my dog is built to perfection I swear. she is the perfect size for hugs and cuddles, head perfectly shaped for a hand to rest upon it, excellent ears, short legs but not Too short, perfect build for drumming on her sides, she looks rotund when laying on her side but she's built like a small brick shithouse. I love her so much. she even has eyeliner.

Cw possible loss of pet, vent and sadness

My mom called and told me my dog had a seizure. She’s at the animal hospital I used to work at and I’m so scared that she’s not going to be okay. She’s old and recently has been having issues jumping on things and the other day my mom told me she started running into things. I’m not ready. I woke up in a panic around 10 because I felt like something was wrong and then an hour later my mom called me to tell me what happened. I’m a 16 hour drive from home and I wouldn’t be able to fly back until next weekend and I don’t know if she’ll have that much time so I might not get to see my baby off. I’m praying it’s something that can be controlled with oral meds to maybe give her more time. She’s a happy dog, she loves going for walks and snuggling and eating all of the food and I love her so much.

My dog is still very much alive, but thinking about life without him hurts so much. The quote "I loved you your whole life, and I'll miss you for the rest of mine." Literally made me bawl my eyes out yesterday. Its just the thought of living life without him and eventually healing from his loss that hurts. I don't know how im going to go on without him here when he always has been. I think that's why pet loss hurts so much, the connection is just as strong as a human bond, maybe stronger, but they just don't live as long as we do.

A successful first day on the job as a therapy dog!

The general public typically views street dogs like Omi quite negatively, and most people tend to believe that they are nasty and aggressive, so I hope that by doing this work we can help change that mindset even if only a little bit 💕

Omi was rescued after the SPCA responded to a call about an injured dog. He had likely been accidentally struck and dragged along the concrete by a vehicle. The scar is still visible, although mostly hidden by his fur now.

After recovering enough, he was moved to board at another shelter before we adopted him. He was noticeably depressed, quietly staying in the corner alone, not eating properly, and being quite nervous around the louder dogs.

The fact that today, he was able to walk into a room full of new people, new dogs, people in wheelchairs (if he was afraid of wheeled objects after the incident, I would understand) and greeted every single one? I couldn’t have been prouder.

He made a many new friends today and everyone fell in love with his gentle demeanor and calm temperament 💕 He had a great day today and completely conked out on my lap during the car ride home!

I love my dog so much. Look at this gift I got her

Like yeah she doesn't know about space or extraterrestrial life. But her favorite color is lime green. I know because lime green toys are the only ones she cherishes and treats gently. Yes I know the colors she sees are different than mine, but she still loves what I see as lime green.

But she's part border collie and I can stuff these toys into the spaceship and then throw it like a frisbee. She can tear it apart and be so proud of her hunting abilities. She'll tear off their faces then "gently" present their carcasses to me and take care to never fully rip them apart. She'll grab the worn away things then snuggle up to me like they're teddy bears.

I love my dog so much. Like, did my life exist before her? She might be less than 2 years old, and I'm in my 20s, but as far as I can tell I never existed without her.
