I've finished Wuthering Heights. Emotionally scary book. I hate Heathcliff...

I have found the 1851 review that called Isabella “one of the silliest and most credulous girls that fancy ever painted”:

Other WH characters for the Zodiac signs ask:
Catherine Earnshaw; Edgar Linton; Isabella Linton; Hindley Earnshaw; Cathy Linton (Catherine’s daughter)
Catherine: Gemini sun. The girl is insane. Never shuts up, selfish, highly perceptive but probably bipolar. Moody af. In perpetual conflict between two different realities and two different personalities. Scorpio moon. I mean, she is so petty and obsessive that she literally comes back as a ghost to haunt her asshole ex. She's so real for this. Aries rising. Anger issues, independent, strong-willed.
Edgar: Virgo sun, virgo moon and virgo rising. No comment, just a plain virgo.
Isabella: Pisces sun. Extremely naive, no contact with reality. Taurus moon because the girl is stubborn as hell. Cancer rising, she looks so delicate.
Hindley: Ew he's an Aries sun, with Scorpio moon and Aries rising. Self-explanatory, the guy is a jealous, egomaniac, impulsive moron.
Cathy: I can't tell for sure because I don't remember much. I think she's a Gemini sun like her mother because she can be superficial and arrogant, and she is curious and mischievous. But she has a Taurus moon because ultimately she is not so volatile or moody and can form genuine healthy attachments with people and a Pisces rising because she appears soft and pensive and kind of naive (the whole affair with Linton).

ranking Wuthering Heights characters but I lost what sanity I had left along the reading:
1° Heathcliff (he's so funny and relatable!)
2° Nelly (though sometimes it baffled me how she just watched things happen lol she's just as crazy as anyone on that house)
3° Hareton (loverboy)
4° Catherine - OG (dramatic and very girl, like her a lot)
5° Isabella (too dumb to believe EVERYONE about Heathcliff being bad for her but smart enough to run away)
6° Catherine - NEW (she was fine I guess)
7° Hindley (idk Nelly's love for him in nostalgia for the good old times mad me like him sometimes)
8° Zillah (didn't give a damn about anyone good for her)
9° Lockwood (weird city man gets shocked meeting people in the country who are weirder)
10° Edgar (loser honestly if he was not physically healthy he'd be a bitch boy just like his nephew)
11° Linton (sometimes he was funny I'll give him that)
12° Joseph (stupid ass was always saying shit)
especial note: the best thing in the book was the old Lintons dying after being pieces of shit to Heathcliff boy

Isabella Linton can escape the doomrot because she is not of Wuthering Heights; Hindley, Cathy I and Heathcliff cannot because the doomrot is their home and their blood

‘Fie, fie, Miss!’ I interrupted. ‘One might suppose you had never opened a Bible in your life. If God afflict your enemies, surely that ought to suffice you. It is both mean and presumptuous to add your torture to his!’ ‘In general I’ll allow that it would be, Ellen,’ she continued; ‘but what misery laid on Heathcliff could content me, unless I have a hand in it? I’d rather he suffered less, if I might cause his sufferings and he might know that I was the cause. Oh, I owe him so much. On only one condition can I hope to forgive him. It is, if I may take an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth; for every wrench of agony return a wrench: reduce him to my level. As he was the first to injure, make him the first to implore pardon; and then—why then, Ellen, I might show you some generosity. But it is utterly impossible I can ever be revenged, and therefore I cannot forgive him.’
–"Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë, XVII.
