I’m still not sure what happened, but Thirsty, the first book in my friend Mia Hopkins’s Eastside Brewery trilogy, went out of print a couple of years ago. I kept trying to recommend it because it’s steamy and sexy and gritty and working class, and the characters get a happy ending even if one of them is a reformed gang member trying to stay out of prison.

Guess what — it’s back! And now I can recommend it again!

i love the goldenheart kiss in the film sm because like. its just because they love each other and Can kiss and its not any big dramatic moment which calls for a kiss but yk they get those quiet moments too!!!! where theyre just in a park and everythings fine and they just laugh together and kiss and thats all. i think its nice when queer couples just get to kiss for the hell of it instead of only in these dramatic life changing moments where a kiss is "needed" . m/f couples get those showing affection just because they can moments alllll the time which might be why this kiss is so personal to me <3 if this makes any sense at all

Gonna talk about finale choices for tav and Wyll here so spoilersssss

So like. Lackluster endings was not a joke LOL. To start, his act three scene of him PROPOSING is never mentioned again lmaooo. The only way you get mention of him having proposed is if you made him the grand Duke by force (and even then he spends more of the cutscene talking about fixing the city.

If you chose to stay behind with him as the blade of avernus, he ends up saying 2 lines about loving the tav before…. Asking to go to avernus. To kill mizora. Again no mention of marriage.

So like, obviously if you choose to save Karlach you go down to avernus but like. Wyll has two options as his finale. Either he goes to avernus or be the grand Duke (which again he doesn’t want). Now the only downside of the karlach ending is it overwrites any romances with the tav ): so you don’t get a cute scene of the two of them at the end. And if you choose for Wyll to go alone, your tav never gets a scene and it’s just the karlach Wyll scene. If you chose to go without Wyll, he doesn’t even say a word EVEN THOUGH AGAIN. YOURE ENGAGED!!!!!!

It’s kinda lackluster ): the best ending is obviously going together with Karlach but you don’t even get a romance mention with Wyll if you do that /:

Also. Wyll never mentions his dad even though he’s alive and mizora gets one quick line about her power fading before saying he wants to go to avernus for revenge

reading the princess bride and laughing at the fact that in humperdincks zoo of death, on the third level reserved for "poisoners" along with "spitting cobras" and "death bats", hes also included ..... jumping spiders.

just imagining this place filled with all these animals that could kill u with one bite and then.. theres a little jumping spider, looking up at u with its big ole eyes.

not to mention that the whole point of this zoo is that humperdinck can go n hunt these animals anytime he likes. this big guy needs to feel the thrill of the hunt and tells the albino keeper that he wants to hunt down a jumping spider today. amazing

Hi!!💖 Have you ever read Seasons of Blossom? I started it some months ago and now I'm literally obsessed, it's so good! It's sweet, yet tragic, and overall super enjoyable. The characters are very likable and it made me cry so much (both for joy and for sadness lol)

Seasons of Blossom is, hands down, one over my favorite webtoons and I absolutely recommend it go everyone! You are very correct in how it manages to be sweet AND tragic. I'm behind on Winter because, frankly, I'm not good with things I love ending, but I just know I'll binge and catch up soon!

Something I really love about this series is the way all of the characters are, in some way, connected, whether it's because their friend groups overlap or relatives or something drawing them in, so it's never truly goodbye when we move on to the next season. I have definitely cried a LOT. Summer is just.... lmao look just trying to talk about it has me tearing up. Summer is very personally relatable to me, in how thick and choking the summer humidity is, and how it held such a painful, tragic story. And I know some people have issues with Autumn but I personally have a soft spot for angry, wounded girls lol

I even started the kdrama and despite some of the changes they made to the story, I was really enjoying it! I just had tp stop because while it was well done how they tied in Spring and Summer, my heart couldn't take it and I needed to take a break and I just haven't steeled myself lol

(Fair warning, because I think it's important to let potential readers know, Summer heavily deals with loved ones still struggling to come to terms with the suicide of someone they loved. I think it's incredibly well done; it's empathetic and understanding, it doesn't downplay the grief or confusion, or what compelled someone to make that choice. It's just also such a heavy, oppressive topic. I lmao binged it and just sobbed through the night lol ;~;)

Anyway YES YES genuinely 10/10 for Seasons of Blossom from me. I love it SO much and recommend it to anyone and everyone! Each season tells their own story and I find the writing so good! Spring is set up to be a sweet, little cliche which would be fine, but the writing didn't give in to the cliches and I love how it turned out!
