Hard Travelin' Hootenanny- Orig by Woody Gutherie, been listening to the recording from the "til we outnumber em" album feat like everyone.

this ones from a cd that I didnt read well enough and thought was woody, but its actually a live tribute concert w a lotta musicians covering his stuff (bruce springsteen, annie defranco, rambling jack elliot, etc) and it rocks. first track is a cover where everyone in the concert takes a bit of the "hard ramblin". i need to listen to more folk lmao. Turns out i dont love woodys own recordings (his voice just aint for me!) but i LOVE his songs as theyre covered

I was surprised to learn not only was this not originally by cash, the original by beck was already a country song! the story behind it is kinda fun (he wrote it in like 5 minutes on the way to the studio just bc he wanted to record SOMETHING with a steel guitar player he saw) and in the vid beck gets kinda emotional hearing cash complement him, its kinda sweet.

Mama- My Chemical Romance

the song that got me into MCR. I don't sing along at concerts usually, but i was fucking belting this one when i saw them. its a difficult choice but this is probs my fave MCR song. listen i know everyone loves black parade but i confess i sometimes skip it when im not in the mood. mama though? never fucking skip.

this is one of those one songs i kinda hated the first time i heard it, the creaky ass voice of lou reed and the switch offs between gentle and kinda goofy beats. but after a couple of listens i think something inside me changed mentally. the beep boops shoot straight to my heart. that one "scream". all we are.... is stars

Benny rings the Morgan’s doorbell.

Ethan rushes to the door a muffled “I got it!” is heard from the other side.

He opens the door to 2 benny, who has a backpack on with a guitar in hand.

“Oh hey what's up?”

“You wanted to play together right,” he lifts up his guitar “Is now a good time?”

“Yeah! Yes yeah of course come on in!” he opens the door.

“Oh hey did you rip that CD?” Ethan asks heading to the kitchen.

“Ah. Uh. About that.” Benny nervously adds “My laptop’s completely dead so…”

“Ah right, water damage im guessing?”

“Yeah…” benny defeatly sits on Ethan’s countertop, he immediately shoots up.

“OH WAIT” he flumbes for his back pocket, pulling out his Ipod nano.

"Its not offically on Itunes or anything but," he starts untangling his earbuds and hands one to ethan "I got it on here."

Ethan takes the earbud and rubs the earwax off on his shirt before putting it in.

They listen to a couple of his songs and Ethan’s aboslutely blown away. As the song finishes Ethan pipes up.

“Omg dude this is so good??" he takes the bud out of his ear, "who’s on the drums?!”

“Oh me” he smiles

“What? No way, your singing tho right?”

“Uh yeah but you can sing and play the drums at the same time dude.”

“Oh. wait really?" he questions, “Wouldnt the mic pick up the drums tho?”

“Nah not if you lean into the mic!”

“Inch-a-resting…” he ponders, “you’ll have to show me sometime!”

“For sure, if my packages ever arrive…”

“Oh what do you mean?”

"I came over via airplane so like. most of my shit is shipping in boxes."

"Aw that sucks, well I bet they'll be here soon!"

"Yeah, hmm." Benny thinks on it, his shoulders slump. "I'm. gonna go call and check if thats okay."

"Sure! sure! Can I keep listening to your music?"

"Hell yeah go ahead." Benny smiles handing E his Neon Green Ipod and walking off. "Is this your restroom?"

"Yea!" Ethan says starting to scroll though their songs.

Benny locks the door behind him and hesistently clicks on his fathers contact.

It rings. And Rings.

And rings…

No answer. Fucking christ. Benny thumps his feet and before he could hit call again, its his dad.

"Hey Ben what do ya want?"

"Ah ha hey dad," Benny holds his arm to try to manage the shakes. "Just checking in."

"I'm doin' fine, really why are you calling so early."

"Oh ahha" he squeaks, his nervous laugher failing him. "Forgot time zones and everything haha, just wondering if you when my stuff will get here."

"Huh?"

"My stuff, like the boxes I packed, when did they expect em to arrive?"

"Oh, I didn't get to it yet."

"What?" Benny strained his voice to be calm.

"I didn't ship them yet I'll do it this week."

"This week?" Benny pulls on his hair. "It can take MONTHS for shit to travel internationally, I need it to be shipped now!"

"Hold your horses lady don't speak to me like this."

"I can speak to you how ever I want! It's my fucking things!"

"Who bought you half those things?"

"I DID. WITH MY MONEY!"

"Uh huh sure," his dad pauses to take a drink.

Benny can hear the annoying, discusting slurping noises from the other side. "Why the fuck didn't you ship it sooner?"

"I forgot okay? Jesus maybe I don't wanna think about how my kid left me."

"That's all you fucking do! All you do is fucking forget you peice of human shi-"

Back in the kitchen ethan is mindlessly jamming out to the G's songs. He waves at his mom entering the kitchen with a horrorified look.

She says something to him.

"What?"

She says something again.

"Wait."

Ethan takes pulls out an earbud to be met with the screaming match happening the next room over. He can finally hear his mom.

"Ethan what in gods name is happening?" she puts her hand over her heart, "Is your friend okay?"

"Oh jesus I didn't even notice," He rips out the other bud and runs over to the bathroom door.

"Benny?" he knocks, "Are you okay."

Benny stops in his tracks. Jesus fuck, you idiot, your in another persons fucking home right now. Haven't you learned to shut the fuck up already.

He twitches. "Just fucking ship it TODAY alright? Do this ONE fucking thing." Benny hangs up, he's shaking uncontrollably.

He takes a deep breath and opens the door. He's met with Ethan and his mom wearing worried faces.

"I'm really sorry about that Ms.Morgan," he covers his face to hide from the emberassment. "I shouldn't have done that here."

"Hey hey," Ethan's mom puts his hands on his shoulders, "Are you okay? Who even was that?"

Benny glups "My dad." he just wants to cry.

"You poor thing," she gives him a hug. "Ethan said this was something to do with drums right?"

He looks up at Ethan who gives him an anxious smile, "Yeah, yeah my dad hasn't shipped my drum kit, or anything else."

"I'm sorry," she rubs his back and pulls out of the hug, "I don't know how to make you stuff ship faster but, I do have a nice set of drums with your name on it in the attic."

"Wait really?" Benny smiles.

"Yeah If you can two can find it its all yours."

Benny pogs over at ethan, "DUDE CAN WE?"

"Look for it?" Ethan asks "Sure but I have horrible alergies…"

"YES LETS GO." He grabs Ethan's jean jacket, but stops before running off.

"Ms. Morgan where's the attic door?"

She shakes her head at the overly excited boy "Here follow me."

She leads the boys upstairs to the room next to Ethans and knocks on the door.

"Jane," she knocks "It's me can you open up?"

"What is it?" she opens the door, confused by the crowd.

"Ethan and his friend need to go though the addic, do you mind?"

"Yes I do," she huffs "This is a girls only space."

"How does a bowl of icecream sound as a trade?" her mom offers.

"With sprinkles?"

"With Sprinkles."

"And whipped Cream?"

"Yes, but don't push it."

"YAY okay." she hops along, pulling and dragging at her moms sleave.

"Alright, the" she tries to resist Janes tugging "the door is right next to her dresser, and- and feel free to pull anything out I'll put it back!"

She finally gives in to Janes will and fumbles downstaires.

"So that was your sister."

"Dont. Even say anything."

They enter the overly pink and plush-a-fied room and start pulling open the door. With a bit of elbow greese the small wooden door slams open

"OW my hand." Ethan wags his hand back and forth.

"Haha loser." Benny teases, getting on his hands and knees to crawl though. "Oh its fuckin dark in here."

"Here I got it." Ethan pulls out his Iphone's flashlight. "Does this help any?"

"Yea yea thank you." Benny starts scowering the boxes filled with junk.

Ethan follows along and shines the light on different contaners trying to make out the lables. A lot of holiday stuff like christmas, valentines day, thanksgiving, and halloween. Festive Family I guess. They go farther and farther into the hord, finally finding stuff like Wedding Day and Baby pictures.

At the very end, shoved into a corner, begging to be for gotten a drum and a symbol is found.

"AW FUCK YEA!!" Benny cheers, moving them aside, to find more parts and bits for the drums. in the very middle of the mess is an unlabled box.

"Huh." Ethan looks over benny's shoulder. Trying not to sneeze at all the dustmites. "Whats in that?"

"I don't know I don't see any lables." He shrugs.

"I wanna seee." Ethan begs.

"Okay okay, can we take out the drum stuff first?"

"Augh alright but thats so weird." Ethan says, as benny loads his arms up with symbols and screws "Everything else here is labled pretty perfectly.

"Maybe she just forgot to lable it." Benny says, rolling the kick drum infront of him.

Slowly all the drum parts, big and small were out of the addic and on janes floor.

"Okay now can we look at that box?"

"Alright mystery man, I bet its just gonna be like dolls or some shit."

They treck their way back though and lug out the surprisingly heavy box.

Ethan sits down and starts opening it up.

"Woahhh." Ethan starts pulling out photos and- "Hey what are you doing??"

"I'm setting up the drum kit!"

"Not here! Do you really wanna drag a set up drum kit down a flight of stairs."

"I've done it before…" He looks down. "But rather not again come on help me."

Ethan sets down the photo of a very gothic looking woman who seems familiar and follows benny downstairs grabbing a small drum on the way down.

"Hiya." Benny says, arms loaded with drums "We found it!"

"Yay!" Jane cheers, face covered in chocolate and vanilla icecream. "is that why they were in my room?"

"Yes, and thats great…guys." She still couldn't remember the boys name.

"Where should we set this up?" Asks ethan.

"Oh in the garadge if thats okay!"

"Got it thank youu." Ethan heads to the back door and holds it open for Benny.

After the boys drag everything down into the outside garage they can finally open up the mystery box Ethan was so weirdly excited about.

Turns out, the woman in all those pictures next to famous bands like The Cure, The Smiths and The damned was his step mom in the 80s! He couldn't tell if she was backstage fan for these bands or… playing with them? No way right? All of these bands already had established drummers why would they need some suburban mom to play with em?

All of these questions brewed in Ethans head, since Benny was much much more interested in setting up his new drum kit. He would hear him occationally murmer

"Holy shit this is a Ludwig set…" and "AN IMPULSE CRASH BROOOooOO."

whatever that means.

"Hey im gonna go head inside, Do you want anything to drink?"

"Uhh yeah sure do you got any apple juice?" Benny says, not looking up.

"Yeah I think so." Ethan says, grabbing a few of the photos, "I'll be back."

THIS IS MY CD COLLECTION SO FAR (sorry i took that last ask as an invitation no one else will listen to me ramble :sob:)

this is minus three because i'd get doxxed if i showed two of them (they're my uncle's band and my grandpa's band that i still need to listen to actually) and there's another taylor swift one under 1989 because i wanted them to be perfectly lined up

theyre in an order kinda but it's very arbitrary

the first three are new ones my dad got me for my birthday to go with the cd player, and the rest are from my dad's old collection except the taylor swift ones those are old ones of mine from when i was really little

now that theyre on a shelf it's pretty much the same order but some of them don't have discs in them (we're working on finding them), including all but one of the augustana albums (truly tragic i LOVE augustana) and the linkin park album (again so sad :() so those ones are somewhere else till we find the discs

also like 7 of these are OAR and i'm sure my dad has more that i didnt grab of them :sob: and i didnt even try sorting through the 30+ dave matthews albums and concert bootlegs he owns it was like half the box

anyway my dad has banger music taste and i recommend pretty much all of this :3 (except the stuff i havent listened to but i trust my dads judgement on music)

Honestly all look like banger albums and you somehow got one of the only Green Day cds that I DONT have, right now I’ve got American Idiot, Dookie, International Superhits and Saviours (which are all my favourites anyway so im not complaining lmao) I actually haven’t listened to oar, maybe they aren’t as well known in the UK, I’ll give em a listen!! ALSO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NIRVANA’S NEVERMIND ALBUM IF YOU LIKE THE OTHER ONE YOU HAVE IN THE PHOTO 👍 Ummmm, im just tryna think of other music i listen to, OH WAIT, this might not be your thing at all and they’re mostly a VERY VERY British Band, but madness is pretty good for kinda weird music with that same 70s/80s/90s sound i guess lol I hope you’re able to find the discs!! I recommend buying CDs from Ebay instead of directly from a shop if possible, they’re just a hell of a lot cheaper, like going from £10 to 50p (which is a fucking hell of a discount in British money at least lol) HAVE FUN LISTENING MY CDS HAVE ACTUALLY TAKEN OVER MY LIFE I LOVE THEM WITH MY WHOLE HEART 💪

I wish I could find the old letters I wrote about you on this site now more than 15 years ago – shit, after all this time. Because I did really love you and felt like every song was about you. I would go to school and listen to all the CDs I burned. And then I think of you. I just got scared. We were so young, but I remember feeling like it was so deep with you. It’s like it wasn’t even about us liking loving each other, it was about us seeing the core of each other so easily and with grace. Which sounds crazy because we were too young then. I’ve spent my whole life trying to figure myself out and it’s like you’ve understood me before i even understood myself. The way you spoke to me and got me and were so patient with me.

You were the first person I really loved (and im going to continue on loving). I just didn’t have the words for it and the courage at the time.

Now that we’ve reconnected over the past few months, I find myself thinking about you all the time. There has been a lot that’s happened. Stuff that you don’t know about that has made me a person who is anxious and is terrified of men. I believe that all they do is hurt and I work every day on not feeling that way. I say that I hate 'em but it’s really just protection. I don’t feel safe with any of them. I get tense and hostile. But when I think about you……my shoulders drop. And I’m starting to think that’s something? That counts for something right? I know without a doubt in my mind that you would never hurt me, that you would care for me, that you would always be there. You are my safe haven.

okk i gave in n decided 2 listen 2 the RTL songs b4 the drama cd bc apparently songs come out B4 the drama cds so it’s w/e

BAE vs AMP/RULE: ngl im not a fan of either of the songs? i think bae might win tho. for the theme of fate tho i feel like amp/rule makes more sense seeing as how d0ngha has his future w the company n stuff n he has 2 make sure hes the true ruler.

TCW vs 1n/m8: shooting arrows- i like the vibes! i can Dig It. the chorus is a lil meh 4 me tho n sounds odd but things like the intro n the unique feel over all r p cool. edN- it feels like an idol song! a lil bit boring esp 4 a rap song but it’s still light n nice. overall- i think i like edN more on a ‘i would listen 2 this again’ lvl but i Do dig what shooting arrows had goin on. i wouldnt b 2 surprised if it won from sheer Vibes alone. for the theme of fate, both of them fit p well. tc/w had the fate of meeting shiki n ryu n 4 1n/m8, they hav their fate of meeting w zero n their goal theyre working 2ward after coming out of the facility.

czmz vs V!STY: hit em up- every1 on twt rly liked hit em up but i feel like the only person who kinda didnt? it wasnt bad tho dont get me wrong! i might like it better w a relisten. they rly do suit the theme of Rage tho considering thts kinda what they’re built on! czmz has always been abt looking down on others bc theyve been looked down upon, n having tht anger from their awful past fits here. happy record store day here’s all the cds i got this week

#okay so the first two my mom gave me. she was like oh you like johnny cash? here have my cd #and the other idk who those guys are lol she just gave em to me and said that i might like em but i haven’t listened yet #okay next bill haley i saw that at the thrift store a couple days ago and got it it was like 2 dollars and i love 50s rock so im happy #aannddd then all the stuff i bought today!#the smogs will get their own post because i want to show the liner notes #rust never sleeps for obvious reasons. it was that or harvest but i feel like i can find harvest els #elsewhere easily and maybe for cheaper (not that this store is expensive its not but still) and also ive been listening to this A LOT #and the csn! i wasnt gonna get those because i don’t really love compilations but its more of a set of unreleased songs? i think?? unsure #but they were both half the usual price of all the other cds (i assume because theyre part of a set? but they both have like 20 songs so its #really a bang for your buck) so i figured why the hell not right #oh oh also i stole my dads copy of neil unplugged but its in a paper protector not an actual cd case so just trust me #music #i feel like i should have a tag for my cd adventures but ehhh

MEIN BIRTHDAY CD SHOP HAUL... you could say I have a spending issue (which would be horribly correct) but that is not our focus for today... instead I will now put everything I got under the cut and put my enthusiasm down there as to not horrifically clog your dash with a long winded post

first i cant believe that cheapo had me pay $5 for a scuffed cd i find it a bit insane considering it usually docks a price by quite a bit but whatever i dont care that much actually as long as it plays ok <3 ANYWAY i got two pulp cds bc of how much visi talks abt em and praises them so im quite excited... i started listening to different class the other day but like forgot to continue after pausing. and then got this is hardcore because why not.

next row! i got two suzanne vega cds... i got soitude standing bc i like ok i did this bc i like tom’s diner i’ve never really listened to any other suzanne vega outside of that. but i cannot resist a cheap used cd... so i got the other one too bc um. for fun. and then got gwen stefanni’s love angel music baby bc i admit i enjoy missus gwen and i like a fair amount of songs from that album :]

THEN THIRD ROW THE ONE IM MOST EXCITED FOR... THEY FINALLY RESTOCKED THEIR BLUR SECTION <3 EXTREMELY EXCITED TO FINALLY HAVE PARKLIFE very exciting day for the eiffel community and not only that but USED so it was cheaper<3 and they only had modern life is rubbish and the great escape for new and well i was ok paying those prices for it bc um #blurgirl. i finished listening to modern life is rubbish this evening actually online so i am quite happy to say i am in fact happy to own the cd. and the songs i have heard from the great escape i do quite enjoy so! excited to hear the rest of the tracks

finally... scissor sisters!!! i love scissor sisters my besties really :) i got the night work album which i have yet to listen to. you see there’s a bit of a running theme where i keep buying cds for the hell of it. ALSO I GOT A LITTLE AUDIO BIOGRAPHY! it’s like a bunch of interviews n stuff so i’m excited to give that a listen at some point i find interview discs actually quite interesting as a concept. which reminds me i do wanna get some depeche mode ones i’ve seen floating around eventually. here’s to hoping i can find some reasonably priced ones online somewhere. ALSO for this interview disc it came with a free mini poster! which to my absolute joy was, in fact, still in the the cover! so i got a mini poster! yay!

finally, my posters! i actually got four posters but the robert smith one i bought didn’t have the little preview image in the tube and i can’t be assed to find the actual pictures of all these posters online sorry </3 but i got the gorillaz portrait one from plastic beach era... and then amy winehouse :) bc i like her and want another pretty woman to watch me while i sleep however she will be going up at my bedroom at home instead of my campus apartment. and then prince! because i also love prince! and want him in my room at home!

this concludes my $113 birthday purchase from the music store👍️

This is basically an anecdotal commentary on those posts that are like "you're life isn't over after 21, like the concept of youth is a myth"

Because its so true for people who don't get to be the ages they actually are while growing up. I never got to do things that a lot of 13, 14, 15 year olds were doing during their formative years. I never got to "go to a concert for a band I like that I've been listening to on cds" as an adult I got invited to venues where local bands play as you get drunk, but like it never had that all consuming exhilaration that comes from "going to the xband/Yband z opening act concert that you're so excited for an can scream all the lyrics with ur friend(s)" and like I was raising children, working jobs, trying to survive at that age, even in my late teens and early twenties, I was working over 40 hours a week nonstop trying to live on my own, I finally moved into my own place without roomates at 21 and it's like you feel upset about not getting to have those "cutesy college romance/friendship experience" or whatever you know, but its like actually we never lose those child years, we just were using our adult years before we were adults because we needed them to survive

And its like now that we're stable, and secure - like you don't have to be a teenager to have that teenage giggly fun. Like those aren't gone, they're just waiting for you to be in a safe place so you can enjoy them

Like im a grown adult dating another grown adult, they have a child, a serious job, an ex partner, I have raised a child that is currently with my estranged mother, I am finally working a job that I intend to be at for a long time, living on my own in stability and security, we very much have serious priorities and do professional adult things like budgeting and grocery shopping and meal prep.

But like we have silly dates where we watch YouTube and giggle and awkwardly hold hands and ask if we can kiss each other like WERE GOING TO A FREAKING CONCERT I'm so excited, like we're fucking adults who have long since graduated from high school, BUT WERE GONNA GO TO SEE 3 BANDS PLAYING AND THEYRE LIKE MY FAVORITE BANDS LIKE

LIKE dudes, I had a yellow CD player and among my cd collection were 2 cds from these bands, and a cd I burned w songs from all 3 on it and a few others like im literally exploding with joy. I'm GOING TO A CONCERT like this literally feels like the most exciting date ever like I literally feel like a 16 year old singing first date by blink 182 getting ready for prom. Youth as age is a myth, it's a state of the mind. You can be young at mind and heart no matter how old you are, it's just about pure joy and exhilaration for life. Like when u see those tiktoks of old people that are amazing it's because they are young at mind. They have the youth of joy, rather than the myth that joy is of the youth. So yeah if you're like struggling, especially if ur young. Like this is coming from someone who just I mean damn. I almost killed myself so many times, not just through suicidal attempts, but self destructive or neglectful behavior. I mean I've almost just starved to death from laying in bed for months, that's how little life I had left in me to keep going, but like I'm literally so glad I'm alive rn. Like I am so happy that I haven't killed myself. And even though I'm having a really hard time even now, because with stability comes the work - your brain, all that stuff it bottled up to let you keep going, it's like "hey I've been holding all these heavy bottles of trauma and shit and ur like doing pretty good right. So can u open a couple of these, drink em work through that ?" And it sucks, it hurts and it brings back all that struggle, but you just breathe cause it's going to be okay, you couldn't work through the trauma then but you're an amazing creature who's brain was able to hold onto that and push it down to keep you up, and going, and surviving. Your brain had to choose between reconciling with the trauma or helping you survive cause it just didn't have the resources to do both, but when you keep going and you survive, and you make it to a foothold to stop and rest, drink that bad drink, it hurts and it makes you feel like you're going to fall back down but you just have to hold on to the stability, the safety, the good things you've created and remind yourself that those past wounds hurt, and you never had the chance to heal them then because of how hard and scary everything was, but when you're safe, you are safe, and you are so strong, you can peel those crusty bandaids off, it hurts when it pulls the skin and hair but you are strong and you are safe now, you have built the knowledge to work through and treat those festering infected wounds that you just had to slap a bandaid on to keep from bleeding out. You can clean them out and rebandage them in a way to let them heal, and with consistent treatment and bandage changes, monitoring and taking medication, whatever is gonna be the best way to heal that wound, even if it will always leave a scar, you can do this. And you can have joy and be a kid no matter how old you are - look at me, I'm living my 13 year old fantasy. It's like in turning red, I watched that movie, I loved it but it was almost alienating how different that experience was. I was largely alone spending most of my time with an infant and a drunk old man. I never got to go cry at a concert and sing my favorite cds. But now, I can. And I can feel it, I'm so excited.

i own the damn cd of the japanese ost it came with stickers they're adorable i love the japanese ost so much and its not avablile in america bUT you can get it on spotify in japan and long story short i learned how to change my region on spotify and i periodically change it for the sake of lsitening to the journeys ost lonely night is the 13th most listened to song on all of my spotify trends.

Hakuoki Drama CD Flower and Oni Translation

First post of the month! so as always, I’ll once again start by asking you to please support me if you can either on ko-fi, through paypal or patreon for access to my blog post translations or just to support me (current special access is my translation of the seventh Saito Ginsei no Shou chater)... also let me know if you have any hakuoki drama cds that you’d be willing to share that are on my looking for list since i either do not have audio for those cds or do not have audio that i can share...

btw, was there an image of the sky in SSL that matches the one here? sorta want it for something but can’t exactly remember if it was in the game cuz i haven’t picked up my vita in a long while since i screwed mine up....

also, to whom it may it concern: 中秋快乐! slightly delayed tho lol.

Anyway, this is my translation of the Hakuoki MesseSanoh store exclusive drama cd - Flower and Oni “花と鬼.”

one of the dramas i found back in june... at the time, i coincidentally obtained CH translations of all the other Tokuten cds that were released with the ps2 Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan game (based on info from tokio-fujita’s drama cd livejournal page). no idea when i’ll get to those.... since all the ones that haven’t been translated yet are +10min long (i did somehow manage to obtain the audio for all of them months before i got the CH tls for em).

Also, there was one sentence missing in the tl for this. had the translation of it commissioned from @jokertrap-ran. left that text in bold.

enjoy~ final edits will be done when i do a video for it (i’m 90% sure the sighs/laughter and other misc sounds weren’t translated properly in the text i found but oh well).

Souji: Areh? Kondou-san? What are you doing over here?

Souji: Are you appreciating the flowers right now?

Kondou: Although there are assignments, and despite how every day is recently bloody [reword later], it's really nice to be able to appreciate the flowers like this once in a while

Souji: It's really nice, the sun is warming and shining brightly, and the blooming sakura are beautiful.

Kondou: Yes

Souji: Nn, it's really nice [says comfortable/feeling well].

Kondou: haha, Souji, have another cup of tea.

(footsteps)

Souji: I won't be polite then.

Kondou: Nn, those footsteps are quite noisy.

Souji: Those footsteps, they're Hijikata-san's.

Hijikata: Really, everyone is like this......

Souji: Look, I guessed correctly.

Kondou: haha, that's really amazing.

Hijikata: What, it if isn't Kondou-san and Souji.

Kondou: You don't look that happy, Toshi, come have a cup of tea.

Hijikata: You two are really relaxed, to be drinking tea while enjoying the flowers.

Souji: I think this is better than drinking, or it because we're not having sake that you're angry?

Hijikata: Kondou-san, this concerns the warriors who recently joined our ranks.

Kondou: Ah, it seems that a lot of people have gathered, so the Shinsengumi will get better and better in the future.

Hijikata: If only if that were the case.

Kondou: Nn, what's the problem?

Hijikata: I was training the new members just now. Although it's good there are many new recruits [says volunteers. if audio doesn't have xin in it, i'll change it to interested volunteers], a lot of them are lazy and completely useless, few of them can be used/can be put to use.

Souji: Isn't it your job to train them? Vice-commander Hijikata. [check for -san]

Hijikata: Souji don't just relax and drink tea, you should be training them with me.

Souji: No/Don't wanna.

Hijikata: What?! For what reason?

Souji: Because I'm resting right now.

Hijikata: It doesn't matter if you are or aren't resting. If the executives don't take the lead, what is to be done? tell me [answer me]!

Souji: Really. Here we go again. It's because you take these arbitrary and out of place actions, that everyone gets annoyed [more literally: bored].

Hijkata: Oh, who's fed up with me [then]? I'll ask you to give me their names.

Souji: You didn't notice? Hijikata-san, you're unexpectedly slow.

Hijikata: Hey, I say [literal translation. i'm assuming this is more along the lines of 'say that again!']

Kondou: Come on, come on [im guessing the audio is 'ma, ma'], you two should let it be. Come, calm down and and look at the sakura......

Hijikata: don't say anything else Kondou-san, this is Souji's and my problem.

Souji: Sorry, Kondou-san, I don't want to bother you, you can look [at them] by yourself.

Kondou: Ah, is that so?

Souji: I've wonder, but is Hijikata-san's way of doing things really okay?

Hijikata: What? Souji. Do you have a problem/complaints with me? [Or] are you looking down on me/[Or it] just that you hate me?

Kondou: What am I, your nanny!?

[will probably change that to ‘what are you, his nanny?’ for language flow]

Souji: No/That's not it? Anyway, I'm still the First Division Captain of the Shinsengumi.

Hijikata: If you're a captain, you should act like one, and take care of the team members.

Souji: I have taken care of it [that].

Kondou: To be fighting in front of beautiful flowers...... really what a headache. As a warrior/samurai, how can you not enjoy the cherry blossoms?!

Hijikata: What is there to look at/see, it's because of this that I work so hard.

Souji: You're not happy/Are you upset? I thought Hijikata-san was quite willing/happy to do this.

Hijikata: What?!

Kondou: Oh, right, I've thought of something good, both of you listen. As the chief of the Shinsengumi, I have a proposal.

Hijikata: What?

Souji: What?

Kondou: In order to promote friendlier relations within the team members, how about holding a hanami/sakura viewing party?

Hijikata: Kondou-san, do you know what time it is right now?

Souji: I approve/support that. I think that that the team members will improve after those that don't know each other are able to deepen their friendship.

Kondou: Nn, thats it/like that, I also wanted to say that.

Souji: That's just like Kondou-san, you're different from a certain someone who is difficult to deal with.

Hijikata: Souji, say that again!

Souji: What?

Hijikata: well, i finally understand. compared to those new guys, souji, you're the one that's useless.

Souji: If yo're too harsh, the new recruits will run away. Hijikata-san, drink some tea and calm down.

Hijikata: You!

Kondou: Toshi, take a teacup and quickly drink.

Hijikata: Ah.

Souji: then i should probably go back to training.

Kondou: You're going, Souji?

Souji: Yes, Kondou-san. But, don't let everyone run away from the training grounds again. [tho that's an accurate tl, i'm guess this should be more among the lines of "But I can't help it/it's not my fault if everyone runs away from the training grounds again/ But make sure that no one runs away from the training grounds again]

Kondou: Oh?

Souji: they all ran away as soon as they saw my face Why is that?

Hijikata: That's because you're way of teaching is extremely bad. Really, your swordsmanship is better than everyone else's/you are one of the best swordsmen, but why are you so incapable? Listen Kondou-san, rather than training other people, this guy loves fighting way more. Everyone was beaten to the point where they could't get up off the ground.

Kondou: Then it's understandable for why the team members are unwilling.

Souji: Ahaha, to speak of being gentle, I really didn't expect those words from the demon vice-commander.

Kondou: What, in fact Toshi is a very gentle man, right, Toshi?

Hijikata: Hn, who knows.

Kondou: That's how it is, be gentle to everyone.

Souji: Yes yes, but, i've really been gentle with everyone. Then I'll be going. Kondou-san, thank you for your hospitality.

Kondou: Ah, I'll be counting on you [tl literally: please requesting you. check audio]

Souji: Yes.

(souji walks away)

Hijikata: Hah, well, never mind that guy.

Kondou: Do you want another cup of tea?

HIjikaa: Ah, another cup.

Kondou: Then I'll have another as well.

Hijikata: Souji's way of teaching is extremely rough/cruel, so it's unclear if he's actually training other people, or using them for himself to practice.

Kondou: That's because he takes what he does for granted/his success for granted, which is why it's impossible for him to understand those who are unable to.

Hijikata: That guy is still a child, he sticks his foot into everything, but always gets bored immediately after.

Kondou: You don't quite understand souji.

Hijikata: everyone will probably run away again [?].

Kondou: If you're worried, you should go and see.

Hijikata: Eh, there's nothing to be done about that/no way around it then, I'll be going then/I'll be going.

Kondou: I'll go too.

Hijikata: No need, Kondou-san you should just stay here and relax.

Kondou: Nn?

Hijikata: It's because you're the face of the Shinsengumi. The trivial matters of the troop, it's best for you not to be involved in them at all, I'll deal with everything.

Kondou: Nn, is that so? I'm sorry.

Hijikata: the tea was verry good. Then I'll see you later.

Kondou:　Oh. It seems that the beauty of sakura has no effect on an oni. Heh. Good grief.
