Again i m seeing ppl connect sweet night and 4 o' clock with vmin After tae's live yesterday n i m also seeing some ppl being offended by it. I m getting scared that this is going to blow up. I m not against speculating but ppl should not be outright stating them as facts.

This has been happening for a while now and it will only get worse as Vmin becomes a bigger ship… All ships who become bigger will get more delulu and more into analysis. Honestly I am probably a bit to blame as I am writing analysis myself and thus spread the “vmin agenda”. I know for a fact people on twitter or other platforms that has even read my particular analysis or posts and then go on to speak about it as fact. It trickles down like that even if I try to be careful with what is speculation and what is fact, because that is not how everyone will relay it onwards. This is an example with me, but obviously I am just a tiny tiny part of this community, but you get the point that information or speculation spreads and then gets seen in a different way depending on how people talk about it. When it reaches the masses it becomes real, basically it’s the same way rumors spread.

It also happens whenever a fandom reacts to something “bigger” that might be seen in a shipping light. Doesn’t matter if it’s GCF or 4 o’clock or whatever, if there is a connection for a ship and fans hype it up in a possibly romantic way it will receive backlash. It will get worse the bigger the ship is, and Vmin is growing every time something new comes along.

For Taehyung’ s letter in BV, for him having Jimin be a part of 4 o’clock or the Christmas song, for them calling each other soulmates... All these things come from Vmin themselves, and honestly any shipper would be happy to get moments like that. But, when the majority of the fandom is anti shippers and a moment can be seen as romantic by shippers the reactions will get a lot of hate.

“Stop shipping them. Stop making it romantic. Appreciate their friendship“

People don’t like shippers making it romantic, especially not when a ship gets bigger and more people believe in it. It’s no longer innocent jokes, but becomes people labeling BTS without knowing. (though it always seem to be worse when it comes to gay ships than hetero ones, but that’s a whole other discussion.)

Either way, this is a problem that will likely become worse and happen more and more. I too struggle with if I actually should share and fuel these kinds of problems with my posts and analysis. But in the end I want to keep the discussion open. I don’t want to state facts if they aren’t and I hope that the people who read my blog will keep that in mind when they in turn speak about Vmin. Because if we can keep the Vmin speculations more contained to the community and not look too delusional to other ARMY that will in the end both benefit us Vminies and Vmin themselves. Not matter if a ship is real or not.

The only advice I can give is to make sure to not spread things that aren’t facts as facts and to be careful with pushing Vmin as real. I also think staying nice and not attacking other ships is good as we want to keep people feeling that Vmin shippers are less aggressive and don’t need to act defensive about Vmin’s bond.

I understand that you worry, and I do too… But in the end I don’t think we can do much but think about how we personally react and talk about Vmin, to set a good example. Thanks for the ask. <3
