Nyra’s reaction to Bernadette’s death.

Nyra knew almost immediately.

Don’t get it mixed up, it’s not like archangels are all connected somehow.

Nyra just… felt it. There was a shift in the universe, in her universe.

Everything suddenly felt empty. Hallow. Meaningless.

She closed her eyes and tried to focus, focus on atoms, on souls, and… Bernadette’s isn’t there.

Her eyes snap open and a feeling of dread washes over her.

Cold, she feels cold. No… she’s freezing.

Nyra’s hands move up to her arms and she hugs herself.

She looks down at her tattered clothes and ends up feeling even worse.

That’s right… her and Bernadette had fought. Physically fought, not verbally.

…How stupid was she? She decided to fight Bernadette, knowing that Bernadette was already in a physically weak state, and for what? To prove a point that no longer matters?

God is dead now. ‘Celeste’ is meaningless.

Bernadette is dead now. Everything is meaningless.

Nyra grips at her hair, fingers painful tangling into her locks, fingernails harshly digging into her scalp.

Yet she feels nothing.

Bernadette was right. About everything.

And Nyra was more than willing to listen to Bernadette’s word after the discovery of God’s death. Nyra was willing to follow Bernadette, but now she’s dead too… no. Bernadette isn’t just dead, she’s completely and utterly gone from existence.

This is unfair.

Nyra takes a deep breath.

Distraught and panic won’t help, it won’t progress anything.

She slowly gets to her feet, her knees feel wobbly, but that’s the least of her worries.

Staring up at the endless sea of stars, she’s briefly wonders, ‘What would God do? No… God was a lie. What would Bernadette do? No, no, that’s not right either.’

‘What would I do?’

‘Who even am I? I’m not ‘Celeste.’ Celeste was a creation of God.’

With that, Nyra knew what needs to be done. Kind of. She’s still a bit uncertain, but now is hardly the time for hesitation.

The conversation with that lower angel, giving them one of the shards left over from God’s core, the confrontation with Azrael…

She is no longer ‘Celeste.’ She is Nyra. And Nyra doesn’t take commands from others, Nyra chooses her own path.

Right now, what matters is saving as much life as she can, and taking down Satan.

Nyra is her own person, she’s aware of this now, and yet… there’s still that part of her that thinks of Bernadette for inspiration whenever she feels stuck.

She wishes Bernadette were still here, to see her progress, to help her, and… to just be with her.

I restarted reading I’m the Grim Reaper again after like 3 years and you’re telling me that CHASE IS FUCKING DEAD????? I DID NOT BINGE READ 110 EPISODES ON ONE DAY JUST FOR HIM TO FUCKING DIE!!!! The thumbnails were fucking clickbait and here I was thinking Zero is actually Chase but nope he’s dead! CHASE WHAT THE FUCK YOU DONT CONFESS YOUR LOVE TO SOMEONE AND THEN FUCKING DIE!!! WHAT THE HELL MAN???

Dr. Ivanov ✨M.D.✨ Brook never change. Him going to judah’s lair and literally being tortured and maimed and told that no one was coming for him? If judah has no haters then I’m dead. Like the poor boy was shaking and sobbing and worst of all Brook believed him!!! Scarlet telling him that she wasn’t gonna leave him was so heartwarming and then she does leave him and that hurt.

Scarlet, poor thing went though so much like after getting out of the ninth circle she’s already traumatized and then judah screws with her even more, SHES TREMBLING WHEN JUDAH TELLS HER FO TAKE OFF HER SHIRT!! And then she finally remembers her mom and she has the pictures and the fucker BURNS THE HOUSE TO THE GROUND?????

All in all I am not okay my brain is scrambled and I have yet to process everything.
