SOMETHING about holding your dead gay lover in your arms hysterically and sobbing and charged by their last wish that you live on. This is about Merthur and Hamratio btw.

I’m so glad that myhouse.wad has led to a sudden rise in interest about House of Leaves, everyone needs to read my favorite experimental book that has taken over my life.
I also know that people are mainly getting into the book because they know the book features ever-changing architectural horror, so I can’t wait for when they come across the first instance of Johnny Truant describing how he had sex with a girl in detail. the first of many derailments
Marine 2: Sshh, lower your voice! I think we're thinking the same thing, but... most importantly, since when...?
Marine 1:
Marine 2:
Marine 3:
Marine 1: Teenager already, huh...
Marine 2: ...I feel old...
Marine 1: [nudging with elbow] You don't have the rights to say that. Imagine being him, dude...
Marine 3:
Marine 3: Are you two seriously considering THE Roronoa Zoro to be Mihawk's biological kid instead of his disciple or apprentice...? They don't even look alike!
the way qcharlie holds onto flippa like a lifeline makes me feel sick. the code spreads through physical contact, his arms were the first to get corrupted. he sleeps next to her in her bed every night because he's so scared of losing her, it slowly spread up to his shoulders where her arms wrap around him when they hug. he has to make sure she's alive and real and there and not a dream so he is constantly holding her and reassuring her (or himself, in a cruel way) that it's okay and he's here and she's here and they're TOGETHER again. not even his own shitty parenting and misclicks that he's so scared she secretly hates him for could come between that. she's a safety blanket that slowly corrupts him and makes him feel more numb and the pin and needles spread and its so bad for him but she's okay she's alive. she's there and in his arms. something something the code protects him through harming him. something something he is always holding onto flippa. something something he never really learned to let go. something something her remains cover him everywhere he held her, like a blanket keeping him somehow grounded while he's as far away from reality as possible.
"you know, um, that reminds me, y'know, i was writing in the notebook, and um, i realized something, that this was the first tour- probably beyond tours, like, even going, like, on business trips and stuff- that i opened the fucking blinds and the shades in the room and let the sun in. [crowd cheers] hotels are a really dark place for a lot of people, i feel, at least. you know, and being on the road for so long, and away from your loved ones, and stuff like that, y'know, especially danger days was really fuckin' dark, and um. so i would get- this is what i would do. i'd go into a hotel room, and i'd fucking barricade myself in. i would put the do not disturb sign on, id put the deadbolts on and all the other shit. (that's right, yes, that's what i said, yes, thats what im telling you.) so then i would um, and then i would keep it dark as fuck and cold as shit. and sit and lay in the dark. missing my family. and we all miss our families. but lots of stuff, lots of depression stuff, stuff everybody deals with, you know what i mean? but there were a very dark place, and some people don't make it out of hotel rooms. but not this fucking tour. [crowd cheers] the fuckin' SHADES WILL OPEN, and the SUNLIGHT WILL COME IN."
