Summary:

“Haha, I didn’t think we’d meet again so soon, Red! Is this luck?” Those dead blues curve up in amused crescents, staring into Diluc’s. Who would’ve known that what he thought was a simple Fatui lackey all those years turned out to become the eleventh harbinger himself? Celestia sure knew how to play with him in the worst way possible.

And what was a chance meeting between two strangers if they were to never meet again?

That was what Diluc thought as he carefully cleaned the glass in his hands, only to nearly drop it at the sight of orange, grays, and reds at the corner of his eye.

Celestia sure knew how to play with him in the worst way possible.

“I request that you step out of my establishment this instant,” he snaps, suddenly feeling irritated by how carefree the other seemed to be despite waltzing into his territory. It was a shame that he couldn’t bring his claymore to scare him off lest he damage his most expensive liquor behind him.

And to his further irritation, the harbinger had the gall to laugh, and somehow, he found it… pleasant? Barbatos forbid, he even dares to say that the short laugh he heard sounds like music to his ears.

Diluc’s eye twitches at the thought, and he thinks that he must be going insane.

“... … … …! … …? … … … …”

The Fatui harbinger’s mouth opens and closes as he continues talking, but Diluc decides to ignore it in favor of sizing him up. The man has certainly grown in the time that they weren’t able to see each other, and he could see the well-trained muscles hiding behind that awful coat. Tartaglia’s face also seemed to mature compared to before, looking much more slim with a slightly crooked nose from a healed broken nose.

His wandering eyes focus on the freckles he spotted on Tartaglia’s cheeks absentmindedly, his hand traitorously itching to take a pen just to connect the dots.

Damn Fatui and their unfairly attractive ginger diplomat.

“...mrade? …Master Ragnvindr, are you even listening?” Chapped lips slanted lopsidedly in a roguish smirk, and Diluc knew he stared for too long. Damn it.

venti stopped in his tracks and directed his attention towards the hostile voice. he hid somehwere nearby in order to see who was the victim because, being venti, he was obviously going to help, until— he saw a familiar lock of hair out the corner of his eye.

his eyes shot open once he realized,

his blume was getting harassed by "some self-obsessed bitch", the new nickname given to your harasser.

he was furious, FURIOUS. the winds matching his mood, it started swaying with an unforgiving speed. but he had to calm down since he knew you’d know it was him causing the wind, thus would give away his hiding spot.

for about 30 minutes or so, he had to watch his beloved get bashed and slandered, every minute making it harder not for him to go straight to the two of you and feed the narcissist to dvalin. god, her voice was so high-pitched, it’s almost like she’s doing it on purpose.

to restrain his anger, venti went straight home midway and set up a lamplit dinner with his specialty, a barbatos ratatouille!!

while waiting for you, he had been left alone with his thoughts, the thoughts of a lackluster god

he should have known. this was the reason all along, she was the reason.

the reason behind your paranoia of calories and carbs, the times you’d often go without any food until dinner, your obsession with weight-loss drugs, and frequent outings to take jogs.

he knew that wasn't who you really were, no out of everything, you were confident in yourself, body positive and not taking shit from anyone. so, why?

"hello venti. you made dinner tonight?” you gasp at the beautiful ratatouille. “im surprised the house isnt on fire yet." you giggle softly.

"well, i had a feeling that i should make some food tonight!! my audience sure loved todays performance and my happiness is still trying to wear off. i might become too prideful, hehe~"

he pulled your chair back for you to sit, like a gentleman would. you kindly took the gesture and sat down as he pushed the chair back forward, and went to his own seat.

2 minutes in, he broke the silence.

"how was your day today?"

you smiled.

"today was splendid. i got to go out of mondstadt for a walk and enjoy nature. enjoy life while it lasts, you know?"

he was immortal, you werent, he remembered.

his lips slightly curved upwards.

"i get it, did you meet anyone along the way?"

he wanted the truth out of you, even if he had to be sneaky about it.

“oh yes! i managed to come across flora and have a little chat with her about her flowers, my, she’s quite an entrepreneur for a little girl!” your lips curve at the memory of your conversation with the young florist.

venti was pissed. at what? it could be anything at this point; at you for not telling him you needed help, at himself for not figuring it out sooner, at her for causing you so much grief.

“i know you’re being bullied.” he said. he sounded so bold and confident it was almost out of character for him to act like this. did you really matter that much to him?

“i get if you don’t want me to get involved, i guess… but at least, please tell captain kaeya about this. personally, blume, i think you’re beautiful the way you are. ill support you if you really do want to change something about your appearance but please don’t do it because you don’t fit some sort of beauty standard. isn’t monstadt all about your freedom, dear?”

your hands were shaking and your eyes looked everywhere, anywhere for a distraction. “i- well…it’s true i don’t want you to get involved cause only celestia know what you’ll do to her but… yeah, ill tell kaeya about it tomorrow but for now…” you say before grabbing his delicate palm, the heat of the lamp shining brightly.

“i want to spend time with my favorite bard.”

that smile. it’s not fake anymore, your blushed cheeks are scrunched up from joy. finally, you understand what he has always meant.

no matter what will happen, he’ll always be there to comfort you, until death will do part.

meili_sheep, the chilucer supreme, after the 3.1 demo, i started thinking. now i am not a very clever guy and cannot think for long periods of time but i got a brainworm and it wont leave me alone so now youve to deal with it too.

il dottory, the weird lil guy that he is, clones himself every year ya? but what it he cloned someone else... 👀

picture this, diluc gets captured during his trip to shnez by the funky doctor guy and he see that not only does diluc wield a dillusion with no (major/notable at least) issues and he also knows that diluc has a vision, which isnt on him (cause like, one of the clones interacted with di in the manga when he had a vision on him (i think anyways, might be misremembering that)) that also doesnt seem to affect him so instead of dorey being a good loyal harbinger and bringing him to the big icy woman, he clones diluc 2 times, one to send to The Cryo Lady™ and the other to send to Mondstad.

i dont have any idea what to do with this little brainrot but all i know is that

1) potential to make a load of chiluc angst eg. good ol tartaglitits finds out about dr crime and watchs experiments and maybe he says, "hey fuck it why not join in? could be fun" and sometime during that luc says something about kaeya referring to him as his big brother ((kaeya bigger brother, cant pry that from my cold dead hands)) and child(e) feels stupid guilt about whats been happening to luc cause ✨family ✨ and they become jailbreak bfs or smth idk.

and to

2) hurt diluc at the same time! (i love him but he needs to suffer, he too much like me fr).

im not a writer so i need other ppl to work with me on this one please i am begging this concept wont leave me alone lmao.

Anyway. I actually do like this idea quite a bit. I had an idea a while back about Diluc being captured and brainwashed to be a Harbringer. Childe who had fought with Diluc before his captures, hates this new Diluc because he'd admired the old Diluc. He admired the wild passion and the fiery strength and with this new Diluc. All of that was gone. So Childe was secretly trying to break Diluc free. And I can see a similar angle here. When Childe finds Diluc trapped by Dottore.

Maybe even finding Diluc in a delusion state and Diluc called out for his big brother.

And Childe is instantly hit with guilt cause... that could be his little bother. So again that combined with knowing how firy Diluc was before Childe sets to getting ride of the Diluc Clones and breaking free the real Diluc.

it is i, 🕯️ anon, back again to flex on how bad i am at matchmaking wassup yo-- i haven't done any assignments rn if you see me online in genshin, no you don't (honestly i'm just afk and i'm writing an article rn while sobbing tf out--)

ANYWAYS, i got my candidates ready here- you probably won't know some of them but oh well it do be like that sometimes-

this matchup is a romantic(?) one i suppose (help i am not good at romantic set ups i just angst help), let's just keep it limited to genshin only. if it were only in genshin, its either.... damn.. cant think of anyone, so i'll just list down the top 3 i could think of.

1. in first place is Dainsleif, yes, i suppose i can spoil you with this one. the passion and the priniciples (and death flags) he has prob got you sobbing on the floor. he is the type of person who would think about debts too???

in emotional sense (a different way), i dont know how dain reacts to doubts and how he comforts people, does he only use words? use actions? does he inspire you to the point that those doubts are overwhelmed with motivation? no matter what it is, dain is not a heartless man, he will surely be patient with you. he is the type of person who loves you for who you are, no matter what your flaws are, such love so tender and genuine, he would be a gentle lover for sure.

2. the second one isnt a meme okay (yes it is), for some reason i could see you being compatible with gentle ones, and diluc sure fits that criteria, albeit inferior to dain in one rank.

he and dain are almost similar in actions (because i am not creative and my brain cells are spent on my assignments) but he would be a clumsy one. bet you'd be the first (and hopefully his last), he is quite careful not to ruin your relationship because he knows full well that one relationship that is built slowly thru some many years can be destroyed in just one day, and because of how he wants to perfect anything, he would be quite clumsy at that too. diluc is also a patient man (and a sly mfer fatui got no chance) and is quite understanding, hes the type who will surely spoil tf out of you by making something (because you will surely reject anything he buys with mora)

but of course, he has his own baggage to deal with, but its not like it affects your relationship so badly that both of you will feel like you're walking on thin ice. its just there. for angst purposes.

actually, this is a platonic matchup, mainly because i can never see him in a romantic relationship (despite looking like wei wuxian). he is very dedicated to his craft (to the point of self-destruction), very loyal to his sect and has principles he stick to (like a stubborn no thoughts brain empty). he's chaos himself-- even have the nickname mount hua's mad dog (lol) and mfer punches bitches left and right, so you have a 50/50 chance of either becoming his victim (wait thats a 100 percent chance-) or making him worse.

he sounds like the worse match ever because i cant bring him to justice. despite his sharp tongue and rough actions, he is actually the type who cares too much, the type who sacrifices too much (even himself) to prevent losing ANYTHING or ANYONE. he strives to conquer all because he once lost everything (mfer that quote of his made me sob like a baby), if he was your friend, he will be the type who will undoubtedly make you better (even thru uhh violent methods), a great pillar/support, he seems like the type who would try to reach the stars and you'll end up being inspired and influenced to do the same.

1. shen qingqiu! (platonic matchup) he def needs your help, you'll be his "how to survive being tracked down by a yandere", dramatic af, if you two are friends he would be your beta reader and he is not afraid to say the truth-

The Genshin Boys: Their type

what i think genshin boys type would be... y'all this is rushed asf and was written in like 10 mins on a bus so don’t think this chicken-scratch even matches my actual writing, I was the English valedictorian after all.

Xiao (my beloved emo yaksha)

I personally think he doesn’t give a shit how you look, the man is 2000+ years old he’s above that, I think its more personality for him. someone quiet, calm and preferably not clingy is all he wants, someone he can bask in the presence of without having them talking and bothering him 24/7 so he is still able to attend to his duties as a yaksha (same here bestie)

Albedo (my beloved mad scientist)

He also isn’t one to care about looks, he wants someone smart, calm, quiet and confident. I think smarts is probably the biggest factor he wants someone to ramble about alchemy and have them understand and get into deep conversation with and maybe even double as his lab partner. I don’t see him being able to deal with an airhead considering he doesn’t have the greatest attention span.

Scaramouche (Will he do the fandango?)

He isn’t picky about looks but you HAVE to be shorter than him, he loves being taller than you it makes him feel powerful. as for personality I think he would like someone that is either a really smart sadist like him or a masochistic airhead that he can use to his liking.

Xingqiu (my beloved book twink)

Looks don’t matter but he’d prefer if you were shorter so he could tease the living shit out of you for it (i know from experience), as for personality and other shit you better be smart otherwise he probably won’t even pay you any attention, as for books it would be easy to win him over if you were also a bookworm but if not it doesn’t matter I guess you just have to be good at pulling pranks.

Chongyun (the Hotter Jack Frost)

TBH I think he would be grateful for anyone to be looking at him romantically...or sexually. I’m sorry but this mans ego is so low from Xingqiu’s pranks that it doesn’t matter if your looks are akin to a deformed hillichurl and your an absolute airhead he would love you no matter what. (i bet your really pretty/handsome tho)

Kaeya (Sexy Snowman)

OK so i originally wrote this differently but someone was kind enough to point out a few things in his voice lines and story that contradict what my dumb ass wrote and i also sorta hated the old nickname i gave him so heres the edited version:

Kaeya does care about looks and prefers attractive people that he can show off for looks but he also admires smart and outgoing people.i feel like he wouldn't care as much about looks if you were very well educated and spoken person.
