summary: sapnap visits dream in prison for the first time, but things turn out differently from what happened in canon

thoughts: i cried. not really, but i was pretty sad when i read this. lots of angst, but the hurt/comfort was there to make me feel better!

More Than A Bandaid by notorphanedaccount / rated G / tags: skater!sap and pretty hospital receptionist!dream + mild descriptions of blood and injury / oneshot

summary: Sapnap is accident-prone, and also happens to have a soft spot for pretty boys with blonde hair and green eyes who happen to work at the ER. This is not a good thing.

thoughts: the author took the meet-cute concept and made it one of the best things ive read this 2022, skater!sap lives in my mind rent-free and im not even mad about it

summary: Sapnap brings a smile to Dream's face, but it's a double-edge sword.

thoughts: please read it. i cried fr this time. its so good.

summary: the one where Sapnap realizes he's in love.

thoughts: pining at it's finest, dreamnap slowburn, my beloved. would always rec if anyone's interested in childhood friends to lovers done right 👍

summary: that one (1) richard siken quote that goes: you're going to die in your best friend's arms.

thoughts: pain. that's it. but yes the wiring is phenomenal and the imagery is outstanding.

thoughts: meet-cute set in a bakery can never go wrong and i stand by this.

summary: Dream gets injured on missions— a lot. Hiding his hero-status from Sapnap hurts more, and his feelings for his best friend puts a spin on things.

thoughts: loved it, liked the concept and the ending was real sweet!

thoughts: the fic™ that got me to ship dnb, this was it lads.

summary: In which Dream falls physically, and Techno falls metaphorically.

thoughts: the best way to end a two part series, getting to know the other character's pov!!

A Song in Ice by ollie_oxen_free / rated T / tags: fantasy au + arranged marriage + the homoeroticism of swordfighting / oneshot

summary: In need of an ally to fight an encroaching army, Dream agrees to marry the king of a distant kingdom.

Ever a fan of the underdogs, King Technoblade agrees to marry the governor of a distant land in exchange for help from his army.

They are both completely normal about this, btw.

thoughts: READ THIS PLS, IM COMPELLING YOU ALL TO READ THIS. would give the author a kiss (romantic or platonic for how good this fic was)

so dawn goes down to day (nothing gold can stay) by luolii / rated T / tags: mcd + sick fic + highschool au + sadness and pain, actually / two chapters, completed (i didn't finish this bc it got too sad)

summary: a story of youth, small yellow flowers, and love.

or or, what it means to lose someone

thoughts: i dont have the strength to finish this bc again, ouch. but the writing is beautiful!!

Hungry for your Touch sadly the author is also orphaned (sobbing in a corner) / rated T / tags: hurt/comfort + light angst + blood and injury / oneshot

summary: Dream is running from Tommy and ends up at Techno's house. Tommy cut his mask open and Techno doesn't recognize who the stranger he's helping recover from his injuries is.

thoughts: the first half of the story was really good!

New Hunger by Typical_Kiwi / rated M / tags: merfolk au / chaptered fic (5/6 updated last on 01/09/2022)

summary: Techno runs from his piling, suffocating problems. Runs and runs and runs, drawn by a strange obsession with a certain high-paced river in Yorkshire.

Somehow this leads him to unexpected freedom, found with a charismatic, glowing merthing that terrorizes UK waters.

thoughts: not entirely my cup of tea, but who knows, maybe ill like it when i continue reading it one day. the concept is pretty interesting, so i thought id add it here in case anyone's interested

(and that's it for my fic recs! i still haven't scavenged through the entirety of the dreamnap and dnb tags in AO3 yet, so i might end up finding more later on!)

ok imma try this and see if it helps me write anything, lmao. i found a few prompt lists i like so im gonna splice them together

so, i guess ideally u would just choose a thingy from each list, and an ateez or verivery member, but tbh u can choose whatever ones feel right. just don't give me like, more than 4. cause that's a lot, lmao. but i will try to write it maybe :0 also i mainly do fluff, but i can add like, a hint of angst or a tiny bit of suggestiveness maybe. idk. also i got rid of a couple cause they were uncomfy to me :p
