not to be an asshole but sometimes i feel like the context of a piece of art should be trigger warning enough. like “this was written in the early 2010s about internet culture, its ableist as hell” or “this was written in 1897 in england, everything is racist.”

Oliver was forward tonight, more eager than his usual bratty reluctance, crawling onto Raum’s lap with taunts and promises. The words gave Raum pause before their lips even made contact, and he took Oliver’s chin between his fingers to stop him.

“Is that so?” An amused huff falling against the lower half of Oliver’s face, Raum hesitated, remaining close enough that he could practically count the other man’s eyelashes if he needed.

“I don’t recall asking what you wanted.” His words were petty in nature, yet the tone of his voice was overlaid with a certain kind of affection. Raum leaned forward slightly to brush their lips together. Gentle, fleeting.

“This is what I want,” he whispered, and did it again, this time cupping Oliver’s face in his palms. He knew the internal rule Oliver had with his clients. The only one. The most important one. And he knew that every time he allowed Raum to kiss him, Oliver broke it for him.

He had grown to understand the way it made him feel, a kind of flood of sensations that would enter his mind ; that he was someone important, superior, esteemed, special, familiar, favourite—

His breath quickened and Raum used one arm to drag the other man’s body to his, to kiss him again, more insistently. His thumb drifted to Oliver’s lips to coax open his mouth for something deeper, hotter, teasing his tongue along the seam of Oliver’s bottom lip.

He wanted to to take his time. To kiss Oliver until he couldn’t think straight — to steal all of his breath until he was stupid. Yes, that was how he would like him, with not a single other thought in his head but for Raum.

After all, he didn’t want to be alone in that feeling.
