ooooo, I read your story of god's helper, and I took a headcannon from hell that is my head, that ''Helper'' does have a degree of power, but different from Darling Like, when the characters pass the limit of patience, which from what I've seen is quite difficult, he would just shout "Enough" and everyone would stop, because unlike Darling which is basically a request that is not denied The helper give orders that cannot be denied, While the Darling's voice when asking is soft and gentle, the helper's when ordering is heavy and powerful.

OOO this is a amazing concept! This would honestly be a great idea. Reader should have some sort of power due to their connection with Darling, and them being a person who commands is a great fit!

I can see how Darling would be seen as someone who wouldn't demand and being merciful, while the reader

I love the idea soo here is a side story!

It's been a while since you have gotten isakaied in Genshin Impact with Darling, you have to admit that your were having a hard time taking Darling being a God part.

Even so things have been fun, going sight seeing with Darling, trying foods you always wanted to try, unlimited shopping.

However as time went on..you grew irritated, it's not because the world became dull or anything like that, it's just Darling's.. Acolytes. At first you were very excited seeing characters you adore, but even you can feel the hostility when their around you.

You did feel a bit hurt (you cried to Darling after your comfort characters glared at you) but soon enough you grew use to it. After all you did try to get along but sometimes it just doesn't work.

But that's not the problem. After they were more "fond" of you (aka them just not glaring at you) It somehow became a trend to ask you about Darling, you didn't mind at first because they just asked simple stuff, but then it turned from "What's Darling's favorite color?" to "What does Darling do on Monday morning of March"

Do they seriously expect you to remember EVERY Monday Darling did on March? Sometimes they don't even bother with small talk.

Oh. Just great you can see Childe and Zhongli in distance..how nice.

When Zhongli and Childe decide to come as a duo (to talk about Darling) they will talk to you for HOURS. It can go from 2 pm to 8 pm and they STILL are asking about Darling

"Hello, gentlemen" You say as you kiss your plans with Darling goodbye.

"Ah, what a delightful surprise." Zhongli says, your sure he's judging you, it's that look on his eyes you know?

"Ah! I wasn't expecting you to be here" Childe says, as if you don't come here every Tuesday.

You notice that no one calls you by your name nor a title. They don't call you comrade, traveler, moral, immortal, friend, etc. Maybe they just look down on you.

"Haha yeah I decided to go Third-Round Knockout, the food is good and-"

"Yes yes I must say the stories of their grace are quite astounding-" Zhongli interrupts as he takes a seat next to you.

"-Their grace has made a number of achievements in the world of Teyvat, hence why we would like to know more about their life back on the.. Earth I believe it's called?" Zhongli continued.

"Exactly, we wanted to ask you about Darling-" Childe says deciding to finally join the conversation. You decide to take a sip of tea, he then continued

"We wanted to know about Darling's life on Earth."

You paused, the cup still on your hand, to them it probably seemed like you were frozen in place.

Oh. Darling's life on Earth was not a good one. . In fact many can call it terrible, you still have bad memories about it. You witnessed how bad Darling's life was, you were there during the pain and sadness.

You still remember how happy Darling was to escape their life at Earth and start a new life on Teyvat. Not only do they have a fresh start, they also had you by their side.

Childe gave you a light shake on your shoulder, seems like you were a little too silent. You blinked a couple of times and placed down the cup of tea.

"My apologies but I won't be able to tell you about Darling's life on Earth, It's a very personal matter. I suggest you talk to them about giving me permission or you can talk to them about it yourselves." You say as you hoped they won't take it too badly.

You were then met with a very akward silence, welp looks like you can say goodbye to your tiny friendship with them, seeing how you can feel the galres from both men.

"As their Grace's acolytes shouldn't we have the right to know what their life is like on that world?" Childe says trying to persuade you, sounding more passive aggressive if anything.

"Ahem-" you wanted to counter however Zhongli decides to interupt you.

"I have to agree with Childe about this. You won't need to worry about the information getting leaked." He says, your patience is started to run thin.

"I would also add, if you prefer to keep this between immortals, we may go to somewhere without so many eyes and ears." Zhongli added, earning a glare from Childe.

"Look, I'm sure that you guys are trust worthy, however this isn't about worth it's more about Darling's privacy if anything." You say more harsher than you expected.

"Oh? And whose to say your worthy of knowing more information because you lived on the same world as Their Grace?" Childe says, perhaps trying to start a fight.

You sigh, you were really not in the mood for this madness.

"Look I apologi-" before you could continue, Zhongli decides to interupt you yet again.

"I must say, if this isn't about worthiness then how come you are calling Their Grace in such an informal way? More than once infact. Are you perhaps indicating that you deserve a better understanding of The Mighty One?"

Shit. You forgot that calling Darling by their name was seen as disrespectful. And yet they only decide to bring it up after you wouldn't say anything.

Just why can't they understand Darling needs some sort of privacy.

Your gripping your cup trying to not make irrational decisions. However your patience has lessened by each word that comes out of their mouth.

They took your silence as a way of victory.

"Now, would you please share your knowledge about Their Grace-"

"Enough."

Oh. The cup of tea broke, some shards of the cup is on your hand.

Zhongli and Childe were suddenly sitting up straight, not only that they seem to be frozen in place. You can tell time didn't freeze, however they were not the type to care for your words..

Just what is happening..?

An ancient ruin, it is known to be one of the great temples of the great one. That same ruin has been blessed by Celestia.

A rock drawing of The Mighty One can be seen, It appears Their Grace in their full power. There is a certain someone who is right next to them. A text can be read right underneath this depiction.

"Their Grace is merciful. For they will never demand but request. A gentle God who would never force their own creation submit to them.

Hence forth the creation of (Name). A deity who will demand for Mighty one's place to forever keep their gentleness. Their command is not to be broken. For they are created to control and balance this world

Title: Run to You Pairing: Matt Jackson x Reader Prompt: 1. Hesitant kisses, but when they part one whispers "Do it again. Please." R WC: 1112

Y/n sighed as she once again reminded herself that Matt didn't want her. It was harder and harder to resist Matt's charm, especially whenever she watched him with the younger wrestlers. Y/n had been a "local talent" for WWE, and it was nothing like being one for AEW. Sure, at the end of the day, they were still jobbers, but AEW gave the locals a chance to shine. They had time to work one-on-one with Nick, Matt, Kenny, and whoever else was willing to spare a few moments of their day. Y/n could see as the young tag team that the Bucks would be facing later in the night soaked in every word that it meant the world to those guys. Y/n knew what it could be like to work with your heroes, and luckily, Matt and Nick were the kind of guys that made sure it was a good experience for everyone involved.

"Alright, you guys get some rest. Nick and I will be here if you need anything!" Matt called out as he started walking towards Y/n. Almost immediately he began to tense up a little and become more serious. Y/n didn't blame him, her new position within the company placed her ahead of him on the chain of command. Everybody got a little nervous whenever they noticed Y/n watching them with her clipboard in hand. "Uh oh, what's changing on the show tonight?"

"Nothing is changing on tonight's show to my knowledge, although I did talk Tony out of a few matches for the next Pay Per View, so you're welcome. I just wanted to know if maybe one of the Young Bucks had some time to spare in a few months," Y/n said. Matt glanced down at Y/n with a puzzled look on his face. She had hoped that he would have understood what she needed to ask him without making her actually say it. Y/n was terrified that the moment she actually asked for a partner, her test results would come back and show that she couldn't actually go into the match. "I need a partner for my retirement match."

"Retirement match?" Slowly, it dawned on Matt that Y/n would be getting back in the ring. She had gotten hurt more times than anybody Matt knew, but she had still pushed through. Her body was screaming at her to just call it quits, but Y/n wanted this last match more than anybody. Matt knew that, and that was why Matt fully understood what an honor it was for him to be the one who Y/n asked first to be her partner. "Absolutely, just tell me where to be and when."

"Thank you." Y/n didn't bother being professional as she threw herself into Matt's arms. Matt wrapped his arms around Y/n's body and breathed in her scent. His heart ached with the notion that he had missed his time to be with her. Still, he pushed the pain away because being there for Y/n was much more important to Matt. He knew how devastated Y/n was about cutting her career so short, and if she really was leaving the business completely at the end of the year, Matt wanted to give her a good send-off.

"When you asked for a partner, I thought we'd be tagging together," Matt chuckled as he fixed his gear. After some very tearful talks, Y/n had agreed to let Kenny and Nick go out with him. The wrestlers that Y/n had gotten closest to in her career hadn't been able to make it, but Y/n was still happy with her escorts to the ring. Allysin Kay and Allie had been Y/n's backbone whenever she was a knockout. Impact hadn't been the best to her, but they had still been more fair than WWE. They had allowed her to have a bit more say in how her character acted.

"This is much more fun Matty," Y/n teased. Matt rolled his eyes as his music hit. The crowd sang along and went absolutely wild for him and the rest of The Elite. They had gone the route of announcing Matt for the match with a mystery opponent for a "loser leaves pro wrestling" match. Y/n thought it was the perfect way to go out, especially since the matches that Y/n was most proud of had been either alongside or against Matt Jackson. Once the crowd had died down, Y/n's original entrance song of Loser by Beck started to play. There was a bit of cheering, but it was mostly confused silence until Y/n walked out with her friends.

Sentimental words were saved for the end of the match, after the blood and carnage had already happened. Matt was terrified throughout the match that Y/n pushing herself too hard, but he kept those thoughts to himself. By the end of it when Matt got the pin, Y/n looked like a broken and bloody mess. Matt sheltered Y/n's body for a few seconds than necessary, and when he started to pull back, Y/n kept her arms wrapped around the back of his neck. She leaned her forehead against him, neither of them caring that Y/n was still bleeding from a cut on her temple. Neither one of them was sure who moved first, but a tentative peck of a kiss was shared between the two of them. The next little kiss was more than that, and Y/n was the one to go for it that time.

"Do it again. Please," Matt muttered as Y/n started to pull back. She moved off of his lap and offered him a hand. She held his arm up in the air as the crowd cheered for his victory. Matt looked down at her with a sad look on his face as wrestlers poured in from backstage. Y/n couldn't stop smiling as she looked at the outpouring of love and support. It emboldened her to go for another kiss. This time, Matt was ready for it. He cradled her face and kissed her passionately. Matt was intent on keeping the kiss going until Nick and Kenny separated the two of them. Words of love and respect for Y/n before the night was over. When it was all said and done, Y/n cleaned herself up and found herself back at AEW the next week back in her suit with her clipboard. She didn't want to give everything up just because she couldn't be in the ring anymore.

Alex León is a well know name in the independent wrestling scene, having earned the nickname The Prophecy of Professional Wrestling. Alex and Seth have been married for three years but never confirmed their relationship with the public so when Baron Corbin started bad mouthing his wife Seth couldn’t hold back, Alex watching from afar realised the true intentions of ‘the sassy southern belle’ and finally found her place in the WWE.

January 6th 2019 -

Nashville Tennessee

“Thank you Alex! Thank you Alex! Thank you Alex!” Alex León is making her final walk around the ringside applauding, having just dropped the title to Taya Valkyrie in a gruelling match at Impact Wrestling Homecoming.

“An emotional Alex León making her final rounds here at Impact. This women is the definition of what it means to be an Impact Knockouts Champion, she has followed through with her promise and cemented her legacy in this company but she had a Prophecy to for fill somewhere else and we wish her the best of luck!” the commentary team announce.

Many rumours have spread about Alexandria not renewing her contract, having been in the company since 2013 she felt the need for a change.

With tears welling in her eyes, taking one final bow the programme closes with the last walk for Alex León backstage.

Alexandria after taking her leave from Impact has been sending sometime at home, the days have been lonely without her husband and no wrestling as a distraction so like many people social media had taken up the majority of her time.

Pointlessly scrolling through twitter an article catches her attention:

week of Stomping grounds

Stepping out of the car, Alex looks up to meet the deep brown eyes of her husband. A warm hand wraps it’s self around her waist pulling her into a loving embrace.

“Mrs Lopez i have missed you so much.” is the phrase that Alexandria feels rumble in her husbands chest, her bottom lip quivers knowing this reunion is months in the making.

“I can’t do this anymore, the distance i mean. I can’t keep waking up alone in bed. Practically me not working is a problem and i love my job i really do but i can’t keep being so far away from you, i just can’t do it. I need you” Alex let’s out a chocked sob as she repeats the words she had been dwelling on for the duration on the drive.

Instinctively Colby glanced down, his eyes drowning in sympathy, he knows the feeling. Lifting his hand to wipe away a stray tear.

“Stay here then baby, stay with me. I need you too, more then i could ever express in words. Stay here and we can make sure your work is valued for the talent you showcase, i’ll make sure nothing goes wrong” Colby pleads knowing they had to have this conversation, if Lexi retires then the idea would be completely out of the window…

Lacey evans stood face to face with a very frustrated Seth Rollins, she had been changing and bending rules in Corbin’s favour and it was obvious it was getting to him. Suddenly Rollins’ face is flying left, she had slapped him!

“omg.. and here’s Baron Corbin trying to take advantage!” Spinning Seth around Baron tried to capitalise on the distraction only to meet a blow to his jaw leaving his slumped on the ropes for support.

“OH! A LOW BLOW BY THE OFFICIAL!”

The beginning beats of ‘Prophecy by Queensryche’ hits the arenas speakers, the crowd arrupts with cheers as a familiar red head charges down the ramp.

“IS IT? IT IS, COREY ITS ALEX LÈON THE FORMER IMAPCT KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION! SHES HERE IN THE WWE!”

“Why is Alex Lèon here? she isn’t part of this match?” Corey announces beside a very happy Renee Young and Micheal Cole.

Sliding into the ring Alex pounces on Lacey Evans throwing combinations of punches and slaps to the blonde.

“ALEX LÈON IS ASSAULTING EVANS, ALEX LÈON IS TAKING OUT THE OFFICIAL! ITS NO DISQUALIFICATION, ALEX CAN DO WHATEVER THE HELL SHE WANTS TO DO!”

Alex and Lacey take the brawl outside of the ring, the sassy southern belle is sprawled out on the floor after being in the receiving end of a ‘final chapter’ (an exploder suplex) when officials and security try to tear Lèon from Evans.

Whilst in the firm grip of many security men, Alexandria looks though the ropes to see her husband of three years reverse an ‘end of days’ to hit a stomp.

The wife joins her husband in the ring, raising his arm in victory. Seth couldn’t wait any longer, wrapping his arms around her waist he lifts his spouse into the air placing a delicate kiss on her lips. Whispers can be seen being shared between the couple as the crowd explodes with cheers.

“Sweetheart, i told you i got you’re back.”

CONTENT WARNINGS:

TIE IN THE MAIN BRACKET -> Treated as a double loss, aka both go to the Losers' Bracket in a three way match. Of the two that tied, the highest scorer goes back to the main bracket. The lowest scorer of all three gets knocked out.

TIE IN THE LOSERS BRACKET -> Treated as a double win, aka both go to the next round of the Losers' Bracket in a three way match. The highest scorer moves forward, and the other two get knocked out.

deeply wish I were the kind of person who could make gifs immediately after an ep but I am not. I’m a “sitting in my chair and staring blankly at the end titles for eight full minutes” person. an “unable to get up from low-level shock” person. is this what television does to people? can’t honestly recommend it. if anyone had bothered to warn me (possibly via time travel) that this show--which I began with the decently-informed belief of being casual evening viewing à la mfmm or foyle’s war--would turn out to impact me like this, I would have put the mouse down and walked away. I would have logged out of my mother’s prime account and watched a movie instead. 903 is gonna put me on the ground harder than anything has since "the c, the c, the open c”; not only in basic terms of story & tragic payoff, but also investment. at this point I’m 54 hours deep (three times over) across an already-unlikely six months of sustained engagement. russell lewis is no dave kajganich & soo hugh, but he’s had the privileged opportunity to uninterruptedly develop a consistent vision from first episode to last. the talent bench isn’t quite as deep as the terror, but roger allam and shaun evans can dance toe-to-toe with jared harris and tobias menzies for subtlety, emotion, skill, and consistent knockout delivery. everyone is putting in the work. no part of the production phones it in. (and it’s been ten years!) rare enough for a television show to get the chance to go out complete and on its own terms; how often does it also reach its apex in the final leg? make its penultimate episode land firmly in the overall top three, and its finale on track to take the prime spot? go out with a strength that will retroactively characterize the entire thing and elevate the gestalt to something much greater and more lasting than its individual pieces?

Men's World Title: Shelley is more insecure than ever!!!!!!!

Knockouts World Title: Mickie had to relinquish the title due to injury. Her and Trin are friends from WWE, and they are excited to be opponents for the first time

Endwalker Story: Meeting Venat...

First Elpis Replay post, Previous to this part 2.

Leaving the transporter, Nemi asked what the hell was the bizarre Shark man in the distance. She probably had felled one of this before but to see someone deliberately created that was... icky. She heard Hyth start to rant about receiving more fads of this concept with no real thought for practicality of sense of an about to be living thing, when she tried to shake her arms and make him move away from the beast plunging at him, and then... A woman in white and a sword that, singed with familiar energy knocked out the Sharknado. Nemi knew who this is, but seeing her just swoop in like that...

"Oh wow... she's strong," escaped her mouth. "Heh, excus me?" ("Shit, I said that out loud," was regretted in her mind.)

That her first word was to bully Emet and expose him as a young piece of shit? And he wasn't retorting. Incredible. She must be a knockout at bars and parties but ah... what is she doing thinking this of the one fated to become something as distant and irrelevant as Hydaelyn? They were so, different.

"She sounds fun- AH SHE IS LOOKING AT ME"

She should have known Venat would recognize her own magic in the Blessing of Light. There was no point in denying it, much as she smiled courteously and swallowed. At least the fact Venat's acceptance of uncertainty meant that, she was taking this well. Others would likely freak out and attack her or something like that.

When Hades scolded her for keeping secrets of the fate of the star, she just crossed her arms and explained she couldn't have an impact, stipulating it was one of their own who said this before sending her here. Venat enthusiastically remarked they were "meant to meet" then, and she was looking forward to knowing more the person bearing her "mark." Nemi might have exploded.

She recovered quickly and helped her search for the lost concept, commenting "You sound like you prank people like that often." How exactly? Venat wondered and Nemi pointed to the idea of her, marking someone. Like what did that mean in this context? Venat explained it's really to find lives again in the great expanse of the world, be a small bee she gave water to or a traveler from another biome. She'd even begun fashioning a way to try to find this traveler magick for other people to use to find each other, but others were vexed by its complexity. This made Nemi surprised later, at the dinner in Venat's chambers, that botomless bags seemingly were not invented yet.

With the time come to tell everything... she concluded she might as well come clear and take the sash off her eyes, but keeps her hair tucked underneath. Venat was awed by her eye tattoo, warmed by its family inheritance meaning that Nemi shared with a smile. There wasn't such a sense of family permeance in Amaurot, and carrying something form your origin through your life was such a beautiful way to live the nature that made you. making her smile and say it's passed down and mixed in her clan of family.

Hythlo kindly intervened they needed to get talking, pointing to Emet sitting grumpily. He saw Thanatos' lesbianism bleed way worse from Nemi. And though he didn't want to believe what she would tell, it'd at least mean he didn't have to fear his colleague secretly hated him.

Nemi joined her hands and gave a heavy sigh. Her face was now stern with a heavy frown. "Well, form the beginning? be warned, you won't like what you hear... or maybe not, from what I've gathered here."

After she's done speaking, she just sits back with irreverent air, but does lean when Venat is vexed by Hydaelyn's decision to cause the sundering. That she finds odd opposing the 14th.. is she happy with society as it is then?

As they try to figure, Nemi just looks away, feeling mixed about pushing them to guess to themselves, wanting to argue with Venat that it's been millenia and people change over time drastically. "You don't have to fit yourself to this mold of the future. You are you right now." But Venat stresses she knows herself. It's just an exercise to find answers and logic to help the future.

Then Hades' interjection made her jaw drop and need to cover her face. Never would she think she'd feel second hand embarrassment for this guy. If only the Scions could hear this...

"Hmm, you do sound like the asshole I killed, I gotta say." "Neirmer! You said yourself we're not like the after!" "Sorry, I'm not gonna lie about what I did. You will come to threaten all I hold dear as well, and such fate can't be changed." "Even if your ridiculous story was true, I would not hurt you just for having an insufferable mouth! I'm a civilized man!" "True... it's just hard when you're not that different in personality of disrespect, you know? But let's move on." "..."

When saying she feels Hermes and Meteion seem center of the mystery, she expresses their grievances feel natural to any person of the future. She tries to ask who started the philosophy of "the will of the star" and if there were other rituals to deal with the grief of elected passing, and everyone looked lost for an answer. Nemi incquired if anyone ever passed away to disease or accidents, and they said even murders are inconceivable. Then Nemi wondered if they're truly so good warders of the stars if they can't understand the creatures who are mortal, specially the ones they create. Only Venat could respond that, she came to love them in their travels, and didn't neglect one detail to ensure her concepts' happiness... but she stopped creating after Argos. She didn't find the vastness of the world lacking of more life. At this, Nemi smiled and said they should search clues together.

They were surprised by how well they flowed with inquiries. Nemi got to make people open with casuality of their interests, letting Venat get to the heart of the matter in an unsuspecting way. Nemi wondered if Venat's travels made it so, since not everywhere can be like Amaurot's cushy walls. Venat said there are many people outside of these walls of all kinds, even some who don't like the Ancients, but people in the city rarely do acknowledge they exist unless they're to be saved of natural phenomena. Nemi recalled the volcano situation with Thanatos... but didn't ask about it.

Nemi drops the fact Meteion has more sisters casually, making Venat wishes she mentioned it earlier. Nemi apologized for this flaw, too used to filling reports that filled everyone up to speed. Venat squinted at her and she admitted it was more regular than that. Venat laughed and patted her back, saying she's so earnestly sincere and honest then. Nemi blushed as they walked closer to their next inquiry.

When the archivist lament Venat hasn't returned, Nemi is shocked. She almost yelled at them if not for Venat side hugging her and replying too briefly. way from them, Nemi asks baffled if everyone says they look forward to watching you her die, why do they think death is rest when they know it erases their self, not even taking breaks in their lives! No one sounds like they take a break in their actual lives! "This, this is bonkers! And I can tell you're not happy with it either. Don't throw that honor bullshit at me as well."

Venat looked at her transfixed, then admitted she, wished that people understood her choices. That walking with her makes her wonder if a future of mortals would think differently... Then asks her, how beautiful is the future?

Nemi says the future is more beautiful, that everything is free to take its own shape and form. There are always new discoveries, and... There are customs and beliefs, shaped by the nature one lives in, and traditions and beautiful art that would not flourish in this past.

When Venat asks of her adventures... she would tell her of the avdenturer guilds, of finding the crystals, of the floating city of Nymnh, of the many minerals that fortified her craft, of her village's ways of survival, of the rivers of Doma... every person she weeped for in her imprisonment in the lightwarden, the joy of Ala Mhigo' back's flag flying, the Winds of the Churning Mists, seeing the Night bloom in the First, what she has treasured with the scions and her friends.

When Venat responds with her speech about life, Nemi is totally awed, intertwining her own fingers and taking them to her heart. She asks why she talks of needing to help humans stand.To her, it just sounds like she just wants to behold life's beauty.

"That is alright... you have done a lot already." "What is it with you and this talk of winding down?" "Well, I heard you all don't know how to play but, you don't seem that lame. Surely this is a rest for you too inbetween?" "Hmm, maybe I'm as shaped by this rhythm of life you find so monotone." Venat took Nemi's wringing fingers and interlocked them with her own. "Maybe, you could stop me." Nemi gasped with heated cheeks. "B-because others don't appreciate the world how we do?" Venat smiled and lowered their hands. "Because you may hold answers I seek... tell me, has your journey been good has it been worthwhile?

Venat's question makes tears spring, but she rasps her breath and nods determinedly. , or well was going to. she is irritated by the interruption, wanting to talk to Venat more and her passion, and a measure of concern. But this moves her to think of the next possibility, and that is when she excitedly points at Argos. She is amazed by how much gruffier he is now, then fucking, questions why in the goddamn is the dog picky about fighting skills.

Nemi is intimidated by Venat's sagacious air, but she takes courage and takes her hair cover off. "If this is what it is, then I won't censure myself any further. You'll see my kicks fully!"

After Nemi endured Venat's last blast to one knee, Venat held her up and checked over her robes. Nemi gestures her to stop fretting even as she struggles to stand, giggling in her hold. "You should know... my real name is Nemi, Nemi Norxares. That's who endured your ravaging today." She smiled so wide that Venat's face burned up.

This only didn't continue cause Argos jumped on them, making them go witness the flight of the Meteia through the echo. Nemi would connect the tree nearby to the forms of those at Ghyr Abania,but colors of Lakeland. Venat wondered if she could gaze them through her mind, if she allowed of course... Nemi batted the hand caressing her hair away playfully, saying they really need to focus.

When they walked back to the others, Hythlo perked at seeing Nemi's face fully uncovered, and for what reason this time? When Venat teased Nemi to be civil, Hythlo grinned at Nemi knowingly. She could not hide, specially when Venat grabbed her hand strongly after she returned from the morbol gardens.

At the garden, she claimed to Hermes that she felt more safe to unveil in this world, now that she met someone like Venat. Hermes is puzzled, and Nemi explains she sees nature more freely than she thought. Something told her to, ask Hermes if it's alright, and give Meteion a hug and carry her on her shoulders. Hermes had to scold her the morbols were still around.

Nemi looks downtrodden when Hermes says "even you Venat." Guess she overstimated her a little or, assumed too much of her lives experiences, but it's not what she wanted to imply. Nemi stressed that "Despite everyone's lack of tact,"she really thought there was more to this they had to find out, for the sake of everyone's safety. This relaxed Hermes while Emet glared, continuing to formulate why the blasphemies were formed as they were.

Emet gruffed that she has capacity of better behavior and, well.I think there is no more to say lol.

Then when Meteion was invaded by the doom of necrospace, Nemi tried to reach her to calm her even as she too was twisting in pain and agony on the floor. She teared up when Meteion begged to be left alone, screaming into the nothingness to please not bottle up her hurt. She needed both Venat and Hermes to get her up and settle, struggling to explain what even just happened. Whatever it really was, they needed to find her fast. Who knows how a small mind like hers would decide to, make it stop.

Nemi tried but failed to counter Emet's insistence to take Meteion into the city, knowing stopping this would just be denial of what inmerse hurt had just occured. Hermes thanked her kindness, lamenting this society would not listern to her either. And so, he had to take flight to the top of Ktisis Hyperboeia. Though she fought to the top, she was the first to approach Hermes and beg to let her be present, at least to find a way. Hermes smiles sincerely at her before trapping them all in chains, putting her too distant to pass Meteion's last words before losing herself: "Please, protect all..."

When chaos unfolded at the escape, Nemi concentrated and broke her chains with her claws, hissing with her tongue and scaring Hermes off into losing concentration. She argued her presence meant to be the steps of humans of a different kind, who deserved to know the physical step to what their kind struggled with emotion. She recited Matsya's prayer, and showed her claws and tongue as evidence of the torture she'd endured for survival, and coming out of the other side with friends and love. Hermes looked up at Nemi's tearful gaze, and weeped as the Death of his kind acknowledged his suffering. He peacefully let her and Venat go, begging her to give Meteion a kinder fate.

Once they descended, Nemi asked Venat if she's okay. She asked if Nemi was okay, with all the twisting and corrupting she claimed to go through. Nemi sighed and shook her head, saying that was just for Hermes to hear really. Venat gasped and asked if she didn't trust her. that she too was horrified at the idea this world might be the last to love life. Nemi said it was not about that, but how she seemed to not be concerned to limit Emet and Hythlodaeus' pushing. She said they were just doing their duty as convocation members, and Nemi waved her hand exasperatedly.

"Exactly that! In your travels you've never learned how to treat people who are unwell? Maybe if I didn't show up, this calamity would have started way worse....."

Venat took a deep breath, and said they had to check on the others. Nemi sighed and followed, weirded but not opposed to Argos' mode of espionage. Nemi scoffed offended being called a manner of creation by someone else. "it's not my fault I got transmogrified!"

Venat begged her again to tell her what exactly happened to her, and Nemi questions her interest. Did she look at her like another bizarre creature like everyone else here? Was that why she was coming off so strongly on her? Venat stepped back like slapped,

"In that case, what do you think of Meteion? Do you think we have to simply stop her, or save her from the cacophony neither she nor the world that created her could bear?"

What is Venat's Answer?

Many rumours have spread about Alexandria not renewing her contract, having been in the company since 2013 she felt the need for a change.

With tears welling in her eyes, taking one final bow the programme closes with the last walk for Alex León backstage.

It’s almost time for the 2022 World Cup. To help get you ready, we will be providing you with precious information about every team in the tournament. You can read all of our World Cup previews here. Argentina enters the 2022 World Cup in incredible form: the team has not lost in three years, and it won the most recent major international tournament that it competed for, last summer’s Copa America. This is a well-drilled team, with steady if unspectacular performers at every level of the field. It comes into the World Cup without too many impactful injuries, as well; its biggest loss might be Paulo Dybala, the Roma do-it-all forward who injured his quadriceps in October, but who has never quite fit in the national team’s plans. (He might be healthy in time for the World Cup, but that’s perhaps wishful thinking.) Oh, and Argentina has Lionel Messi. That counts for something. Messi is the storyline, the alpha and the omega of not just Argentina’s journey, but the 2022 World Cup as a whole. After shaking off the major international trophy burden by winning the Copa, as the best player in that tournament, Messi comes into Qatar with one last mission in mind: winning the World Cup. It’s something that has eluded him in four previous tries, but he’s never had a team like this around him. A big part of Argentina’s recent success comes from manager Lionel Scaloni, who took over for Jorge Sampaoli after the 2018 World Cup. Scaloni has not tried to reinvent the wheel, and instead has implemented a system that is sturdy from top to bottom, while allowing Messi and his fellow attackers the freedom to bring the game to opponents. To be sure, Scaloni has lucked out with the development of some younger players, but this is just smart international management. He knows his teams strengths and weaknesses, and he has created a gameplan that plays to the former while minimizing the latter. All of this has combined to make Argentina one of the favorites in Qatar. On paper, Brazil and France, and maybe even England, are better teams, but none are as well-coached or well-suited for international success as the albiceleste. That might not translate directly into glory, but if its roster of workmanlike defenders and midfielders can hold off opponents as well as they have been for three years, then Messi will have the freedom to dominate games in the final third. As he has shown over his long career, this is all he needs to be his best, and with the extra motivation of the World Cup in play, it’s possible that this month in Qatar will be his final, crowning achievement as the best player soccer has ever seen. He, and Argentina as a whole, has never had a better opportunity to win it all.

Who Is Their Main Guy?

It’s Messi. Of course it is. He’s perhaps the Main Guy in the entire World Cup, one that he has said will likely be his final appearance at the world’s biggest tournament. There’s a narrative that claims Messi hasn’t done it at the World Cup, whatever that means, but in two of his three appearances as the undisputed star of Argentina, he has done what the team needed, until the team needed just too much from him. (The less said about Argentina’s debacle at the 2010 World Cup, the better.) In 2014, he and Javier Mascherano carried a messy and injured Argentina side to within misses from Gonzalo Higuaín and Rodrigo Palacio of a World Cup title. He won the Golden Ball award for the best player in the tournament, and scored four of Argentina’s eight goals en route to the final. In 2018, a similarly chaotic Argentina side didn’t have a real shot at the trophy, and in fact looked like it would be knocked out in the group stage after a draw against Iceland—Messi missed a penalty kick—and a demolition at the hands of Croatia. With Nigeria blocking its way to the knockout rounds, Messi got to work with one of the best ball controls and scores you will ever see: Though Nigeria tied it up in the 51st minute, Argentina scooped up the win off a Marcos Rojo winner in the 86th. Its reward was a 4-3 loss in the round of 16 to eventual champions France, in what was the best match of that tournament. Now, Messi is back, at the age of 35 and no longer a Barcelona player. Instead, he has shaken off a slow start at Paris Saint-Germain and become Lionel Messi once again. Alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, Messi forms the creative focal point of the world’s best attacking trio. He’s not as fast as he was, and he definitely does no work on defense at his old age, but he’s still capable of doing things on the soccer field that defy explanation. For Argentina, he will have to do just a bit more, particularly as he plays centrally and in more of a concrete playmaker role. Luckily for both the team and the country, Messi has not lost a step there, and should have enough runners and shooters in front and around him to elevate Argentina from a one-man team and into a well-oiled machine. Whether that’s enough to win the World Cup that has eluded him since he debuted in the 2006 edition of the tournament will remain to be seen, but for once, Messi is only the main guy and not the only point around which an entire team rotates.

Who Is Their Main Non-Scoring Guy?

Part of the reason that Messi won’t have to do it all is that this Argentina defense is finally, thankfully, a strength. The biggest X-factor for the backline also has the potential to be the most important player on the team. Tottenham Hotspur center back Cristian “Cuti” Romero is just 24 years old, but he’s already solidified himself as one of the best young center backs in the world. Perhaps more importantly, he is Argentina’s best option to shut down opposing strikers, such as Mexico’s Raúl Jiménez and Poland’s Robert Lewandowski, both opponents in the group stage. Romero is a modern center back, comfortable both with the ball at his feet and when defending one-on-ones. He steps up into challenges a lot (a lot), which can leave him out of position when he misses. However, Romero has pace to boot to catch up if he does make a mistake. He’s not the biggest center back in the field—only 6-foot-1—but he plays bigger than that, particularly when it comes to muscling opposing attackers off the ball. If Romero plays as he has at his best for Tottenham, Argentina will be able to continue its impressive defensive showing of recent years under Scaloni.

Where’s The Beef?

Which teams or players does Argentina not like? Do Argentina’s players like each other? We investigate the Argentina’s potential enemies. There’s a shout here for Lionel Messi’s philosophical battle against the ghost of Diego Maradona’s 1986 World Cup. He’s been battling that specter his whole career, after all. That’s more of a beef subplot, though, because the luck of the draw has gifted this tournament with the potential for an all-timer of a semifinal. If things shake out as expected, Argentina will have to go through its hatred rivals of Brazil in the semifinal round of the World Cup. The history of the Argentina-Brazil rivalry is vast, too vast to summarize in a few paragraphs. The two best countries in South American soccer, the neighbors—they share a 761-mile border at Argentina’s north end—have played 109 times in its history, in a pretty even rivalry: 43 wins for Brazil, 40 for Argentina, and 26 draws. However, Brazil has five World Cups to Argentina’s two, something that chafes fans of the albiceleste on a seemingly daily basis. Matches between these two giants are appointment viewing, and often happen at moments with the highest stakes. The last competitive meeting between the two was at the 2021 Copa America final, a match that saw Argentina finally win its first international trophy since the 1993 edition of the tournament, and a match that gave Lionel Messi his first major senior title with Argentina. (He had won the 2008 Summer Olympics with the side, but the “major” tag is really reserved for the Copa and the World Cup). If both teams win their respective groups—something that is more than likely—they would be on a collision course for the semifinal in Lusail on December 13. The closest that these two sides have gotten to playing that deep in the tournament was in 2014, when Argentina made the final and Brazil lost 7-1 to Germany in that infamous semifinal. There’s a possibility that either team gets upset before we get this clash of titans for a spot in the World Cup final, but both countries will feel heavily favored in all of their matchups before then. For the sake of peace in the region and in the stands, that might be the best outcome. For those who want an intense, emotionally charged showdown between the two best teams in the tournament, though, the prospect of an Argentina-Brazil semifinal is one of the best parts of this upcoming World Cup.

Who is the Argentina’s best candidate for a breakout performance that earns them a career-changing transfer? Might this potential post-tournament transfer go well, like when Colombia’s James Rodríguez went to Real Madrid after starring in the 2014 World Cup? Or could it go poorly, like when Colombia’s David Ospina went to Arsenal after starring in the 2014 World Cup? Enzo Fernández is the type of midfielder that Argentina is not really known for. Despite playing as a defensive midfielder for Benfica, he is not of the rugged ballhawk archetype that Argentina has produced so often (think Javier Mascherano for that type of player). Similarly, he is not a classic playmaker, the Argentine No. 10 that has a glorious history in the country (Messi, Maradona, Pablo Aimar, Juan Roman Riquelme, the list goes on). Instead, Fernández is more of a Spanish-style midfielder, incredible with the ball at his feet and runners around him. This doesn’t mean Fernández can’t play in a more defensive role for Argentina. His ball awareness and interceptions make up for his lack of physical defensive tools, and while he’s not the best tackler, he’s not scared to get in there to bust up attacks. His value will come mostly from his progressive passing from deep in the midfield, though, as well as his long-range shooting. These skills have made him one of Benfica’s most exciting prospects, and at just 21 years of age, Fernández could be one great World Cup away from a big-money move to one of the big five leagues. He’s not a player to fit into any midfield opening, but if a team needs possession and creativity for the middle of the park, Fernández is worth the risk that comes with his age and inexperience. It’s unlikely that those skills won’t translate to other leagues, but it’s also not a sure thing that he will dominate games as he has for Benfica this season, or for River Plate back in Argentina. For that reason, his score is somewhere between Ospina and Rodríguez mode, yet his potential makes him a candidate to be the next great Argentinian plying his trade at a huge club. Fun Geographical Fact

Perhaps due to its close proximity to the much-larger Brazil, it was surprising to learn that Argentina is actually the eighth largest country in the world by land mass. Is that fun? I don’t know, but I didn’t know it, so there you go. The country also has the tallest mountain in the Americas, the Southern Hemisphere, and the world, if only you wipe out Asia for that last part. Aconcagua measures a whopping 22, 838 feet at its peak, and it has the highest death rate of any mountain in South America (around three people die per year trying to climb it).

Good Flag Or Bad Flag?

This is one of the best flags in the entire world. The blue is a pleasing hue, the sun is perfect, I really have nothing bad to say about Argentina’s masterpiece of a flag.

Good Anthem Or Bad Anthem?

Oh, hell yeah. This sounds like an opera I would not fall asleep during—sorry to that one time I went to see La bohème—and the lyrics are all about breaking off the shackles of imperialism. No one does national anthems like my South American brethren. I guess that’s the reward for centuries of empire-aided turmoil.

Notable Moment In World Cup History

Argentina has won two World Cups, lost two other finals, and generally has had its share of ups and downs throughout the many years of the tournament. Still, though, there were only two real choices for this section, and both came in the same game, a quarterfinal at the 1986 World Cup. It’s Diego Maradona time, because who else could it be? It’s hard to pick between Maradona’s two goals that trumped England’s one en route to the semifinal, and eventually the trophy. The Hand of God goal is the more controversial of the two, and perhaps the more iconic one: In the 51st minute of that match, Maradona released a give-and-go ball that flopped into the air, where the tiny—he was 5-foot-5 at best—demigod found it with nobody around him. He leaped into the air and, uh, definitely headed the ball in. Definitely didn’t use his hand, no, sir. With the score opened in such a vexing manner, Maradona got to work again. Just four minutes later, he picked the ball up in his own half and proceeded to create not just his best moment as a player, but perhaps the greatest individual goal of all time. At the very least, it is known as the Goal of the Century, and given the stakes, the individual skill, and the cult of personality around Maradona, it’s hard to argue with that moniker. Over the next 10 seconds and 60 yards, Maradona dribbled four English defenders before shaking goalkeeper Peter Shilton out of his boots for a tap-in. This goal is both so good and so legendary that when Lionel Messi scored an eerily similar goal for Barcelona, it was shown as proof that he was Maradona reincarnated. (Maradona was still alive at the time, but that didn’t stop anyone.) Argentina would go on to beat Belgium in the semifinal by a score of 2-0 (Maradona scored both goals, of course), before toppling West Germany 3-2 to lift its second World Cup title in eight years. Maradona was never better than he was in the 1986 World Cup—has anyone ever been better, period?—and he was never more in his element as a world-beating whirlwind of dribbling magic than he was in those 10 seconds against England.

How Can They Win The World Cup?

This is the best Argentina World Cup team since Messi burst onto the scene. Not a lot has to break right for the albiceleste to win the title that has eluded it for 32 years, at least not beyond the usual lucky breaks that a World Cup-winning side needs to make it through the group stage and four knockout matches. Messi isn’t exactly at his peak, but as the team proved last year in the Copa America, he doesn’t need to be his world-beating self anymore. Argentina has plenty of weapons around him, and a defense worthy of its attacking talents. The hardest challenge might just be that aforementioned Brazil semifinal, but there are no glaring red flags for Argentina this time around.
