Poly twst headcanons: Octavinelle

Relationship dynamics:

Before you barged into their lives, the three of them were already together. In fact, they started dating before enrolling at Night Raven College, but they became official after Azul’s overblot, when the Leech twins saw that not hiding wasn’t enough anymore, that the other needed the “comfort” and “security” of a label.

It was, in fact, at that point, when they sat down in Azul’s office and discussed the nature of their relationship as they noticed new feelings blooming for you. The question now was, how to proceed?

Usually they’d approach the situation like they do with everything else, by squeezing every detail they could about you, finding what were your interests, motivations, tastes in men… However, this wasn’t “everything else”; this was you; a magicless land-dweller that randomly appeared in Twisted Wonderland. This was something important! They couldn’t let their chance slip!

Cue in their chaotic attempts at trying to “seduce” you.

Their flirting style:

Azul will try to persuade you into spending more time at Mostro Lounge, be it by offering you discounts, asking you to taste test a new recipe, to show you the new chairs that got mailed that morning… You get the gist.

He’ll also try his best to look as confident and polished, but sometimes his mask will slip and you’ll get a glimpse of that anxious little octopus who’s desperate for his crush’s attention.

When that happens, don’t comment on it please, he gets enough teasing from the twins; a small break would be appreciated; also, if you showed a bit of interest in his coin collection, he’d be delighted to show it to you.

Jade, on the other hand, is smooth, and eerily elegant; as if he has everything planned out t the detail and knows exactly what buttons to push to get what he wants.

That’s not to say he’ll manipulate you, no; there’s nothing in this world he hates more than a spurious relationship. In fact, to ensure your relationship is authentic as possible, he’ll very much reveal his true colours to you, showing how much of a little shit he can be, teasing you relentlessly.

Don’t worry though, if he sees that he’s crossed a line somehow, he’ll make sure to apologize in the most Jade-like fashion possible; which is to say, giving you space and showing that he understands that what he did was too much.

Note: I don’t think he’s one to directly say sorry; he comes across more as the type to give you space and being more attentive and thoughtful from then on.

Also, be prepared for impromptu mushroom gathering hikes; if you are to become their whole world, he has to show you his favourite places, his mushroom terrarium, the most spectacular routes…

When it comes to Floyd, he acts just as usual. He won’t hide his crush on you or try to act differently; in fact, he’ll be proud to announce it to the whole world by squeezing you tight (not too tight though, don’t worry) and spinning you, peppering your face with kisses and playful nibbles, or showing you his mer form at the pool. He’s very proud of it!

In fact, he’ll probably go on an in-depth tangent on the anti-aging properties of his slime, how strong he is, the fact that he can glow in the dark…

Dating him means of course that you’ll have to deal with his constant mood swings, try not to let it get to you. If he gets annoyed or looks mad at you, he’s probably going through a lot*; talk to him when he feels better.

*I do not mean to excuse mistreatment or hurtful words by saying that one should endure it because the other is hurting, that is not what I’m implying. If someone who is hurting says or does things that make you upset, talk about it, it’s important to establish boundaries between you and other people as well as respecting them.

Displays of affection/love languages

All of them love looking after you, making sure that you don’t lack anything: Have any trouble studying? Azul will take you on study dates so that you feel confident in your skills (in exchange though, you might have to participate in long cuddling sessions with our dear octopus); someone’s giving you trouble? Floyd and Jade will make sure you know how to defend yourself and how to appear more imposing (they’ll even go on an extra mile to make sure those people don’t bother you ever again, isn’t that nice?).

Azul: He’ll send kind of mixed signals; on one hand, he wants to look suave and elegant, someone capable who can take care of you, on the other one though, he wants to be cherished and taken care of. All in all, the poor mer is a bit conflicted on how to act. One thing’s for sure though! He’ll try to cuddle you as much as possible (no, you won’t be able to get up from bed before him, you may try, but it will be impossible), and when cuddling is not possible, he’ll hold your hand or link your fingers together, to feel you close.

He’ll also show you off with pride as if saying “look at them, my incredibly capable partner, look how magnificent they are!”

As said before, Floyd will be very physical when it comes to displays of affection but he’ll also give you random things that reminded him of you. Look at this cool rock I found, it’s so pretty it reminds me of you; or you look like a weird looking fish I saw the other day.

Jade, like his brother, also enjoys giving you things, mostly souvenirs from his little trips or mountain escapades (dried flowers, unique mushrooms, carved wood figures… You name it!); but he also loves hearing you talk. He’ll ask about a topic he knows you’re interested in and watch you go off for hours nodding and smiling. As for physical displays of affection, Jade is more of a private person (like Azul); but like his twin, he’ll playfully nibble you on some occasions as well as teasing you endlessly so it is you who ends up demanding kisses.

omg ive been there before,, i failed my chem test and my avg is a 63 rn.. ☹️

praying our teachers accidentally slip & fall straight on their keyboard and somehow give us a 90 on the next tests. 😓🤲

(currently distracted by thoughts of school athlete! WOONHAK whos playing basketball at a park, sees the reader sitting on a nearby bench, [woonhak has had a crush on them for the past few months] he has some sort of spike of courage, goes “hey this is for you”, aims at the hoop, misses, proceeds to sulk, but lucky for him the reader finds him cute!!!)

okay omg gn i was abt to send this until i started thinking about soccer players SUNGHO & JAEHYUN with coaches daughter reader.. (YKWIM?? like in serenade that one lyric of ‘ill get along with your dad for you.’)

SOBBINGG imagine a father figure coach for sungho & jaehyun.. then their coach introduces his daughter as the club manager,, and they just go 😨😍. their coach obviously sees the way his two star players look at his daughter though!! more laps around the field for them 😡!!

but unfortunately for their coach, (fortunate for us. bc oh my gosh sungho and jaehyun.) jaehyun and sungho would do anything to impress their new manager.

oh my gosh wait because hear me out on this. english foreigner exchange student in korea, meets RIWOO. like what if she gets lost around the halls one day and stumbles into riwoo whos practicing some new choreo.

she goes to ask for help, but ultimately riwoo just stands there barely understanding what shes saying with his limited english and just starts laughing awkwardly and saying ‘yes!’ (i vividly remember boynextdoor tonight where he was getting interviewed in english and he just kept agreeing with the interviewer while awkwardly laughing.) he doesn’t know if hes nervous because of the language barrier, or if its because such a pretty person is standing infront of him… That day he goes straight home to call taesan in hopes to learn more English. >_<

AHH OH MY GOF imagine like like like like being dorm neighbors with TAESAN and the walls end up being a little to thin.. (without the readers knowledge..) and Taesan can’t help but hear how they both have similar music taste. if he puts a cup by the wall (which he once did) he could definitely make out some humming of NIRVANA and Oasis. Now hes in his apartment pondering how to become friends (and possibly even more!) with the reader..

now, now hear me out. elementary school leehan finds socially isolated reader at recess, eating a gummy set. like pizza, taco, hamburger type of gummy set. slowly but surely they end up bonding, thats how leehan became infatuated with gummies.. ofc leehan shared his interests with the reader too! showing his fish tank with his proud toothy grin. sadly, the reader had to move away, leaving leehan alone with a severe gummy addiction..

but oh MY? a new student enrolled in his class? they look just like the reader.. but it cant be! the new student is nothing like them.. they’re more outgoing and bubbly now, are their school supplies fish themed? its like fate brought them back together >< the reader is still inlove with gummies, but now they also have a big heart for fish and other sea animals.

omg i was supposed to just be talking abt goofy woonhak missing his shot,, dont know how it all came to this.

ATHLETE WOONHAK IN HIGHSCHOOL HAS GENUINELY BEEN ON MY MIND FOR LIKE.. EVER. like bro you don't know how often i think about that; but i actually think a few people on tumblr have written that scenario very similarly, so i was too scared to ever write about it since i don't want people to think i'm copying them AJAJS

as someone who is not into sports, i am surprising myself with how into these ideas i am cause.. bro sungho and jaehyun being soccer players PERIOD makes me blush. this is giving.. unit series.. YOU GIVE ME WAY TOO MANY IDEAS MELON MY BRAIN CAN'T ELABORATE HARD ENOUGH ON GOOGLE DOCS! but coach telling them to run more laps is so funny to me AHASJKHB like i can imagine jaehyun being like 'woah.. hey..' and sungho stepping on his foot with his cleats like 'bro stfu'

but bro you're so smart for foreigner reader. because i think i've read like two fics that were like that and i know damn well they had me swooning. and imagining that is like.. reader would walk into whatever room riwoo was practicing, and he immediately greeted her but then when he SAW her he was like ♡_♡; and reader would probably think he's judging her for her korean skills and ends up just speaking in english while hes still ♡_♡ then him pretending like he knows whats going on </3 HES SO FUCKIGN CUTE I CANT

thin walls with taesan.. bye his ass is probably so nosy he probably accidentally listens to your conversations as he is on the floor painting, but then you suddenly arent on call anymore.. and then suddenly you're listening to the music he loves.. HIS ASS IS SPRINTING TO PUT HIS EAR UP TO THE WALL (imagine the scooby doo running sound) then he probably whines to jaehyun about not knowing what to do because he feels like he's going insane.

bro reuniting tropes (idk what they're called but yk what i mean) honestly piss me off a little bit because the people are always so stupid like THEY'RE RIGHT THERE HOW DO U NOT KNOW FOR SURE!!! but the way you described it with leehan made me blush a little.. im just imagining how cute little leehan would be like im gonna pinch his cheeks and cry AGHH but i'm more surprised that he consistently liked gummies for his entire life LOLL i don't even think i remember what my favorite candy was in elementary school.

helloo!! ♡︎♡︎ school was cancelled?? You’re so lucky!! At least you get to have another break ♡︎♡︎♡︎ I didn’t really have to go to class since I have to take exams today and i have one more to take (boo) JSJSJD and it may or may not be a shock,, but I added all of them to my playlist after giving them a few listens,, really cool songs ♡︎♡︎♡︎

Winter is actually my first JUNNY song,, I found it when i looked through Yayyoung’s music but I’m thinking about seeing about his other music since I liked his voice so much.. and same! Yelloasis voice was such a nice addition to the song

and yes yes I like Yayyoung a lot AJAJS I have most of her songs in my library,, i checked her out after listening to insomnia,, her voice was just so pretty and I was like I have GOT to see if she has other music and gratefully she did SKSKDK and yo I almost recommended “do you feel like you have no one to turn to” and “if only you knew” but I went with like a sunflower instead LoL and no need to apologize I tend to do that too but yes that is definitely a song for a late night drive

I honestly forgot where I got fallin for U from but 100 percent it was from tic tock- SKSK but yes that’s exactly what I pictured to when listening to it and yes her voice is so great and I really like those types of songs and like the melody she sings it in ,, idk I just find it unique aksks

yes !! school was cancelled because there was a snow storm here last night so roads this morning were extremely dangerous for students to walk on (can confirm ! almost slipped several times yesterday and had to have a friend walk me to my bus stop because i was wearing sneakers that don't have any grit so i held onto her the entire time <3)

i also dropped a course this morning so i feel like i have a weight lifted off my chest (": it was a math course too so i'm very glad i don't need to worry about any sort of tests i need to take/whatnot and the process was so simple too (thought i would have to wait until tuesday in order to drop the course but after a few emails he was able to make the change in my schedule from home (": )

goodluck on ur exams my love omg i didn't know it was exam season for you ;0 i hope all ur exams / classes are going well my angel u got this <3 make sure to drink loads of water and get in your extra meals !!

i have not taken an exam in like .... 2 years (horrifying really) but i think if i were to have an exam thrown at me about a topic i know well i'd be fine (":

oh also update (i was planning to make this a whole rb post but i can tease it here hehe) : the seller had ONE more mark pc CRIES.... i got it just in time (": she just needs to find me a video of everything and then he will be mine which is . insanity to me because i've stanned him longer than yj but i have more yj pcs PAHAHHA it is time i build my collection (:<
