Three different people have nominated me for my college's Staff Excellence award

I only know this because when you're nominated they notify you via email and you have to click to accept the nomination

I don't get to see who nominated me so I'm over here like ???

I know the lead advisor in our department nominated me because she told me she was going to

But the other two are a mystery

But the reason I wanna cry a little is that I finally feel seen

The last time I was nominated for that was 2016 and only bc my boss was an awesome human being. I changed jobs in 2017 and again in 2019, and the job I changed to in 2019 was miserable. I wasn't appreciated at all.

And in this job I clearly am. The chair and program director seem to see my knowledge and skills and how that helps everyone. The direct supervisor mostly leaves me alone but seems pleased bc I started making an SOP manual for us, unprompted. The office assistant seems to think I know the answer to literally any question she can think of (and so far she hasn't been wrong 😂).

I just.... I want to do my job as well as I possibly can, so I do. And it finally feels like other people can see it?! Being nominated three times for this year's award cycle is very meaningful to me, regardless of whether I'm selected as a winner.
