Je plonge dans l'eau comme si je plongeai dans le bonheur.

Cette eau me caresse le corps et fait partir avec elle tout les mauvaises ondes du passé.

Reparti en enfance je regarde le fond et je me vois moi et mon frere en train de s'amuser. Ces moments là me manque mais l'eau me garde avec lui, la surface, je ne veux plus y retourner. J'avais dit mourir dans les bras de quelqu'un et je mourrai dans les bras de l'eau.

Je regarde la surface et les reflets qui y traversent en souriant. Je me sens bien... je me sens revivre et pourtant... pourtant j'ai toujours pas l'envie de ressortir. Je me dit peut-etre qu'en sortant le malheur reviendra alors je me laisse couler doucement jusqu'a ce que mon mayo touche le sol. C'est si calme, si reposant... Je reste jusqu'a ce que l'eau me pique. Ca y est, lui aussi, il ne veux plus de moi. Il veut que je remonte.

Le sel rentre dans mes yeux et me mordille la sclère. Je decide alors de remonter d'un seul coup, balancant mes cheveux dans le vent pour les replacer. Je regarde le monde en me disant "Mince, j'ai faillit merder"

Restoring Balance through the Koshas and Doshas, a personal journey

This last year has been one of incredible growth, perseverance, refinement, and reconstruction.

Personally, I have come face to face with challenges that have brought me to my knees and at times to tears. Yet, something within me, kept me moving forward.

I was comparing myself, wearing myself out, and allowing myself to be pushed and pulled in all directions without giving myself the healthy boundaries I needed To refuel.

“You are not everything to everyone, said Kelly McHugh, my coach, and teacher.

She spoke these words and I realized I was living by fumes and trying to please everyone but me. "Where did I lose myself along the way?"

I was just staying on the surface and not living within my true, authentic, silly, and loving "Self". I was stuck in a cycle of old habits, imposter syndrome, and doubt that led to lifestyle choices of imbalance, disharmony, and downright suck.

I felt stuck, stale, and static without anything to be excited about.

Have you ever felt like this?

I started to learn about:

what makes me who I am

what is my purpose

what do I have to offer

how can I make a difference

and how will I be able to restore balance in my life again?

I enrolled in school to work on my doctorate in Ayurveda and Physiology, and immersed myself in Vedic science, as I began a deep dive into the practice of TM, (transcendental meditation), and began to see the link between my elemental composition and how I am the manifest of these different layers of my life. I learned about my Doshas, which are the 3 constitution elemental forms that embody who we are and why we are the way we are, and dove deeper into my appreciation of the Koshas, the 5 layers of Consciousness from abstract to manifest form that we live out daily.

From December of 2020 till this day, I have seen quite the progress in my own journey, and although I still have a long ways to go, I have seen the powerful transformation it has had in my life and the blessings I am able to see now with the blinders off.

I want to invite you to discover the same.

Together we will discover the “Self,” by diving into the layers of our manifest lives created by the abstract elemental Inner Being.

Koshas and Doshas form “us.” When out of balance, we really feel it. From feelings of depression, addiction, denial, fatigue, body aches, stiffness, loneliness, as well as the contrary, overwhelmed, anxiety, not enough time, guilty for taking a break….

This is where we come together to regroup, reconnect, and refine the truth of who we are and where we lost ourselves.

Over these next 7 days, we will begin with asking ourselves:

A time of powerful silence with 33 gorgeous souls, we greeted each other with our eyes, fingertips, and the breath of life. It was like an oasis. Life can get really busy and involved. Schedules can demand that we keep moving without really Seeing. Being. Or Breathing. Ourselves or even with those we share this ground with. Layer on the amount of perceptions, judgements, needs and boundaries and there really is no way we are going to radically move beyond our self-protection and isolation. Sometimes it’s fear. Sometimes it’s just plain negligence or in-opportunity. We just don’t have it for whatever reason. Having been touched and held by the gaze of so many hearts, I can say with authority, we need it. This oasis of being seen. It is grounding. It is partaking. It is freeing. There is healing in those eyes. And gravity in the life of one standing in front of you helping you see. This practice reminds me of Jesus. And how people felt His Healing… Soul Stare. And how we can be like Him, and heal ourselves and others by looking with the eyes of the heart. Interesting “side product” …. I am amazed how quickly I found my “middle” again — all I needed was getting hold of my Apple Pencil and my IPad, and then starting to transfer my sketches into Adobe Illustrator! Can you guess which book I’m presently reading? . And which habit I’m beginning to form? . Well, it’s not entirely new to me, but it’s nice to be confirmed by an acclaimed author — habits can be completed in a few seconds (or minutes in this case), but continue to impact your behaviour for minutes or hours afterward. (….) . In my case, rather than aiming for the perfect painting or piece of art, I find it totally satisfying to start any artistic endeavour with a quick sketch in my sketchbook! I use bold strokes of watercolour, an intuitive choice of colours, and a pencil or ink pen. . Usually this starts me off for something more complex. But even if it doesn’t, I still get the immediate gratification of having filled another page in my sketchbook — job done! . What do you think of that approach? Worth trying for a day or two? How are you all, dear friends out there? . Remember these bunnies? I just came across them again, and it’s only been 6 months since I finalised my first collection, but it seems almost like another lifetime! . I really feel I have come a long way since. So why not pull that collection out again, and see how I can tweak it a little, maybe even improve?! . At the time I really struggled with the second colour way! I think this is a good starting point — I will make use of my newly learnt skills with the recolour artwork tool, and maybe also play around with the scale of my initial patterns! .
