Six sentence sunday!
It’s not sunday anymore but I’m just gonna ignore that because i didn’t have any time yesterday to write this post but I do have something to share!
Thank you @monbons and @thewholelemon for tagging me!!
Some days ago i picked up this old wip for an instagram reel. I started the first frame in February, so don’t expect it to be done anytime soon😭
The reel is gonna be in a cartoon style, because even though I’m not used to drawing cartoon, it’s still quicker than drawing realistic.
Heres the first frame:
Aaaannd heres the second frame, the one I’ve been working on recently:
For those wondering: Fionas drinking an entire pot of coffee like the maniac that she is.
Fyi the backgrounds aren’t finished yet
.

.
And for the few who are interested in my art in general, even something thats non simon snow related, theres some bonus content under the cut :D
This is a sketch of my oc whispering concepts to her keen eared statue. The hushed words shall start a revolution >:)))

hihi! do you possibly have any recs for media with girl robots? (glados portal and elster signalis are about all ik and i need to broaden my horizons)
THE FALL PART 1!!! I adore ARID. That one is a short puzzle game where you play as an autonomous combat suit, who’s operator is unconscious and dying. So she’s taken complete control of the body, and jumping through hoops and breaking rules to get him medical attention. She’s a very interesting character. Theres also a part 2, which I enjoy but forgot to finish
Sea of Rust by Robert Cargill is another one with a girl robot protagonist. She’s a scavenger in a post apocalyptic, post robot uprising wasteland, trying to get parts to repair herself. Its very very good. Big fan.
Entropy Centre is a portal-like gimmick puzzle game, where your tool gun has an onboard ai assistant, named Astra. She’s kind of one note, and always chipper and upbeat, but she’s very cute and also gay
I Am Mother is a movie (on netflix iirc) about an ai raising the next generation of humanity after an apocalypse, and follows her relationship with her, and her daughter, until someone else shows up at their bunker, and proves to the daughter that Mother is wrong about the extinction of humanity, and the inhospitability of the surface. Pretty decent movie! I have a liiiittle bit of beef with it though because I think it has some unsubtle bad opinions about abortion and the obligation of motherhood.
Vast Horizon is a podcast I’m still in the process of listening to, but as of season 2, its really really good. Following a human waking up on an abandoned, damaged spaceship, with no one but the onboard ship ai to help her. And while the ship ai genuinely cares about her friend’s well being, she is limited by her failing systems, and the many rules imposed upon her.
Aaaaand I still havent played them but I feel obligated to nudge System Shock at you. Shodan is one of the legendary girl ais.
This is all I can think of currently, but I’ll rb this later if I think of more, but I’m trying to only include ones who spend a lot of time with the girl robot

how do you handle genetics if you do at all in your art
Great question! I'm actually quite the cats genetics nerd and typically when I design my own cat ocs, I go for accurate, realistic genetics. Genetics in ClanGen don't _quiiite_ work that way though, and since I like staying pretty close to the in game sprite's patterns, I'm forced to do the genetics for SporeClan with body/fur shape only.
Since we don't have any SporeClan cats with two in game generated parents as of yet, I made a brand new clan and picked a family from there!
I usually try to take a mix of traits from both parents, or go somewhere in between. These two parents here are pretty different, so combined with their already wildly different coat patterns, the siblings look pretty different from eachother. I hope you can still see what I'm trying to portray, though!
One of my FAVOURITE things to do when designing families is giving some of them a unique trait, like the fully pink nose Aphidpeak has passed on to Bubblingspeck, or the full back stripe that both Softrock and Jellyfishfeather inherited from Cypressplume. Also, when cats have parents that are agouti(ticked)/bengal but doesn't inherit the pattern, I still like to include things like the dark feet. I also do this sometimes with white spotting, such as the rings on Softrock's tail.
LASTLY, I do sometimes mess with how I portray the patterning.
Usually when I draw most patterns, I'll draw their underbelly colours with my regular brush, giving them harder lines. But with Softrock, I opted to airbrush in her lighter underbelly, a thing I usually only do with agouti cats, as a nod to her parents. I'll also often mess with just how much the lighter colour goes up (for example, Mousegrove and all her kits have a high amount of the lighter colour, while Dawnpelt and Minklake have barely any)
Anyways, I think that's all.... it's all I can come up with for now, at least :') Hope my ramblings are at least somewhat coherent!

how was saw x
i keep meaning to watch all of them but I never find the time
I honestly enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting!! I won't say much for consideration of those who still want to watch it without spoilers, but I can say the movie included a part (arguably, multiple parts) that I have ALWAYS wanted to see in a saw movie and it was so thrilling seeing it.
I made a letterboxd a while ago and wrote a review and just... lmao
Also no shame in not being able to see all of them, it's a long process & the movies really meld together in your mind especially if you watch them so close together (4 & 5 are basically the same movie in my mind and to be fair their stories like- go off one another yk so it makes sense). Chronologically you would only need to watch Saw 1 to watch Saw X since it takes place after that movie (and before Saw 2) but imo I preferred having the context of the rest of the movies because there's some nods back to from the older movies that make more sense if you watch the series.

I don’t think I can wait until next year for this game tbh Everything I learn about it has me sick to my stomach with anxiety and worry bro. I just need them to send me the whole script right now I cannot make out where anything is going and it’s driving me up the wall and away from everything completely 🫠
ok NOW i think you're overreactin a bit- in my most humble of opinions anyway
what we've gotten from 8 so far from the latest summit is that proposing of some kind's happening: that's it. it's WAY too early and we have WAY too little information to say what's even going on
as for gaiden, same boat: we have virtually no idea what's happening. there's the fall summit to hopefully try and give more information, but i don't think you should shelf the game entirely just yet
