Everyone on this hellsite has a colorful way of interpreting the "how and why" about Azula's blue flames. Here is mine:
(Disclaimer: I am aware that the show's creators say that the contrast made it easier for the animators and the audience to follow the action, particularly in scenes of fighting her brother. Simultaneously, I just want to poke at this topic because theorizing is fun)
After reading through an interesting take on this subject by @dreaming-in-fire I started giving more thought to the connection between firebending and one's own inner fire, in a way of speaking, which brings me to the point that I was building up to, that being a more flaming approach to the chakra system.
The nuance of the blue depicted chakra(throat chakra), I think is a wonderful resume for Azula's character.
In "The Guru" , we are introduced to Guru Pathik who guides Aang in facing his greatest drawbacks that forbid him from gaining control over the avatar state. But this wasn't about power, as it was in Aang's perception. Instead, it was about reaching a balance within himself that would allow better control over the destructive, volatile manifestations of the avatar spirit in the shaping of his own imbalances.
I believe that Azula has reached this visually stunning performance trough trial and error, honing more accuracy over the years to reach a mastery to express oneself through the hue of her fire. In less delicate wording, Azula's fire is giving away her true self and where shoving her emotions in a box comes easy for the physical body, the soul is manifesting itself trough her element. The guru also mentions, and I quote
"The fifth in the chain is the sound chakra, located in the throat: it deals with truth and is blocked by lies—the ones we tell ourselves"
Azula's major issue, frequently mentioned in "Zuko Alone", is the one and only "Azula always lies". I am adding this point, not in the virulent manner some people do, deeming her a pathological liar accordingly to their armchair expertise. Allow me to organize some of the lies Azula tells herself
1. "My own mother thought I was a monster"
2. "You [Ozai] can't treat me like Zuko!"
3. "Trust is for fools, fear is the only reliable way!"
4. "I'm about to celebrate becoming an only child!"
And these are just a few to be found on the surface of dialogue. I find the idea of Azula healing her chakras to be quite interesting in relation to her bending. Let me know what you think!

🖊 Destan! Everything about her fascinates me, I need to know more!
The second she comes home after seeing her mother die, she and her uncle have a terrible row. She makes for quite a sight with her bloodied face and the open wounds on her knuckles.
Her uncle knows. All he has to do is look at Destan's face to know that his sister is dead. When she draws closer, she smells like death. And so the first thing that Uncle Gürel does is blame her.
For the first time in her life, Destan disagrees. It's not her fault, and it's not her fault Behiye died either, no matter how long she convinced herself it was. Then her uncle blames her magic instead, as if that makes things any better.
She screams horrible things at him. He yells them right back. Her own mother died tonight. So did his sister. They lapse into a horrendous silence when they realise they're talking about the same person.
He cleans the wounds on her knuckles. She gives him Lütfiye's necklace. She tells her uncle that she killed her mother's murderer personally and he almost smiles. They make an unspoken pact to support each other.
Destan plants forget-me-nots. She sends her uncle money and extends an invitation, but it hurts him too much to live in the estate. All of his sister's things are there.
Gürel drops by. Never says anything. Doesn't stay for long. But he keeps an eye on his niece. Waters the forget-me-nots.
He doesn't stop being an asshole. She remains angry. But they support each other.

I just started following because of your lovely elephant based on my friend's post and I have to tell you I really enjoy reading your tags lol, i am always liveblogging my thought stream in the tags and it cracks me up when other people do it to. solidarity! also obviously love your plushies! might try to make one based on one of your patterns some day, so far I've only done a few little felt animals but I do sew a lot so it's a logical progression. Cheers!
Thanks! I am glad you like my plushies and especially that elephant, and glad to meet another person who uses tags like I do lol. Idk what it is about tags but they activate the same "thinking out loud" thing that talking to another person does for me in a way typing in the body of a post just doesn't? It's fun! Being able to sidetrack myself in the tags without taking away from the post itself is one of my favorite things about tumblr
If you do make a plushie from one of my patterns, I'd love to see it! If you're newer to plushie making and find my patterns aren't making much sense, Cholyknight (aka sewdesune) has a bunch of free plushie patterns on her website. She is a lot better at explaining sewing patterns than I am

maybe eddie let the cheerleaders go by because he knew the jocks would beat his ass otherwise (and the rest of hellfire kids too maybe). and the drug deal with chrissy probably was arranged already so he wasn’t about to lose some rich people money 😭😭 but yeah that part was very weird. the edussies think he was checking them out but to me, it looked like he was smirking and not in a positive way, if that makes sense 💀 like he’s a gentleman but the whole vibe was like the 🙃 emoji.
Ok now this makes sense but I still think it wouldve made more sense for his character to mess with the cheerleaders and let the other girls by. I think the ppl directing probably just werent thinking about it too deeply. And to those people who say hes checking the cheerleaders out... even if that gay man were to check out a woman, I dont think itd be some rando cheerleaders. I agree it was the 🙃 emoji
