Sex headcanon

as has been explored often in other Mikami media, this guy is afraid of sex. it makes sense because sex can often exist in a gray area he seems frustrated by. that said, he is haunted by a painfully intense spit kink. it boils his blood how much he loves someone spitting in his mouth. as a kid, those bullies spat on him, and is he giving them what they wanted by dreaming about it as an adult? anyway: light yagami spit in mikami's mouth challenge.

Romance headcanon

mikami will get passionately involved in whatever his loved one is interested in, sometimes more than them. as long as his partner's okay being deluged by facts and figures about their niche obsession, they'll find his dedication endearing.

Family headcanon

i kind of love how mikami is one of the few characters with a backstory in DN and its represents a lot of opposites to Light! lower income, single mother, bullied: his sense of justice was built rather than projected onto him the way Light's daddy issues were burned into his soul. i wonder how much the mom stuff really gets to mikami, like, how often does he dream bitterly about showing her everything he's accomplished as kira? how often are those dreams about her being impressed? i doubt mikami cares about who his father is. it doesn't matter. he's not his parents.

I also really like this lumity one shot fic by them too!

And there was one fic (I can't remember the exact title) that I really loved that isn't lumity specific, but I can't find it. Plus, it wasn't completed yet. It was a Luz and Eda focused fic, post Hollow Mind episode where Luz got really physical hurt while in Belos' mind. And Eda worries over Luz at the hospital as she recovers.

So since I can't find it, I will say Ghost Of You by orphan_account even though I haven't reread it since the first time it destroyed me. One day I will reread it, when I want to feel heavy feels.

Tuvix. Petty, but Spock being related to everyone (Arthur Conan Doyle, Solkar, Surak, saw people say T'Pau and T'Pol not sure how true those are.)

Silence lasted while Gabranth dwelled on her words - both knew they were forced to return to their respective roles once they left the safety of their secret retreat. Surprisingly Ghis didn't get wind of his mistress' affair just yet - Archades brought forth countless nosy neighbors, eager to gain the attention of a magistrate and seeking to destroy Melissa's reputation. Part of him believed it had been due to him - as the head of information gathering Gabranth didn't have any qualms manipulating the very same; protecting their scandalous relationship - and subsequently Melissa - from any prying eyes.

Considering her body comfortably curled up at his side - her head resting on his shoulder; his own fingers slowly combing through her soft hair - the Judge silently endorsed her whispered desire for this moment of peace to last forever. Melissa's gentle voice put a shared yet unfulfilled wish into words. Running away with her would be everything he was searching for. In her presence he felt content - an emotion he hadn't felt in ages - grateful for the affection the Bhujerban shared with him.

The answer he wanted to give was thoroughly different from the words that came out of his mouth; breaking the sweet lingering silence with the cold truth.

"You know it is impossible." Despite understandig their complicated situation Gabranth couldn't hide the spark of sadness in his voice - a mutual feeling, given away by the disappointed sigh from Melissa's lips. Indulging in those fleeting moments of companionship and calmness they were pretending to be nothing more than acquaintances - connected only by Ghis.

The arm curled around her smaller frame brought her closer; enjoying the warmth shared between them - he would relish her company as long as possible. The minute to return to the Imperial Palace came soon enough - and with it the burden of magistrate armor back on his shoulders. "Just let us stay a little longer, honey. I need to return to my judicial duties in the morning, and Hector will arrive in Archades tomorrow. As much as I wish to stay forever - I fear I can't, Melissa. I am sorry."

(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by #and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is #You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)

I got a really tough question.

What’s your favorite Twst event of ALL TIME?

I like Harveston

this truly is the hardest question. :( but after much consideration, I think Endless Halloween Night wins out for me, because it's nonstop Characters Being Silly the whole way through. the whole thing is just lots of these little dorks having the most ridiculous interactions, which is always my favorite! and of course the big twist is SO delightfully stupid and doubles down SO hard that it becomes AMAZING and I 100% unironically adore it. AND it's Halloween! everyone is in their cute little costumes and having a spooky adventure! it's great!

however, I am ALSO a big fan of the Harveston event! how can I not be! everyone is wearing comfy winter outfits and getting along really weirdly well with Epel's grandma and he's getting a little worried about that! my terrible loud son sews a plush squirrel and then gives it a silly little nickname and refuses to leave it behind when it breaks! the ending shot with the sled! I LOVE IT.

obviously we need the best of both worlds now
