Love thinking about Bakugou and Tomura interacting because I feel like there's multiple possibilities with how it could go. I'm talking the kind of interaction where they are together in a room with others for some reason (optional) and they have to have something going on between them. On one hand, Bakugou could bring up the kidnapping, get pissed and threaten him (smthg smthg "I've got unfinished business with that bastard") while Tomura just ignores him (smthg smthg "you aren't on my radar anymore"). On the other hand, Tomura could find his anger amusing and rile him up, thus making the situation worse for the people around them (Izuku and All Might probably). Or they both ignore each other, with Bakugou probably throwing him Looks every now and then
When I think about any of these options, the only thing that stays true to The Vision, if just for the shits and giggles alone, is Tomura and Bakugou eventually bonding over talking shit about AFO. And maybe also Izuku's reckless kind heart

Tomura Shigaraki x Male Reader
Warnings : Belt play, breath play, overstimulation, masochism, light sadism (but its just Y/N enjoying the other kinks and enjoying giving them to Shigaraki)
Tumblr media
Idk why he gives me so much inspo, I swear I have other fics in the works like Mezo and Tamaki - I swear😭
Today's Tomura's Vibe song has to be Animal by Mindless Self Indulgence.
Powerbottom Y/N
THIRD PERSON POV
Here Tomura was again, laying on the bed - legs hanging off the bed, feet planted on the ground, pants barely halfway down his thighs.
His belt ripped from its loops, and instead secured around his throat - buckled and squeezing.
Tomura's vision went hazy, tongue lolled, chin dribbling with spit.
Eyes lovestruckenly staring up at Y/N, who was moaning lovely above him - not even looking at him with the bliss from riding his poor denied cock.
Y/N kept the belt taught, listening to Tomura gasp and gargle for breath - but grinning internally as Y/N could feel Tomura's cock throb strongly with each gasp inside him.
One of Tomura's hands held tight to the fine leather belt, unable to relieve some of the tension to even sneak a breath - not like he wanted to anyways.
And his right death gripping on Y/Ns hip, fingers digging into the sexy flesh.
This time Tomura had said something along the lines of finding leadership sexy, and Y/N had to put him in his place - beneath his form.
Y/N had to make sure that despite to everyone elses knowledge - that Tomura was not in charge here.
Tomura always loved to tease Y/N - and get his very own belt used on him.
Tomura even bought a fancy belt with tightening brackets that go the full length of the belt so it could secure around his neck.
Instead of with every bounce of Y/N's hot hips - untightening slightly.
"F-Fuck..." Tomura whimpered, eyes pricking with tears, cock twitching wildly.
The dolly pink hearted cock ring around his straining cock keeping him from ejaculating right then again, just like it had all night.
Tomura knew it was fruitless to beg for release - Y/N was a real powerbottom, and didnt stop until he was satisfied.
Tomura's cock was slowly but surely getting uncomfortable - and raw, it ached and longed to fill Y/N's blazing hot tight insides with his load, but couldn't.
But he was getting more and more addicted to the sensation the more times they did this.
Tomura's eyes got a tad too murky, a soft gasp left his lips, Y/N noticed - looking down and smiling softly.
Moaning softly as he gently slowed down, giving Tomura's belt slack.
Tomura let out a long moan, taking in several panting breaths.
Both oxegyn finally running to his brain and cock - but the man is driven by the cock.
His head throbbed with the impending heavy hangover like headache for tomorrow - and he could more clearly feel the overstimulation in his limb buried deep inside Y/N.
"A-ah-...!" Shigaraki whined.
But now instead gripped tight onto Y/Ns hips, letting out soft panty "ah"s as he made shallow but rather quick thrusts up into Y/N.
Y/N grinning as he pushed his hips down into the thrusts.
Shigaraki's eyes swelled with tears, it hurt, but hurt good.
Shigaraki was at this point only being fueled by the sensation consuming and radiating from his cock.
The vessel for pleasure throbbing harshly inside of Y/N - much to Y/N's enjoyment.
"Y-Y/N~... Y/N~! I-I w-wanna cu-M!" Shigaraki was cut off as Y/N pulled taught on the belt.
Shigaraki loosing his breath and letting out a pleasured cracky squeak, cock throbbing intensely - he would have came just then.
Y/N grinned wildly, recalling how fun it was to ride him with the belt without the cock ring - Shiggy came so much when they did that, but he rarely lasted half the time the duo had been at it currently.
Shigaraki gasped lovingly, gripping tight onto Y/Ns hips, mind being consumed with the desire to pump Y/N full.
Whining animalistically Shigaraki's back arched up, chest heaving as he audibly sucked in air.
Y/N grinned, wrapping the belt around his clenched fist - his hand hardly being 6" from Shigaraki's face.
Tomura's eyes dilated to finally get his sexy hand in view - but once he did - a grin cracked on Shigaraki face.
"O-OhhhHhhhh~" Shigaraki groaned brokenly, cock throbbing again.
If his hardened nipples weren't noticable from under his black shirt before - now they were.
Shigaraki was without a doubt - if he wasn't before - in love.
Shigaraki would be slobbering over Y/N's hand gripped around the belt if it were close enough and still choking him - or be taking Y/Ns cock in his mouth.
"S-Sadist-i-ic p-puppy~" Shigaraki whimpered, tilting his head back slightly.
Y/N moaned, grinning as he leaned forward slightly, getting in Shigaraki's view again.
Tugging on the belt - Shigaraki's eyes dilated again, focusing on Y/N's face.
"Shiggy~ ohh~... Your doing s-so g-gooood for me~.." Y/N purred.
Tomura groaned weakly back, cock throbbing, the demeaning nickname got his rocks off so bad.
If he could be both complimented and degraded in one sentance with it seeming natural - he got so fucking hard.
Y/N sat up fully again, biting his lip - his own cock throbbing.
His prostate was being berated with Tomura's large size.
Y/N whimpered softly, wrapping his free hand tightly around the base of his cock - it throbbing madly in his hand.
Y/N drastically slowed, and gave slack to the belt.
"S-Shiggy~? You ready to cum baby~?" Y/N whimpered, biting his lip and shuddering.
It took a moment but Shigaraki's eyes cleared, giving a stressed loud whimper - nodding frantically.
"Y-Yea-Yeah!" He blurted raspily.
It hurt his throat to talk - but that wouldnt stop him from being verbal during sex.
His cock throbbed wildly.
"Okay~.... Hold back for me babe~.." Y/N whined, pulling off of Shigaraki's cock panting.
Shigaraki simply groaned, feeling his release get dangerously close as Y/N slowly slipped the ring strangling his cock.
But Tomura knew the punishment - he tried his very best to hold it back.
Cock throbbing with a cold pulsation as blood steadily flowed back to his red cock.
Y/N whimpered, seeing the poor sexy cock - wanting to give it a deserved stroke, but knew Tomura would burst then.
"A bit longer Shiggy~.. Your doing soooo good~...." Y/N whined, sitting down on the cock again.
Savoring each raw inch that filled his tight ass.
Finally down to the hilt, the duo panted - both of them staving off orgasm.
Y/N moaned softly, beginning to slowly bounce of Shigaraki's cock.
Y/N got to a medium pace, moaning loudly as he gripped his hand onto his cock.
"C-Cum!" Y/N moaned, instantly pulling taught on the belt.
Shigaraki groaned brokenly, dick throbbing wildly against Y/N's moving walls as he finally released his large load.
Eyes fogging over again he whimpered and moaned strained, clawing onto Y/N's hips like Y/N was the only thing keeping him alive.
Humping up into Y/Ns thrusts.
His orgasm felt like heaven, but soon another overwhelming orgasm rushed over his quivering cock.
Y/N mewling as he let go of his own cock - thick ropes of cum staining Shigaraki's shirt - even getting some on Shigaraki's cheek.
Y/N shuddering lovingly at the hot feeling seeping into him, quickly spreading throughout his insides, pooling into him.
"O-OooHhh~ agAin~!" Y/N whimpered, back arching like a slut.
Shigaraki's arching as well, as if he even heard Y/N ask, he was too long gone in pleasure.
Groaning lowly as he released another load, cock getting much more overstimulated now.
Whimpering and huffing now, out of breath as it stung - but he couldn't get enough of Y/N.
Still hard as a diamond, and throbbing wildly he kept at it.
Y/N's spine wracked with euphoria as Shigaraki kept going, moaning loudly as his cock bobbed - squirting another load messily over Tomura's shirt.
Y/N bit his tongue, groaning loudly as he grabbed tight hold of his cock - fisting his dick madly as he milked his throbbing member.
The two simply whimpered loudly and moaned, Tomura groaning loudly as he let out a orgasm laced with painful overstimulation after.
Tomura kept going however - as he was slowly softening - watching Y/N rub one more out.
Y/N moaning loudly, throwing his head back as he came again.
Shigaraki slowly pacing down as Y/Ns hips stopped moving.
Stopping - panting loudly as Y/N released his belt - his cock steadily softening inside of Y/N.
Tomura's dick throbbed wildly.
The two sat in silence, panting and enjoying eachother.
Finally Y/N sat up a bit straighter.
"You did sooooo good Shiggy~." Y/N cooed affectionately, smiling.
"Y-yeAh...." Shigaraki crackedly whispered, smiling.
"You oWe me Lots of lEMon wAter..."
"Yeah? Well your the one who buys sexy belts like these~..." Y/N grinned, teasing as he twirled the end of the belt.
Shigaraki turned red.

A/n: I love Tomura Shigaraki just about as much as I love making him suffer <3 This is also my piece for my Help Me, Hold Me collab!
Summary: Upon watching the news you find yourself having a gross realization.
Tags: @auphelia @suyacho @tighnarly @fleur-de-leap @themovingcastlez sorry i've been such ass about tagging my pieces lately aoijdoaisj
You thought nothing of it at the time, it was simply another day for you and the League of Villains, but in the days that followed after it became truly clear that it was no ordinary day. All of you gathered around the tv, climbing onto the couch and grabbing some snacks and other various foods and drinks before settling in to relax for the night. Tomura curled up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist while he kissed your neck. Silently praising you for all the good work you’d done for him and the league over the past few days, and you beamed from his sweet affections, but that joyful moment was quickly shattered as you watched the television closely.
Watching the screen you quickly recognized a young girl that was being interviewed by a news reporter. She was crying, her school uniform dirty, tattered, and covered in blood. The girl wiped her tears away with her fist as she forced out her words in between sobs.
“My parents w-were killed by the League of Villains.”
A picture of her parents embracing the young girl flashed onto the screen.
“They weren’t heroes.”
Your heart pounded hard in your ears. Why couldn’t you breathe or think?
“They weren’t even doing anything.”
Something warm fell down your cheeks. Tears? You weren’t sure and quite frankly didn’t care at that moment.
“I just want my mom and dad.”
The world stopped.
“They didn’t deserve to die.”
Before you could hear another word from the young girl’s mouth the tv was shut off. Most of the league avoided eye contact with you save for Tomura who held your face, pressing his forehead against yourself in hopes it would ground you, and Dabi who watched you with a solemn expression. Tomura tried to get your attention, calling out your name hoping to snap you out of whatever miserable trance you were caught up in. You didn’t respond, not uttering a single word until Dabi and the League had slowly walked back to their respective rooms.
Tomura looked deep into your eyes, using the pad of his thumbs to soothe your soft cries and anxious mumbling. Your eyes scanned the room frantically as Tomura shushed you, talking in a soft voice as to coax you into a calmer state, but it was a fruitless attempt. It came back so fast and you could barely contain the guilt and shame which overwhelmed you. You wanted to scratch so bad. Itch away at your flesh which was tainted with the blood of a corrupt sinner. You wanted nothing more than to rip yourself from your body, a punishment befitting of someone who so willingly chose to end another’s life.
Maybe it was fate or pure coincidence that you saw that young girl on the television that day. Perhaps it was a realization that needed to occur, or maybe it meant nothing at all. Although, if it truly meant nothing, if you really had done the right thing as you had thought you did, then why did you feel burdened with such anguish? You thought back to when it had all happened, remembering the faces of the parents that had been murdered, and felt something swell up in your chest. Guilt? Anger? Sorrow? Whatever the feeling was it suffocated you and left you choking on your own questions. How could you let this happen? How could you be so careless? So destructive? So evil.
“Hey, listen to me.” Tomura’s voice snapped you out of your self-hating trance. “You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to. If you want out I will give you an out.”
His voice and words reassured you that what he said remained true, but it simply wasn’t enough.
“It’s not that. It’s just.. it’s complicated and fucked up, Tomu.” You replied.
There was a brief moment of silence before either of you spoke again.
“You’re not a bad person.” Tomura reassured you.
He pressed his temple against yourself and looked at you with a soft expression.
“No I am and that’s part of the problem, Tomu.” You insisted.
He pulls away and looks at you with a sad and frustrated expression.
“I killed someone, Tomura. Don’t you get it? I murdered people, people who had a life and family and friends.” You paused. “They were people too, Tomura. They didn’t deserve it.”
Tears started to flow down your cheeks, and everything was hitting you all at once. Tomura understood, he was the one person who would know what you were feeling more than anyone, and yet, he had no idea how to make it better. Sure, he could hold you and rub your back as he usually did, but that would not take away the pure agony you felt. It would not fix what happened or heal what had been broken. There was nothing he could say to save those that had been lost.
You frantically wrapped your arms around his waist, firmly gripping his shirt in your fists as you cried.
“It should’ve been me. It should’ve been me, Tomura!” You yelled, pushing your face into his chest as you sobbed.
He said nothing and instead caressed the back of your head calmly. There were no words he could possibly utter that would carry your pain away. That guilt that you felt, the sensation of your chest feeling as if it was being crushed, would live with you until you were six feet underground. That he was sure of. Without a doubt he would try and try again to fix your problems, but it would ultimately be useless. There would be nights where Tomura would wake up to the sound of your hushed cries and quiet mumbling, and he too would feel a familiar ache in his chest as he realized that it was all his fault that you were wracked with such anguish.
It was all his fault, he thought, it was always all his fault.

hey! how are you feeling following these last chapters? tbh i just want it to end already 😅 but i have a question for you!! as a huge shouto and todo-fam fan what would be YOUR preferred ending for them?? either as what could happen in a possible chapter for the epilogue or in more general terms what do you want for them and for shouto in special in the future
Not good. I thought I was going to enjoy the epilogue, but tbh, after this last chapter, I can't imagine reading about Eri singing or having another Sport Festival without wanting to throw my laptop across the room.
The Todoroki family is really in a tough spot currently, because I don't really see an straightforward way to satisfy all the different characters' arcs. But for me, it should have the following components:
Touya lives. This is a big one. With Tomura, you could argue that he helped bring down AFO, with Toga you could say that her heart was saved, but where Touya was left off? A death would serve no narrative purpose. Even just with an open ending, there needs to be a hope that he can get better.
Enji delivers on his "I'll watch Touya" promise. He needs to make some kind of sacrifice where he puts his family first over his hero career. What form this will take? Idk.
Shouto and Touya need a moment. That moment of connection where Touya saw Shouto as a child needs to be spoken into existence somehow. I don't expect anything as sweet or idyllic as the Tgchk or Deku-Tenko moments, but I think Shouto deserves an opening from Touya even if it comes as a sarcastic comment about favourite foods. Like something fittingly low-key that gives us a glimpse of how they could eventually down the line build something.
Enji and Rei need to take Shouto off the pedestal and embrace him as a child. Shouto getting the "family hero label" and all the expectations that come with that now needs to stop. All the kids are masterpieces in their own beautiful ways and Shouto should be embraced with the unconditional love he deserves without any pressure of who he needs to be and what he needs to deliver to get it. All the other kids too.
Public fall-out addressed. This is a bit a stress-test on a society level. I think it's a given that the Todoroki family will stand by Touya (in contrast to Toga's parents who quickly disowned her). What will happen with Touya (prison, mental clinic, house arrest, some secret rehab program) is a test to see if anything changed. Also, how the public relates to Shouto who chose to save his villain brother, who is tainted by family scandals is a big question.
In the end, I'm hoping for an open, but somewhat hopeful ending. Rei, Fuyumi and Natsuo living in the new house, Touya getting the help he needs with a rehabilitation path, Enji putting him first and Shouto while obviously will keep his family close in his heart, being freed from the "hero role" and can be free to work on his own path and joining his friends.
I don't mind if he forgives Endeavor even - I feel like that's something he may decide for himself just to be rid of the anger, but it's a difficult balance because the past cannot be forgotten. So I definitely don't want the whiplash of a sudden chummy relationship with Endeavor and Shouto being handled as Endeavor's redemption trophy.
I think also a long-overdue hug from Rei and a reason to make Shouto smile genuinely are the only things I'm hoping from the epilogue.

did... shiggy just died i-. idk what to feel. So he is not coming bach huh..... :(. OFA is gone too....
I don’t know what to feel either, anon. We really have to wait and see what comes next. But I do think Horikoshi is trying to say something about rebirth, so the rest of this post is going to be something like an elegy for the Tomura Shigaraki we knew (and what that can mean for Izuku): Why rebirth? Why is Tomura doomed? Tomura’s entire existence was tainted by AFO. Tomura can change his name, change his hair color, kill the AFO vestige, etc., but it’s impossible for him to escape AFO. How society would view him or his “redemption” is irrelevant; it’s that HE now knows his entire life, from conception onwards, was never his own. For Tomura, a happy ending is being completely free from AFO, deciding things fully for himself, and knowing his decisions are his own. It’s not a happy ending to remove Tenko from Tomura’s origin trauma only to plunge him into Twice’s “am I really me” trauma.
What AFO’s final, awful reveal showed is that even if Tomura Shigaraki became Tenko Shimura again, it’s not a rebirth. The very first cells of “Tenko Shimura’s” being were stained by AFO since AFO manipulated Kotaro into conceiving Tenko. Tenko’s parents and childhood friends were totally under AFO’s thumb. “Tenko” has no path to freedom; he has to be rebuilt from ash, one way or another.
For my own aesthetic tastes, I would very much prefer for Tenko to have agency over this. If he was going to disintegrate, I’d prefer it to be a clear choice — like Katsuki and Toshinori choosing moves that brought them to the brink of death. I don’t like the idea that Tenko had no choice in life or death, and that disintegrating is just another indignity that AFO manipulated him into. But maybe his story was always destined to be a tragedy, no matter how hard he tried to fight it.
Of course, there are ways that the spirit/consciousness of Tenko Shimura could return in a new body, and many of them do have Tenko participating actively in the process:
Phoenix quirk — Tomura disintegrates to ash so Tenko can choose to be reborn free of AFO’s distortions. (Maybe fandom was right about this theory but wrong that the phoenix was Dabi!)
Overhaul or quirk awakening - It’s possible for Overhaul (who is very much still alive and in possession of his quirk factor) to reverse the disintegration. It’s also possible that Tenko can do it himself (or that Tenko gave Izuku a quirk to do it) since Decay is half of Overhaul. Personally I don’t believe this is likely because I think Decay disappeared when AFO took control of Tomura this final time? Unclear, the end got really rushed and messy on these details for me, but if Decay is gone then it’s hard for it to “awaken.”
Rewind - The MHA standby ever since Eri’s introduction. She doesn’t have her horn anymore, so it seems unlikely, but she still has her quirk factor. The thing here is Tenko’s agency and if he would want to be rewound back to the body that AFO built for him.
All For One - Yes, Tomura could have given Izuku a quirk when they touched. What if it’s actually…All For One? Yoichi said the AFO quirk could have been the kindest in the world…and Izuku did promise to “bring it all back”… so if Tomura’s parting gift was to give the raw All For One power to Izuku, then Izuku could Overhaul and Rewind his way into healing everyone. He could borrow any quirk needed (Recovery Girl? Erasure?) use it as a tool, and then give it back because of course Izuku wouldn’t keep a stockpile for himself (absent being told he could keep a quirk). FWIW, I’d be HIGHLY amused if this happens, because it sounds straight out of a DFO fic. :)
Aura Might/OFA shenanigans - The “heroic fire” of OFA has seemingly gone out before, only to re-emerge both in the same person and in other people. I could see Tenko emerging from this fire.
Wishing energy that twists fate - Izuku and All Might both lived when they were “supposed” to die, so it could happen for Tenko too.
However, Tenko returning in a physical, corporeal form is not the only kind of rebirth that can complete his arc. It pains me SO MUCH to say this, but there’s a real chance his body doesn’t come back. Tomura fought for someone to see what was swept under the rug and understand that hero society isn’t perfect. He wanted a hero who would save him and imperfect humans like him, and he got that someone in Izuku. (He actually got it in Nana too, because of Izuku.)
Izuku Midoriya taking Tenko’s message deep into his heart and influencing all the people watching him to care more about the misfits and “villains” that pro heroes can’t help is a form of giving Tenko a new life. In the same way that the vestiges extended their power decades beyond physical death, and the same way that Shirakumo’s heroic heart survived his death and Nomu-fication, Izuku can keep Tenko’s spirit alive long after his body died. Maybe Tenko’s spirit is a new type of “heroic fire,” and it’s up to Izuku to keep those embers burning. It’s all in Izuku’s rewound, notably non-decayed hands.
Looking at it with this framing, you can also say Izuku gets his win AND save. Because even if Izuku couldn’t save Tenko’s physical body — and how could he if Tenko was doomed before either of them were born? — choosing to carry on Tenko’s legacy IS saving everything he could of that crying boy. It’s also far more immediate and tangible for Izuku to take on Tenko’s legacy rather than being unwittingly thrown into the 200 year old OFA-AFO fight. There’s something so poignant and human about an ending with quirkless Izuku humbly fighting for what Tenko believed in compared to celebrity #1 Billboard ranked hero Izuku with OFA. After all, Tenko and Izuku are 2 sides of a coin. Tenko could have had Izuku’s role in another life if OFA kept passing in the Shimura family.
Even the fact that Izuku never told anyone outside of Ochako, Katsuki, and All Might that he wanted to save Tenko works in Izuku’s favor. Izuku can help the whole world become the people Tenko challenged them to be and they’ll never know they’re actually fulfilling the dreams of a villain. (‘Cuz they’d be too biased to do it otherwise.) Finally, you know all the complaints that Izuku’s character has been stagnant in MHA’s third act? That he hasn’t really been challenged in his ideals? Maybe that hasn’t happened yet because it’s just starting NOW.
After all, Toshinori modeled “All Might” after Nana’s ideals, and she wasn’t known to the population at large. Izuku could follow their footsteps by modeling his hero career after Tenko’s ideals. We’d have multiple generations of Shimuras posthumously changing society for the bettter.
Look, I understand how emotions are running high. I’ve loved this series for years and I cried reading this chapter. I personally don’t love it if Tenko is gone, even though I can make narrative sense of it. It’s a tragic and bitter-barely-sweet ending for poor Tenko, whose very dreams of being a hero were engineered to sow division in his family and break his psyche instead of lift him up.
But none of us will know what it all means for a few more chapters. We could still have several more chapters before we get Tenko’s real finale. It’s nearing the end, but it’s not THE end yet. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and as always, curate your fandom spaces lovingly.

MHA chapter 414
1)The memory sharing thing. Izuku and shigaraki sharing memories kind of came out of nowhere especially with Izukus memories being shared because last time I checked it was izuku giving his DNA to tomura not both of them recieving eachother DNA. I don't know if it's me but the memory sharing thing just felt like a very cheap way to try and build up the nonexistent dynamic between izuku and shigaraki but it fails horribly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2) kudo's description of deku. I guess it isn't just that but kudo describing izuku as "someone who doesn't just follow orders" just left a bad taste in my mouth maybe it's because of the whole deku and wooden puppet and izuku continually being stripped off any INTROSPECTION but yeah this just rubbed me the wrong way. Also kudos whole disappearance or second death felt so anti climatic idk what I was expecting but for him to just disappear is disappointing for sure. I would of expected him to do some lasting damage with his vessel or ghost but all he did was basically take himself and quirk out of existence in its own way. Izuku full on becoming a puppet both literally and metaphorically is something that Iam not a huge fan of. I think it's kind of a great idea but the point of MHAs begining was a series of the greatest hero so logically speaking Izuku would continue forward and grow out and show that he isn't the puppet that his tormenter has claimed him to be but he is a person, a hero and a human. Sure the puppet idea could of worked but the way horikoshi tried to cement the idea and present it doesn't work it mainly feels like horikoshi is doing this as a cheap way to justify Izuku's lack of INTROSPECTION and POV.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3) the lack of izuku and shigaraki introspection. This goes for the whole series but I still hate that izuku barely gets to tell his own pov like I swear he was the narrator of the story back in chapter one so why is it that other characters are telling us how izuku should or is feeling when it isn't the narrator himself. Also shigaraki just stating the obvious for his pov just irritated me I guess I wanted and expected more. I expected to understand why shigaraki wants to destroy and why does he view Izuku in said ways I expected answers but we kinda got nothing 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4) did horikoshi forget some plot things? I thought that the vestiges could continually read Izuku's thoughts and see his memories so why are they so surprised in him implementing an idea like they haven't seen izuku quickly come up with battle Strategies all the time. To me it feels like the vestiges are acting the way horikoshi wants us to act and the vestiges are just there acting shocked when they figure everything out so we can understand which is all iffy to me. Like why couldn't we get this from Izuku's point of view what was stopping us from getting this from shigarakis point of view what is it that the vestiges are the ones narrating this bit when they should already be semi aware of what going on at the least.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5) WHY IS IT THAY IZUKU HAS TO LOSE ALL HIS QUIRKS? like seriously I feel like izuku should of just stayed quirkless. Why is it that izuku has to go back to square one while all the characters get to live a good life? Why just him? It seems like shigaraki is getting the damages of 2nd quirks but I still don't understand why seconds quirk causes this when in reality it shouldn't and I don't think this will even hurt shigaraki as much like the guy was experimented and tortured to handle this stuff?!?! Was it worth it? Like is it worth it giving shigaraki all these free power ups?
Tumblr media
6) what's the point here? Like are they becoming the same person?!?! What do you mean by their memories merging together and becoming one? Why is it happening? This doesn't truly make sense because what is the end result are they gonna be all fine and dandy because they both saw eachothers lives or something? Also this feels like another way to develop a heavily underdeveloped dynamic like shigaraki has stated that he wants destruction so shouldn't he just destroy all the memories because he wants destruction and that's it. What does izuku or shigaraki benefit from this and wouldn't it just leave them with more damage than it should? Also I mentioned this before but how is this happening like I get shigaraki seeing Izuku's memories but why is izuku seeing shigarakis it's not like shigaraki has shared his DNA with Izuku so what's going on. Also the relations with the league is way too underdeveloped when it comes from shigaraki so what's the purpose of this? It feels like I stead of actually giving us more story we are going down in memory lane and horikoshi is just drawing better versions of his old manga panels

With all the criticizing over I must admit that I liked that this chapter had the vestiges especially EN realise how much izuku actually respects them and how smart he is for the way he uses their quirks. I also liked that we at least got some povs from everyone and how this was a very quirk focused chapter but that's about it really.

imagine shigaraki unexpectedly comforting u 🤭 but since he’s a villain the solution is literally “i’ll just get them killed lol”
CW: crying, death implied, mostly fluff. blunt comforting, villains being villains.
i imagine you open up to him here abt family abuse, (self indulgent srry) but u can imagine it as anything. (bullies, mean coworkers, idk)
ミ✭ . ・ ★彡 . ⋆ ・ ✵彡 • . ・⋆ ミ☆ • 。 ⋆ 彡
“i’ll try my best, but…” you purse your lips a little, “i’m just so tired of having to deal with them.” you finish sputtering. you can feel hiccups threatening to arise.
a few more tears roll down your red cheeks. you sniffle and are glad that your hair is shielding your face a little. at least your leader can’t see your full on crying face.
he crouches down. now that he’s at your level, you try even harder to get your body to stop shaking.
“look at me.” shigaraki says.
you reluctantly turn to face him. he reaches forward with his hand, his fingers gently brushing your hair aside as if nothing. he does it so casually, but your heartbeat speed up.
he looks over your features. “wow. you’re being serious.” he scoffs. he stands up and takes out his phone, walking as he typed away.
“you don’t understand-“
“i could end all that crap that’s bothering you in a second.”
it takes you a moment to process his offer. with rosy cheeks and a teary, hopeful eyes you try getting up, stumbling a little in the process.
“r-really? how??”
he sighs. “they’re all as good as dead if you say so.”
you’re up on your feet, clumsily staggering around as you walk to him. hope fills your chest, but you automatically feel contradicted. should you really let the league… “handle” your abusers for you? after all, those people had decided to cause you tears of torment. you were already a criminal anyways. still, you panicked. “what? but shigaraki, we’ll have to deal with even more-“
“problems?” he cut off. he shook his head and waved it off. “then we’ll deal with those. this is nothing the league can’t handle.” he turns off his phone and shoved it back in his pocket. “dabi’s dealing with them right now. he happened to be in the area.”
it’s crazy how things that are life shattering for you are such a simple fix for shigaraki. you wipe at your eyes as you realize it will be over soon.
“you know, for us here, that’s nothing.” shigaraki started. “not even in a show-offy way, you know. we just put end to things we don’t like.” you wiped at your nose as you watched him talk. “they were selfish with you, weren’t they?” he asked with a small tilt of his head. his voice sounded kind, but you knew it was laced with venom.
you nodded meekly.
“then why can’t you be selfish with them?”
your eyes widen.
it’s true.
before you can even begin to utter a thank you, he takes the hand off of his face. his skin is rough and littered with scars, but just as you suspected, he has the prettiest facial features that go with his pretty light blue hair. he has a beauty mark below his lips towards the right side of his face. a scar runs down the left side of his lip. his eyes are bright red, and they’re looking right back at you. you’re staring.
you lower your flushed face, looking down at the ground. you’ve never felt so welcome. “thank you, shigaraki…” you shyly mumble, gaze averted. “i’ll make it back up to you someday…”
you look so cute it pisses him off. “yeah, yeah. whatever.” he rasps, making you softly laugh.
“no, really. you’re the best, tomura.” you look back at him and give him a grateful yet tearful smile. a little too girly for him, probably, because he rolls his eyes and turns around after scoffing.
“shut up.” he says, and you can’t help but smile at the tips of his ears turning red.

“Don’t touch me!”
You exhale shakily, lowering your head with both hands held out in surrender. Slowly does it. You back away from him, stopping when the heel of your foot hits the wall.
Eyes alight and wide with fury, there’s a red bloom bordering the sclera. He must have thrown up again. The needle once in the crook of his arm has been torn out, his IV pole laid across the floor. With a white knuckle grip, he’s trembling violently enough to rattle the metal frame around his bed.
Nothing is decaying.
Gently, “Tenko—”
“That isn’t my name!” he spits. His voice is brittle, much like a cub's imitation of a roar. You feel your chest tighten. In your care is Shimura Tenko, once Shigaraki Tomura — The Symbol of Fear, undeniably frightened of you.
“Tomura,” you correct yourself. “I’m sorry. I acted hastily because I was worried about your IV. I shouldn’t have done that”.
Pale faced, skin visibly sore and dry. The bridge of his nose wrinkles, his upper lip pulling back. He snarls, even as it splits the surface wounds around his mouth. Viscous strings of saliva thin between his jagged teeth as he bares them in your direction.
“I know you’re still confused, and I wish I could give you answers,” you hold his gaze meaningfully for a moment before dipping your head. “I am only here to help you recover. That remains true whether you believe it or not”.
His chest rises and falls erratically, refusing to give a response. You simply watch as his gown falls forward with each rasping breath, revealing pale, scarred collarbones. There are streaks of pink running down the column of his throat, blood rushing to the broken skin.
You wait a few more minutes. Time moves forward, tenderly wearing on his defenses. As the anger melts away the expression on Tomura’s face is fearful. Eyes wide as they survey the room, unblinking until the sting is unbearable, then repeating the motions.
The clear helplessness struck a chord with you, playing the strings in your heart. Given all the atrocities he had committed, any normal person might say the guilt you felt for his treatment was misguided.
Yet with the knowledge of his upbringing plastered across every news outlet, the details of his family’s death and the near loss of his own self, there is an undeniably human part of you that seeks to reassure him. Cowering before you is Shimura Tenko, taken and misshapen. A small child whose flesh had been held over the hearth, repurposed to be the perfect tool for destruction.
And now the reason he was allowed to live, the sole reason for which he believes he received patience and love, is gone. He has found himself back at the start.
Cowering before you is Shimura Tenko. Quirkless.
“You have been bed bound for quite some time now,” you begin again, speaking with soothing cadence. He bristles at your tone, but the defensive snapping doesn’t return. He only scrutinises you.
“I’m sure you’d like to wash yourself again and get a little independence back,” you say, unsure if he is even aware of the bed bathing that you and the other nurses gave him during his induced coma. “There’s a wet room adjoined to this one with an accessible shower, if you’d like to use it”.
“I’m not a child,” he fumed.
Dignity is a fragile thing. You nod, softening your gaze as you do so, and tell him, “I know”.
Your acquiescence appears to startle him, the grip he has on the bed frame marginally loosening. His silence permeates the air, stifling as you inhale, waiting in anticipation for his decision.
Gradually, he sheds the reluctance and his limbs unfurl across the mattress. A sliver of bare skin between the end of his gown and the beginnings of his compression stockings. His body trembles with the effort it takes to scoot to the edge of his bed, and he hesitates to set his feet on the floor.
“Do you need me to—”
“No!”
“Right,” stupid question. You wince, averting your gaze to the bathroom door, enough that it is no longer pervasive but he is kept in your periphery.
Tomura grabs the IV pole from the floor, pulling himself up with it to stand. Reflexively, his pinky is extended away from it. He breathes in deeply and visibly steels himself before letting go, finger by finger, until he is upright without support.
He makes his way around the bed towards the ensuite, his gait slow and heavy as if wading through water. Neither of you say a word, and you follow him two steps behind, noting how his shoulders stiffen if you come too close.
The bathroom is clinical in nature, entirely waterproof and sealed. Beneath your feet are stone coloured tile, painted over with anti slip coating, and the walls are a washed out white. There is a slightly raised toilet with an adjustable grab rail beside it, and a basin between two mounted rails for stability.
Largest is the shower itself, wide enough for a wheelchair to fit. Attached to the wall are three dispensers, a fold down stool bordered by two metal rails, and tucked into the corner is a large blue shower curtain.
Before you can offer, Tomura reaches behind his head to fiddle with the string keeping his gown together. You turn away, pulling out the stool beneath the shower head and stretching to toy with the water, flinching as it rushes out of the head onto the wetroom floor.
A huff. The warmth of another body brushes against you. “Move,” Tomura gripes. Keeping your eyes up, you step back with both arms held out. He ultimately ignores them, bracing onto the grab rail as he lowers himself onto the stool beneath the spray. Pin pricks of water bounce off his back onto your clothes.
You make no comment about the small towel wrapped around his waist to protect his modesty. Reaching over, you pull the curtain across. “I’ll have to stay in the room for your safety, but let me know if you need anything”.
“Whatever,” is his succinct reply. You worry the flesh of your bottom lip between your teeth. His silhouette is murky behind the curtain. The pressure is loud, repetitive white static in your ears. You watch as his head dips to hang defeatedly between his shoulders, drapes of his hair falling forward with the movement.
“The dispensers on the wall are label—”
“I can read!”
Well, at least he’s energetic. With no further assistance needed, you slowly back away to sit on the closed toilet seat. A hospital gown, disposable pants and his compression socks have been left in a heap beside the door.
When the shower cuts off abruptly, Tomura’s frustrated growl echoes throughout the room. “This thing is broken!”
“Did you try to turn the temperature up?” you ask.
Aside from the staccato drip of water from his wet body, everything falls silent. You sigh quietly. “The system automatically turns off if you make it too hot. I don’t want it to scald you”.
“Why not?” he snaps. You can hear him playing with the buttons. “I can handle a bit of pain”.
You smile despite yourself. “I think you’ve had enough of that already”.
Tomura doesn’t respond, and instead restarts the water. As his body moves under the spray the direction changes, spitting against the inside of the curtain. Over the crescendo, you can hear the distinct mechanical click of one of the dispensers.
Tenko is to be tried as a villain, yes. He is patient of yours, too. But most of all he is a person, deserving of privacy and respect. So you temper the urge to talk further, and allow him this unencumbered space to think, folding both hands in your lap. Minutes pass, and you wait.
You glance up as he gasps. It’s a soft, pained sound, barely heard. “Hey,” he croaks, rapping his fingers against the curtain as he searches for the opening. “Can you…”
Moving instinctively, you grab a dry towel before pulling back the curtain. Tomura is still hunched over, curling into himself. The towel over his lap is soaked. Quickly, you scan him for any obvious injuries.
He’s covered in bubbles. You see his white hair sticking to his naked shoulders in spiked clumps, saturated with water. Thick scars of various shapes and sizes, slashes and starbursts mottling his back.
Then you notice he is pressing the heel of his hand harshly against his eyes. You lower onto your haunches, proffering the dry towel. “Press this where it stings,” you tell him.
His throat bobs as he swallows. Head turning, his expression is pinched in distress. Tomura keeps both eyes closed, blindly searching for the cloth and recoiling as he makes contact with you.
“Here, let me…” you bring the towel up to him, dabbing it gently along with one hand while the other shields his face from the spray. To your surprise he doesn’t object, but instead steadily thaws under your touch. You tense in the effort to remain upright as he leans more of his weight into your palm, nuzzling into the fabric.
There are still bubbles spilling over from his crown. He definitely used too much from the dispensers, but that’s best kept to yourself. Gingerly, you use your free hand to brush them away before they can slip down his forehead.
“Would you like me to rinse your hair for you?”
His response is muffled and short. “Tomura, I need you to verbally consent”.
“Fine,” he groans, voice clearer with his chin tilted away from the linen. “…Hurry up”.
You instruct him to hold the towel and he does so, going back into hiding as you busy yourself with angling the shower head and adjusting the pressure. “Okay. I’m going to hold the back of your neck. Is that alright?”
Another grunt, though this time it is paired with a sharp nod. Cautiously, you pull the stool further from the wall and turn it until his back is to the spray. “Let me know if you want me to stop”.
Carefully you slide a hand behind his head, cradling the nape of his neck like you would an infant. His elbows raise with him as you tilt him back under the shower, keeping the towel over his eyes.
His hair falls with the flow of the water. Aware of his sensitive temperament, you begin at the roots, lightly massaging his scalp with your fingertips. You do not progress until the rigidity has seeped from his body, relaxed and breathing steadily in his chair.
Tomura’s hair is unnaturally white, thick and coarse. It is long, too, falling to the small of his back. There are plenty of knots, and as you comb your fingers through the length to rinse away the bubbles, you find yourself pausing often to gently untangle them.
“Does that feel okay?”
“Mm,” he sighs.
“Don’t fall asleep here Tenko,” you laugh under your breath, “I can’t carry you”.
Your arm is entirely wet, and in reaching to squeeze the water from the tips of his hair, he has slipped into the crook of it. His head turns limply into your chest, and the towel slips from his face.
Where there was once a snarling, ferality in his eyes there is now a haunting contentment to them. He blinks up at you in a daze, the fluorescent light reflecting in the burst vessels around his iris. You watch each other silently, accompanied only by the pitter patter of droplets hitting tile.
Belatedly, he mumbles, “Mama…?”
Breath held, you smother the emotions that well up inside of you. Deep, deep down, you pack them into an already overflowing chest and lock it shut. After shutting off the shower, you tap two fingers against his cheek.
“Tomura?” you call him, concerned about his sudden delirium. The bridge of his nose wrinkles at the name. “I need you to come back to me, okay? Do you know where we are?”
Gradually, the recognition moves through his face. You witness brick by brick as he rebuilds his wall. Blinking away the haze, tension returns to his body, and he cringes away from your embrace upon realising his position.
“Tomura?” you’re both sad and relieved to see his upper lip curling in disdain again. Once more, you ask, “Do you know where we are?”
“In the hospital,” he rasps, cognisant again. “Get the hell off of me”.
You remove your arm from behind his head and he leans on to the grab rail, skin damp and pebbling in the tepid air. Hastily, you find him a larger towel and tuck it around his shoulders, unperturbed by his choleric hiss.
“Careful when you stand, your muscles relaxed quite a bit,” you give a small smile. He grunts. Intuitively, you know that offering to walk him would result in more embarrassed anger. “Do you feel comfortable enough to let me insert the IV back in once you’re dressed?”
Tomura sits himself up straight and readjusts the covering in his lap. “I’m sick of needles,” he says, avoiding your gaze.
Dark blotches seep through the towel as it soaks up the water. While the shower had been short, you think he already looks a little better like this. Clean. There was still a long road ahead, but before this he had never let anyone touch him without sedation, so you count it as a significant win.
“How about I do it after you’ve eaten, then?”
He peers at you through the curtains of hair, laid comically flat to his head. His appearance and his behaviour sometimes resembled a stray cat. More often than not, you had to remind yourself that he had been an extremely dangerous individual, responsible for tragic destruction all throughout Japan.
And here he was, “Can I have some ohagi?”
The figurative chest deep in your consciousness threatens to burst. You rub at the spot over your heart as it aches, and smile sadly.
“Sure, Tenko. I’ll have them send up some ohagi”.

Also like little question. If Overhaul will be thing, you get me right?, then will he live alone or might he be with also a partner or just be the leader of the Shie Hassaika (idk how to wrote Hasaika?) And if he doesn't live alone will there be a chance of Chronohaul happening? Totally understand if not.
Completely other idea, maybe Eri can exist too as a "hatchling" of Overhaul. But she was either stolen from a bad home, was homeless or like already manipulated and therefore she is a good hatchling. And when Tomura and Dabi see that they may feel quite jealous about that fact that all their hatchling does it hate them, crying and fighting back. And they may use it to guilt trip the reader since they can't be such a good hatchling or Overhaul may use it to get them to agree to the rebirth of their hatchling via the lake/well/manipulation ect. And if that manipulation like works and the child is a good hatchling and Tomura and Toya are so damn happy that their squeaker loves them back like time passes. Maybe like 10 years or something. And their memories slowly come back. Because Kai didn't know that the rebirth/manipulation needs to be done every like 10 Years. And so they remember, right? First they become more distant or cautious of their parents and that behavior of course strikes them as weird. But every time they talk the now adult child turn hostile to the situation and completely closes up and denies everything. And maybe at done point they know like everything again. And are scared, but they try to act cool since the Nagas still think the child is manipulated. And so like since the child is an adult they can go hunting on their own. But then one day they meet Izuku again. And long story short through whatever mechanism. For example Izuku following them secretly back to the nest. The now very adult man murks Tomura and Dabi. But like when he does the Nagas don't recognize him fully and like they still think of readsr as a hatchling and so they protect them with everything. And die or are deadly harmed and passed out from blood loss/exhaustion protecting what they loved most. And when the reader it taken back by Izuku there is a whole latter of guilt trip. Cause on one hand they loved their parents over the last 10 years but now "they" have killed them. And they can't feel really ay home with Iilu cause of that guilt and them blaming themselves cause one just cannot simply throw 10 years of a great family relationship away like nothing had happened. And so they don't feel good, not at all. It is not what they wanted. The guilt eating them alive day and night. All the sleepless night thinking about if things would have been different. Maybe if they never remember maybe if Izulu just took them with him and ram away as far as possible. They feel alone in their bed....and cold....lonely.
Dawg, I’m fucking sobbing like holy shit.
If Reader did stay and grow up with Shigadabi and Izuku did kill them, Reader would feel utterly guilty about it. They’d probably end up killing Izuku and running back to the forest, or just letting their grief consume them to the point of numbness.
The reason why Overhaul has beef with Shigaraki is because Shiggy ratted Overhaul’s nest out. (A group of snakes is called a nest I think.) Shiggy did so by guiding a hunter to Overhaul’s nest and essentially framing the dude for stealing livestock.
Cause Nagas can be friendly and sometimes even guide humans, Shiggy only was revealed as the culprit after he was caught stealing a sheep. Overhaul was just vibing with his group till he lost his entire group and family.
Shigaraki only fucked his shit up further after Overhaul sought revenge for his group’s death, only for Shigaraki to brutally tears his tail and arms really badly.
Kai has to rely upon hypnotism and his venom to catch his meals, that’s how bad Shigaraki ruined him.
Saving Reader and keeping their location secret from Shigadabi is essentially his fuck you to them.
“You took something from me and I take something from you” kinda deal.
Eri was Kai’s adopted child as he was a decent parent in this AU, he was devoted to his mate and nest. Loosing them all utterly destroyed him.

rating Shigaraki endings as a hopeless villain stan
Shigaraki gets turned into child Tenko. 0/10 What would this fix lol. Either he loses his memories and gets his whole personhood eradicated, in which case you might as well just have killed him?? Or he keeps his memories - all the hurt and hatred - but now can't do anything about them. This is just a humiliating method of incapacitation.
Shigaraki sacrifices himself to end afo - becoming the hero he always wanted to be. 0/10 Redemption through death gotta be one of my most hated tropes. It's infinitely more interesting to have the character live after everything they've done and be there to fix the mess they have created, even if they can't be forgiven. Whenever character sacrifices themselves to redeem their soul or whatever the fuck im always like noo!! get your ass back here there is so much damage to be undone - damage a corpse could not rectify!! Aside my usual dislike for this trope, such an end it would feel especially cruel for Tomura. It would mean his whole life would have been about afo. He was born because of afo (lol that was so dumb), he was used by afo his whole life, does his death - for the love of god - have to be about afo too??? This puts such a bad taste in my mouth i can't even find the words fucking goddamn
Shigaraki dies but his vestige lives inside Deku's ofa. 1/10 Same as last one with the bonus of Shigaraki trapped in a dimension where he can never see his loved ones ever again. It gets one point for decay - power literally made in a lab to be as destructive as possible - being used to save people, that's neat (would rather have Shigaraki do that himself tho!!!).
Shigaraki yields and gets captured by law enforcement. Then rots his life away in a cell or gets executed by the government. 1/10 Truly awful. It gets one point for being so awful it's funny.
Shigaraki yields and gets captured by law enforcement. Then he is placed in rehabilitation center. 5/10 Villains being put in rehab instead of tartarus would certainly be a sign that things are changing for the better and that villains are seen as actual people. He could atone for his crimes within the rehab center, starting by giving back the stolen quirks and stuff like that. This does still feel a little unsatisfying tho.
Same as previous but Spinner is also there. 7/10 They could heal and play games together. Love that for them <3
Shigaraki rids himself of afo's vestige, but chooses to fight and die defending his ideals. 7/10 Not happening but it would be kinda neat. That would really drive home the point that his reason for villainy does not start and end with afo - he is mad at the world for not reaching out a hand for him when he needed it the most and for rejecting his fellow outcasts - and that has nothing to do with that baldie. Tomura would not betray the thousands of people who hail him as their liberator just because a hero was nice to him, because he is not fighting just for himself - he is fighting for THEM. Him dying as a villain would ironically be incredibly heroic. It would make me cry. Also I love my man but his battle against Deku was so lousy lol. He didn't even get to do any cool moves (i still have blueballs about mt. fuji) :((( Shigaraki fighting with ofa could remedy this. It could be SO cool. Imagine him using decay on a pebble or something and throwing it but using gearshift to slow down the spread so that it carries to wherever the pebble lands - giving him a counter for flying enemies (idk if it works that way but just let me have thiss <3). Downsides of this ending: Shigaraki losing while having afo AND ofa would be so embarrassinggg. Also I don't want my man to die.
Vigilante Shigaraki. 10/10 Tomura realizing that in the core of his being lies not the desire to spread his ruin to others, but the desire to use his hands to make sure no-one has to be hurt like he was. He was given power to become the end of the wold, but he chooses to use this power to create a better world for his people. Amazing compromise of Deku being successful in saving Shigaraki from his destructive impulses whilst not having Shigaraki become a sell-out for a system that hurt him and his found family. Love love love! (I'm just writing fanfiction inside me head at this point but imagine him holding ofa as confiscation: If the heroes & civilians can prove to him they deserve his mercy by actually enacting systematic change, he will spare their lives and give ofa back)
(edit: Whatever Shigaraki's ending may be, I want his criticism of the hero system (esp. the bystander effect) to be addressed first and foremost. If he gets killed, or even if he is placed in a rehabilitation center, and the world that creates it's villains is not reformed, it would be exactly the "sweeping pain under the rug" - sort of thing Tomura was talking about. It would be beyond disappointing)

On Hawks and Twice:
Alright, gonna dive into this pool of needles that is this topic.
I'll start by saying I've been through every stage of feeling for this particular arc. At one point I wanted Hawks to die a tragic heroic death, at another I just wanted to see him get called out about Twice's death by the kids, then I wanted Hawks to face his past demons through Twice via the clones, but I'm past all of that now, though it took some time and a LOT of thinking and talking it out with friends.
Currently where I'm at is just trying to make sense of the decisions made in the manga. I think a lot of people are confused by the Twice clones disappearing and Hawks still standing, and my initial reaction to that was also confusion.
BUT
Let's be real, there were issues with the "Hawks faces Twice through the clones" trajectory from the get go.
It seemed VERY likely and plausible at first, in fact almost guaranteed from the moment we saw Hawks say "kill him, now" with the most deranged look on his face. But then the battle progressed and he kept running away from the situation with Twice, despite AFO reminding him to go make an attempt at mending his mistakes (even though there was no way he could). Hawks meddled with AFO instead and got a whirlwind of punishment as a result, and here we are.
But meanwhile in all of that we found that the Twice clones were not what they were originally thought to be--which was clones of Twice, as if Twice himself had cloned them. No, instead we find out that the clones are simply just Toga. They're just Togas, transformed into Twice. Once that was apparent, that was the main issue I had with the Hawks vs Twice round 2 idea. The impact of Hawks facing "Twice" was immediately blunted by the sheer fact that it wasn't Twice, it was Toga. So it becomes a whole other situation.
The other potential situation was Hawks vs Toga (something I always hated the idea of tbh). But that would have been complicated, as it would have been introducing, initiating, developing, and concluding a relationship all in one arc, or rather even less in a matter of chapters. It felt very possible (and I can't discount that it could still happen in a different way later on, idk) but then Ochacko got the job done first before Hawks could get involved. So now we're left with Hawks who has nobody to face to deal with the consequences of killing Twice, a guy he says he genuinely liked and cared about, and wants to be like.
After talking it out....I'm landing on the point of--the only person Hawks has to face about killing Twice is himself.
Reasons:
The narrative as a whole....doesn't give much reaction to Twice's death. If we're being completely and brutally honest, which I am right now, the only reaction we got were from two characters: Dabi and Toga. Dabi continued on his merry way not really...giving much of a fuck beyond caring enough to give the blood he collected to Toga who he knew would cherish it. We literally got nothing from Tomura and when/if we do it won't be for a very long time after a point when it won't really matter, Spinner and Compress both barely reacted.
All that to say: nobody in the story itself gives a shit about Hawks killing Twice. Not the civilians, not the heroes, the LOV BARELY but not even enough for it to spread beyond Toga. Just....it's not something that weighs heavily outside of Toga's and Hawks's arcs. It just doesn't. That isn't to say it doesn't matter, because it does, clearly. But that is to say that the way Twice's killer gets "consequences" is going to look a lot different than what a lot of people--myself included--originally expected.
Because Twice has now vanished for good, it seems a lot like Hawks is responsible for his own closure now. Meaning he might not be forced into it via a confrontation from Toga (in fact I'd argue the chances of that happening are close to 0 at this point).
Hawks himself had a visceral reaction to his last encounter with Twice. (Read that, you won't regret it). Toga's grief is probably not resolved or gone, but her misery is finally starting to be lifted. Symbolically, all of the Twice's disappearing and Toga's smiling and crying face is her letting her feelings of anger and vengeance go so she can move forward.
All that's left is Hawks. All Hawks has to face is himself.
Hawks has his own feelings to face. Because Hawks is about to witness the results of Shouto and Ochacko succeeding where he failed because they both refused to give up no matter how difficult it got. I'd argue that Shouto's actions and the results from them speak very loudly on this, more than even Ochacko's. Because Touya was about to literally nuke the entire vicinity, and yet here he is, alive. Toga was literally doing exactly what Hawks feared Twice would do. And yet here she is, alive. Granted Toga was in a more reachable head space, but at the beginning she wasn't so easy to get through to. Ochacko didn't stop or give up and she opened up herself to Toga and validated Toga's feelings and doubt about being saved, unlike Hawks.
Hawks seeing these kids succeed where he didn't is the catalyst he needs to have a strong reaction to remembering what he did and how he's done nothing but run away from it (because he was so conflicted and fucked up over it in the first place). Nothing he does can change what happened, but he can at least start to have some introspection and ask himself why he is the way he is, emotionally stuck in one place, latching onto a man who has a family to take care of that Hawks isn't a part of, maybe start to work through that shit too.
Basically, removing all of the outside forces from Hawks's arc to me feels very intentional. Hawks has ALWAYS been a character who internalizes everything to his core. It feels appropriate that everything that moves him forward continues to be what he internalizes--which if I'm right later, will be his reaction to seeing the kids save the villains in the way that he genuinely wanted to do for Twice, but failed.
This isn't as coherent as I'd usually try to make it because I'm not trying to meta anything right now. Right now I'm just trying to reason out my own thinking for leaving Hawks with literally nothing to do or say or anyone to do or say it to. He's all alone now and if he's going to get out of this emotionally STUCK place he's in he has to look in the mirror and think really hard about himself.

Type of music Tomura would listen too:
This is just my opinion don't attack me 🙌

I feel like he would love heavy metal, goth metal, death metal and nu metal. I already made playlist for heavy metal and nu metal since these two are my fav type of metal and I can see it as his playlist too. You can check it out if you want
(IMAGINE TOMURA IN BAND SHIRTS AND THESE CHOKERS GAH DAYUMM 🛐🛐🛐 sometimes I forget that I'm artist and that I can draw anything I want 💀 well the only problem is will which I don't have).
I'm planning to make one for death, goth and black metal as well I'm just currently way too lazy to do anything at all so it won't be anytime soon 🤡.
He would vibe with other genres as well like pop, rap, rock etc. Anything but country music (who likes that garbage bffr💀). His music taste is pretty moody like mine, here's example he'll listen for some time to Eminem's songs than switch randomly to Lady Gaga, than something depressing and out of nowhere heavy metal just like me fr.
Here's bands I think he would like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dang it didn't let me put more pics ong okay anyways and: System of down, Linkin park, Deftones, Cannibal corpse, Ghost, Get scared, Drowning pool etc...
Probably forgot about some but when I remember I'll just edit this post.
Also he would really like goth music omfg I should write one day headcanon about him with gothic s/o (or I can just write few here but idk).He thinks goth culture is really cool though.
Goth bands he likes: Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, The cure, The cult, Christian death, The damned, Type o Negative etc... I also made gothic playlist If you are interested into it and don't know where to start :)
I'm still working on it 🦇
What else did I wanted to say ohhh as for other genre's he loves rap music but more older one's than new one's. I got a feeling he would listen too: Eminem, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop dog, 50 cent etc.
When he would be in mood for pop music he would listen too: Lady Gaga (who doesn't like her🔥🔥), Britney Spears, Lana Del Rey and Rihanna.
He'd like punk/rock and rock music too.
For punk/rock bands he would listen too: Ramones, Misfits, The damned, Green day, The clash.
And for rock: Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Ramones, The clash, The doors, Rush, Green day etc, London after midnight (Ik I put some same bands for rock and punk but it's punk/rock music so yk what I mean 😭😭😭)
(sorry my brain is fried don't mind me).
- That's all :-) -

Honestly, I always assumed All for One just gave Shigaraki his own name as part of his plan to overwrite his identity and hijack his body.
Granted, I don't know what "Tomura" means, so I could be wildly off base.
Tomura means fucking 'Funeral' so like. Theme-wise it fits Tomura/Tenko's storyline and themes more because while AfO has caused a lot of deaths it's not the focus of him if that makes sense?
Though we do know the 'Shigaraki' name is applied to AfO and Yoichi so I assume at some point they chose that name. Given that this name means something like 'Death Grip Tree' it sounds more AfO-ish to pick out. (idk I think Yoichi would've picked something a touch nicer)
tbh from a meta sense I feel like the name 'Tomura Shigaraki' was picked out specifically for Shiggy in the first place before tying the name to AfO since 'death grip tree' really fits for a guy who destroys through touch, killed his family tree, and was chosen for villainy based on said family tree. But it doesn't /quite/ fit AfO or Yoichi as much outside of talking on unhealthy codependency.

Whumptober 2023 - Day 2
Prompt: “They don’t care about you.”
Warnings: Canon-typical Violence, Self-hatred, Ambiguous Ending, Graphic Violence, Implied (possible) Character Death
Summary: The League of Villains have reached the end of the line. Tomura has to make a choice.
A/N: lake write the league in character challenge level: impossible. idk man if Horikoshi didn’t want me to love them he shouldnt have made them so likeable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ somethingsomething redemption through the love of others somethingsomething.
also this isn’t canon compliant past, like, where the anime is currently, i think? regardless, this is not a canon battle lmao
title from Foundations of Decay by My Chemical Romance lol
also on AO3 | whumptober masterlist
Somewhere far away, Toga laughs and it sounds more like a scream. From the corner of his eye, Tomura sees Spinner drop the heroling he’s got by the neck and go running towards the sound. The little brat scrabbles to his feet, tail swishing dangerously, and darts off into another part of the battle.
Tomura pays him no heed. He wants to follow after Spinner, to make sure every member of his party is still standing, but he’s still locked in a fight with the Bakugou brat and the gremlin with All Might’s quirk.
They don’t care about you.
Plus there’s that. His master’s voice at the back of his head, reminding him of things he’d rather forget. Fears that he’ll never voice.
His guard is down for a beat too long, because Deku gets too close. Tomura narrowly dodges a kick aimed for his head. He knows what he should do here. He should catch the enemy by his ankle, wrap all five fingers tight, and let his quirk do its job. He should take both of them down and end this here, in the middle of a half-decimated city, and finally complete the win conditions to achieve total victory. (Or something. His video game metaphors are hazy these days, with less and less time or energy to play them.)
He should kill them, but he’s just… so tired. This fight, as vital as it may be for the main story, feels more like a grind. Tomura can’t remember the last time he got any real rest. Certainly before they moved headquarters to join the Paranormal Liberation movement. (What are they calling themselves these days? He can’t be assed to keep track.) He almost wants to stop.
Another shout in the distance. This one sounds too much like Compress yelling something. Tomura’s stomach lurches, and he drags his attention back to his own fight just as an explosion glances off his cheek.
Bakugou makes a furious noise, though whether it’s at the fact that he missed or the fact that Tomura didn’t try to hit him while he had an opening, he isn’t quite sure.
“Either fight or die already!” he screams. For a second longer than he is willing to admit, Tomura almost considers accepting the latter option.
A crackle in his ear, a forgotten comms unit sparking to life. He throws a hand towards Deku that the boy spins away from easily. His splayed fingers narrowly brush the fabric of his hero costume, but not enough of them make contact to matter.
“Boss, Toga’s bleeding bad and Compress is down for the count,” Spinner screams in Tomura’s ear. He dodges some kind of knock-off All Might ultimate move from Deku. “Dabi’s quirk won’t keep them back forever. Baby Todoroki will get here eventually.”
If he doesn’t flay himself alive first, is the rest of that statement, but Spinner wisely keeps it to himself.
Dabi grumbles nonetheless. “I’ll decide how much I can handle, shitface.” Tomura can picture the flames getting bigger in protest. He can practically smell the burning skin and see the distinct not-pained expression that he’s making.
They don’t care about you.
It’s the only thing that remains from his master in his head anymore. A daily reminder calmly intoning from the back of his mind.
He ducks another blast from Bakugou, swings around and manages to plant a solid kick into Deku’s side. The boy turns his fall into a roll and springs to his feet with his quirk crackling around his skin. Tomura ducks to press his fingers to the dirt and disrupt the ground beneath his feet. Deku springs away just in time and sparks fill Tomura’s vision.
The explosion burns through his shirt and down to his skin, turning pale skin bright red, but he barely feels it.
“Boss! What are we doing here?”
Spinner’s desperation is nearly palpable.
Tomura dodges a fist. He’s not sure whose it is.
He’s tired.
Magne is dead. Twice is dead. Sensei is as good as gone.
“Constitution check,” he snaps out. He watches the herolings’ faces contort in confusion.
Spinner’s sigh crackles over the line. He growls. “Not fucking good!”
“There’s a spike through her stomach. Don’t know if we’ll be able to save her.” Dabi’s voice is more level. The man may be insane as the rest of them, but his skill in keeping cool under pressure is unmatched. “Compress has some kind of concussion, at the least.”
In fact, it’s too level, as if Tomura isn’t in the middle of a brawl (even if his opponent’s attacks seemed to have lessened, as if they’re showing him some strange sort of mercy) and Dabi’s not delivering the worst case scenario. Tomura wonders if there’s any skin left on his arms at this point.
He locks eyes with Bakugou, whose hard glare turns almost amused. He rears back, raising his gauntlets, and oh, Tomura knows this move well. He ducks behind a slab of broken street just as a Howitzer comes barreling his way.
Bakugou survived being stabbed through the ribs. Tomura remembers that. He survived and he got stronger, better than he was before it happened. All Might is missing a piece of his stomach, but he has yet to let it stop him completely.
Toga has a spike through her stomach — and oh, she would love the irony in that, wouldn’t she, like a stake straight through the vampire’s heart. Even if they retreat now, Dabi is right. They can’t save her, not without the Doctor. If they surrender, though, there could be a chance…
They don’t care about you.
But he cares about them. Without his master in his head, jumbling up his thoughts, Tomura can almost admit that. He cares about them, and Toga is dying and Compress could be somewhere right after. Dabi is burning himself alive the longer he hesitates.
There was a time when Tomura wouldn’t care. He thinks of Magne, how her death did little more than infuriate him at the time. He remembers Toga sniffling about it for days, remembers Twice’s dramatic wails and Dabi’s mean smile and Spinner’s righteous indignation. He had only been irritated by their moping and enraged that Overhaul thought he could get away with killing one of His party members, but they’d still been little more than NPCs to him. What has changed in the months between?
He thinks he knows the answer to that. Spending so much time with his party has made them his, and Tomura was never very good at sharing.
They don’t care about you.
Tomura isn’t sure that matters anymore.
The heroes have fallen back. Tomura wonders what Deku had to do to keep Bakugou from ambushing him. But he knows they won’t stay back for much longer. They’re just toying with him, waiting to see what he’s going to do next.
Maybe somewhere in their stupid, pure hearts, they think they’re giving him a chance. Deku talks a lot of shit about saving everyone, even him. “Saving people with a smile.” Tomura’s practically got the damn speech memorized.
Stupidly, naively, Deku believes that even villains can be saved.
“Surrender,” Tomura says into his comms.
“Wha-“
“I said surrender.” It’s sharp. An order. One that he has no doubt they’ll comply with. He can hear it in their shared inhales, in the way the smoke over the rooftops begins to lessen. “Drop the flames after I turn myself in.”
“You got it, Crusty,” Dabi says. Even Tomura can hear the strain in his voice now. He won’t last much longer.
The heroes have them cornered. Maybe it’s for the best
Tomura emerges from behind the slab of concrete and watches the two heroes in front of him straighten immediately. Neither had left their fighting stance. Tomura wonders, briefly, if there's ever a time they aren’t standing at each other’s backs anymore.
He drops to his knees and both of them make cautious steps forward. They falter as he raises his hands.
They don’t care about you.
Well, it’s not like they would be the first. Tomura wears hatred and resentment like a second skin.
“We surrender,” he says, and the words sound a million miles away. “You’ve got us. You beat the final boss.”
It’s an especially sloppy metaphor, he thinks, but it’s enough to make Deku’s fists lower.
“The fuck?” Bakugou says, eloquent as always. His hands are still raised, his feet still planted. He hasn’t yet let go of this fight, but Tomura can see the gears turning in his head. “This some kind of joke?”
Spinner curses again in Tomura’s ear. “C’mon Tomura,” he mutters, low in his ear. “She doesn’t have much longer.”
Bakugou must take his silence for a yes, because he raises a fist and starts to growl, but Deku sticks his hand out in front of him. He’s frowning and muttering to himself, but they’re still too far away for Tomura to hear.
Suddenly, Deku looks up, green eyes locking on Tomura’s as if he can stare straight into his soul. It’s not the first time that laser-focused gaze has been locked on Tomura, but it’s the first that Tomura hasn’t been too focused on fighting or himself to feel the uncomfortable weight of it.
Deku’s brow is furrowed. “Who’s hurt?” he asks, suddenly.
Tomura doesn’t answer, but there must be something in his eyes that tells Deku what he needs anyway, because he moves forward.
As he approaches, Tomura turns on his comms one last time. “Surrender,” he says again. He doesn’t give Spinner or Dabi time to respond before he rips the earpiece from his ear and tosses it towards Bakugou’s feet.
“Shigaraki Tomura, you’re under arrest,” Deku begins, moving to cuff him.
They don’t care about you.
If that was true, they could join the fucking club.

with the recent chapter, we could have seen more of tomura with vesitges since the interaction was offscreen apparently. idk if we would see it in the upcoming chapter. i hope so since i thought tomura's part was a bit rushed. i need a whole chapter dedicated to tomura pov at that moment including with the offscreen vestiges interaction..
Yeah, I agree that the execution of 423 feels really rushed. In one chapter we had: AFO realizing Tomura’s body is unstable; Izuku going within Tomura’s body and meeting vestige AFO face-to-face (which…have AFO and Izuku ever fought before??); Tomura returning WITH the vestiges courtesy of Nana saving him (but offscreen!!!); Yoichi delivering the smack down on his brother; Tomura and Izuku punching AFO together; Tomura realizing he’s dying (??) and delivering his final (??) message to Izuku. Also, Kurogiri, Aizawa, and Mic had their arc climax crammed in there, plus Bakugo returning courtesy of Shoto (but them working together was offscreen). It’s a LOT.
To me, the most egregious part is that Tomura was disintegrating after the psyche-shattering revelations from AFO and Nana SAVED him. Nana, who told Izuku to kill Tomura two times. Nana, who died decades ago. But her spirit grew strong enough that she managed to overcome her “weakness” and fix her own family tragedy. Her heroism helped Tomura re-emerge and create a new legacy and IT’S ALL OFFSCREEN.
Relatedly, Aura Might is missing entirely from this chapter. If this is the end, I really wish there had been more payoff for All Might’s vestige and, in hindsight, Katsuki’s “death.” I don’t know how we basically got a full chapter of Katsuki’s “death” and another full chapter (by panel count across 2-3 chapters) of him having open-jeart surgery, while Nana and Aura Might ended up offscreen. This is making me think there’s still more to come, because there was SO much build up, it would be an odd choice to drop it.
Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved some Tomura interaction with other vestiges like Banjo or Yoichi too. But the Shimura family tragedy is THE catalyst that sets MHA in motion. If Nana hadn’t given away Kotaro, she may not have taken Toshinori under her wing. If she hadn’t told Torino and Toshinori to stay away from Kotaro, then he may not have fallen under AFO’s influence. Tomura might not have existed.
We’ve had numerous panels of Nana sobbing with regret, saying how it’s shameful to expect a teenager like Izuku to fix her mistakes. If Nana rescued a disintegrating Tomura so he could help her and Izuku finally kill AFO? Even if Aura Might isn’t there, that’s huge. That’s Nana saying “fuck you” to AFO’s narrative and writing her own heroic ending to her story. For that to be resolved offscreen feels wrong. Justice for Nana!
