ugn I've truly started to loose my patience that one of the queerest shows ever made, featuring 3 out of 4 POC main characters, there is SO MUCH attention given by the fan community-and now even some producers influenced by said community- to the generic white guy asshole side character because he's conventionally attractive.
It's truly insulting we went through so much to get to the point television people could even tell these kind of stories of EXPLICITLY queer and non-white people, and YET so called 'fans' still make it about a generic grumpy white guy cause they're so programmed to seeing white straight presenting gruff protagonists in media they automatically flock to him, and read him with so much depth that is NOT IN THE TEXT, ignoring the utter monumental achievement of the main characters.
I'm sick of this. I'm so tired because it's so painfully obvious who sees this show as something groundbreaking and monumental for representation, and who are just licking the boots of their next white man bad boy while they word vomit all their bad faith readings of the show into the tags, being outraged when others don't feel the same way. Please go find another white boy bad boy there's about another 100 shows with them on right now. I'm so sick of the constant racist HCs or homophobic HCs at this point. At least keep them out of the main tags if that's the only take away you can get from progressive media that you STILL have to make it about your gruff little white man being a victim to POC or openly queer characters.
I'm so over it.
P.S.
This is not me giving ANYONE an excuse or free pass to harass Izzy Stan’s. I don’t believe anyone should be hurt over their character opinions. I am just expressing my general exhaustion with fandom racism and white favoritism which is so blatant when a show is structured like this. But unequivocal harm in retaliation to unintentional micro aggressions does not make a community safer.

Updating Tomorrow: Nothing to Fear
Kara remained stock still, barely daring to breathe. With a quick flick of her eyes, she scanned the area with her x-ray vision. There were sixteen hostages besides James, including Snapper Carr, and Kara knew them all. By some dark miracle, Nia wasn't here. She must have been out on assignment or conducting an interview or perhaps had simply stepped out for some innocuous reason. It itched the back of Kara's mind, the timing.
No significant injuries. No bombs, no weapons other than what they carried. The Joker himself carried only a revolver under his coat and the switchblade he was tenderly stroking against James's cheek, as if giving him an expert shave. His mirthless eyes bored into Kara.
"What do you want, Joker?"
His voice bubbled with mirthless giggles. "My face on the one dollar bill."
James flinched as the blade drew a fine line across his cheek, tiny drops of blood bleeding along its length. Kara sucked in a breath.
"I wonder," said the Joker. "How much is Superman's Pal worth to Superman's Cousin? What's ol Jimmy's measure? Your editor? The new guy? Beth from accounting?"
"Let them go," said Kara. "They have no part in this."
"They were here," said the Joker.
"If it's me you want, I'm here."
"You really think I'm going to throw away my insurance policy?" said the Joker. "I know you're fast, but how fast? Faster than a speeding bullet, but what about ten? Twenty? Can you catch them all and stop me from putting a smile on his widdle face?"
For emphasis, the Joker clamped his free hand on James's chin and gave it a little shake. James kept his expression flat, neutral. He practically ordered her: Stop him, don't worry about me.
She didn't dare move.
"Are we going to stand here all night, or are you going to get to the point?"
"You talk a big game," said the Joker, "but you've got a lousy poker face, Supergirl. You've got a tell. Crinkle." He tapped the center of his forehead.
Kara schooled her face still, fighting the revulsion swirling in her stomach.
"I'll ask you again. What do you want?"
The Joker's rictus grin went slack, pulling his features in a clownish, maudlin frown. "Oh, you think this is about a ransom? Okay, fine. I want two billion dollars, a Rolls Royce Phantom II, two helicopters, and an egg salad club with a slice of tomato and bacon. Oh, wait, that's Harvey."
He giggled.
Kara took a step forward. "Don't test me, clown."
"Oh, you see, that's why I'm here," said the Joker. "This isn't about money, Supergirl. I'm not here to rob banks. I'm here for a deeper purpose. A favor to an august colleague, taken from us before his time. ROSCOE!"
One of the Joker's men stepped forward and began, badly, playing a violin.
"Poor Lex Luthor. Can you imagine the ignominy, the shame? After all the work he put into being such a perfect arch enemy, the big blue boy scout just dumps him and leaves. Now, I ask you, did Lexie-Poo deserve that? Imagine what must have gone through the poor guy's head. Not only did his rival fob him off on you, the distaff counterpart, you weren't even the one to finish him off! Lex Luthor, the Great Alexander of Our Time, the Man of Tomorrow, genius philanthropist playboy scientist and fully functioning homicidal artist, shot dead by a woman who got the drop on him. Lex, killed by a secretary."
Kara's blood ran cold, and the world tilted around her.
Did he mean Lena? How did he know that?
"Oh yes, I know," said the Joker. "Lex left me a bequest, to be laid at my feet in the event of his untimely passing. A great treasure, a bounty of secrets that are mine, and mine alone."
Kara swallowed, or tried to, and found her throat going dry.
"Say, how's Mom, by the way? Did she make it to your last Earth Birthday?"

Bayo 3/Persona 5 Au Pt. 1
So I have some loose ideas for Bayo 3/Persona 5. I've been thinking it over a lot trying to make everything work. There are a few things I've nailed down, but others not so much. Let me know what you guys think, and feel free to add your own suggestions! There's a lot here, so I'll split it up into two parts. No major spoilers in this post, but proceed at your own risk nonetheless
So you know the upcoming mobile spinoff, Persona 5: The Phantom X? I was thinking that the protagonist of that game, who I'll just call Wonder for convenience's sake, could be Viola. The owl mascot Luffy(or is it Luffle?) could be Cheshire
Luffy has three forms: a good luck charm that hangs from Wonder's weapon, a small anthropomorphic owl, and a large, terrifying owl demon
Wonder and Luffy team up with the rest of the Phantom Thieves to save the multiverse from Singularity
Something about Wonder calls out to Joker, but he can't figure out what
The Phantom Thieves travel from universe to universe to find Chaos Gears. They find other versions of themselves and new demon allies
Each universe they travel to has a different Joker and maybe two other thieves
For example, in the first alternate universe they visit (I would switch Tokyo with New York and vice versa) there's the Street Smart Witch Joker as well as Ryuji and Ann, who are killed right before they arrive. They then meet Seiten Taisei and Hecate, who agree to help, for a while
So the second-tier personas (ultimate personas in vanilla p5) are the temporary-contract demons who become fully accessible when the world they're introduced in is destroyed
As you might remember, in my au the number of demons a witch can contract with is directly related to their power. So this would demonstrate each thief growing stronger
When Joker performs the Deadly Sin ritual, he calls forth a third-tier persona, a demon's true and ultimate form. Imagine if you will:
"The power that bound this world is now mine, and its inevitable demise is moments away," Singularity spoke through the mouth of the Arch-Pyrocumulus. "And while I have no further use for this shell... There's time for a bit of amusement. Perhaps I'll simply crush you all like insects right now." He flew into the air, but as he sailed among the clouds, savoring his imminent victory, he heard it. "DO O IA JOKER! CNILA D COMSELHA ODO ANANAEL! TURBS C BABALON ZONAC CIAOFI BALZARG! FAFEN NIIS!" From beneath the clouds, a figure emerged. It was in the form of a humanoid man, but he was many times the size of even Arch-Pyrocumulus. He wore a sharp red suit and had yellow razor claws at the end of his fingers. Mechanical wings in the shape of a bat spread out behind him. In the rim of his fedora stood Joker, holding his disembodied heart and smirking. "What was that about crushing? I think you'll find we're extremely game for that." The demon lounged in the clouds, taking the cigarette out of his mouth and blowing a large plume of smoke. Raoul, King of Thieves, grinned dangerously. This was going to be fun.
I thought that perhaps it would make the most sense that this incarnation of the Deadly Sin Ritual would fuse two demons together to get the ultimate form, just like in Persona. For example, Joker performs the ritual using Captain Kidd and Seiten Taisei to awaken William
I'm trying to include everyone in this but it's proving difficult
Part two coming soon, hopefully, tomorrow!

Harvey Dent bullet points
(AKA, why Two-Face is the best Batman villain, AKA why I am so freaking excited that Misha is playing this role.)
Disclaimer: I haven't kept up with DC for the last fifteen years, but the character has eighty years of history (one of the original Batman rogues from the 1940s), so surely some of this is still relevant.
Harvey Dent was a fiery, crusading DA whose objective was to take down organized crime in Gotham. A good man. A hero, even. But a mob boss he was prosecuting horribly scarred one side of his face with acid, and he had a psychotic break, becoming the vigilante, and then villain, Two-Face.
His gimmick was crimes involving the number 2, but his shtick was making crucial decisions by flipping a two-headed coin--one side pristine, one side marred. If the scarred head came up, he chose to do evil; if the other, good. This made him fantastically unpredictable--he's still a villain so he does the bad thing 80% of the time, but there's still that other 20%, and it's totally random. (And wasn't there a storyline, or perhaps just a fanfiction, where Harvey flips the coin and says, Okay, it's clean, guess I have no choice but to be a hero--but then we the readers see that the coin actually landed scar-side-up?)
In their youth, he and Bruce Wayne were best friends. (I think some continuities have it as childhood, others as college/young adults.) They were best friends! They were best friends. They were BEST friends. Bruce has never forgiven himself for failing to save Harvey from his insanity. (Have fun, slash fans.)
He knows that Bruce Wayne is Batman. I think that's because he knew Bruce so well that he recognized him. I'm not sure why he canonically hasn't told the whole world.
He has a tragic, tortured romance with his wife, Gilda. In the '40s it was the classic "How can she love someone so hideous?" trope (of course she still loved him, but he couldn't believe it). Apparently in recent continuities she was secretly a serial killer??? And Harvey took the rap for her crimes??? (Have fun, het fans.)
In his most-used back story, he had an abusive father, who used to threaten him as a child: "I'll flip a coin. Heads, I beat you; tails, I don't." This is the same two-headed coin that Harvey now uses. (Cheesy, maybe, but so chilling.)
In some more recent storylines, the childhood abuse made him develop dissociative identity disorder. So the psychotic break was not because of the acid attack; it happened earlier and the attack brought a more protective personality state back in charge.
Bonus bullets for Gotham Knights-specific stuff that I would love to see Misha sink his teeth into:
The GK premise is that Batman has been murdered, and his adopted (Mary Sue) son and some Bat supporting family/baby villains are framed for it. WIDOWER ARC Harvey. And there's obviously a good chance that Harvey is the actual killer. Remember that post about the best trope being "Your arch-nemesis is dead in your arms and you suddenly realize nothing in the world matters when he's gone"? Yeah. That.
Duela Dent is in the main cast. I did some Googling and apparently this character is ALL over the place and isn't actually Harvey's daughter in the latest continuity (like her shtick is pretending to be the daughter of any Batman villain--the Penguin's Daughter, etc.--but she's actually from a parallel reality where her father is the Joker but he's the hero?). But there's not much point in having them both on the show if he's not her father or father-figure. So we'll get Dad!Misha, only this time father and/or daughter will be evil or mentally disturbed or both. BRING IT.
I fully expect that 90% of Gotham Knights will be focused on the kiddies, but Misha being main cast rather than guest implies he's the anchor villain or anti-hero, so he should have plenty of meat to work with.
