He hesitated as the child below him smiled and reached up. His claws rested right above its head and yet it looked delighted to see him. Did it not realize the danger it was in? It grabbed his fur and giggled.

Happy to see him that stopped him #(when was the last time anyone was happy to see him?)#(this is bc I thought it'd be funny if Khan raised akari as a Zoroark and then got upset and jealous #When ingo drops the fuck out of the sky and after becoming the warden becomes friendly #the weird feral child running with Zoroarks. He tries to guide her into human behaviors which she finds so INTERESTING #Esp when he decides she's good enough to go into town!!! The town humans are neat and not at all scary like khan had always said #Ingo lies and says she's his daughter. That they had gotten separated during travel. That she had to survive on her own for a time #Which is why she's... Like That. Everyone eats it up. Gives her free stuff. Tells her they're glad she's reunited with her dad.#Akari tells Khan (who's only referred to as 'malice' yet) and Khan gets jealous as FUCK.#That is HIS BABY. HE FOUND HER. HE RAISED HER. SHE'S HIS DAUGHTER. NOT INGO'S!!!#But when he tries to sneak into Jubilife to steal her back? Bring her home? Do something? He's caught and chased out. And the next morning #Things are abuzz with the news that a black Zoroark had tried to break in!! Those things are so dangerous!! Say...#Hadn't the clans mentioned a black Zoroark before?#Akari discovers then (long after befriending ingo and months since she started coming into town) that Khan had told her the truth.#That these people hated Zoroarks. Feared them. But Ingo tells her that the clans have been harassed by them for generations.#That Malice is right but also he's wrong. And Akari decides she's going to show how GOOD Zoroarks are!!! How loving the are to their family #She ends up helping Laventon and Rei with the dex. She is still known as Warden Ingo's Feral Daughter. And everyone wonders and fears #Bc somehow one of the first pokemon she caught was a zorua she keeps in her party ALWAYS. Ingo thinks her wanting to show the good side #of Zoroarks is a good thing. Peace would be beneficial. He's heard hunters in the pearl clan discuss wanting to track down and kill #Every Zoroark and zorua to keep them from hunting the clans. He doesn't want an entire species wiped out!#So there is Ingo and his 'daughter' (who he is genuinely starting to see as his daughter) and then suddenly #One day there is a knock at the door. And ingo opens it to see a young man with a nasty scar GLARING at him #And the first thing he says is 'give me back my child' which makes ingo ???)#There were more tags but Tumblr said 'fuck you that's too many'#TLDR ingo has to lie to Jubilife residents and tell them Khan is his ex and the residents are LIVING for the perceived Family Drama™️

I love the headcanon that Volo is immortal (probably cursed to be so due to Arceus and/or Giratina) and still alive in modern day Pokémon

It's not like it *couldn't* happen, AZ exists and Cogita is kind of implied to be immortal

Also I just like it when a character (especially a villain) is cursed with immortality

hmmmmmm... a non-roleswap scenario where Ingo got yeeted to Hisui when he was fifteen, and wound up growing into adulthood there. He was still taken into the Pearl Clan, although he wasn’t made Lady Sneasler’s Warden until he was in his early twenties and the previous Warden passed away. He grew up as Irida and Palina’s childhood friend, which meant he inevitably was mentored by Gaeric the same as the former. Some of the younger members of the Pearl Clan don’t even know that one of their clan’s leader’s closest companions originally fell to them from the sky.

He was in the middle of his Pokemon journey when it happened, and got to take his Pokemon with him, so he wound up in Hisui with his (then) Lampent, Drilbur, Fraxure, and Trubbish. He befriended a Gligar and a Machop to round out his team in Hisui. At some point he stopped using the former four’s pokeballs, and never actually caught the latter two. Sometimes he wonders how Emmet and Elesa filled out their teams- he kept his memories this time, after all. He supposes he’ll never have the answer, though.

It’s not like he could ever return home- at some point, he accepted Hisui as his new home. Leaving behind everyone and everything he knew hurt for a long time- but by the time he’s an adult, it’s been reduced to a dull ache, like background noise in his life. It helps that he’s grown to love his life with the Pearl Clan- there’s many people he cares dearly about there as well, and he feels honored to have been chosen as a Warden despite his origins. He’s moved on.

Then a 15 year old girl falls from the sky one day, and he feels the old ache come back.

#submas #ingo #pokemon legends arceus #there'd probably be two endings to this- one where he goes back to the future with Akari #and another where he stays in Hisui #he's spent half his life there and he doesn't really know if anyone is still waiting for him to come back home #I'd imagine he still writes long letters to Elesa Emmet and Drayden though #they deserve some closure if nothing else #but also the mental image of teen Ingo getting mentored by Gaeric alongside Irida is so funny to me #I guess there could be an alternate version where it's Emmet who falls from the sky instead of the protag #twins separated for fourteen years reuniting....

i wonder when anyone is going to tell the league (in Battle Addict au) that straight jackets are actually pretty bad at keeping people actually restrained when they can think clearly hruoiehgboerhg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivuuJxX1hXg (when praciced, its even easier to get out of than shown here lol)) but this au is incredibly interesting! fascinating looking at how the public reacts to things in the extreme and how the people who they target suffer for it, and how much misinformation is spread. really got me curious how they sped their time and how this effects emmets mental state. it cant be easy with everyone acting like hes a monster. and while ingo doesn't get the majority of the attention- if must be so hard to see his brother suffering like this. and im sure he isn't spared so scorn as well. really really fascinating- and a verrrry clear reminder of what people used to think mental disorders were like and how people with them were treated.

Funny thing: that’s partially why there’s some minor edits to Emmet’s straitjacket. There’s a narrow bar that his arms have to slot through, as well as a set of belts tied to his upper arms to keep them from moving too far from resting position. Homeboy weaseled out of the first one after like two weeks and they said "ok do it again this time mf" and handed him the new one.

The league would probably put Emmet on "leave" (house arrest) if they saw him get out of another one/realize the strait wouldn't work. That is probably what's keeping him from breaking out more than the actual jacket is.

As for mental state,

The household is certainly seeing more absences and mental health days. The worst part about the diagnosis for Emmet is that everything he used to enjoy has lost its worth because any time he sits down to study, he's just proving he is crazy and battle obsessed. He forces himself out of his old habits but he doesn't have anything to fill the void so he's stuck in a perpetual state of being exhausted and disinterested. Ingo may or may not be subconsciously picking up these beliefs as well

Thank you for your ask! Took a while to respond cause of school, but I do hope to outline more about their lives and habits when I get free time. I gotta run though, so see you guys later ^^
