so the fact that he is trying again is... not the least bit surprising, i guess...? and just cause we all can clearly see some red string of fate© shite, or whatever, does not mean that characters are supposed to see it as clearly, and it won’t take them idiots a couple more seasons to circle back to the conclusion, that might, for instance, seem fairly obvious to us

i guess, what i am saying is, even if some attempt at a wedding does happen (which judging by the red ceremonial coat it might), it in no way means that all the hope is lost, and nothing is going to transpire in the later seasons (which, judging by the reviews and accolades, there might be several more of)

A friend of mine told me, not so long ago:

You’re a little weird, but it’s okay

Meaning that I don’t necessarily freak the shit out of people. I’ve given some thought to that statement and it made me recollect some of the worst moments of my puny social life.

The awkward moments. These are the special times where you should have done or said something, but you remained silent/passive or did something incredibly off instead, throwing away every bit of self-respect you might have in the process.

Because when that moment is gone you really feel awful and you are the only one to blame for it.

I think that most of the introverts are over-analysing every second of their life, always fearful of the judgmental eyes of their peers. They are desperately trying not to look weird, trying to look normal, you know, being funny, joyful, or whatever. But it truly is the worse thing to do - trying to fake being natural - at least not without a proper training which could provide the required self-confidence.

Because being natural seems to me as nothing more but an act: having the right response at the right timing, with the appropriate intonation, like real actors on a stage. For most people the way to say “hello” is well integrated into their systems, it’s like driving, they don’t think about the ping-pong game of their communication.

But most introverts would feel at odds with such simple interactions. Even when they know that most of the daily conversations one has during a day is nothing more but small-talk, which should make it easier, right? But it often doesn’t change much. When I picture myself in those situations, I can feel the fear starting to eat away my brain. The only logical assumption I can come up with, is that shyness is mostly due to an incredibly heightened sense of self-consciousness. Under all that lies the dread of rejection and the desire to please.

Shy people have a fucked-up life, you can take my word for it…
