How long is the first chapter page wise? And will there be a consistant length to each chapter or will it vary much?

The first chapter is on the longer side, with 40 normal pages or 44 pages including covers and non-comic pages, if I follow my thumbnails exactly, though this number may change as I illustrate. Pages have an average of 5 panels a page.

The Beginning was originally a two-parter but has been split into a 3 parter, each part being a different chapter. There is no set page number, though most plots would be around 30-something pages based on word count. Some more, some less, there are some very short plots and some longer ones, though some of the longer ones may get split into two chapters if they get too long,

The comic is relatively episodic with a consistent plot going on in the background, think TFA or early MTMTE. A lot of the stories are self-contained, but there is a continuous plot going on throughout

#ive made some pretty excellent breakthroughs on the MG novel today and boy does that feel fucking amazing #didnt end up submitting 20 pages to the critique group but happy with the 11 I did #and i now know how to approach the next chapter too #so. Why did deep cover have to drop while I’m in the middle of manga redrawing trenches AND classes are starting.

I want to draw but then I see the 50 other tabs of pages I need to clean open in clip studio paint and I’m like….damn I should get that done first………………….

(Ugh, finally got the first 10 pages colored. *sobs* I even went back and did Yukari’s panel and didn’t go my lazy route I had. All the color pallets and schemes are based off the game, rather with polys or the animated cutscenes. In this case the latter. good evening everyone!! it is midnight and I have just submitted the final project of my final class of my bachelor's degree! tell me why my heart was actually beating out of my chest when I saw the clock turn to 11:50 and I was still editing the table of contents for my 20 page report lmao. but I turned it at 11:57 so we're all good 😊🤠

#honestly tho it's a great report like i really went off on making it look very nicz AND professional #as for the content? remains to be sezn #actually most of the project had already been written as we'd been working on it throughout the semester #i just had to write a couple of specific recommendations to wrap it all up and that's what im iffy about #i did write those two pages of recommendations bw the hours of 4pm and like 11:30pm lolll #but it's over now! #im too stressed to go to bed rn i think i shall get a lot of reading done tonight #ive been rereading wilder girls by rory power and it's soo good #im reading the romanian translation of it and it's actually very fun!! esp bc id tried starting it like a year ago #but I gave up after like a chapter bc i realized it was just a bit over my reading level at the time #butttt! ive done a lot more reading in romanian since then and now it's actually even FUN! which is just so delightful #there's still words i dont know on most pages but like i don't feel i have to struggle through every sentence anymore. #which is incredible for me #we absolutely love to see it

wonder how long it's gonna be before i accidentally say something i made up about anthea and concordia as if it's canon.

#there isn't actual EVIDENCE that they were 11 when ghetsis adopted them. i just decided that. however my brain has decided #that is a True Fact about them. #they have become very well-developed characters in my head and it's easy to forget they are NOT well-developed in canon. #especially since a lot of what i've done with them was a deliberate attempt to extrapolate from what little canon they have so hc is very #entangled with canon in my mind. #oncilla speaks #anthea and concordia #...maybe i should make one of those long bullet-point headcanon posts if i can remember how to do that and/or disentangle what's hc. #also unrelatedly i need to do a deep dive on n's bulbapedia quotes page to see if i can get the hang of his speech patterns

finally done lining my comic (well ok theres 1 page left but its extremely simple its basically just some straight lines so i just havent bothered yet lol) and im v proud of myself for finally getting there but now i have to. do the color. and im gonna die lol

My final for the class I have this semester is a paper wherein we’re supposed to act as though we’re a licensed psychologist called into an organization to consult on a problem and give recommendations. My prof suggested a former prac site because we’re likely to know quite a bit about the day-to-day operations and problems that grunt workers face. And well, after the last year I just had, there’s no way I’m touching that without a hazmat suit and years of therapy (haha irony), so this assignment’s really not the place to do any of that processing.

No...instead I chose RT. And I gotta say, it’s been pretty cathartic to type out the history of the company, to see how it developed in its entirety, the good, the bad, and the ugly (though it’s been mostly those last two, even with a nice bit of perspective on what I liked about the company). I get to talk about the ethical and diversity issues next, which is gonna be a treat and a half for my poor brain, and then how I’d go about evaluating the company, how I’d conceptualize everything put together, then give recommendations. I’m already 4 full pages into the 12-15 requirement, and it’s not due till December 1st :b

#well you see at the cafe for writing group. i didnt work on my MG novel like i should have #i re-read all of the adult novel and made edits. all 45k words worth #then i felt bad for not working on the MG novel when i got home at 11 and thought 'oh the edits dont look like much let me know them out!' #now at 1:30 AM. the 'short edits' turned into re-writing the entire chapter -__- but we're done #miscellaneous #the adult novel i had major writer's block on and then turned and wrote like a maniac the 57k fanfic in a single fucking month #and then after said fanfic my writing motivation crashed and burned and for a while i felt lost with it #but im finally back into a groove with my original work #it felt good to re-read the adult novel and be like 'damn what i do have is good' #and it felt good to get these edits done for the MG novel #idk uh what the lesson is here but writing a 57k fanfic in the span of a single month was not the most Fantastic thing for my mental health #but you know it's done and out there and on the third page overall for this pairing so at least i did something right with it #Anyway. need to wind down now
