I do find it moderately amusing when looking at the contrast between magical mountain's representation within the hermitcraft fanbase (especially early on in the season where it was absolutely everywhere) and its importance as a collective on the actual server (almost non-existant). I think people got really excited for a new boatem, but I don't think they've done anything as a larger group since day one. That being said, if you want to watch the actual successor to boatem this season- check out some of the hermits in the neighbourhood! They are always in each others business, have done quite a lot as a collective and are consistently hilarious whenever they interact. I feel like their relative lack of popularity is meaning a lot of hermitcraft fans are missing out on what in my view is the best grouping of the season, so if you were a fan of boatem, or similar close-knit groups, why not give them a try!

please meet my canon hypmic ocs

lol back on my missing ren and unami hours so here’s how i think they’re doing

ren:

fulfilled the prophecy and became taller than kuukou, just like all the other dark haired dudes he finds himself next to lmao

he’s handsome but he has a gloomy disposition despite actually being a happy person in general lol

along with his naturally gloomy looks, the trauma has also given him a strange sense of humour (luckily kuukou can read him just fine lol)

he took kuukou’s advice and started training!!!! he took up mma and turned out to be decent at it so he��s going to school for physical therapy to be a personal trainer

he teaches self defense classes at his local gym to help pay for college even tho he is moderately comfortable with money 🤗

unami

along with her sister, she runs a youtube channel called ‘thrifting waves’ where they find cute clothes on a budget!!!! their channel is of moderate fame!!!!

she sometimes invites ichiro on her channel to bring in a different viewing demographic (that’s the intent at least lol) once kuukou reappeared in everyone’s lives, she started bringing him on the channel as well

her family is still living paycheck to paycheck tho 😔 she and her sister split the ad revenue the channel makes and she uses her cut to pay for college tuition

she’s in school for social work with a specialty in general welfare!!!!! she may be on track for a government position 🫢

she also really really hates capitalism and will call kuukou to complain about society when her tuition hits her back account lol (kuukou helpfully suggests destroying the system lol)

OVERVIEW

Dbhc, or the Detroit Become Hermitcraft AU, is an au that started as a joke and very quickly stopped being a joke LKFJGDG It’s called Detroit Become Hermitcraft, but not really because it has anything to do with the base game DBH– really, I only yoinked the android mechanics and inserted them into the minecraft-based world of hermitcraft. It’s an au that starts in Hermitcraft Season 8 (aka, many of the first androids were built for the beginning of s8 in this au), meaning that the seasons prior in this au do not technically have those hermits as part of their history. The Life Series are canon to this au, but like earlier hermitcraft seasons, 3rd Life is missing all of the android hermits due to it having taken place prior to HC Season 8.

so hey guys i finished dungeon meshi yesterday and i'm still thinking about it

#ria.txt #i spoiled myself so at first i was like 'this is bonkers wtf are they doing in those last few chapters?????' #but then it was like. yeah. i see #love those ch when it's just clearly putting the squad into Situations #also. izutsumi #what i really liked was how tightly the protagonist and the deuteragonist were wound up in the overall themes #the plot the themes the conflict the characters it was very neatly connected #hence i am also now accidentally invested in whatever going on between laios and marcille #not just platonic not romantic not enemies i just think they work well tgt and deeply care for each other its great watching them develop #it's the leader + most trusted advisor / anxious girlfailure + the annoying freak she's somehow attached to vibes #haha that rabbit chapter with marcille. hahha i was like what the fuck man. it was funny and then boom whump [tears streaming down my face] #those shapeshifter chs were sooo much fun esp seeing other chara's perceptions of each other. stealing that #the changeling ones were great too elf senshi is the fucking funniest he looks sooooooo unserious #marcille's evolving perception with death starting with saving falin and saving the squad and her nightmares of outliving everyone- #-and her dad and her 'temper tantrum' and UGH when at the end she said she was fine with falin not coming back....
