Matt hums, leaning back on his sofa chair, repeating the words for good measure. He pulls the mic away as he thinks, then brings it back, "you know what, I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing people," he starts, "but-"

The crowd cheers.

Matt smiles and releases a chuckle, waving the mic around, "but," he carefully says, "I have recently watched Vampire in the Locker for the first time."

The crowd cheers again.

"Yeah, and thought y/n was absolutely fabulous in it."

Someone in the crowd says loudly, "same!"

The crowd, along with Matt, laughs. He straightens up and points, "that person gets it!"

this isnt as long as before but i just cannot stop thinking about this, why i dislike story and lore boils down to these main point

--the ending feels unsatisfying as hell even if i ignore everything i dont like about how the game treated zelda and ganondorf, the ending itself just feels, despite being presented as super epic an touching, incredibly empty to me and part of it is that it feels like an unearned return to status quo of course i didnt think zelda would stay a dragon and i actually wanted to help her, which is why i kept trying to hunt down impa since she said shes gonna search for a way for us to help zelda, bc i wanted to!! i was eager to help her!

i fully hoped and kinda expected that thered either be some kind of dragon dungeon (think, the water dragon from okami) tho that would be difficult since you can get items from her so i ended up thinking before going into the end thered be a mission with impa (or at least given to you from her) where she found answers in ancient scripts (that she told you she would look through) and that you need to find a special lil thing that will help zelda undragonfy, like some sort of ultra secret forbidden enigma stone able to reverse dragon transformations kinda deal (golden opportunity to make you go and talk to the yiga bc they might know or even own some ancient texts) that youd keep in your inventory until the very end and after you kill dragondorf (pretty mortal for becoming an immortal dragon huh) you take it out and use it, undragonfying zelda and ending in a similar epic falling and paralel to the beginning way

... and instead impa stays in the house and only has a few repeating dialog boxes and does nothing and you cant do anything bc in the end you just get randomly teleported (and stripped of your clothing AGAIN) into some weird ethereal plane somehow?? with the ghost of long ass dead sonia and apparently not as gone as i thought rauru (seriously i felt sad when he went poof at the end of the tutorial but i guess i shouldnt have) awkwardly blasting dragon zelda with some magic tm and its all reversed no problem (heck me for caring i guess) turns out helping her was killing an evil guy we never really knew and mineru just kinda says lol its bc time and light magic i guess lol as an explanation

like i really wanted to go and help zelda! i was motivated to do it and spent HOURS trying to find impa again but i wasnt allowed to do anything bc zelda gets saved by some deus ex machina bs in the end anyway, what a fool i was, of course killing the evil guy is the solution to everything >:( (and no i dont care if its meant as in uwu sonia and rauru wanted to help one last time uwu bc it doesnt change how unsatisfying it was to watch it all just kinda happen)

--point two is just how much totk feels like its trying to REPLACE botw instead of being a sequel, its not building on anything of it its ripping out the fundation and building its own thing in its place, like i was so excited to see what happened to the titans, and all the sheikah tech what they mabe had done in all that time now that theres a tech enthusiastic girl as the head of the monarchy, maybe even find out more about them and instead its just all ... gone with not explanation? theres isnt even a LAME explanation, its just gone?? you never find out what the ancient energy actually was, and why there were concentrations of it in the regions with the ancient furnace (well heck it didnt even have anything to do with ganondorf actualyl bc that would have been too interesting) bc that was so intrigueing?? like yeah where DID it come from and why is it there ?? and oh suddendly hey look theres an even MORE ancient and even MORE advanced civilization thats way COOLER and BETTER than the ancient sheikah now, they also built stuff everywhere and have been here ALL ALONG cant you see its everywhere!! and its the only thing everyone cares about all of the sudden, all evdidence of the ancient sheikah tech was scraped of the earth so there literally only being some guardian parts on top of the hateno lab feels like an oversight now bc everything lese was to thourohgly wiped of the map- for no reason even?? like im totalls fine with it being useless and not working anymore but .... why remove it like it was wiped from history?? and then they have the gall to mention the happenings of botw like, twice in the entire game but still just give you the most basic summary of it mentioned on a sidenote with again not even a hint what happened to all of it

wouldnt there have been the golden opportunity to use it to access the new parts and map points that changed?? like a shrine thats fallen into the underground, an access to caves and the underground in the broken and collapsed elevator tube of a sheikah srhine?? maybe even a broken interior of an old shrine, like the room you get put into with the puzzle and where the monk once were broken and half overgrown in the udnerground? some left over construction site where you can see oh thats how the ancient sheikah got all that tech underground, bc they all had access to it and built it there to then rise up when its needed? maybe even making use of the old sonau sites since they frequnetly built their srhines within those ruins?? that the ancient sheikah found em and put the ruins to use? to research it and built their own stuff from it? it wouldnt have to have any focus, literally just part of the enviroment even

really everything totk does is like -forget botw ever happend, look how much cooler and better i am, who cares about sheikah stuff sonau are the new cool guys that came out of nowhere but now apparently have been everywhere all along actually-

i LOVE botw and with it feeling much more like its attempting to replace botw instead of building its story and world further every reference to botw i found felt like a slap in the face instead, oh look where the shrine of life used to be isnt even a hint left of sheikah tech somehow, and also right under it is the lake of healing filled with sonau structure bc ACTUALLY they were here FIRST bc they are so cool omg you guys

dare i say it feel a little like they wanted to make an entirely different version of botw basically, but wanted to reuse the map and models so they just said yeah uhhhh its totally a sequel yeah yeha that makes sense, its not erasing botw and doing essentiall the same thing again but bigger cooler and better (tm) its just uuh a ...sequel ye.

Ok I see ppl on Tumblr talking Abt how much they liked the final episodes but honestly I was severely underwhelmed by the fionna and cake ending. If you don't want to see me just list out everything I like and dislike and why according to my arbitrary personal preferences scroll now.

The second half of the fight with scabby was meh and repetitive. At least the gumlee was cute. Fionna is still the bestest even if her final fight kinda sucked. I love her dearly and I hope she is living her best life.

The lack of Ooo Marceline in the end was literally so disappointing too I wish we could've seen her again at SOME point.

And just in general the ending felt really rushed, I feel like if they had some more episodes to work with it would've been a lot smoother.

Simons pov was just so severely underwhelming, it just felt like filler to me.

I literally didn't care if it was going to be happy or sad ending for Simon as long as it made me feel things like the last couple of episodes did but it just felt totally flat. It didn't really feel like an ending at all. I wouldn't even mind the breakup angle they took under normal circumstances if it wasn't for the fact he like. Literally spent 12 years basically being in a constant mental breakdown, and a thousand years before that subconsciously searching for her, and her literally driving herself to insanity and becoming golb to keep him safe, but wow suddenly everything's chill cuz he played a video game. Ok. Simon just realized that whoops he didn't always take Betty's feelings into account and they parted ways.

And I will repeat: I DO NOT MIND THE BREAK UP ANGLE. IT MAKES SENSE OBJECTIVELY. HOWEVER. IT FEELS LIKE THERE WAS LIKE. TWO MINUTES OF THOUGHT PUT INTO IT. DEFINITELY NOT SUPER HEARTSTRINGS PULLING TO ME. DO NOT GET IN MY COMMENTS BEING WELL ACTKULLY THIS IS JUST ME COMPLAINING ABOUT CARTOONS.

I liked the golbetty in the bus and the golbetty statue. I could bs something about them going their separate ways on a journey the other can't go on and insert trigun quote here about how the ticket to the future is always blank but I just really like golbetty. She's great shes monsterous she's perfect.

Just in general Simon and Betty felt off to me during the final episodes, I can't really put my finger on it but they just felt weird. I'm sure Betty's been doing a lot of thinking in the void and all but it still fell to the left of them I think. The whole time I was watching I was just like. Hm.

Edit: got it. Betty has always been wanting to keep Simon thinking about her. Always. With AI Betty head she flat out said "I knew it would drive you crazy but at least you'd always be thinking about me" and it's like a core thing she does stuff for the Dramatics. While you can argue she's been doing a lot of thinking in the void and matured because of it she's also been a goddess of CHAOS. If anything she's gonna go more loony rather than more mature.

Not to sound like a doomed crazy yuri enthusiast but there are literally no normal or healthy actions you can take after literally becoming a god for someone.

Maybe I'm just too committed to the bit but I'm a solid believer that if you start a weird fucked up path you gotta end on a weird fucked up note. Although the severe disappointment of nothing happening is probably the most fucked up thing they could do to me.

Ik it's supposed to be some sometimes life doesn't give you a tidy ending stuff but also this is fiction I get enough fuck yous like this from reality and ignored job applications I want my fuck yous from fiction to be not sadly vague. Or at least better written.

Apparently I have autism so now Kyoko has autism. Sorry I don't make the rules, I just enforce them

Assorted Kyoko headcanons below:

First of all Kyoko has no idea she has autism until she's an adult. I don't think her grandfather even considered it when she was younger

        

Since she lived with him since she was 6, her special interest is in detective work. She also genuinely loves mystery stories outside of that

        

Also she says she’s secretly passionate about coffee, which she must’ve picked up from her grandfather. She probably has particular brands she prefers and has her own coffee maker because it’s her lifeblood, and can give a full analysis on whatever cup she tries if you ask

        

I can’t confirm but it seems like Kyoko doesn't have any friends at the all-girls school outside of Yui in DRK when she's 13, so yeah. Probably kept to herself for most of her time in school as a kid because she wasn't encouraged to make friends, and her main focus was on becoming a detective

        

This definitely leads to her talking to everyone like they're an adult coworker, regardless of age

        

When she first joins Hope’s Peak she barely speaks to anyone unless prompted to. Multiple students probably think Kyoko dislikes them because of that and how direct her responses can be, but she warms up to the rest of the class over the course of the months and some mandatory group activities

        

And she doesn’t like small talk, like she says in-game. I feel like she was raised thinking there had to be a clear point to conversations, and gets actively frustrated/confused when people try to talk to her about meaningless things

        

Even though she came to Hope’s Peak just to settle things with Jin, she avoids him like the plague and barely speaks to him the whole first year. Every time she considers it she realizes that’s a lot of emotional baggage and does not know how to deal with it, so avoids it entirely instead. During the break she has more time to think and over the course of the second year, they're on speaking terms

        

She stims without really knowing it. When her hands are free she's either fiddling with her braid, her sleeves, or thumbing over the studs on her gloves. She also bounces her leg sometimes if she's working at her desk

And her hands. First of all in DRK it does say her nerves weren't damaged, luckily. But look with how scarred they still visibly are in DR1 and the fact that she was caught in a literal explosion I call BS. I imagine there's some permanent damage and the gloves help deal with the sensitivity

        

She probably deals with random pains and involuntary movements that get better over the years, but still deal with occasionally dropping/knocking over things

        

She can do most things fine, but writing can be difficult/painful. She still feels the need to take notes on anything important, so that doesn't stop her, but her handwriting is slightly hard to read unless she writes slowly. When she's older she probably figures out it's easier to use a computer

        

She hates any sort of loud or sudden noise. Just in general I think she loves being in silence and finds it comforting, but usually uses quiet music when she’s working. (Once she gets her hands on some noise-canceling headphones tho… she’ll never take them off and you might never hear from her again)

        

She really likes the dark too. Like in her own house she would hardly have the lights on when she isn’t reading or working bc she loves sitting in the void, it’s just relaxing

        

And she gets real attached to her personal belongings. She doesn’t own much but keeps the things she gets forever. Gifts are like prized possessions to her. And even with things like her work shirts, she will be personally hurt if one of them gets stained or torn. As soon as she can fix it she’ll calm down but she’s very protective of her stuff

        

She takes getting hurt or betrayed very seriously too. Even just opening up to someone is a big step, so if she trusts you and you break it the rejection sensitivity hurts bad. She’ll get very upset and shut down emotionally, completely avoiding you until she can process her feelings (Like did u see how she treated Makoto for keeping one thing to himself once she didn’t even wanna eat in the same room with him at breakfast)

        

She hates crowds and loud spaces, she finds them both overwhelming and irritating and will not hesitate to find a way to leave or step out for a while if she can. If she needs to she’ll endure them anyway but anyone who knows her does not expect her to stay long at most events

        

And she finds the heat unbearable. She will complain internally if it's anything above 80 degrees, and it probably makes wearing her gloves uncomfortable. (Also when Makoto mentions how humid it is in the garden room she immediately says it's pretty uncomfortable and leaves)

        

She loves the cold tho, like she actively enjoys snowy weather and looks forward to it every year. And in general she keeps her room at like icebox temperatures

        

She admits she likes plain cereal for breakfast already so… I don’t need to elaborate. Kyoko probably has like five meal options she cycles between but basically still eats the same thing everyday. Especially if she lives on her own I think she has no idea how to cook beyond anything w basic instructions so she’ll buy 20 packs of something premade or microwaveable and hope it’ll last her some weeks

        

Also Kyoko gets so offended when you ask if she likes cup ramen and she says the thought of it makes her ill so… probably certain kinds of tastes and smells she cannot handle(Edit: Like coriander. Whether that's cilantro or the spice is up to your imagination!). Like she mentions being sensitive to fragrances so perfumes probably give her a headache if they’re too strong

        

And I think she does the thing of always looking like she frowning slightly about something, but not because she’s upset, just because there’s always some slightly uncomfortable sensation outside the comfort of her room. Either that or a blank stare, depending on her mood

so blue, blue was the guy who managed to bring everyone together after being away from each other for too long. all he wanted was to be with his best buds and thats all. however him slowly getting the hints that red and jaide MMMIIIGHT BE INTO EACH OTHER IS A BIG WHAT THE HELL MOMENT FOR HIM bro wanted reunite with his childhood best friends but childhood best friends are now having MATCHING BRACELETS WHAT ABOUT ME GUYS 🥲🥲🥲 AKDLFKFJS part of him thought this was complete bs because red willingly put himself in mt. silver for years and suddenly he's gonna get a girlfriend before him?!?!?? what!!!!! dude said i pulled a bad bitch by being au- /JJJ

but despite the initial shock i think part of blue is really proud of red because blue knows how socially awkward he is and he's not the best with people - so seeing him at least be with someone he can fully trust and be in love with is certainly a development that he hopes nothing but the best for. i think blue would try his best to help red out too! blue is quite fashionable, can totally see him helping red find a nice outfit for their casual stroll date :D

as for jaide, i think jaide would just constantly send or tell stuff to blue about how cute red is 😭 shes not immune to being so gushy abt her big bf 💔💔 will probably send pics of red sleeping on her lap and shes fuckign crying on pokemessenger or whatever the hell JALSKSJDJJSKA over all blue says yes i approve ☝️

Protag Teruya AU - Akane Taira Design

Hello, Akane. I heard you were suppose to be dead.

Since Teruya being the Protag would change certain aspects of the plot, even without the Wheel of Fate playing a factor in who lives and who dies when, I had to figure out how certain plot elements of SDRA2 canon would find it’s way into the AU’s plot. Namely, who joins Rei in trying to stop the killing game from happening in the prologue and how the Divine Luck gets involved. And my brain supplied with, “Hey, since Akane has Divine Luck, just make her survive thanks to that and not be brain dead, and have her help the Kisaragi Foundation on this one mission to save Yuki and Teruya.” And I went, “Fantastic idea, can’t wait for the angst.”

As you can see by looking at Akane’s eyes, she is...NOT doing well mentally. The girl has bags under her eyes and is missing her pupils because she’s very much dead inside. After all, she did sacrifice all of her friends for the sake of her Master Utsuro in the hopes of making him happy, even going as far as to join the Ultimate Despair even though she really didn’t like them. And as she starts to die from her wounds, Utsuro gives her Divine Luck before the island sinks underwater, which allows her to survive from drowning and ends up washing onto shore. She’s eventually found and treated at a hospital, but she’s in complete despair at the realization that she outlived her own master. I won’t go into full details but she eventually leaves the hospital, wanders around for a bit and ends up in the care of a middle-aged man named Kanato Chikafuji, an OC of mine who runs an orphanage and is very kind to both the kids and Akane. He pretty much helped her get her back on her feet while providing a safe place she can always return to.

Which is also why Akane looks pretty clean compared to Utsuro. Kanato encourages her to take better care of herself, even if she “doesn’t have to,” and she at least feels a little better whenever she does. Akane ends up taking a maid-like appearance once more, if only because she’s trying to put distance between herself and Kanato due to the guilt she has for what she’s done up to this point. But Kanato isn’t having any of the “master” BS and keeps asking her to at least use “-san” instead of “-sama” if she’s going to keep being formal with him. Even when she finally allows herself to grow closer to him and the orphans, she still keeps up this appearance as she helps with the cleaning and cooking due to Kanato’s bad leg and some of the older kids struggling to help due to past injuries from an incident. Akane isn’t always around as she wanders around Japan to use the Divine Luck to help undo the damage the Despairs caused, to try and redeem herself from everything she’s done. But she always comes back to the orphanage if she ever feels like she wants to rest. The raincoat is based off of Yuki’s coat a little bit but I made the design different to differentiate her from Yuki. It’s also a gift from Kanato and the kids from the orphanage and she treasures it very much.

As for how Akane manages to get her way onto the mission to rescue Teruya and Yuki...let’s just say a certain journalist managed to get his hands on some information he shouldn’t have and posted it everywhere he could. Which is how she found out about Teruya’s missing status and realized, “Oh shit, he’s in danger. I gotta help him!” Akane never met up with the others as she understood that they would NOT be happy to see her. But after hearing the news, she decides that if she wanted to make things right, she had to at least help them get Teruya back into safe hands, even if they would rather execute her on the spot. It’s not like they could as the Divine Luck user anyways. And upon realizing that she DOES have the Divine Luck, both Rei and Kinjo would be pissed but the latter is much more willing to use her as a tool to make sure Teruya comes back safely. As for Yuki, Akane did try to look for him to wake him up from the coma she and Utsuro put him in, but he was already gone by the time she went back to the hideout they hid him in. She had hoped someone had brought him to a hospital to take care of him, but alas, that wasn’t the case as the group quickly finds out that Yuki Maeda was going to be involved in a Killing Game. The same one that Teruya will be put into. So once they get the location from Setsuka, who unfortunately gets caught after managing to give them the information and is also dragged into the Killing Game, the group goes in to rescue them and stop the Killing Game from starting in the first place.

Unfortunately for them, things quickly go awry because Kokoro had made a failsafe that prevented her from getting killed on the spot and she summons a mech in the fountain. An explosion ends up launching Akane through the air, leaving Rei unprotected and she ends up crashing into the ocean. And while Akane still remembers the Proto-Killing Game, she’s...understandable unwilling to talk about it due to the fact that she helped mastermind it in the first place. It wouldn’t exactly help her credibility if everyone found out about it. And unfortunately, she’s not used to using the Divine Luck and often has to physically be there to prevent certain tragedies from happening or keeping things from going from bad to worse. Because if I don’t put a damn limit on this deus ex machina power, the plot would’ve been over at the Prologue.

I like that drdt takes advantage of its video format as normally to have a character interject like that in a mainline dr game would be bad since it's interupting gameplay and taking control out of player's hands. But it works here since we're not actually playing and shows teruko and charles backing each other up and shows people actually getting involved!!!

To the actual crime ... uh i dont know ... clearly this crime is so complicated that we need a TRIAL 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO lmaoo. i mentioned before but charles's comment of "fucking up" at the end seems to strongly imply the time of the murder, and thus everyone's testimonies for that time, are now irrelevant. Since arei was alive in the evening last night (ace does claim 7:30, but i do agree with david that ace might have just said that to back up his point rather than it being true) the death happened the prior night or early that morning. it puts into the question the note, calling for 7:30 but it could be 7:30 am before the motive reveal. however, unless it was something like a trap, such a time is so tight i find it hard to believe. maybe i'll do a post later doing a fully theory as i lose my mind during this hiatus (praying for it be under 6 months)

My little contribution to Bayo Origins, because it's just so cute.

I can't believe that after the huge disappointment of Bayo 3, this little adventure was actually great.

Small Bayo Origins, CatLD review:

The story has a point, and ends pretty well! (except on Jeanne's tale, that part is bs) the game Is gorgeous both in artstyle and music, the Gameplay might be hard to pick up with the whole control two characters at once, but it's quite easy in general. Exploration is rewarding, the faeries were properly introduces and have interesting designs compared to the Homunculi, though they still are a bit samey after a while.

Lukaon is OK. The "romance" or maybe attraction between Cereza and him is meh, but feels kinda appropriate considering she's a child (?) I mean, I never had a crush at that age since well, I didn't know I was a lesbian, but plenty of other girls had their out of nowhere obsessions with at least one random guy. I hope this makes sense.

The character interactions and lore is constantly updated as you progress, with super cute save screens and upgrade cutscenes that show how the characters have bonded. The collectives really bring to life the world if you take the time to read'em, but nothing too important is shoved in them like how it happened in Bayo 3.

In general, I'd recommend this game a lot! It's worth it, but it does make Bayonetta 3 worse, because it didn't link to it as I would have expected (which tbh is for the better), but it leaves even bigger plot holes in that dumpster.

Never wanting to judge a book by its cover, I decided to give Sam a chance.

*Starfiled Spoilers Ahead*

It didn’t start well, dragging Cora into that murder scene. I’ll defend Sam bringing his daughter along for the ride to my dying breath for very personal reasons. But that was a bit too much. /sarc british

We rescued his ex successfully, but then she wanted to raid a UC ship and this is my UC-aligned playthrough, so I thought ‘uh-oh. Better equip some EM weapons then’. But I’m not gonna lie, blazing through that ship tearing heads off with the Revenant would have been far more entertaining.

Several reloads later and I finally knocked them all out, but someone must have bought it because a message popped up saying ‘SAM IS ANGRY WITH YOU’

Ffs, Sam. Idgaf. We did it and I killed no one, just who is firing live rounds in here, you? Okay, so that’s on me, I didn’t check you had the right weapon equipped, but holy hell, I am not doing this again because you decided to fire off a round and someone died. That’s on you, Sam, not me.

Confident that it was only a minor setback and that he’d eventually get over it and come around, I carried on. We took out several waves of goons on the next planet and then this happened:

There couldn’t have been a worse time for the game to go into meltdown. I couldn’t move, I was stuck there like that and could only open the start menu.

*sigh*

I lost all the progress on that planet and when I reloaded I also had to do that fight again, this time with Cora standing by the landing gear and not in the ship. I really began to feel like there was something off, like my game had suffered quite a substantial glitch.

Finally, I got to have that conversation with the pair of them again and - bare in mind he still hates me at this point, outside of game dialogue he’s scowling and telling me to piss off - you then end up back in Akila city where he wants to have that relationship-defining talk by the statue.

But I don’t want to talk to him there at this point because he actually hates me. But he’s stuck there now, because as soon as we arrived he legged it over there. I just ignored him and did a few side quests, hoping to up his opinion of me.

I even fast travelled back to New Atlantis, dropped some stuff off at the The Lodge and had a kip. As my current companion Sam spawned forward into the room, and sat on my sofa for a while, but as I left the lodge, he disappeared again. Presumably teleporting to that spot in Akila City.

I don’t know what to do at this point. I’m wondering do I have to trash the last few hours of gameplay, and replay his loyalty mission from the start to try make it so he doesn’t hate me for a death that was wasn’t my fault?

Because it just feels weird going from ‘I hate what you did, it goes against everything Constellation stands for’ to ‘I love you and want to be with you.’ Within a few paces.

I wanted to give him a chance but ugh, wondering if I should just give up trying to get close to the guy in this playthrough. I’m also sick of this two steps forward, one step back bs that has been marring my game recently.

Because this kind of thing has been happening a lot, I’ve just completed the ryujin questlines and they were a total ball-ache for things going pear-shaped and having to replay an area. Honestly, I’m fed up and just want to make some damn progress. 🙄

Why is she like that?

@kassiekolchek22 Here's my way too long, half awake analysis of Em's behavior and attitude throughout until dawn, it is both rambling and has video references✨

Also I'd like to put a little disclaimer that any talking bad about the other characters doesn't necessarily represent my views on them so much as I'm trying to look at things from Emily's pov so buckle in and I hope you like it 😁

I get that it's easy to hate Em, she's a down right bitch that starts drama and is an asshole to her boyfriend and she has an annoying voice.

But you gotta look at things from her pov, a girl in her social circle is out here coming onto her boyfriend openly, shamelessly disrespecting her and her relationship. Of course she'd be mad, then her best friend suggests she should be taught a lesson, says that she's looking out for her and in her anger she agrees but then it goes terribly wrong and the girl and her sister vanish off the face of the earth. She stamps down whatever negative feelings she has for the girl because she's missing, most likely dead. The fact that Hannah was boundary stomping herself isn't relevant and Em must set it aside.

Then in the aftermath her relationship crumbles, which is understandable given that's a hard thing to face but then her best friend, who got the ball rolling on the prank, who claimed she was just looking out for Em swoops in and gets together with her ex, now that is a certain type of betrayal that screws with a person.

Then a year later on the anniversary of the worst day of all their lives thus far and she's faced with the two people who broke her heart and trust being happy together, she starts saying a bunch of insecure bs and think about it, she's an over achiever, top of her class, athletic and independent. None of that meant jack all to the people she was closest to when everything that comes out of her mouth makes her sound like a bitch.

So in her new relationship there's this underlying fear, will she be enough? Is she too much? Is he secretly interested in her friends? When did Jess actually catch Mike's eye? So she gets clingy, paranoid, down playing her strengths, she needs him to show up for her(and let's face it the way most people play Matt, that doesn't really happen), under the most favourable circumstances there is a glimmer of that working.

But when she's on her own all she has is her, it's traumatising, life and death and yes she screams and cries and survives based on what she minimised(potential after also being betrayed by her new boyfriend). She faces unspeakable horror almost all alone, she faces it all and just barely gets out alive(all before anyone else even knows what's really going on) and for her trouble she gets her ex pointing a gun in her face. It could end right there, you had to do it didn't you? Betrayed again. On the other hand, all her fears are confirmed and it was meaningless and the betrayer has the audacity to talk about how she was scared(she doesn't get to confront mike so that's neither here nor there). So she slaps her and even then some people act like she was being unreasonable because she's just an awful whinny bitch right?

Additional information. Em's best scene that that shows her in the best light in her relationship with Matt and generally shows what she's like when she's not on edge/the defensive was cut from most people's games and is apparently really hard to get a hold of(sony was like "this scene can be for pre-order only😑). This unfortunately makes it much harder to max Em and Matt's approval and makes it far more likely that they'll have a bad relationship through out the game.

Now looking at Em and Mike and the other side of the subsequent relationships, firstly we don't know how long Em and Mike were together and we don't know the exact timeline of the relationship dynamics over the past 12 months, what we do know is that Em and Mike hooked up one additional time after their official break up. We don't know if this is after they both got into new relationships or when only one of them had or if they had started seeing other people without committing yet making it a bit of a blurry area so take it however you will but I think it's one of those things that's too easy to twist one way or the other for most/least charitable interpretations.

All this said if Matt doesn't see Em and Mike hugging(which whatever went down in the grey area I do think that it really was like Mike said it was, at least from his pov), it opens an additional dialogue on the ruined fire tower where he yells at Em to treat him better, like straight gets her dangling for her life to repeat after him that she promises to treat him like a human and sure Matt growing a spine is a moment but this is an Emily pov post, so it's like something clicks in her head where you can see that she really didn't notice how awful she was to him and how her issues effected her new relationship, in this version she'll ask about him in the end, either devastated that she wasn't better to him before he died or so very afraid that he'll leave her before she has a chance to fix it(this is her expressed with her asking the interviewer if he knows how much she cares for him and if he said they were together). Again it really doesn't help her case that she really does have an annoying voice so even when she's being sincere she still sounds like a bitch

Hi. Boom. Here's long assorted sleep deprived thoughts I'm gonna be face palming at later about my current KH3 impressions.

Finished Olympus, Corona, now I'm on Toy Box.

PUNTING DONALD INTO ORBIT. And low key, Goofy, too. Like, on one hand, they're just Some Guys and also cartoon characters that make me giggle every cutscene they're in and they just try to lighten the mood or whatever. On the other hand, narratively, NOBODY is getting off Sora's case oh my god. Like, they've teased him before but it feels much more frequent and pointed this game towards the things Sora is insecure about. "Haha, you know Sora, our forgetful, stupid, careless, rash, powerless, weak, codependent idiot! We love him. <3" (exaggerated for comedy but they really don't stop with the punches and it's so uncalled for lol) And he either takes it or lightly goes "hey..." half the time. Donald keeps talking shit, Goofy just lets it happen and whenever there's actually disputes where Sora sasses back a 'lil then he steps in and it gives off vibes of "now don't make your mother angry." They're questionable guardian figures. Rehoming Sora to Supportive Dad Mickey Mouse real quick out of saltiness. That said, Goofy kind of laying a steadying hand on Sora on the Trinity Sled and when he was upset about Eugene's "death" in Corona is sweet.

The face of someone doing completely well who says "I can take it" twice in a row just to prove how well he's doing:

Sora keeps spacing out and giving thousand yard stares especially throughout this game, and when Ienzo told him "yeah, your heart's not entirely yours!" And Sora just stared blankly at the phone like "figures." I just laughed, lol. He's just constantly pivoting between being occupied by and amazed by the Wonder™ of the world/absorbed by the hype of meeting new people and the Horrors™ presented by the constant tumult of foreign emotions and memories running through his little head, clearly to such a degree that it's no surprise to be told that there's whole fuckin people within him. Teenage experience, honestly. Love coming of age narratives that are just crazy fucking magic bs manifesting in dissociation central. What a guy.

I was in tears laughing when Sora was hearing voices in Twilight Town and thought Hayner and co. were those same voices for a sec and very enthusiastically, as though to prove himself went: "See?? :DDD Voices!" SORA, HONEY.

Way to the Dawn just fucking broke? Why was everyone so calm? Am I missing something? Riku's like "aha gives me an excuse to skill up and get a better one-" child, I am gripping you by the shoulders. This blade is manifested as an extension of your heart, they don't just BREAK. Should I be concerned about the integrity of your soul, brother?

THE SCENE WITH KAIRI AND LEA/AXEL WAS SO SWEET, I WANT MORE OF THEM. NEED MORE OF THEM, ACTUALLY. When Kairi was like ":3 hehe I'm gonna beat your ass in the ring," and when he started CRYING because he caught a glimpse of Xion in her. 😭 Her letter to Sora was so fucking sad I am heartbroken how she becomes more alienated from her friends as time goes on. She went from sending the letter as a waypoint in KH2, like "please come back, here I am" to "you know where I am, but I'm still here talking to myself anyway." I. 👏 NEED. 👏 CLOSURE. 👏 Preferably for Kairi with both Sora and Riku, but they'll probably do just Sora but I dunno I don't want to get my hopes up or down. I just... I dunno, even if things aren't necessarily the same with all of them, I'd just like there to be something affirming where they stand because like even though the care they have for each other is obviously there, you can see it with all three of them in KH1 and KH2 (drives me up the walls bonkers when Riku shielded her with his body and Sora caught her when they were flashbanged), it's also like that feeling of a dwindling group chat kind of scenario. "That's right, no more waiting for you to come back from your adventures..." Props to VA that line was delivered so laden with hollowness. I hold Kairi in hands. Devastated.

THE FOCUS ON SAVING ROXAS HAS ME EXCITED. THAT IS ALL. I WAS YELLING AT SCREEN FOR FOREVER LIKE "USE A REPLICA" and then Riku finally was like "🤔✨...Replica?" And I went and mentally hoisted him onto my shoulders for a little "hip hip hooray" because the dots are connecting with the characters, fellas. I might see at least one of my peoples, soon.

Riku's VA just sounds like he's given up for this game and it's killing me, lol. Voice direction just hasn't been in his favor so far.

I still can't tell if anyone has debriefed Sora, Donald, and Goofy about what happened in Castle Oblivion yet in any way. I'm wondering why they're (writers) playing that particular plot line so close to their chest.

Adorable how well Sora and Rapunzel got along. While Sora is a friend to all and shit it's really sweet seeing how he still seems to have bonds where he personally clicks with some characters more than others. And all for good reasons- like matching with his traits. I imagine him, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Hercules get brunch at the Bistro now, and no one can take this from me. Also Hercules is such a Sora hypeman, cheering him on even when he's getting crushed by a building. He passes the vibe check 100%.

I manifested my gag attack concept from my BBS post halfway into being and I'm so happy about it, lol. Thank you Hercules from hit movie Hercules for swinging Sora around in a circle like a broadsword in your special attack. I think more people should use him as a broadsword for enrichment reasons.

[Two TotK thoughts this morning:

Back again with my "I wish we got to see more with Ganondorf and just...giving him a story other than DBZA Vegeta VC 'I'm fucking evil!'" and Vergil from DMC vc "MOAR POWER!" bs: This Ganondorf should have the same/similar beef with Zelda as he does with Rauru. Again, I know we don't get to see squat really about any in depth feelings about any of them other than you're a god wasting your power BUT Zelda basically did the same thing as Rauru. She came to that era and, while yes Sonia and Rauru welcomed her and allowed it, she fully accepted going along with their dominion of the land that...sorry, not sorry, I don't think was all as squeaky clean as people think. The Gerudo fighting to maintain their sovereignty and the suggestion that Rauru tried to convince them to just join in with his reign makes that pretty obvious I think. Yes, Ganondorf obviously wanted the Secret Stones but that Molduga attack is when he mentions them (which is still weird to me that he does so by name) and notices their power. So that actually came AFTER that what I assume was a last ditch effort to be like "nah fam we're good." POINT IS: seeing this tiny Hylian show up out of nowhere and being buddy buddy with the god?king that wants to take over his territory would and should be infuriating.

Related but less of me lamenting specifics in what TotK lacked story wise and shifting to gameplay. Probably coming from the Paper Mario brain rot, but it really was a missed opportunity to not do kind of like the first two of those games did and let us play as Zelda in the ancient era between the big story beats OR even as the tears instead of just watching cutscenes. They don't need to make it a big open world thing, either, but just a controlled point A to B and C sort of thing with a little bit of exploration allowed (training with her abilities would have been something cool to do, for example). With that, they could REALLY dig more into the new aspects they introduced and just did the bare minimum with. PLUS we would get to play with Zelda like a big chunk of the fandom hoped for.]

About comparing Grace with Hope and Kat - I do see similarities. Kat refused to believe her own eyes when Finn took a sip in game and basically confirmed he regrets coupling up with Kat. He tried to explain he just was thirsty but it was such an obvious BS. And Finn choose to marry MC in "snog, pie, merry". His explanation was really unconvincing. Also, if MC coupled up with Finn and took a money - Kat flying back in his arms. And she's always saying "nah, MC, he likes me, he couldn't possibly like you" even if you try to be candid with her about all those talks with Finn. I'm not saying he's blameless - he's a d*ck. But her behaviour is a top stupidity. Jen from s1 was the same way with Levi at first but she actually changed and found her happiness with Tim.

Hope was a really territorial prick on Noah route. She could Noah away from MC if he was MC's first choice and then make a Pikachu face when MC trying to know him better. Really hypocritical and immature of her. She coupled up with him, goes with "power couple" thing on the first day and won't allow Noah to see his options. I mean I get, you want him. But don't you think it's better to give him freedom of choice? If your man actually considering to be with anyone else - it's not YOUR man and you deserve better than that.

And about Grace - "her" man could kiss MC in game when he dared to kiss the hottest girl in villa or something like that. She's actually have her suspicions that he likes someone else. He's became distant with her. And when MC told her about her talk with Ozzy - she laughed! "He was just being friendly". This kind of denial reminds me of Kat/Jen. And I really hope FB won't go this way with Grace, she seems lovely.

Again, I'm not blaming only girls - Levi was an ass for not making it clear with Jen what he wants; Finn was a huge d*ck (but let's be real - in this disaster season all boys were terrible 😑); Noah was a people pleaser and was afraid to go for what he really wants for too long. I hope Ozzy will do better. It's early in game and if he really became distant with Grace and didn't do any bits while he wants to be with MC - then he's already better then Levi/Noah/Finn.

Nah it’s fair enough and you make good points. I do think though that Levi, Noah, and Finn were all unbelievable cowards. They had it good the way it was, with a main girl AND a side piece, and they all knew that saying something to their main girl would put an end to it.

I really hope Ozzy isn’t the same. He seems a lot more mature emotionally than the other three mentioned above, as shown by the fact he’s clearly able to mediate a situation as shown in the last episodes. I just really don’t want grace to be the villain of the season. It’s so unfair. And not just because i wanted her to be a love interest so badly 😭

Went to see Amba again. She is doing ok. Her kidney enzymes came back fine, so she was started on the oxytetracycline yesterday. She did have diahhrea, though. She also had no hay so I asked for a hay net to be put up, and sent an email in the evening asking if she could please have free choice hay like at home. 

Unfortunately, she cannot be turned out with the catheter right now. With her spooking at everything and looking like she was thinking about trying to hop the fence of the outdoor arena the other day, there’s just too high a risk that it can get ripped out. I’m hoping this will change if the antibiotics kick in and the spooking decreases. She’s been stalled at night before, but never 24/7, minus 2 days last year when the pastures were covered in black ice. And she didn't really take it well; she started violently head tossing when I let her run around in the indoor. Today she was good, but she’s lethargic.

I was going to go to tractor supply to buy her some stall toys (because I foolishly gave away the ones I had bought for Cannoli), but luckily they already had some and put them up. I’m curious to see if she will play them, because she’s never been particularly playful, which is quite possibly a symptom of the lyme.

There is a little indoor arena, so when I see her I groom her then walk her around in there for an hour. I feel really bad for her because there’s only 1 other horse there and she can’t see him even though he’s stalled next to her. 

I am aiming to have her stay a month, provided she doesn't react too badly to the meds. 

I need to figure out my game plan for boosting her immune system. I will reach out to that lady from the video I posted yesterday to see if she can recommend more specific herbals. The vets here aren’t against herbals by any means, but they also aren't holistic specialists so they didn’t really recommend anything targeted. I absolutely plan on keeping her on probiotics and colostrum supplements permanently at this point. But I also just want to make sure the ones I’m using, probiotic wise and immubiome, have a long shelf life and can withstand the stomach acid. In the human world so many supplements are scams since they’re unregulated, and I’m sure the situation is even worse with animals.

Maybe I should add vitamin e as well? Both she and Cannoli had levels that were fine when I tested them, though. But I know it protects neurons. If the vets think it may help I will add it. It doesn’t wind up in urine like vitamin c so maybe extra will help. 

I was looking into her diet as well, but don’t necessarily think there’s anything that should be changed. She gets 1 scoop of Sunshine Plus ration balancer, 2 scoops of alfalfa pellets, 1 scoop of probiotic wise, and one scoop of immubiome am and pm. Technically, the sunshine plus is not the absolute best since it does contain molasses, but it does have yeast culture as the 4th ingredient, and also has MosPlus probiotics and bioavailable vitamin e & se. So while it wouldn't be great for a laminitic horse, for Amba with a weak immune system and microbiome that’s probably destroyed at this point, I feel like it’s a good choice. The other ration balancers that I’m aware of either don't have probiotics, or don't have them as high on the ingredient list. 

I’m feeling quite depressed over this situation. But it’s a different type of depression and feeling overwhelmed lately that is not my typical seasonal, holiday, or grief-related variety. It is more a feeling of, “everything feels like BS so what is the point?” It just seems like such astronomical bad luck to have to send 2 horses to a clinic for nuero issues just a few months apart. Only 2 horses in 2014 had EDM like Cannoli. And while many more have lyme, most don’t have to get IV oxytetracycline. And there’s other things going on, too. Like my boss of many years got fired by the historical society. I wrote a post on Facebook about it and over 100 people bombarded the historical society and town board with emails supporting him in response, but they still haven't hired him back, or even bothered to find a replacement for him. So there will no longer be a farm.
