back, keeping you grounded.
"okay, kiss me more first please." it's so filthy, nothing prodigy fencer should know how to do. but suguru is special, selective, always a mystery and somehow you're his entire world.
he moves back down your body. pushes but never breaches his thumb into your wet, wanting, aching core. indulges in your tiny gasps, marks the top of your hamstring with a very nice hickey.
only pushes his thumb in once he completes a matching mark on your other hamstring. it's enough to fuel your need, you're so wet, you can feel it. his slow and steady in and out motion driving you mad.
he speeds up a little bit, deeper now, almost touching where you want him to, barely grazing it. so you try to help him, you push your hips back and he pulls his thumb out.
"no babe, this is my job." but both his thumbs are pushing the sides of your pussy. squeezing the lips together. you're moaning his name, burning.
"okay, oka-fuck." he pushes a thumb in again, the other starting to run small circles on your clit. it's so slow, it feels so good. the noises your making are absolutely criminal.
suguru is lost in trance, you're so wet. he can feel the heat on his hands, fuck the noises your making, the way you're saying his name like a prayer over and over.
he needs a taste. moves his thumb near your occupied hole, and laps at the delicious juices making a mess on his sheets.
he feels you twitch and tremble. "still babe, be good for me. i know you can." he knows it's mean, you've already been so good for him, he's been slowly bringing you to the edge and back.
"can't. need you, please pleas-ah." he replaces his thumb with a finger, followed by another and another. the quick sucession and stretch making you so full suddenly.
a thumb is back on your clit, moving faster. your hips moving on their own, your not saying coherent words anymore. he doesn't need you to. "that's right, that's right, you're so close."
he guides you throw it, his fingers reaching deep and full, constantly massage the sweetest spot and pushes you over the edge.
you feel his wet hands on your hips, his voice near your back as he leaves kisses up ad down your spine. "you did so well. made such pretty sounds for me." he pulls you close, spooning you perfectly. you're so relaxed, boneless.
"keep breathing babe."
when your eyes peak open you're still in his bed, a blanket thrown over you and two glasses of cool water stand proudly on the bedside table. no stickyness or sweat lingers on your skin, he's changed you into one of his band tshirts and boxers that are suspisciously in your size.
the bathroom fan clicks off, suguru steps out of the shower looking better than any adonis you've googled. hair tied in a messy bun, towel wrapped low on his hips. he's shuffling to grab his training fit of the day before his eyes catch you.
the smile is so sweet, he's in your space instantly. running hair from your face, small kisses and praises. "you're gonna finish both of these, right?"
you frown at him. "hey, electrolytes and hydration are key fo-" you smush his face with a pillow. but take a big sip of the glass he's held out for you. "atta girl."
you help him chose his outfit, he rambles about his opponent and how training is going. when you stand you're surprised at the lack of soreness?
you fully expected to be comfortably sore, suguru is big, no matter the stretching you're always left a little sore after. fully expecting your hips to also ache from the firm grip suguru keeps when he's drilling you into the mattress but that's missing too.
"i'm not going to have you running side-to-side babe." he's done packing his gear as you follow him into the kitchen. "but, you didn't-?" "who says i didn't?"
the blush on your cheeks should be on his cheeks but he's busy making toast. this fine fine fine man is too much, too good, too nice. "but, i wanted to. i would've woken back-" "shush. i'm not the one running a marathon tomorrow."
"don't remind me. though I should get a new PR, that would be fun. you'll be there?"
always, is on the tip of his tongue but that's after. both of you need to finish the compeitions first. "of course. with your favorite smoothie and fries."
he has you smiling and you cling to him until he really needs to go. "stab the guy and come home kick!"
"always so violent babe." "it's the same jerk who cut your lip. a stab is the least he desreves."
he smiles, shaking his head and pulling you in for a final hug and kiss. "what's my reward if I get a new PR?" you tease. "going to be hard to top my reward for sticking to my training goals."
"i've got a few ideas."

Okay but why did the Wenclair break up scene- aka Enid finally standing up fer herself and calling Wednesday out on her constant prioritization of the investigation over everyone else and constant shitty behavior towards them, as she SHOULD mind you- have SO MUCH more weight and impact than every Love Interest Moment between Ajax, Xavier, and Tyler COMBINED? In this essay I will-
Wednesday literally showed no regret for constantly leading Tyler on and using his feelings for her own gain; Enid seems to just like Ajax ‘because he’s cute’ and then moving on ultra quick with Lucas because he was semi-nice to her for like two seconds and she thought that meant they should be together (yes, this is my Comphet Enid Delusions). When Xavier was literally in chains Wednesday still felt little remorse and had the gall to pretty much demand help from him DESPITE LITERALLY BEING THE REASON WHY HES WRONGFULLY IMPRISONED. Also, I love the difference of Wednesday trying to defend herself with, “I apologized. It’s over” as soon as she sees Enid’s distress and THEN getting defensive at Enid’s call out with a, “I never asked you to do that.” Compared to her silence and stone cold expression during Xavier’s, Enid’s call out actually gets a reaction out of her with immediate effects.
When Enid left Wednesday alone in her room she immediately felt SO fucken regretful as she curled up on the floor- ON THE SPLIT OF THE WINDOW MIND U OUGHHH THE SYMBOLISM- and started to lament. Her despondent stare at Enid’s bed as the realization that she’ll likely never see the werewolf on that bed again truly sinks in, her slow walk towards the window, the way she slinks down to the floor and tucks her head into her pulled-up legs with her arms hugging close to herself in a self-soothing manner. Jenna, you are so masterful in conveying characters through sheer body language. Wednesday literally narrates to us that being alone, “For the first time in my life, it doesn’t feel good.” Enid leaving mattered so fucken much to Wednesday, her absence truly made her sit down- literally- and feel actual regret towards her actions. Not nearly getting killed multiple times, not constantly on the verge of being on expulsion, but Enid essentially giving up on her is what does her in.
The imagery standing/sitting on the split of the window is so powerful. One part of her still reaching for the familiar shadowy darkness, and yes this part is still pretty strong as she ends the scene still super determined to find the killer. But the color in her is growing, a half of her that’s shifted and become attached to a much softer side. Enid leaving was 10000% necessary because both needed the space. Enid needed time to recollect and reinforce her boundaries- which she does later and does so spectacularly my babygirl- meanwhile Wednesday has to fully face the consequences of her actions and accept that she needs to do better. This sort of breakup scene- because cmon, the sheer tension and emotional haywire and immediate regret hits you like a TRUCK don’t tell me this wasn’t a breakup- was such a pivotal point of Wenclair’s relationship because without it neither would’ve had the foundation to finally move forward on equal footing. Enid probably would have run herself into the ground trying to people-please Wednesday because she’s so desperate to not be alone while Wednesday would have kept acting like a deflecting, detached goth girlie who keeps moving forward no matter the cost. Now that grievances have been aired, they have this chance to grow and be better, and my god, that’s exactly what they end up doing AND THATS WHY WENCLAIR IS SO FUCKEN GOOD TO AND FOR EACH OTHER‼️‼️‼️‼️
This analysis is getting quite long so here's a final note to reflect on. Not only did Wednesday give zero shits about Xavier in chains, look at how Xavier basically told Wednesday the same thing as Enid. He tells her she's toxic as shit and that she should just leave because her actions keep getting people hurt. In the aftermath, does Wednesday curl up and lament over him too? Do his words impart a change in Wednesday, a need to do and be better? Not even close, homies, not even close. The difference in how Enid's rejection of Wednesday affects her versus Xavier's is so fucken undeniably H U G E it's obvious who Wednesday truly cares about more in the long run and therefore pathetically hilarious how they keep shoving straight romances down our throats when Wenclair clearly holds SO much more chemistry and weight. If anything, the only good thing Xavier’s and Wednesday’s ‘romance’ gave us is a parallel, a foils of sorts, to Wenclair and what a Wednesday who gives no shits looks like to what a Wednesday who gives all the shits looks like.

According to your universe, which feeling Corinthian feels most towards Dream? Is it Desire or devotion or anything else?
And which feeling Dream feels most towards Corinthian? Is it affection? Or Desire? Or possessiveness or something else?
It is not necessary to mention one answer only. You may write a paragraph on what range of feelings they have for each other
Jessamy, my dearest—you have been incredibly patient thank you so much for this question! I’ve been thinking about this for weeks (it’s been sat in my drafts since before I went on holiday) but spent a while trying to get the wording right. I hope you enjoy my answer <3
I do think it’s love! Just perhaps not a human love.
The Baiting the Trap ‘verse works on the premise that after hundreds of years of sexual tension the Corinthian finally gets the chance to act on it as well as his anger at his creator. He was pretty certain Dream was going to destroy him afterwards so decided to just go for it. He’d been cool and collected for far too long and the lid was not going back on that box now it’s open. Dream is no less interested (he did initiate after all) but though far more unhinged when it comes to love/jealousy his sexual desire is a bit more chill. Idk, maybe it’s because I’m ace but I see him as being like ‘eh, depends on the sex so you better make it good’ when it comes to taking someone to bed.
It’s the devotion in observable/tangible actions that I think reels him in, that I think is the real lure, the single minded focus of another all for him is something Dream doesn’t bother trying to resist. He'll never see it as a weakness either. I think it stems partly from a unmet need to feel entirely accepted, entirely wanted, when so often there are parts of him that others find too extreme.
Too sharp.
So Baiting the Trap is still only just entering the second ‘arc’ which means there’s a lot more to some but…
The antagonism, the extremes, the spectrum of morality and the acceptance/competition of each other’s sharpness…it’s always going to be a large part of their relationship. Though I would add that I think the Corinthian’s greedy possession is a grounding force, which I’ve mostly implied up to this point but there will be some more explicit confirmations coming up in the series. Dream likes how fiercely he’s claimed, how intent his nightmare is on knowing him. Yeah it's the Corinthian figuring out weaknesses too but…it’s looking beneath. Trying to see him as he is.
It’s wanting to.
And it’s wanting to put his fingerprints all over him.
Dream made the Corinthian (which gives us all the wonderful facets of a creator/creation dynamic) but…to him there is something unique about being chosen. About laying the bait and having the Corinthian decide to take it every time. Even if Dream knows that he will, knows that he can offer himself, he isn’t forcing it. As much as that prods at the Corinthian’s desire for agency, stings his pride, it also gives to it. In a way BTT Dream is soothing the original wound of the Corinthian’s betrayal for them both. He rebelled by turning away, by leaving, but this is him deciding to act that frustration out while also no longer denying how much he wants Dream.
So just by being so obsessed with defeating him in such a deeply personal—up close and incredibly intimate—way, the Corinthian is effectively giving Dream all the attention he could ever want.
Promising a constant supply of the devotion I think Dream requires to feel satisfied by a lover.
Though it’s by no means one sided. The Corinthian gets a taste of looking at the bigger picture, at Dream’s responsibility for the larger scale, and that’s compelling to him in this context because understanding it allows him to enjoy what it means for his creator to turn away for even a little while. Disgruntlement over Dream’s commitment to his responsibilities has always been (and always will be) a source of tension in their relationship. But this is also a manifestation of the Corinthian’s canon need to prove he was made right—that I also tend to interpret as his wish to prove he is the most worthy believer, the only one to do it correctly—so now he dares blasphemy so he can worship without distance.
While Dream is enjoying the novelty of being the singular object of another's focus, the Corinthian gets to enjoy moments of having what is essentially a universe stare him down without blinking. And that fulfills his own need for attention, his own desire to feel wanted. It’s like sauntering right up to a god busy answering prayers and grabbing them by the hand.
It’s saying ‘reply later I want you now’.
Of course possessiveness and obsession often appear alongside an additional dynamic of ownership that borders on objectification. But with these two I’ve always seen it differently.
Above I mentioned Dream finding the Corinthian’s possessive nature to be a grounding force, and this is really just a continuation of that point because the Corinthian feels the same way about Dream. I don’t think dehumanisation/objectification really works the way we’re used to conceptualising it with characters that have never been human in the first place. We can’t take humanity away from them but what we can take is personhood. Which I think is something both Dream and the Corinthian value incredibly highly. To be honest, I think that in many ways they both use what we might see as objectification to affirm identity in/to each other, to affirm personhood.
It’s a return of self, not a denial of it, humanity the real box when the Corinthian and Dream have always been Other.
It might sound odd but I see a lot of their relationship through this lens. The Corinthian is a ‘thing’ in the same way as Dream is, an object of the same kind, with a function and a role, but that doesn’t deny a sense of self. They don’t need to be in conflict.
So I suppose in BTT that’s really what it’s about. How their relationship supports a reaffirmation of both of their identities. The Corinthian is Dream’s creation, his nightmare, his masterpiece, but that doesn’t mean he’s just a thing to him. To me the creator/creation dynamic adds identity, adds agency, contributes to the fullness of character rather than taking away from it. Neither of them have to scale themselves down. They don't have to make themselves smaller. So that's another part of what these characters can find in each other, part of the balance I like to write, part of how they ground themselves while also enjoying testing their own extremes.
It’s love and possessiveness and you help me keep my balance. It’s I can be me to the fullest, it’s no part of me is ugly to you. It’s nothing will make me look away. It’s I will fight with you forever and you will let me, you won’t burn out, you can take all that I am.
You want all of what I am and that is love.

JUST FINISHED EPISODE 6!!! Before I unblock the Knuckles Series tags, I wanted to give my closing thoughts.
Overall, I really REALLY enjoyed this! :D I laughed a lot, the tension was good, the animation and choreography was incredible, and everything was just all around amazing. I wish we got to cut back to Green Hills every now and then though. Getting a little side plot with Sonic and Tails would have been cute and very nice. But I really enjoyed Wade and Knuckles' dynamic, though I think Knuckles should have had a bit more development and screen time.
One thing I absolutely ADORED was the theme song, along with the constant theme of older music scattered throughout the series. I gasped out loud when I saw Wade's discman. (My sister still has one!) I grew up listening to CDs. When it was time for a roadtrip, my family would grab one of our big CD cases for the car ride. So looking at that theme song animation made my heart absolutely soar. ❤️ And while I didn't recognize any of the songs they played in the episodes (save for a couple), I can really appreciate the vibe. I also grew up listening to my dad's music. Stuff from when HE was growing up. It just felt right to have Wade into all kinds of music.
I have only a few complaints. First: Wanda was kinda really, really annoying. She got better as time went on, but she was really bad at first. She felt like a kid who never grew up. Like seriously, why is she still picking fights with Wade??? You're both adults! Act like it! The whole dinner scene over all was just painful to watch. It felt waaaay too similar to some dinners I've had with my own family, which yes, points for accuracy I guess, but I just felt like Knuckles the entire time. Awkward, wishing they'd just quit arguing and enjoy dinner, feeling out of place. I'm not sure if that's what they were going for or not. (The fight scene to protect the candles was very nice though :D)
Second: Pachacamac. I dunno, he was really annoying, and not at all like his power hungry, war mongering, cold, game counterpart. I also feel like he was really unnecessary? He probably could've been written out really easily. His 'funny' bits weren't even that funny and there was so many other opportunities for comedy during the episodes. He was really unneeded.
Finally: Almost everything in episode 4. The . . . low quality rock opera thing???? I'll admit, that the way they did all the practical effects and stuff was really cool! But everything else? WHY. Why are we doing this? Why are we singing? Why are we cutting Knuckles out of almost an entire episode? Why?????? I feel like this episode could've been done so many other different ways. HOWEVER! I really enjoyed the bit at the end. Seeing Wade stand up to Sinclair was AMAZING and I was cheering him on the whole time.
I kinda also wish they'd hinted at the third movie a bit. For a bit of set up. But they did clear up that GUN didn't always go by GUN, which I guess fixes our 'how did GUN kill Maria if they were only created after the first movie' problem!
Anyway, save for a few rough patches, this is a really good show! (Probably would've been better with one episode per week though. Can you imagine the suspense factor?? Would've been EPIC!!)

reading log
Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon: I got half-way through this before I had to put it down. It starts off very strong- young girl escapes a Black supremacist religious cult compound where she was married to the leader at 13, has twins in the woods, has to navigate survival when the cult is after her, she has cult trauma, and on the other side is an anti-Black society. But when her kids are grown up enough to start talking (at... three years old... full complex sentences, which probably gets explained later on) the pacing gets... so frustrating. And I don’t always agree that “show, don’t tell” is a hard rule a writer has to follow for their book to be good. But this book is ALL TELLING. It does that thing, where instead of showing you character-building and relationship-building scenes, it just gives a sentence or two saying “yeah this happened” AFTER introducing a scene where that information/development is relevant. Once the babies are grown up enough to hold full conversations, there are these constant asides explaining their personalities, but it has no relevance to what they’re saying/how they’re behaving in that scene? And things they did while growing up, and how they interact with each other and their mom, that we never actually see. Just a sentence or two saying “this happens/happened.” This is like most of the book by the point I dropped it, it felt like.
There’s also just a lot that stretched my suspension of disbelief to breaking point (the MC abandoning her literal infant children in the woods, where she has been trying to keep them safe from a would-be murderer hunting them down for weeks and months, so she can go fuck a stranger, and it’s never like... discussed that her babies are just out there for hours alone...)
I might try it again later and push through... I really liked the author’s first novel An Unkindness of Ghosts, and short stories published online... But this just be a case of one single book by a good author not working for me lol.
The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling
THIS ONE I WAS OBSESSED WITH And i prattled on and on about it on Twitter and Discord... I might just collect things I’ve already said there lol
This is a Sci-fi cave horror story, where our MC is Gyre, a woman desperate to make enough money to get off her backwater mining-dominated planet and find her mother, who vanished without a trace years ago. To get that money she lies her way into a highly lucrative caving expedition, claiming to have much more experience with professional dives than she does (that is, 0.) This is extremely heavy with atmospheric and psychological horror in the best way. Also it’s canon gay in the most fucked up way and I’m obsessed. The further into the cave Gyre, and the reader gets, the deeper both get into the fucked-up web of manipulation and deceit being spun by Gyre’s employer, Em, a  woman who she only knows as a cold, distant voice over her suit’s speaker systems, and who is her only connection to the surface.
The progression of Gyre and Em’s relationship is sooooooo fucking good, and impactful, and SEXY AS HELL. Em is terrible. She is hyper-controlling, with no compunctions in straight-up hijacking Gyre’s suit, forcing drugs into her system and effectively taking control of her body, for her own good. Em is also a huge woobie... just a huge woobie whose coping mechanism is manipulation and gaslighting. Even as they come to understand one another’s issues and actions and horrible personality traits, there’s never a moment where the tension is gone, where the reality of how terrible they both are is. Gyre, rash and belligerent and slowly losing her grasp on reality the deeper into the cave she gets, keeps looking for those moments where Em stops being a monster and always gets her hopes up, that finally, finally this is Em at her best, finally Em has let go over everything that makes her behave the way she does. But obviously its not that simple. Obviously Gyre is continuously disappointed.
The ending just blew me away and was better than anything I could have expected. It’s a book about two women who go through complete, utter, excruciating hell together, psychologically eviscerate one another, rip into the sinews of each other to tear one another apart, and then come out unable to separate themselves from each other. Their relationship is full of hate, and pain, and fear, and distrust, and endless pools of grief, yet also this intense co-dependent love forged from countless near-death experiences and having only each other to rely on. It’s so hot. It’s whump central!! Jesus christ. I really do not know how to describe it in words that truly capture how good this book was. I also really don’t want to spoil it but it feels inevitable. Please just read this if you want women being horrible to each other while losing their sanity in haunted caves.
Also ehehe. ehehehehehehehe.

Slow Damage (cw for n s f w/ noncon discussion)
This counts as a book when its a 60 hour long visual novel. Actually I only completed two routes (Taku and Madarame) and am halfway through Rei’s and am takig a break. But it counts. I think this is actually my favorite Nitro+chiral VN for overall plot; the story is extremely engaging and I’m enjoying bits and pieces being revealed as I go through each route.
Also I LOVE the translation/localization SO MUCH. You can tell how much care was put into choosing just the right words to get across characters’ personalities and relationships into English, while also making it very enjoyable to read. And I LOVE the choice to translate Rei’s fem neesan vibes into Valley Girl-wannabe club queen vibes, so much. The way he and his friends speak really bring me back to my days hanging out with fems and queens in gay bars/clubs, it all sounded so naturally written and like a lot of care was put into it.
There’s some word choices that made me go ???? but overall I think this is one of the most smoothly translated and localized visual novels, or any Japanese media, I’ve read. The twitter drama complaining about the translater being horrible was dumb as hell, okay lol.
But I also think it’s one of my least favorites in term of actual erotic content lol... Somehow it feels EXTREMELY tame? Like, there’s dubcon, there’s guro, there’s yandere kidnapping petplay, there’s forced drugging, there’s a lot! But none of it lands right or like... goes as far as I’d expect it to... it feels like a lot is being held back. Maybe N+C games were always like this, and it’s just less impressive to me now that I’m an adult and not in middle school? IDK.
Taku’s route especially was disappointment cus he’s the only DILF Towa gets to fuck, and is explicitly the daddy kink route. But his good and bad end just left me really cold. Madarame got to me a lot more, because his entire thing is noncon petplay and caretaking and eye trauma kink, which is like, my entire fucking jam, hello. But it felt so emotionally EMPTY... I think that’s generally my issue, is Towa is a protagonist who doesn’t /care/ about anything, who is emotionally numb, and who is such a masochist that he doesn’t even react when people force themselves on him, he actively enjoys it. N+C is usually noncon kink central so a protag who just loves everything anyone does to him doesn’t hit. Madarame route was also nice because Towa FINALLY showed emotional reactions of fear and anger, but then it like fizzles out near-immediately as he just goes along with everything Madarame does, because Towa just does not care. I did end up liking the Madarame bad end though, there’s that!!
I guess I just realized the big appeal for me in N+C games is the poor pitiable protags who are terrified for their lives and being terrorized, and Towa is like, impossible to put in this position, because he is the world’s most extreme masochist...  Also I really wanted more with the other DILFs in the game (Toono, Sakaki) but even when Toono has Towa held captive, forced to crossdress, and forced to pretend to be Toono’s lover to freak out Taku, nothing happenssssss whyyyyyy there’s so many opportunities for fucked up shit that go nowhereeeeeee
ok thats my horny brain review of Slow Damage’s first two routes, thanks for your time

A Natural Path to Relief: My Experience with the Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set V.1
For years, I've battled with chronic back pain, often leaving me feeling tense and sluggish. Traditional massages offered temporary relief, but the cost and scheduling became a burden. That's when I stumbled upon the Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set V.1, a product promising natural pain relief through the power of acupressure. Intrigued by the concept of a self-administered solution, I decided to give it a try.
Tumblr media
Unveiling the Science of Acupressure
The Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set wasn't just a spiky torture device. The included information explained the principles of acupressure, an ancient healing technique based on applying pressure to specific points on the body. These pressure points are believed to correspond to energy meridians, and stimulating them can promote relaxation, improve circulation, and alleviate pain. Understanding the science behind the product instilled confidence that the acupressure mat wasn't just a gimmick, but a natural approach to pain relief.
Easy to Use, Effective Results
One of the things I loved most about the Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set was its ease of use. The mat unrolled easily, and the pillow comfortably cradled my neck. The plastic spikes felt firm but not unbearable, and the pressure could be adjusted by placing a thin layer of fabric between the mat and my skin if needed. Simply lying on the mat for 20-30 minutes a day allowed me to experience its benefits. The included instructions offered guidance on targeted acupressure techniques for specific areas of concern.
Feeling the Tension Melt Away
Within a few weeks of consistent use, I started noticing a significant improvement in my overall well-being. The nagging back pain that had become a constant companion began to subside. The acupressure stimulation seemed to loosen tight muscles and promote relaxation, leaving me feeling more energised throughout the day. I also experienced better sleep quality, likely due to the improved muscle relaxation and reduced tension.
A Natural Remedy for a Modern Lifestyle
The true value of the Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set lies in its natural approach to pain relief. Unlike over-the-counter medications that can come with side effects, this acupressure set offers a safe and natural way to manage pain and improve well-being. It's a perfect solution for those seeking a drug-free alternative for pain management and relaxation.
A Long-Term Investment in Wellness
The Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set V.1 has become a staple in my self-care routine. The durable construction ensures it will be a long-lasting companion on my journey to a healthier and pain-free lifestyle. If you're looking for a natural solution to manage pain, improve sleep, and promote relaxation, I highly recommend the Meridian Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set. It's a small investment that yields significant benefits for your overall well-being.

A Lifesaver for Sleep and Stress: My Experience with Magnesium Breakthrough
For years, I'd been battling insomnia. The constant stress of work and daily life made it near impossible to switch off at night, leaving me exhausted and irritable. I tried everything – natural sleep remedies, relaxation techniques, even a fancy white noise machine. While some offered temporary relief, nothing truly addressed the root of the problem.
Tumblr media
Enter Magnesium Breakthrough
That's when I stumbled upon Magnesium Breakthrough. This supplement, formulated by BiOptimizers, promised to be a one-stop shop for all things magnesium. Now, I'll admit, I was initially sceptical. There are so many sleep aids on the market, and frankly, most end up gathering dust in the back of my cupboard. But after reading about the science behind magnesium and its role in sleep, I decided to give it a go.
Seven Forms for Maximum Benefit
What really drew me to Magnesium Breakthrough was its unique blend. Unlike many supplements that contain just one or two types of magnesium, this one boasts a whopping seven! These include well-known forms like magnesium glycinate and citrate, alongside lesser-known options like malate and taurate. The idea, according to BiOptimizers, is to target every tissue in the body with the most bioavailable forms of magnesium.
Sweet Dreams (Finally!)
The results, I have to say, have been nothing short of life-changing. Within a week of taking Magnesium Breakthrough, I noticed a significant improvement in my sleep quality. Falling asleep became easier, and more importantly, I stayed asleep. No more waking up in the middle of the night feeling wired and anxious. This newfound sleep has had a knock-on effect on my entire well-being. I have more energy throughout the day, my mood is noticeably brighter, and I can finally concentrate properly at work.
Beyond Sleep: A Multifaceted Approach to Health
It's important to note that Magnesium Breakthrough seems to do more than just improve sleep. I've also noticed a reduction in muscle tension, especially after a long day at the desk. Plus, I seem to be handling stress much better. Whether it's a looming deadline or a grumpy colleague, I can navigate challenges with a calmer head.
A Gentle Giant on the Gut
Another big plus for me is that Magnesium Breakthrough hasn't caused any nasty side effects. Some magnesium supplements can irritate the stomach, but this one seems very gentle. The capsules are easy to swallow, and I haven't experienced any digestive discomfort whatsoever.
A Bit Pricey, But Worth Every Penny
Now, I'll be honest, Magnesium Breakthrough isn't the cheapest supplement on the market. But considering the vast improvement it's made to my sleep, stress levels, and overall well-being, I believe it's worth every penny. For anyone struggling with sleep issues, anxiety, or just looking to boost their health, I highly recommend giving Magnesium Breakthrough a try. It might just be the missing piece you've been searching for. tunesharemore_vert

A Lifesaver for Sleep and Stress: My Experience with Magnesium Breakthrough
Tumblr media
I've always struggled with sleep. No matter how tired I felt, falling asleep and staying asleep was a constant battle. This lack of quality rest left me feeling perpetually drained and irritable. I tried various sleep aids, but they either came with unwanted side effects or simply didn't work. Then, I discovered Magnesium Breakthrough, and it's been a game-changer.
A Comprehensive Magnesium Formula
What initially drew me to Magnesium Breakthrough was its unique formula. Unlike most magnesium supplements containing just one or two forms, this product boasts a complete complex with seven different types of magnesium. This includes well-known varieties like bisglycinate and citrate, alongside others like malate and orotate. Each type offers distinct benefits, and the combination aims to ensure optimal absorption and address a wider range of needs.
Improved Sleep & Relaxation
Since taking Magnesium Breakthrough, I've noticed a significant improvement in my sleep quality. Falling asleep has become much easier, and I no longer experience those frustrating middle-of-the-night wake-ups. More importantly, I wake up feeling genuinely rested and refreshed. This newfound sleep quality has had a positive domino effect on my energy levels and overall mood. I feel more focused and productive throughout the day, and the constant grogginess has finally lifted.
Beyond Sleep: A Calmer Mind & Body
The benefits of Magnesium Breakthrough extend far beyond just sleep. I've also noticed a reduction in stress and anxiety. Daily life can be overwhelming at times, but I find myself handling stressful situations with a calmer disposition. This newfound sense of calm is likely due to magnesium's role in regulating the nervous system. Additionally, I've experienced a decrease in muscle tension, particularly in the evenings. This has been a welcome relief, especially after long days spent sitting at a desk.
Gentle on the System & Easy to Take
Many magnesium supplements can cause digestive discomfort. Thankfully, Magnesium Breakthrough hasn't caused any such issues for me. The capsules are easy to swallow and haven't resulted in any stomach upset. This is likely due to the inclusion of gentle forms like magnesium bisglycinate. Plus, the fact that it's formulated with all-natural ingredients gives me peace of mind.
Overall, a Highly Recommended Product
If you're struggling with sleep, stress, or simply looking to support your overall well-being, I highly recommend giving Magnesium Breakthrough a try. Its comprehensive formula, effectiveness, and gentle nature have made it a staple in my daily routine. While I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, it's certainly worth exploring the potential benefits this unique magnesium supplement can offer.

A Restful Revolution: My Experience with Magnesium Breakthrough
I've always considered myself a healthy sleeper, but lately, insomnia had become a persistent visitor. Tossing and turning, a racing mind – it was taking a toll on my energy levels and overall wellbeing. Determined to find a natural solution, I embarked on some research and stumbled upon Magnesium Breakthrough.
A Multifaceted Mineral
Tumblr media
Magnesium is a mineral crucial for hundreds of bodily functions, including muscle and nerve relaxation, energy production, and even blood sugar control [1]. However, many of us don't get enough magnesium from our diet alone. This can lead to a variety of health concerns, including sleep disturbances. Magnesium Breakthrough intrigued me because it offered a unique blend of seven different types of magnesium, each with its own benefits.
Seven Sources for Superior Absorption
Not all magnesium supplements are created equal. Some forms are poorly absorbed by the body, leading to unpleasant side effects like diarrhea. Magnesium Breakthrough boasts a combination of well-absorbed forms like magnesium bisglycinate and magnesium citrate, alongside others like malate and taurate that target specific needs. This comprehensive approach ensures you're getting the most out of your supplement.
Sweet Dreams, Finally!
The difference Magnesium Breakthrough made to my sleep was nothing short of remarkable. Within a week of taking the recommended dosage, I noticed a significant improvement in my ability to fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night. No more restless nights or waking up feeling unrested. The calming effect of the magnesium truly allowed my body and mind to unwind.
Beyond Sleep: A Well-Rounded Wellness Boost
While improved sleep was the most welcome change, I also noticed a positive impact on other aspects of my health. My daytime energy levels soared, and I felt more focused and mentally alert. Muscle tension, a constant companion due to my desk job, seemed to lessen as well. I can't definitively say it was all thanks to Magnesium Breakthrough, but I certainly felt a shift towards a more balanced and energised state.
A Gentle Giant on Your Shelf
Some magnesium supplements can be harsh on the digestive system. Thankfully, Magnesium Breakthrough capsules are gentle and haven't caused any unwanted side effects. They're also easy to swallow, making them a breeze to incorporate into my daily routine.
A Reliable Partner in Wellness
Magnesium Breakthrough has become a staple in my wellness cabinet. It's a natural sleep aid that truly works, and the additional health benefits make it a well-rounded investment. If you're looking to improve your sleep quality, boost your energy, and support your overall health, I highly recommend giving Magnesium Breakthrough a try.
Please note: While I've had a positive experience with Magnesium Breakthrough, it's always best to consult with your doctor before starting any new supplement, especially if you have any underlying health conditions.

A Calmer, More Rested Me: My Experience with Magnesium Breakthrough
Tumblr media
Living a fast-paced life often comes at a cost – for me, it manifested in constant tension headaches, trouble sleeping, and a general feeling of being on edge. While I knew magnesium could be beneficial, navigating the world of supplements can be overwhelming. That's where Magnesium Breakthrough came in. Here's how this unique supplement has helped me reclaim my sense of calm and well-being.
First Impressions: A Comprehensive Formula
Magnesium Breakthrough arrived in a sleek, modern package. The information leaflet explained the science behind the product, highlighting its use of seven different forms of magnesium, each targeting a specific need in the body. This comprehensive approach stood out to me – unlike other supplements that focus on just one or two forms, Magnesium Breakthrough offered a well-rounded solution.
Putting it to the Test: Addressing My Needs with Multiple Forms
Following the recommended dosage, I started incorporating Magnesium Breakthrough into my daily routine. Within a few days, I noticed a subtle shift. The constant tension in my shoulders seemed to ease, and the tightness in my jaw began to fade. More significantly, the quality of my sleep improved. I fell asleep faster and woke up feeling more rested, a welcome change from my usual grogginess.
Attributing these changes solely to the supplement is difficult, but the timing and the targeted approach of the seven different magnesium forms suggest a positive influence. It's important to note that everyone reacts differently to supplements. However, for me, Magnesium Breakthrough has been a game-changer.
Beyond Relaxation: A Holistic Approach to Well-being
The benefits of Magnesium Breakthrough extended beyond just relaxation and sleep improvement. I noticed an overall sense of calm and a better ability to manage stress. The daily grind no longer felt quite as overwhelming, and I found myself approaching challenges with a newfound sense of composure. Whether this was a direct result of the magnesium or a positive side effect of feeling more rested, it was a welcome addition to my well-being.
Convenience and Quality: A Winning Combination
Magnesium Breakthrough is incredibly easy to incorporate into my daily routine. The two-capsule serving size is convenient, and the capsules themselves are small and easy to swallow. The company's commitment to high-quality, bioavailable ingredients also gives me peace of mind.
A Valuable Addition to My Wellness Arsenal
If you're looking for a comprehensive and convenient way to experience the potential benefits of magnesium, Magnesium Breakthrough is worth considering. While individual results may vary, the combination of seven high-quality magnesium forms and the focus on overall well-being make this supplement a valuable addition to my daily routine. It's helped me reclaim a sense of calm, improve my sleep, and navigate stress more effectively. For anyone seeking a more balanced and relaxed approach to life, I highly recommend giving Magnesium Breakthrough a try.pen_sparktunesharemore_vert
