Christmas Cupcake Frosting Recipes Cupcakes took the entire world by storm - and while not just a new invention - wedding cupcake towers have invaded receptions as being a popular replacement for the wedding cake. Probably probably the most daunting tasks a few must make is choosing wedding cake flavors and fillings - by using cupcakes the possibilities of cake combinations, fillings and decorations are endless. Wedding cupcakes might be elegant, whimsical, or anything involving.
Tumblr media
Although cupcakes have been about for a long cupcake wars period, their originals are controversial. Some point out that cupcakes occurred when people started baking cakes in little teacups. These little teacup cakes didn't take so long as to bake and cooled faster. Some believe that cupcakes were named because the ingredients were measured in cups-one cup of sugar, 2 cups of flour, etc. But even so the cupcake came to exist, these sweet treats make their way into our hearts. What's inside a name? Well, for cupcakes, a lot! Cupcakes go as far back for the 19th Century where these folks were often called "number cakes." These bite-sized cakes were landed according on the quantity of cups necessary for the required ingredients. Another theory for your origin in the cupcake name will be the vessel in which the cakes were baked. Ramekins, tin or small clay cups were said to have contained the primary ingredients for cupcakes upon their initiation. Oddly enough, bakers today still elect to bake these fun treats inside same containers. Keeping gluten-free snacks available can also help someone who has to rush every day, or gets hungry involving meals. There are plenty of healthy, yet tasty snacks because of this diet, including toasted pumpkin or sunflower seeds, all-natural peanut butter on celery, or popcorn. Those with a sweet tooth ought to be relieved to know that gluten-free cupcakes and various gluten-free desserts can be obtained ahead of time and saved for the post-dinner snack.
Tumblr media
There are many boxed cake mixes in many different flavors available. You can also buy available frostings, decorating gels, sprinkles, and other edible goods to embellish your cupcakes. However, if you wish to prepare a combination alone, you will find many cupcake ideas for recipes on the Web. Traditional recipes for cupcake routinely have all purpose flour, saltless butter, white sugar, some eggs, baking powder, salt, vanilla flavoring, and milk. You can add various ingredients for this basic batter the same as blueberries, nuts, chocolate, vegetables, and fruits. Websites that provide cupcake ideas also supply tutorials on how to frost your cakes.

To my almost. :)
It was 2016 when I first had a connection with you. First year tayo non, second semester. Naghahanap ako ng HYDRO Tickets para sa mga friends ko and I saw you posted in a freshie group na you were selling. Nag chat ako sayo sabi ko im interested and pinareserve ko muna. Pero in the end hindi ko na nabili kasi hindi naman kami tutuloy and nabenta mo naman na sa iba. And ayon. we became internet friends. And I was so mesmerized by your appearance, grabe. Hindi ka naman yung typical guy na kapogian and make girls and other gay guys drool or scream. Pero one thing that made me look back is your awesome personality. Yung usapan natin sa chat, I felt very comfortable even though hindi pa tayo nagkikita personally bale virtually crush palang kita non.
Tumblr media
Figure 1.0 First pic na sinend mo sakin. HAHAHAHAHA
Tumblr media
Figure 1.1 2016 palang hubadero ka na pota ka HAHAHAHHA
Tapos diba umamin ako sayo non na crush kita tapos sabi mo may boyfriend ka na, w/c is Sid, i said okay and I bypassed this feelings and moved on. (Really?) Tapos ayun magkausap padin tayo through random times. FB, Twitter, texts, calls, etc.
When First sem starts again second year na tayo non. Hindi parin kita nakikita. Sinabihan mo pa akong cute nung napanood mo ako sa Wish Ko Lang nung segment nung bulag na student sa COC tapos nakita mo ko don lol sabi mo cute ako well ako na to char. Taposl COC Week came, Amazing Race. Blue Team ako non ikaw Green Team. We first interact each other sa main. Naka braid pa buhok mo non and you yelled my name and gave me that sweet smile. I was hardstuck to where I’m standing from that time. Tapos last kami nakatapos ng mga leg don then when we head back to COC andun ka nakatayo sa may puno kina ate Lourdes. Tinawag moko then you hold my hand. I smiled. :) It was the first time we hold hands and I was shocked that time lol pero masaya naman. Then after the event tinext mo ko non e di ko alam kung about saan basta nagtext text tayo non habang nasa byahe ako lol. Tapos palagi kong sinasabi kay ate Jess yung about sayo and kung gaano kita ka crush non that time kasi siya lang kausap ko non nung newbie palang ako
Then everything was fun and awesome ok ok sige friends tayo and all casual lang na paguusap and everything then there’s this day na sabay sabay tayong kumain apat nila Ally and Brit kina ate Lourdes ayun na ata yung last na interaction natin nung 2016 idk, may mga times na nagkikita tayo sa lobby habang nagtetraining kami.
HAHAHA. Super kilig ako non kasi wala lang I love surprises. Tapos ayon, time came when something is happening between you and Jarem and naconfirm lang naming lahat after compet kasi medyo tinatago niyo pa during cheer season. The moment I knew na something is between you two, i said to myself. okay sige. No grudge, I was happy pa nga for the both of you, really, i am! :) It’s kust na very wrong timing lang talaga tayo and siguro mabagal din ako??? I think. Lol nevertheless, i was happy and shipping you both that time. Secretly and lowkey loving you from afar. Ew. And we were still pretty close since then. and even start kissing on the lips like very damn day we meet and parang wala lang sating dalawa. Just like a friendly gesture. Ganun. And I think sakin mo lang ginagawa and kay Kenji ang pagiging kisser mo? Ewan ko.
2 years passed. 2019. It was still okay, yea keeping things flowy and whatsoever. Then on the second half of the year starting from July, I find out na medyo hindi na kayo okay ni Jarem. Sabi ko, “Anong nangyayari sa dalawa? Issues came up, a lot of things going on inside and outside social media, I know some of it but many of them, no because I’m keeping myself away from being involved. Tapos ayun nga, medyo hindi na kayo okay. Tapos palaging naggagala, staying late hours in Cubao, nag chi-chilltop every after weeks even after training days sa pep. Overnight everywhere, talking about stuff, and i mean EVERYTHING kind of stuff.
Tumblr media
Figure 1.3 Wala lang ang cute natin dito so hehehe
Tapos ayun lets jump to this October after compet nung uminom tayo sa Chilltop Lacson to celebrate/mourn our loss sa PUP CLC, naalala ko non we are on the same line of seats pero we are one seat apart nakapagitna kasi satin si Ning, tapos nag CR sila ni Jarem so the seats are vacant and you decided na tumabi sakin. Then during the party you are just so so so sweet and clingy ang dami mong sinasabi sakin na about sa future ko na I’ll do great things and saying that you love me so much makes me feel like, putangina yung puso ko sasabog na sa mga pinagsasabi nitong katabi ko. GANON TALAGA YUNG FEELING, MY MINE! Tapos you are kissing me rin in random times which makes my butterflies in my stomach smother around even harder. Then nung natapos na tayo sobrang bagsak ka na non pota sakin ka pa nagpabuhat sobrang bigat mo, my mine :((( Sabi pa sakin nung katabi nating table non kasi nakasabay natin sila pauwi. “Ingatan mo baby mo ha sweet niyo kanina”. Natawa nalang ako tapos buhat buhat parin ktia non. Tapos nung hiniga na kita sa lapag non and me myself sobrang bagsak na katawan ko and pa black out nadin. Tapos next thing I knew, ayun na. Alam mo na yon. Hindi ko na dito ilalalagay lahat ng nangyari ng gabing yon at ng umagang yon and na-open up ko na sayo yon before and hindi ko na isusulat yon dito kasi I have respect for you, my mine ko! :) And remember that time nung niyaya kita sa MOA kasama sila Rommel Ivan and Jarem pero hindi ka nakapunta, you said sorry and you appreciated my invitation pero u still didn’t chose to come kasi nga yung sa inyo ni Jarem that time. And that was also the time na umamin ako sayo na gustong gusto parin kita maging boyfriend ko. Sobrang tanga ko non kasi ang bad timing pero you were so honest and very transparent na hindi pa pwede kasi you have still high hopes with Jarem and I respect that sinabi ko naman sayo yun diba, my mine? Sabi mo pa nga hintayin kita and you will wait for our time to come and I was glad that you had that kind of mindset kasi pota 3 years na akong nakapila sa puso mo eh hahaha. Pero at the same time,  things are getting harder and harder on me kasi stage 3 na ako sa sakit ko, and I was so sad that time nung inamin ko sa inyong apat non nila Alli Rommel at Mekai and the whole night I was just staring randomly at people thinking about the one of the biggest decision I made, is to let you go, on your birthday.
Tumblr media
Figure 1.4 Skl nilalagyan lang ako ng mga meds sa katawan. DONT BE BOTHERED PLEASE. DI NAMAN YAN CRITICAL ITS JUST NORMAL LOL
Stage 3 Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is way damn hard to explain when you are in the situation, imagine yourself being neutral and not able to express emotions that much, as if you have your limit to do so. My mine, sobrang lungkot ko kasi feeling ko hindi na ako marerecover. Na hanggang dito nalang ako, so I did this decision to cut off ties with you. I’m not telling you na ikaw ang may kasalanan, kasi you aren’t. Wala kang kinalaman sa sakit ko or whoever person involved (eg. our common friends etc). It’s all on me. I’m sorry if ever I made you sad or angry(???). I deserve it. All the hate you can give, sige go. But one things for sure, I will never ever forget you as one of bestest (cuz best is not the right word to describe you lol) people I ever met in my life. Every memories we had and shared will always be inside me and will never vanish, I promise you that. 3 years I loved you more than any people I loved. As I’ve said to you, I tried finding love to other guys out there but I still end up falling in love with you kasi I see myself and imagine myself with you in the future way way more clearer than the others. And it saddens me to do that because you are the best thing happened to me and I chose to cut ties with you on your own birthday... Ang sama ko sa part na yon. Pero i dont know what you felt about that. Well, it doesn’t matter anymore. My mine, I love you always and what ever happens, I’ll still love you even from afar because that is my promise to you remember? :)
Tumblr media
Figure 1.5 Kina kuya Ja to. Cute natin nyakakakakka :)
2020 is fast approaching. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, kakalimutan na kita, my mine. Pero that is the one thing na hindi ko na fullfill. Kasi I can’t and I won’t. I can’t afford to lose every single piece of our great memories just because I have this sickness inside me. Sana when we meet each other ulit somewhere out there, ikikiss mo parin ako, ihuhug mo pari ako, hahawakan mo parin kamay ko, magiging same persons pa rin tayo just like before.
I love you so much, my mine ko! When you finished reading this, I just want you to know na I’m always praying for your safety and for your blessings to come to you and I’m looking forward to see you in your successful self! Isko ka na ulit pero sa UP na. Sobrang nakakatuwa and I’m so indeed happy for you. <3 Super salamat sa lahat ng good and bad memories natin. I appreciate you and your well-being. I’m excited yet nervous when December 31 comes kasi that will be the time when I’ll gice you this blog and siyempre natatakot ako sa kung ano man yung magiging reaction mo. But anyways, ayon lang. Ito na yon. I love you so soooo much, my mine ko! :)

The Five Things You Need to Achieve Your Financial Goals
Given the enormous differences in the financial situations of different people, its easy to buy into the idea that those different stories have very little in common. After all, what exactly does a well-funded investor making his first millions have in common with a single parent with three kids trying to keep the rent paid? While those differences might be important, when I hear those stories, what I look for are the similarities. Their external situations might be really different, but the things that drive those people internally are actually quite similar. In fact, I would argue that there are really only five things that you need to have to achieve your financial goals, regardless of your financial state. They are things that everyone has access to, should they choose to do so. These five elements are present in virtually every financial success story, whether its someone making minimum wage and trying to pay off a student loan or someone trying to make their first million. Here are the five key ingredients I feel everyone needs to succeed at their financial goals. Of course, these ingredients largely hold true for almost every type of goal. Self-Evaluation This is the starting point for setting and achieving any kind of goal. You have to look at yourself and ask two absolutely vital questions: what do I have and what do I want. What do I have? To set any sort of realistic financial goal, you need to start with a realistic picture of where you are at. What are your assets? What things do you possess that have any value? What are your various account balances? What are your debts? What responsibilities and obligations do you have? Do you have a spouse or children or others that rely on you? What skills do you have? How can you apply those skills to make money? How much spare time do you have? What is your health like? Do you have the energy or capacity to work harder? At the same time, you have to have a firm grip on what you want. What is your goal? When do you want to achieve that goal? Is that goal challenging but still within the realm of reality (for example, I might have some sort of career in basketball, but Im never going to be an NBA player)? Is that goal deeply meaningful to you, or is it something someone else wants for you? You cant run a race if you dont know what your starting point is. You cant win a race if you dont know where the finish line is. So often, people take off running without even knowing where the starting line is or the finish line is and they wonder why they cant finish the race. While you might be able to come up with quick, trite answers to all of these questions, the truth is that all of these questions deserve some serious self-reflection, and those questions will lead to more questions. You need to really understand yourself, what you have, and what you want in order to be able to establish a worthwhile challenging goal for yourself, and thats going to take some self-reflection. There are a lot of different methods that people can use for self-reflection. I find journaling to be very powerful. I constantly turn over questions like these when Im journaling and they consistently move me toward better goals and better understanding of who I am, what I want, what I need, and what I should be doing with my time and energy. Whatever method you choose, I encourage you to set aside some time each day to really think through these questions. What do you have? What does your life situation really look like? What do you want out of life? How does all of that translate into some powerful goals that you can actually achieve that will equate to a better life? Planning Planning takes the output of a bunch of self-reflection and turns it into actionable steps that can take you from what you currently have to what you want to have. In other words, planning addresses the question of how do I get from what I have to what I want. Lets say you did some serious self-evaluation of where youre at and what you want and youve decided that a big healthy financial goal for yourself is to achieve debt freedom in three years. The first question you should ask yourself is what can I do this year that will help me achieve that big goal? Maybe its something as straightforward as paying off a quarter of your debt balance, because if you do that in a year, youre going to find it easier and easier to go faster and faster because interest isnt accumulating. This might include some other big step like getting a new job or moving to a less expensive apartment. Okay, then ask yourself what can I do this quarter that will help me achieve those end of the year goals? You might come up with a list of things here. They might be things oriented toward cutting back on your spending, like cutting your cable subscription. You might set a three month goal of getting your resume up to speed and applying to ten jobs that match you well. Maybe a three month goal is to find a cheaper apartment and move, or to find a roommate. Youll probably have a few you should have at least one for every goal you have for the year. Then, what can I do this month that will help me achieve those quarterly goals? Maybe youll simply make a great resume and get it uploaded in a bunch of places. Maybe youll cut your cable. Maybe youll do a serious search for a roommate. Maybe youll clean out your closet and sell off some of that stuff. Maybe youll give yourself a strong thirty day challenge, like cooking all of your meals at home, that will both directly save you money and help you build a skill going forward that will keep saving you money. Great, so what can you do this week to make those big goals for the month a reality? You might look for alternate ways to watch the two or three shows that youre keeping cable around for. Maybe you can ask a friend to look at your current resume and suggest improvements. Maybe you can ask five friends whether theyd be interested in being roommates. Maybe you can make a real meal plan for the week, get all of the ingredients in one shopping trip, and make all of your meals. That leaves us with one final question: what can you do today to make those week-long goals a reality? Just pick two or three things. Make a meal plan and a grocery list and head to the grocery store. Find your resume and send it to a good friend asking for advice on updating it. Call up a friend and see if theyd be interested in being a roommate. Each day, ask yourself to come up with two or three things that you can do today to make those week-long goals a reality. Then, do them. Make them a priority. Get them done before you flop on the couch to watch Netflix or look at your phone. Each week, do a bigger review. Make sure you finished up (or made good progress on) your plans and goals for the week, and set new ones for the next week. If its the start of the month, do it for the monthly goals. If its the start of a quarter, do it for the quarterly goals. If its the start of a year, do it for the yearly goals. (I do this on Sunday morning, usually.) Thats what planning is all about. Youe got your goal, so what does that break down to? Keep breaking it down until its some short tasks on your to-do list for the day, and then keep coming back to the goal asking yourself whats next. There will come a time with a lot of financial goals where there isnt something active to do, and thats fine, as long as youre not actually letting down your big goals by not doing anything. Thats when some of the other elements below come into play more than ever. Self-Control You have to be able to stop yourself from fulfilling desires, because desires are endless. You will always want something. There will always be a treat that you desire or that you think you deserve. This isnt easy. Our own internal voice makes it difficult. The pressures of society make it difficult. The nudging of our social circle can make it difficult. Yet it can be overcome. I think there are different answers to these problems for everyone, and so I cant always comment on what might work for you when it comes to figuring out self-control over the things you desire. All I can really point to is what worked best for me. First of all, I started evaluating literally everything I spent money on. Did I really need this thing? Was there a lower cost version that would have met that need, if there was a real need involved? If it was just fulfilling a desire, did I really get anything lasting out of that purchase? For many months, I went through every single credit card statement and every single bank statement and every single receipt and asked myself those questions about every single purchase. Every time I ever feel even a little out of whack financially, I go back to this and walk through those statements, asking myself those questions. But these things are so small! I would often think this very thought about a little splurge. Surely a dollar here and a dollar there cant make a difference, right? Its so tiny! Well, a pebble is tiny, too, but you cant expect to walk a marathon with a pebble in your shoe. With every step, the pebble will rub against your feet and eventually you arent making any progress any more. The next thing I did is that I started strongly questioning every desire. Every time I wanted to buy something, I would ask myself why I wanted to buy it. Why? What purpose did it serve? Would I get any lasting enjoyment out of this? Couldnt I get a similar pleasure out of other things I had available? Was this just something I was buying to make myself feel better about something else in my life i.e., retail therapy and wouldnt I be better off just addressing that something directly? What I found is that an awful lot of my desires were justified by the weakest and silliest and flimsiest of reasons, reasons that would fall apart very quickly if I allowed myself to question my reasoning. (Thats important, and Ill come back to it soon enough.) So, if I got into a routine of always questioning the reasoning for a purchase and I was willing to allow myself to recognize the silliness of some of my impulses, the number of non-essential purchases would just drop through the floor. If youre familiar with Buddhism, youll probably recognize this as having a lot in common with the eightfold path. Theyre both driving at the same thing: desires are often the source of a lot of misery in our lives, whether we fulfill them or not. Figuring out that most of our desires are pretty useless nips them in the bud and eventually kills them off entirely. Self-control is a challenging thing and sometimes youre going to fail. What happens then? Grit Grit is the fourth essential ingredient you need to achieve financial goals. Its a willingness to recognize your mistakes and learn from them. Its a willingness to pick yourself up when life knocks you down. Its getting back on board with a plan when something knocks you off of it. The reality is that at some point during your progress toward your financial goal, something is going to happen that knocks you off your gameplan. It can be something completely out of left field, it might be something you should have planned for, it could even be your own foolishness. Whatever it happens to be, it either strongly tempts you or it knocks you completely off your game. Youre no longer cruising right toward your destination. You might feel like that destination is in doubt. You probably feel frustrated. You might feel ashamed. Its awful. Trust me, Ive been there. Many of us have been there. The question is whether or not youre willing to pick yourself up and keep moving forward toward that goal. If youre not willing to do that, then you dont have grit. Youre not going to achieve major goals in life if youre not willing to stand back up when things dont go perfectly. According to the wonderful book Grit by Angela Duckworth, there are four key elements to grit: Step one: Identify a burning passion. Step two: Practice it with commitment. Step three: Find inner purpose in your work. Step four: Persevere when things get hard. If you have a deeply meaningful goal, you have that burning passion and inner purpose. If you have a plan that youre reviewing and working toward daily, you have that commitment. What about perseverance when things are hard? Ive found a couple things that help here. First, automate as much of your plan as you can during the early stages. That way, when things go awry later on, much of your plan will just keep on trucking when your focus is elsewhere. Set up automatic savings plans and automatic contributions to retirement. Second, have an emergency fund that you can tap when things go sideways. My preferred method for this is to set up a weekly automatic transfer from your checking account to your savings account $10 or $20 or whatever you can afford. Then, just let it roll. When an emergency strikes, tap that emergency fund first. Youll find that a lot of emergencies just melt away and dont actually hurt your progress. Finally, think about what went wrong and incorporate what you learn into some revisions to your plan. Why did things get out of whack? That takes you right back to the self-reflection part of the equation. Reflect deeply on what went wrong and what needs to change to ensure that you dont make that mistake again. Youll likely alter your plans, at least a little, and thats a good thing. Theres just one final ingredient. Patience Most personal finance goals are marathons rather than sprints. The goal youre aiming for is years and years down the road and there are times when it seems impossibly far in the distance. Patience is the key to success in those situations. You have to be able to accept that the big success you want wont happen tomorrow or the day after. Rather, it only happens after a long sequence of little successes, many of which will basically be invisible to you in terms of your day to day life. This is very hard for humans. Were genetically predispositioned to not think in the long term. Rather, were short-term thinkers. We think about the day ahead and the week ahead and perhaps the month ahead, but beyond that, it gets kind of nebulous. It becomes this vague sense of the future. Sure, well do things that we know we need to do now because they are necessary for future endeavors, but unless its a really clear direct payoff, most of us will procrastinate or not worry about it. The urgent almost always trumps the important. So, how can you help yourself be patient when it comes to a long-term goal? One good method is to look at the little successes that youre achieving due to marking off those short-term daily and weekly goals. How many days this month did you eat at home? How many of your weekly goals did you knock out? Those are the metrics you should be looking at. Focus on those things and the big goal will become an inevitability. Another strategy is, as suggested earlier, to automate as much of your financial plan as you can. That way, during the long stretches where your patience is being tested, much of your plan is on autopilot and doesnt require any active decision making. A final technique, one that works particularly well for me, is to constantly refresh that long-term vision. On a very regular basis often weekly I think about my long-term goals and what my life will be like when I achieve them. I intentionally dive deep into my goals and try to visualize what some aspect of my life will be like at that point. Ill imagine Sarah and I, slightly older, camping in the Shenandoah National Forest. Ill imagine myself writing a novel somewhere. Ill imagine myself feeding a grandchild a spoonful of baby food. For me, its those details often unique ones that keep the overall goal alive and help me maintain my patience. Final Thoughts Self-evaluation. Planning. Self-control. Grit. Patience. Those are the elements of success no matter what your financial situation might be and no matter what your financial goals might be. If you bring all five of those elements to bear in order to improve your financial state, youll find that your goals move from being impossible pipe dreams to being achievable (though still challenging) ambitions. Good luck! Read more by Trent Hamm: https://www.thesimpledollar.com/the-five-things-you-need-to-achieve-your-financial-goals/

Will LED push out projection?
https://www.ledscreenparts.com/
Tumblr media
Exhibitors are dabbling in a host of new technologies and applications, from direct-view LED displays to VR gaming. Tim Kridel explores why — and how – they could create opportunities for AV firms to expand into the cinema market.
On March 22, Zurich’s Arena Cinemas will become the first European theatre — and one of just a handful in the world — with a direct-view LED screen.
It’s an ironic milestone: LED technology enables the big yet affordable TVs that have cut into theatre admissions, which declined 6% over the course of 2017, according to the National Association of Theater Owners. But now LED technology could give exhibitors another tool for making and saving money.
Arena uses Samsung Electronics’ Cinema LED Screen, which is nearly 10.3 meters wide, supports 4K and has a peak brightness level of 146 foot-lamberts (fL). The world’s first Cinema LED installation was in July 2017 at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul. Sony is among the other vendors developing direct-view LED displays for cinema applications.
“It is possible that our future complexes will be Cinema LED-only installations,” says Edi Stöckli, Arena Cinemas’ owner. “We will test our installation and see what other benefits we get. For the moment the price is very high, as all new technologies are at the beginning.”
“It is possible that our future complexes will be Cinema LED-only installations.”
Deploying a direct-view LED display is a lot different than replacing one projection technology with another projection technology.
For starters, LED doesn’t require a projection booth. That space could be used to generate additional revenue, such as premium seating.
Arena Cinemas converted its booth into a private lounge.
“Cinema LED is the future of the cinemas,” Stöckli says. “The digital projector was a step, but it is still a projector with all its technical limits. This technology needs much less power, less cooling and lives much longer than a projector.”
5 tons and 10 times the cost
Depending on the theatre, an LED screen might incur higher installation costs compared to projection.
“The LED screens weigh 5 tons, so you have to build a cinema a hell of a lot stronger,” says David Hancock, IHS Markit director of research and analysis for cinema and home entertainment.
“The cost of a direct-view LED screen is estimated to be up to 10 times the cost of a typical perforated screen,” says Mark Mayfield, QSC director of global cinema marketing. “But there is no projector, so that could be a wash.”
LED is a new technology not only for exhibitors, but also for the specialised integrators serving the cinema vertical? So it’s possible that LED could create an opportunity for traditional AV firms to expand into cinema.
“It’s far more common in the commercial AV world in applications like outdoor digital signage,” Mayfield says.  “On the other hand, commercial AV integrators generally have little experience in the nuances of the cinema industry. So there is likely to be some cross pollination, potentially leading to another type of technology convergence.”
LED also could enable cinemas in new locations or breathe life into struggling ones.
“Direct-view screens can create a much brighter image with significantly higher contrast ratios,” Mayfield says. “They could potentially revitalise drive-in or outdoor cinema, and even make it possible to show movies in daylight or indoors in full lighting.”
Like laser projection, LED displays also could spur more 3D ticket sales by alleviating the brightness problem that meant an underwhelming experience with older technologies. But audio has to be addressed to avoid becoming the new weak link for both 3D and 2D.
“A solid direct-view screen removes the option of placing sound sources where they create the most realistic image-to-picture localisation: placing speakers behind the screen is no longer feasible,” Mayfield says. “So we have to develop new methods and potentially, new technologies to create that sense of accurate localisation.”
“A solid direct-view screen removes the option of placing sound sources where they create the most realistic image-to-picture localization: placing speakers behind the screen is no longer feasible.”
All of these factors have some industry watchers speculating that LED will fundamentally change the types of technologies, companies and venue designs in the cinema space. “LED has the potential to be a genuine disruptor of the business,” Hancock says.
Out with the old? Not so fast Direct-view displays come on the heels of two other formats and technologies generating buzz: high frame rate (HFR) and 4K.
“HFR has not appeared to go over well with general audiences,” says Dan Cofer, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema technical director.  “I doubt we will see a huge push for that in the future. Also, there are not many releases in 4K, and it’s unclear if there is demand for it beyond the cinephile audience. We are currently looking at laser projection and direct display (such as the Sony C-LED) though mainly for premium large-format (PLF) screens at this point, as it is cost-prohibitive to retrofit existing installations.”
Meanwhile, some older formats are holding their ground.
“There has been a resurgence of interest in older formats such as 35 mm and 70 mm, and we are actively installing equipment for those formats in our theatres,” says Kimberly Sandel, manager for private and community events for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema’s Austin, Texas, market.  “Seventy millimetre was once thought to be a dying art, but now more and more blockbuster titles are being released with 70 mm prints.” Virtual reality (VR) is another question mark. So far, it’s been a niche play.
“You’re not getting VR in the cinema auditorium,” Hancock says. “It’s more of a side thing: maybe a VR pod with 10 units in the foyer. It’s designed to complement the cinema experience, [such as] with games, trailers and stuff like that. It’s not challenging the cinema.”
For instance, VR game systems in the lobby could promote films in the hope of getting players to buy a ticket.
“This can be a good tool to keep visitors in the lobby longer and generate more concessions sales,” says Till Cussmann, CinemaNext vice president.
Like many exhibitors, Alamo Drafthouse is waiting to see if and how filmmakers embrace VR.
“We have done lobby installs for VR demos during our film festival Fantastic Fest,” Sandell says. “VR is definitely growing as a medium for filmmakers, so I expect we will see more demand for it in the future.”
But other exhibitors question whether VR will ever have a place in the auditorium.
“VR is a technology for individual use,” Stöckli says. “We sell collectivity in our theatres: the togetherness of movie-goers, sharing the same emotion at the same time.” Multi-player gaming is a form of togetherness.
“Gaming is indeed a growing market for cinemas,” Cussmann says. “Organising gaming sessions or tournaments in a cinema auditorium is technically easy to do, but it needs quite a lot of marketing and organisational skills and resources that not all exhibitors have in-house. This is why third-party event agencies are getting quite often involved in those sessions.”
Meetings at the movies For years, some exhibitors rented out their auditoriums for non-film events, such as all-hands business meetings. Flat or declining ticket sales have increased interest in rentals.
“The LED screens weigh 5 tons, so you have to build a cinema a hell of a lot stronger.”
“It’s clearly a growing market,” Cussmann says. “With digital projection  and  sound  equipment, you can easily show any kind of content, from live events to recorded content: opera, ballet, sports, expos, red carpet, teleseries, etc.”
The opportunity varies based on several factors, starting with the theatre’s location. “There are relatively few that can do it: city-centre cinemas [in] big cities, business centres,” Hancock says.
Exhibitors also are competing with specialised theatres such as those in museums and other cultural attractions.  Those “institutional theatres,” as they’re sometimes called, have cachet that helps attract event organisers and attendees.
“There’s no cachet with going to an event at the mall [multiplex],” says Derek Threinen, vice president of film distribution and business development at Giant Screen Films / D3D Cinema, which specialises in the institutional market.
Sales staff is another competitive factor.
“The institutional theatres are the ones that perfected that game 20 years ago,” Threinen says. “They have a distinct advantage over the multiplex theatres with regard to having dedicated sales staff. They’re already selling these venues.”
But as the cinema rental market matured, businesses have launched to help exhibitors go after non-film opportunities.
“Companies like Fathom Events have a huge offer for alternative content and help also to market it to the right audience,” Cussmann says. “The main challenge today is to connect the right audience to the right content without having the exhibitor bearing too much risk that the auditoriums are empty and that he loses revenue compared to regular movie screenings.
So the evolution from classical cinemas towards visual entertainment centre has started and will continue to change the landscape.
“Gaming sessions, business conferences and other events are part of this change, and every decent cinema chain has today a corporate sales or event department that markets those new activities. This is not a temporary trend but will be part of the future business of a movie theatre.”
Event organisers also look at whether a theatre can support a variety of AV inputs, such as wireless mics, laptops and Skype feeds.
“The majority of current digital projector setups these days come equipped to handle most outputs,” Sandel says. “We just know when building venues to include front-of-house connections. Having state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment is really the most important part when marketing a venue even for non-film events.
“We are currently looking at laser projection and direct display though mainly for premium large-format screens at this point, as it is cost-prohibitive to retrofit existing installations.”
“Another nice addition we like to include, but cannot always accommodate, is power outlets near the seats. This is incredibly useful for day-long conferences where attendees may need to charge various devices.” Direct-view LED displays also could help cinemas go after the non-film market.
“With this new technology, auditoriums can be screening content with full ambient light on without any compromise on quality,” Cussmann says.
Shaking up the market For years many institutional theatres have offered 4D technologies, such as seats that move and bursts of scents. Now cinemas are increasingly adding 4D to spur ticket sales.
“We’re trying to get people back into the habit of going to the theatres again,” says CEO Byung-Hwan Choi, CEO of CJ 4DPLEX, whose 4DX systems are in over 400 theatres in 50 countries. “We see enhanced cinema experiences as the first big step in achieving that: to create an atmosphere that can only be available in theatres. Not to just sit back and watch a movie, but to really experience it, to be immersed in it.”
For example, CJ 4DPLEX’s ScreenX platform gives audiences a 270 degree view.
“Think about seeing a film like ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ where you can experience scenes as if you’re surrounded by the waves and the sea,” Choi says. “It’s really something to experience, and there’s nothing like this out there on the market. We like to try and keep ahead of the curve.”
One way is by adapting technologies from other verticals, such as theme parks. If that strategy is successful, it’s another potential way for AV firms in those verticals to expand into the cinema market.
“We have developed our own 4DX VR technology that’s currently featured in theme parks and arcades around the world,” Choi says.
“The VR world is an interesting, growing industry which with we want to keep up. We’re always on the lookout for interesting collaboration projects, specifically in the gaming and alternative content field.”

If not my surname or my husband’s, could we call our child after a New Zealand volcano?
Franki Cookney and her husband didnt much like one another surnames, so now theyre having a baby theyve are determined to pick a brand-new one
When my husband, Rob, and I wedded last year, the question of what to do about our surnames scarcely participated our discussions. We are both writers, so our identifies are on every piece of work we do. That we would impede our own seemed a demonstrated. There was just one niggling mistrust. What would happen if we had children?
I had always had considered that we would just protrude both our reputations on birth certificates credential, but I knew this didnt quite resolve the problem. Whose call would go first? And which appoint would end up being used?
We could use a double-barrel identify, but didnt seem our surnames, Cookney and Davies, lent themselves to hyphenation. Whichever prescribe you have selected, the result is clunky and we were reluctant to saddle a child with it.
We could have just chosen whichever refer sounded best with our newborn given name. But in that scenario, one mother purposes up not sharing a surname with their child and neither of us missed that. Plus, Id listened too many narratives of mothers being agreed upon at airfield insurance because the epithets on their passports didnt competitor that of their children.
The conventional alternative of taking my husbands surname was never on the table. Fairly apart from the feminist principle of not was intended to relinquish my identity for his, I wasnt keen on the reputation. Rob supported this and was by no means offended. The misfortune was, he wasnt a fan of my name either. Its just a bit cumbersome, he said. Its virtually Cockney but not quite. Youre incessantly having to spell it out. We looked at our moms maiden mentions and our grandparents names but always ceased up back in the same plaza, feeling that it wasnt equal, that picking one side of their own families over another wasnt fair.
We hit on the idea of taking a brand-new name about a year ago when before our wed we went to write our wills. As we chatted to one of the attorneys, it transpired that he and his wife had done exactly this. Theres a fair bit of admin, but its good, it makes, he said , nod decisively. Unexpectedly, it didnt seem so preposterous. This wasnt some foolish rebellion or bohemian pretentiousness, this was something lawyers did!
We mooted it with pals, who were largely unfazed. What refer will you go for? was the thing they were most strange about. Good topic. Could we blend the letters of our identifies and develop something new, we amazed. Rosters were reached: Dents, Cave, Devine, Kinsey, Dacovnicks Cookies? Nothing of them fairly hit the mark.
As our wedding depicted nearer, we employed the appoint activity on a back burner. But when I became pregnant 3 months later, we were forced to look at developments in the situation afresh and decided to change tacking. How about a home? I recommended. Somewhere weve saw that we cherished. A backpacking stint before we got married had left us with batch to choose from but most sounded reasonably odd when attributed to a couple of ordinary Brits. Rob and Franki Tongariro owned a certain verve, but naming yourself after a New Zealand volcano would be ridiculous. And Zhangjiajie might make remembers of dazzling Chinese mountains, but imagine having to incantation it every time you booked a whisker appointment or called your internet provider. For a while Salento and Chaltn were on the schedule, after places available in Colombia and Argentina. But we werent convinced we are to be able pull off the patently Latino-sounding former and supposed the latter would result in a lifetime of chastising people who pronounced it Charlton.
Then Rob said, What about Stone Town? The beautiful old-fashioned town of Zanzibar City is where he had asked me to marry him. It instantly appeared right. Stone was straightforward but significant. It chimed good with both our first name and after a few weeks of trying it on with other reputations would work well with almost anything we chose for our baby. It was perfect: a solid name( with a potential for puns that was not failed on us) that felt like a constructive solution to our problem. We would keep our original surnames for undertaking and accept this new last name for our personal lives.
By law, all you need to do to change your reputation is, well, change it. Simply accepting and using your brand-new epithet is enough. Modernizing your accountings and accounts, nonetheless, requires a document of proof such as a union credential or, in our case, a deed poll. There is no official space of acquiring a deed ballot. You can write one yourself expending free templates from the internet, but shortfall of lucidity about the relevant procedures develops in some institutions demanding an original credential despite the fact that no such happen dwells. You can either fight it out or you can do what we did and pay 15 -2 0 for a company such as the Deed Poll Office to draw up the word on your behalf and periodical and stomp it on watermarked newspaper. Passed the roll of bodies and organisations you have to notify and the health risks statements over what constitutes an original certificate, this seemed a reasonable compromise.
Perhaps it was naive, but we didnt expect to meet with resistance. Uncertainty, perhaps. Intrigue, for certain. When it is necessary to getting married, we had trenched almost every institution proceeding, prohibiting the matrimony itself, and no one had wondered us. Surely this too would be seen as a modern updated information on an outdated habit. But where reference is announced our decided not to our families, the reaction was mixed.
Franki and Rob. Photograph: Christian Sinibaldi for the Guardian
While they understood our quagmire, the common refrain was that the child would lose the connection to its family history. Try as I might, I cant know what this is. To me, family history moves far deeper than ones refer. Its in accordance with the rules “were living”, our values, the gumption and shared event passed down through generations. It is part of the storytelling our parents did and its in the legends we, more, will tell and the beliefs we will share.
Our roots are not in our calls, they are in our natures. My grandmother, whose surname was Jones, is important to me not because of her reputation but because of her love. My great-grandmother, a midwife I never even encountered, let alone shared a name with, forms a part of my feel of identity. Why? Because of the road my own mother talks about her, because of the pictures she has painted in my head of that life, that family, that time.
Interestingly, the mention itself has also testified a sticking point, with a few people commenting that its bearing. Youre doing this really unusual thing but youve picked a really ordinary mention, said one colleague, as though by doing something different we are obliged to go the whole hog and announce ourselves Rob and Franki Thundercats.
In fact, the accessibility of the figure was something we reckoned would be used sell the idea. It is about to change “were in” naive there, too. My baby, a former primary school teacher, insisted that someone called Stone would be taunted. Another relative describing him as a dead weight of a name.
In my experience, children will come up with nicknames no matter what. I wasted often of my school years known as Franki Cookie while my first name was regularly elongated to Frankenstein, Frankincense or Frankfurter.
Never tell people your call options in advance, advised one pal( too late ). Its as if telling people in advance is inviting a exchange or consultation!
While my familys notions apparently matter to me, I suspect she might be right. Eventually, this is our decision, based on our requires, and I hope they will come to see it as a practical and positive step , not an irresponsible one.
Its almost impossible to get everyone on board, lawyer another friend, who changed her surname by deed poll in 2004. The project upset my granny but my dad, her son, understood. When I marriage my husband, he took my reputation. Im still not sure two brothers was 100% behind us, but when we had our first son, he was the first to be born into our empire. Im so excited that we are the first in our tree!
This is exactly how I seem. I love the idea that our child will be born into this new, specifically opted and carefully thought-out family name. And if one day he or she decides to change it either to something new or to one of our old-time family name we will fully support that.
Even when you change names, lineage going to be able be traced and, if nothing else, I like to think we will be looked back on as all those people who tried something new; who instead of preparing do with an unsatisfactory place, remembered creatively about how to solve it. Thats a family bequest Im glad with.

How To Generate and Outreach To More Leads
You’ve got the trends, you know who you want to target, and you have the demographics figured out: your buyer persona is clear in your mind.
Now it’s time to get a process in place and to start outreaching to your audience.
If you don’t have your audience research done yet, go back to How To Do Market And Competitor Analysis For Your B2B Business.
Here’s a video from the Marketing Automation Network where we talk about this topic with Simon from Northstar Consulting.
— Video Coming Soon —
Key Points:
Define your prospecting goal and message for your target audience
Prepare your LinkedIn profile for selling your solutions
Use LinkedIn’s Advanced Search and Groups, as well as LeadFuze, Prospecting.io, or Klenty to make your audience list.
Find anyone’s email address and outreach to them via email and IM
Craft the right messages for your audience and build a compelling call to action
Close your outreach and convert a prospective client into a lead or a customer
When I was 18, I read Bill Gallagher’s book, Guerrilla Selling, and was fascinated by the strategies of cold calling and techniques for getting a meeting.
To be honest, all of that doesn’t work anymore – this is 2017, not 1992. Cold calling and just popping in to a corporate office is annoying and slow.
We run our businesses online, so we need to embrace online social networks. Business owners are much more flexible working with someone over the Internet, and this opens a new way of doing marketing and sales.
In this chapter, we will be exploring LinkedIn as the main source of prospecting and reaching out to our potential clients.
In the previous chapter, we researched our market and buyer persona, so we now have a clear picture of who our buyer persona is and who we need to target.
Our next chapter will be all about the content we create for your buyer persona, what you should reach out with, and what that value is that you bring to them.
Before we get there, let’s discover how to use LinkedIn for prospecting and outreaching to them via email or IM.
Define The Goals Of Your Prospecting Efforts
Before starting the whole process, ask yourself:
What do you want your prospective client to do after they receive your email?
Do you want to meet with them in person?
Are you offering a free consultation or a free demo?
Do you want to invite them to a webinar? Or do you want to drive them to the latest blog post or guide that you wrote?
Ask yourself: What value do you bring with the email that you want to send out?
And only after you have all the answers can you start your outreaching.
Tailor Your LinkedIn Profile To Your Buyer Persona
Firstly, prepare your LinkedIn profile and use it like a landing page, as this is what all prospective clients are going to see before replying to your messages.
Make the headline talk to your audience and point out who you want to help, what you can help them with, and how you can do it.
You need to tell your audience how you will be able to help them.
See my example below:
Here is another great LinkedIn headline, which answers all 3 of these questions. The person provides tech services, for the SMB market, by being a virtual CIO. All of the most important questions that any potential client might have are answered in just one headline.
Virtual CIO: Providing expert technology services (Information Security, IT Operations, IT Strategy) for the SMB market
TIP Think of your LinkedIn headline as if it were your landing page headline. This means that you need to put in a lot of copywriting effort and constantly polish it up. Test it and see if you get more profile views.
Next is your summary, which is where you want to tell your audience more about your USPs.
My last point would be to make sure that you get a few testimonials onto your profile from co-workers, partners, and clients.

LinkedIn Prospecting Hack Using LeadFuze and Klenty
Your LinkedIn profile is updated and you know who you want to target, so it’s now time to start prospecting.
Jump into the video below to see how I do it using LinkedIn prospecting tools likes LeadFuze and Klenty (but there are more tools out there).
— Video coming soon —
LinkedIn Prospecting With LeadFuze
Head over to LeadFuze.com and sign yourself up for a trial account. This tool has been created for 3 purposes: prospecting via LinkedIn, finding emails, and outreach automation.
Awesome TIP: I recommend using F6S.com’s deal for LeadFuze, where you’ll get 500 + 4,000 verified emails with this awesome offer if you pay for at least 1 month. That’s 4,500 verified emails for $250. And you can now use LeadFuze to automate your outreaching. That should be more than enough to boost your prospecting and find new clients.
Now, if you don’t want to pay that money again for the second month, this is how you can leverage LeadFuze (you can do this even after the trial period, there’s no need to even pay for the first month).
I use LeadFuze to perform Boolean searches to find prospective clients fast on LinkedIn.
On LeadFuze, click on “find leads”  and start filtering your prospects. As soon as you click on “search for leads”, you’ll get a Google Boolean search.
You can select the role, industry, and location, and you can also exclude particular keywords.
The results you’ll receive will only be LinkedIn profiles.
See the functionality I use below.
As soon as you click on “search for leads”, you’ll get a Boolean search like this:
(“Marketing Manager” OR “Director of Marketing” OR “CMO” OR “Chief Marketing Officer” OR “Vice President of Marketing” OR “VP of Marketing” OR “VP Marketing”) (“Business Supplies and Equipment” OR “Building Materials” OR “Banking” OR “Biotechnology”) -intern, -assistant site:de.linkedin.com/in/ OR site:de.linkedin.com/pub/ -site:http://ift.tt/2rFGMTG -site:ca.linkedin.com
I have the role, the industry, any keywords to exclude, and the websites to search on.
Great, now you can start adding people to your list of connections. Just make sure that you customise the connection invitation and that you select “friend” when it asks you how you know that contact.
You can do the same by using LinkedIn’s Advanced Search, however, I just find that method longer when I am searching for specific positions in specific countries.
LinkedIn Prospecting With Klenty
Here is what you can do with Klenty’s free account. You can get hundreds of LinkedIn prospects in no time and even export them into an Excel file for free.
Later on, I’ll show you how you can find anyone’s email address.
First of all, install Klenty’s Chrome Extension and start an Advanced Search in LinkedIn.
On the results page, select the locations (cities) you want to target and click on the “prospect all” button.
You’ll import the whole list into Klenty, and then within Klenty, you’ll be able to export it into an Excel file and start finding people’s email addresses so that you can prepare for outreaching.
If you choose to pay for Klenty, you won’t need to export or use any other email outreaching tool, as you can do everything with this tool or connect it with other CRM software.
Make a list of your prospects, segment them based on your customer avatars, and then start your outreaching.
Find Anyone’s Email Address For Free
If you are using any LinkedIn prospecting tools, you’ll easily be able to find your prospects’ email addresses.
To do this, I am using a few free tools. When I have many emails to find though, I outsource it.
Use LeadFuze or Klenty to save time when doing your email prospecting as they have built-in email finders. With the LeadFuze offer available from F6S.com, you’ll get 4,500 verified listed emails for $250.
If you can’t afford LeadFuze or Klenty, here is how to do it manually.
Create an account on Hunter.io, and you’ll get 150 email requests for free (which is not bad).
Now, it is very easy to use it.
Add the free Chrome Extension, go onto any website, and click on the small email hunter logo on your Chrome tab
Here’s how:
You can use the same process on any LinkedIn Profile and you’ll get a confidence score too.
Similar to Email Hunter, you have FindAnyEmail and ContactOut.
Now, just test an email address with Rapportive or FullContact. Install one of the two Chrome Extensions, and go onto Gmail and compose an email. If you’re using Rapportive, on the left, you’ll see all of the social profiles of the recipient if they use the email address you found on a social network.
Personally, I like to use Full Contact. I can just enter the email address and get all of the details about the contact.
I can now connect with my prospective clients on LinkedIn and any other social networking platform, which is a very important step before sending out any emails. You’ll see why in the email outreaching section.
I would recommend outsourcing this task if you have a lot of emails that you need to prospect.
You can use Fiverr or Mechanical Turk for this kind of work.
