Maybe I'm biased cause Jaime and Rebecca are my fav characters, and I really want them to interact, but I really think that Rebacca and Jaime are going to have a storyline this season.
I think this for a few reasons:
1) they're the only two characters that saw through Zava's bullshit immediately
2) I'm almost sure the "shite in nineing armor" is Jaime, cause he's a little shit who's "battle armor" (equipment/training gear) bears a number 9, and I don't think the psychic just misspoke.
3) It always felt to me that the show was aiming towards a Rebecca/Ted finale (I wouldn't mind it either way tbh I just always felt that that was where they were going with their relationship) and I feel like Ted is often a father figure to Jaime & while he doesn't put Jaime on the same level as Henry, Henry and Jaime are often justexposed in regards to Ted (scenes regarding Ted & Henry and Ted & Jaime being one after the other, Henry wearing the number 9 and asking for Jaime's autograph, Ted hearing both Henry and Jaime in his panic attacks, etc.). So, with all of that, plus the psychic mentioning that Rebecca would become a mom, I think that Jaime would be the son for that (we don't know what relationship Jaime has with his mom, so we'll have to wait and see)
So yeah, I think that Rebecca and Jaime should have scenes together, and it's a crime they don't!!!
i'm watching/listening to batman:the audio adventures season 2, and i love this version of scarecrow so much i just had to share. he has turf wars with black mask, he sells 'scarecrow drugs' to teenagers, he plays the knife game with his victims, he collects old horror movie posters, he calls bruce 'little orphan boy', and i am obsessed. these versions of riddler and two-face are also great, their interactions (riddler with miss tuesday and two-face with pretty much everyone but mostly themselves) are hilarious and angsty and i love them sm.
the thing is I don't want Donna's ending to be "fixed", sure its sad, its fucking heartbreaking, but thats what makes it good, if it gets fixed all the weight gets taken out of it. sure in the moment it'll be good, but if its fixed will you really be able to go back and watch journey's end in the same way, knowing it'll all get reversed eventually
No but like why did 4 small scenes of Gabriel and beelzebub just make me lose my mind and the fucking little close ups on their fingers touching i was losing it i was going "oh my god WHAT IS THIS??!! I APPROVE i SO approve!!!"
Do you like the Life series? Do you like Impulse and Tango on the Life series? Do you also like Zedaph? Do you like the idea of a series similar to the Life series, but instead of a dozen or so people there’s only 3 and instead of killing and drama and high stakes plans there’s survival and idiocy and friendship and an amount of innuendo just south of the Youtube family friendliness guidelines? Well, then, you’re in luck! Go watch Hardcore Hermits!
Hardcore Hermits was a between-seasons Hermitcraft-adjacent side series based around a competition to collect the most Minecraft advancements. There are three seasons, with teams of three in identical but separate worlds trying to survive and win. I’ve rewatched all three seasons from Team ZIT an amount of times I’ve entirely lost count of, and I can confidently say that there’s something in there for everyone if you’re a fan of the idiots (affectionate) in question. Go check it out!
Listen, Yennefer and Ciri’s relationship is sort of becoming interesting. Kind of. I still don’t fully trust Yennefer with her because she’s fully repeated mistakes before, no matter what Yennefer claims.
The more annoying thing is Yennefer acting like Geralt not fully trusting her after she betrayed him can be fixed by writing letters and reminding him of the times they fucked.
Also is it just me or do the actors have less fucking chemistry than ever before? Like holy shit, I didn’t care much at all before about that pairing, but now it’s just actively unbearable.
I always think I never had any particular interest in albums rather than individual songs (product of iTunes), but when I go back to relisten to stuff I remember from childhood I think that's maybe not true. I was always picking up music as individual 99 cent songs after hearing something on the radio, but my parents bought things as albums (like normal adults) and there were a lot of artists they enjoyed who I listened to as albums. Especially artists where they only had the one album for a given artist. Anyway today I'm remembering how obsessed I was with We Are the Night by The Chemical Brothers in middle school.
wait hey i just realized that greater boston has 5 seasons like the 5 stages of grief. hm. oh no. i kinda wanna see if there’s actually anything there, so im just gonna speculate...
season 1: denial. leon’s ghost isn’t yet confirmed to truly exist, so his haunting is much more... metaphorical in tone. there’s a seance made in an attempt to speak to him and a persistent theme of michael claiming/believing himself to be haunted by leon’s ghost, saying he’s still there, helping him, which sounds pretty denial-y to me. (yes, even though he was right. he was both right and also in denial. you understand.)
(chelmsworth tries/succeeds at starting red line, and leaves before he can become mayor. michael tells him that there will be consequences, and chelmsworth ignores him.)
season 2: anger. red line is officially a thing, and so is leon’s ghost. i don’t remember a lot about what specific events occurred in season 2, actually, other than that there definitely was anger, i think? the anger isn’t exactly unique to this season, tho, there’s a lot of anger in season 1. emily feeling angry about her marriage, isabelle, angry about injustices, nica, angry about being abandoned, lashing out at complete strangers all of the time. i guess anger might be the driving point of season 2? it’s why emily is even a problem, and why nica stoops so low.
(one thing that IS unique to season 2 is that this is where EVERYONE starts being angry at CHELMSWORTH for leaving them behind,)
season 3: bargaining. (chelmsworth comes back, with the intentions to make amends!! he even offers gifts!! he is turned down. hard.) michael gets to talk to leon again and michael pleads with leon to play chess with him, forgoing sleep and food. one game? it’s just good to hear your voice again... and leon, at first, relents, but once the game is done, leon tells michael that he needs to let him go, once it’s obvious that this isn’t good for him. again, michael’s pleading- no, he’s bargaining, that there’s so much value in the way that michael’s person-hood is being overwritten with leon’s own, in the way he’s losing himself in leon’s thoughts, his feelings, his memories.
leon’s a CHARACTER again, and his friends are looking for him. sure, leon’s a ghost, but he’s right there! within arms reach and not behind the inconceivable barrier between life and death! it’s almost like he never died! ...but.
speculation:
season 4: depression. it’s not safe to hold on to leon that way. as evidenced by michael and poletti, talking to leon is too dangerous for most people. it hurts them. badly. deeply. leon is dead. he killed himself, and his return as a ghost doesn’t change that. everyone has to move on, for their own sake and his. leon hasn’t exactly “come back to them.” not by choice, anyway, and he’s leaving once he gets the opportunity to do so. that’ll probably be pretty disappointing, and, y’know, really depressing.
season 5: acceptance, leon doesn’t want to roam this world as a ghost anymore, and wishes to return to his rest. he needs help to do so, and he’ll most likely need it from those who loved him most. they finally let him go, and accept that, this time, they’ll really never see him again.
