literally every single character in warrior cats has moments of being an annoying code worshipper. tawnypelt has an entire book about her doubting dovewing’s ability to serve shadowclan because, unlike her, she didn’t Work Hard Enough to earn her place and in the same book she acts appalled that stormfur is happy living in the tribe because she doesn’t know how someone can thrive in a place they weren’t born. firestar who is meant to be the picture of progression and justice chastises leafpaw for sharing resources with riverclan for no other reason than because it’s against the code. the text even points how out he did this exact same thing once and his reply is “yeah well i got punished for it too.” mousefur called a clan gathering solely to complain about how thunderclan has too many outsiders. like at a point it just becomes silly to try and pull out “x character is xenophobic but umm go off” as a gotcha in character discussion in an attempt to prove that a specific character is bad because literally all of the characters in this book series, including the good guys, are xenophobic and the writers see nothing wrong with it. obviously some are worse than others ie berryheart’s entire character arc being based around her disdain for outsiders but saying that sparkpelt is irredeemably evil because she said that skyclan was yucky in one chapter of avos is… silly! sorry
