Illogical answer to justify Naruto's ending 💀💀😑😑🙄

And same old same old. Sakura always loved Sasuke, Hinata always loved Naruto... oh really?

You know what these arguments are, besides "lazy?" Sexist. On both the guys and gals. the women are defined by who their first loves are and NOTHING ELSE.! They must get with their first loves otherwise their involvement in the plot is pointless. They have no goals in life nor purpose in the story than to "walk down the isle to become Mrs. Uzumaki/Mrs. Uchiha". The men's feelings don't count or matter. Naruto always loved Sakura but I guess that doesn't matter because he must notice the shy girl that always held a torch for him even though she did NOTHING to ease his loneliness and being hated by the village. Sasuke did not love Sakura until she wore him down to give her a baby. CHAPTER 693 CONFIRMS THIS. Now, anyone until today, for some weird reason, here sees Sasuke's lines in that chapter as "I love her so I must keep her out of my life, I don't deserve her?" I guess pro-enders see it that way. What I saw was "Why does she even love me? She is deluding herself with some fairy tale." But ok... just make a sense and i'm a salty fan

Ok, let's go:

The the whole "oh Naruto and Sakura are just friends argument. Again, "lazy". And so what if they are friends? That is WAY MORE that either of them can even claim to be with their TRUE LOVES. Well, let's see: Naruto ignores Hinata and never spends time with her after "knocking her up", so their relationship was like it has always been which is her only being in the back of his mind until it calls to his attention that she exists. Sasuke left Sakura to fend for herself and his daughter for over a decade and never bothered to visit or check up on them. Again this relationship is exactly how it how it was before the ending and when he last left to go with Orochimaru, him giving for this woman throwing herself at his feet. These are seriously the romances that these pro-ending fans were always imagining? The spouses just tolerate and acknowledge their marriages because there are bound by it? No romance anymore, no intimate communication at all, and the fathers not even bothering to bond with their kids unless the plot "demands it"?. Ok

I seriously would love to ask these defenders of this just friends argument "okay so you always had only platonic feelings for your opposite sex friends? You were never attracted to any of them and only see them as a brother or sister? So why are some of you SOOO INFURIATED by this thing called "friend zoning" that you project on to these fictional characters? Friend zoning was never even a thing then, because you can never be attracted to a friend nor will EVER move past friendship. So Sasuke sees Sakura as a friend so he was never attracted to her, right? And Naruto sees Hinata as a friend and was never attracted to her either, yes? Neither guy indicates that they were love struck with their respective ladies early on did they, so are they friends or are they strangers? Ultimately, either stop using "just friends" as an excuse for when it conveniences you or acknowledge that "just friends" works "both ways", so YOUR PREFERENCE OF SHIPPING is also a fallacy. Naruto and Sakura may be friends but HEY do you see Hinata supporting Naruto's dream? Does she ever encourage Naruto's Dream of becoming Hokage or offer her support of Bringing Sasuke back or does she just tell herself what a hunky man-candy Naruto is because of his showing inner strength and determination that she vicariously wants due to her OWN LACK OF A SPINE? Does Hinata ever encourage Naruto when he is down or depressed? Does she show to to improve herself in any way because Naruto inspires her and makes her self stronger as a person (like typical love interests do in this scenario)? Did Sasuke ever become a pillar of emotional support for Sakura? does he ever consider her happiness and puts it above his own? Sure he protected her in the forest of death but so did Rock Lee and Naruto also saved her from being killed here and there so that means nothing.

So in short, do these canon couples have any EMOTIONAL CONNECTION to each other? I don't see it. Do you? Naruto and Sakura showed that plenty of times during the manga's run but never with the two that they are supposed to be "in love with". and it is always Emotional connection that is the foundation of a romantic relationship. Even if you are just physically attracted to someone and it works out, if there is no emotional connection the relationship is pointless. And Again I see none of that with the so called Planned form the beginning NaruHina and definitely not with SasukSaku. NaruSaku on the other hand has evidence spread across the entire run of the series

this is my opinion on Sakura. I have a love and hate relationship for her and I just want to state my opinions on her but they may be some points wrong since I haven’t watched naruto in a long time but you can always correct me, let’s get started. Reminder to not attack anyone who made this. I found all of these on Pinterest but DO NOT ATTACK THEM I REPEAT DO NOT ATTACK THEM. Thank you

”Sasuke and Sakura have always had feelings for each other”. What? I don’t know if this dude watch the anime at all but probably did and the filters too but Sasuke did not had any romantic feelings for Sakura. I covered the username on the TikTok because I don’t want you attacking him.

I’m not saying all Sakura fans are like this but I come across on Pinterest to some Sakura fans like this. How is Hinata coping Sakura? Didn’t Kishimoto design them? How the fuck did this person saw this and say hinata outfit is a copy of Sakura outfit? Sakura and hinata have similar designs in the last but just because Hinata has a similar outfit to Sakura, does not mean she’s coping her. Didn’t tenten had a similar design to Sakura as well? So why do they fucking whine and complain about Hinata design similar to Sakura

I don’t know what to say about this but Sasuke woke up from a coma and probably doesn’t know wants going on so I don’t know how some Sasusaku/SS fans/Stans see this as “true love”.

Toneri is abusive? I don’t know if pulling someone hair is abusive but I did search on google to see if it is them google said it is so, Apparently they saying that sasusaku is not abusive but toneri is? Look I’m not saying sasuke is abusive towards Sakura but he did give a shit about her.

So apparently Sakura is allowed to be shipped with other people, different anime’s, and adults from naruto but when Sasuke is shipped with someone else like a boy or girl, they go insane and say shit “nOoo sAuKe iS OnLY mEaNT fOr sAkUrA!!!” And bash other ships that include sasuke who is not Sakura or attack people if they don’t ship sasusaku. I’m not saying all sasusaku fans are like this but to the ones who like act this.

It’s funny about this. Just because sasuke looked at her doesn’t mean he loves her. The first one when I saw it in Pinterest and checked the comments and some of the comments were saying “Sasuke retsuden is canon”! Let me tell you this, Sasuke retusden is not canon for fuck sakes, I believe the cover is made by kishimoto but the novel is made by Jun esaka and if the novel was canon, then it will be written by kishimoto.

What? I don’t think Sakura can even beat itachi. Yes Sakura is strong but I think itachi had more fighting experience/skills than Sakura. If they were was a fight between Sakura and Itachi then Sakura probably would be dead unless she heals. I do believe we were told she was a resistance to genjutsu but if he puts her in a tsukuyomi then she might be dead because you can’t break free or cancel it from itachi tsukuyomi like he did to Kakashi. Sakura is strong but not the same level as itachi I believe.

I don’t know if this is true or not, so I’m just going to between believing it and not believing it but I just want to say about this. People attacked or shit on Hinata for stalking naruto but not Sakura? Sakura chased sasuke on his journey/traveling until he said yes and no one says it. In my opinion both Sakura and Hinata either deserve jail time or criticism for that or just deserve to be single.

“Sakura deserves better” When people say this, they putting the blame on Sasuke like Sasuke is the one that turned her like this. It’s not sasuke fault, Sakura chose to be that or Kishimoto wrote her that way. Sakura can’t accept no from Sasuke when he told her he wasn’t interested in her multiple times. Sakura legit can’t take no as an answer and still chase a guy who treated her like shit. In my opinion when people say “Sakura deserves better” meaning my opinion she deserves better character development and goals not winning over a guy who treats like shit.

Remember this is my opinion about Sakura little, if you’re a Sakura fan or sasusaku fan, it’s better for you to not view this because I’m not going to waste my time bothering arguing with you about this. I would like Sakura more if kishimoto knew how to write woman.

Falling in love with Naruto had been so easy.

It was no slow descend either, just a breathy exhale one morning when you saw him run down the street yelling something so stupid and endearing and your heart pitter-pattered in your chest like a bird taking flight.

Just like that you understood how Sakura could wait years for Sasuke, how Temari could fondly roll her eyes at Shikamaru.

Everything felt possible all at once when you realized he felt the same.

Sitting with him for hours at Ichirakus, fondly watching him eat while his foot nudged yours underneath. Training with him until your muscles ached was worth every pain when he carried you home, his thumbs rubbing circles into your thighs, your nose buried in his hair.

When he asked you to move in with him, it felt like life made finally sense.

A Shinobis’s life was always rough and short, most of the time. You’d wondered, time and time again, why you subjected yourself to that, until you woke up to Naruto making breakfast shirtless for the first time, knowing you’d be able to have this again and again and again.

Falling in love was worth the fall with the right person, you thought.

But you can't live your life

Walking in the clouds

Sooner or later

You have to come down

It's like a knife, through the heart

When it all comes apart

It's like someone takes a pin to your balloon

It's a hole, it's a cave

It's kind of like a grave

When he tells you that he's found somebody new

And why they call it falling

Now I know

Falling out of love was so much harder than you had thought.

At least for you.

It had started with extra training, you thought, looking back.

He needed to be a Jonin to make it to Hokage, he had explained and you’d totally understood.

He needed to train with other people too, to broaden his fighting experience. That you understood as well.

But then it grew from training with you twice a week to once every two weeks and when you crawled into his lap one evening, asking about spending time together, he’d heaved a tired sigh, making you feel like an inconvenience instead of the love of his life, as he had called you so many times before.

The life of a Shinobi is a hard one. You make the best of your time everyday, hold your dear ones close because you never know if you’lle see them again.

Which made it sting even more when all you got was a tired excuse or, even worse, a shadow clone.

Exactly one year after moving in with him you moved out, his shadow clone standing by helplessly as you told him not to bother.

“I’ll see myself out.”

You thought that was the worst part. Losing the one you loved to the life of a Shinobi would have been terrible but something you’d expected since your first day at academy. Losing him to his life long dream hurt more because he could have had both if he wanted to.

But the truth, the truth hurt way more.

Because only two weeks after moving out you’d realized through a careless comment that training with other people had not been what you had thought it meant.

You could see it now, the way he laughed at Hinata’s comments, how his eyes followed her around.

He had not just fallen out of love with you, he had fallen in love with someone else.

And everyone knew.

One month after moving out you gripped the doorhandle tightly, thinking one last time about what you were about to do before you stepped inside.

The sixth Hokage gave you a sympathetic smile as a greeting, cementing what you’d already known. Everyone knew. And it would only get worse when Naruto decided to make his new relationship status public.

You couldn’t hate Hinata for it. You couldn’t even bring yourself to hate Naruto.

All you could do was run.

“I heard there’s a position available?” Your voice barely shook as you spoke. “As a permanent Konoha representative in Suna?”

You watch his eyes widen in understanding. His voice is cool and soothing as he speaks.

“Are you sure you want to do this? You wouldn’t be able to come back for a few years at least, only on a few short visits probably.”

You forced yourself to smile, knowing it wouldn’t reach your eyes. It hadn’t in months.

“I always wanted to live in the desert.”

When you left Konoha, your home, your family, your love behind, you realized one thing.

Now you knew why they called it falling.

This is a surprisingly loaded question because I have so many and some of them span for almost 20 years now.

Also, as usual, disclaimer, since I've seen all the ship wars and holywars, THESE ARE ALL PERSONAL OPINION. PERSONAL OPINION ONLY.

(endless yapping below the cut)

In the past:

My first ship when I was 12 was Pain/Konan, and I think that was the first smut I've ever read like period. I was a big cheerleader of Hinata and Naruto/Hinata because I liked that Hinata just minded her business and stayed in her lane while everyone else was going thru shit (Team 8 had the best work-life balance, I think, they just clocked in and clocked out, no shenanigans). Obviously, Temari/Shikamaru and I loved Neiji/Tenten. I think as a kid these were like really fun dynamics. Once the anime reached the Akatsuki I was all over the Akatsuki LMAO.

But now, as a grown adult, I am almost 99% just KKHD, and Akatsuki ships are like the default absolute truth to me, but recently, I've been obsessed with more Naruto Yuri.

Love Ino/Sakura for that double-income spy who owns a secret flower shop/doctor dynamic; it's just nice. Like I am a firm believer that they could have solved their differences by scissoring or something. Also like, I think their backstory is like an insane missed opportunity (but what's written cannot be unwritten, so whatever) because these pages made me feel like I was reading some kind of josei backstory. Like, go ahead and read these pretending this is not from Naruto, and tell me where do u think this could be from.

Like "pussy from a girl who treats you like a small stupid animal (good until psychic damage hits)"

Like, I would be like, this is either a shoujo manga, or the next page is older Sakura crying in the kitchen with a photo of Ino or something, and then by the end of the story, they, like fuck in the field or something while Sakura is like "I can't believe my toxic female friend from school has 4 fingers up my pussy!", but this could just be projecting, but I still like the ship. On a serious note, Sakura being a crybaby who was picked on would have been a fun opportunity to play with her character and create more empathy for Naruto within her, but her role was more like tying the two characters together, which worked well, but lots of people were salty, but it pushed people to support her character more so it evens out.

Tsunade/Shizune is like my next super fave, especially after rewatching the Tsunade arc. Tsunade's character is just so well done when it comes to how people cope with grief by doing destructive things, I loved it; Kishimoto is fantastic at mature story beats like this weaved between magical ninja fights. But yeah I loved their dynamic like Shizune is essentially her attendant/pet girl/assistant who is extremely loyal to her, but also nagging in a way and also Shizune is just very animated and kinda dorky while Tsunade is a calm mommy- sorry a mature rich woman of status who needs to be taken care of (nearly blacked out writing this). Their back and forth is just chef kiss, too. Honestly, I think that's my favourite Naruto arc; the first part of Naruto is great when it comes to mundane details that I now have more appreciation for.

And obviously still love Temari/Shikamaru! I loved that Shikamaru was always very tsundere and going on about how much he hates girls, but deep down is actually like, "Me when a bad bitch tells me to do anything." it's a satisfying way to play with his "character flaw". Seeing him go soft on Temari was like a mini character arc within his already happening character arc during Sasuke's pursuit, like we saw him grow up twice, great stuff!

The entire chapter 235 is just an amazing growth for Shikamaru in elevating the like "men/women" way of thinking to like "what makes a person who they are" way of thinking I really love that. The character is also a great reminder for those afraid of failing btw.

Kakashi/Iruka is my fave, 50% from a historical standpoint; the fact that you can find Kakairu fanfic on Geocities from 2001, and I have some doujins in my collection that are more than 20 years old now is fascinating to me. Love how incredibly loyal the Japanese fans are to Iruka; these guys were holding onto hope for so many years till the Pain arc and then, boom, Studio Pierrot's final Naruto arc!!! It's just incredible fandom history. I love that kinda stuff, love the ship itself too, it's very homey to me, some of the legendary fic they had was fantastic, like entire book's length, incredibly loyal fans.

[Naruto rant/criticism]

Please don’t interact if you’re going to insult me for having an opinion that differs from your, I will correctly tag this post so if you’re a nh stan read at your own risk. I’m not responsible of your actions.

In the recent days I’ve really been having a naruhina hate brainrot. I’ve actually always disliked that pair since the first days I started watching this anime. But the more I think about this ship and the more I dislike it and see less reasons to enjoy it.

Yeah I used to ship ss in the past, because even if Sasuke never has been interested at least he was Sakura’s teammate and had plenty of missions together. (Well I learnt from my mistakes but that’s not the topic of this post!)

However, what do Naruto and Hinata have seriously? For being characters who got married and one of them being the mc their interactions were barely existent and Naruto having basic human decency toward her isn’t a proof of him having romantic feelings. I still literally can’t picture him being on a relationship with her either, no matter how much I try. I always used to find this ship painfully bland, boring, tasteless. I would rate it a solid 1/10 at best, and I’m on a good mood rn.

I got spoiled very early that they were going to be together at the end and even despite that when I watched the last episodes it blew my mind when I saw them going to be married all of sudden. It was so hard to believe. If they were so planned to be together since the beginning they could’ve at least given them some development idk it’s not even that complicated I don’t ask Kishimoto to write peak romance. Don’t even talk to me about "The Last" lol that movie is just laughable. It’s basically Naruto into a genjutsu and Sakura forcing him, guilt tripping him to love Hinata and telling him how much "he deserves her". No sorry but I can’t take this sh*t seriously.

Another thing, when I still was into the first episodes of the series I used to think that Hinata will have a development, she will be strong and all but I was apparently wrong as hell because she’s just as pointless, irrelevant but more annoying and her whole existence stills revolve around N-Naruto-kun 🥺👉👈. The shippuden era was the moment when she seriously started to get on my nerves. She reached a new low when Neji frustratingly f*cking died for her the the only thing she was thinking about was N-Naruto-kun’s big warm and manly hand. The audacity lmao. I would be so ashamed to myself at her place. Also there’s nothing wrong with her being a housewife, raising kids is far from being an easy task by the way but she could’ve at least done something for her clan as the "Hyuga princess", especially about the oppression and slavery that endured the secondary branch through generations and that caused the death of her cousin in front of her. But no, she got married to N-Naruto-kun, so it doesn’t matter, damn why am I even surprised, that was the only goal of her life anyway. That cute uwu girl’s """"development"""" disappointed me a lot, to say the least, I saw a lot of potential in her not gonna lie.

Poor her, she existed only for the sake of a ship that happened just for the dull sequel also more commonly known as "Boruto".

Why I Ship BoruSumi

No hate

In Naruto, it was all about shipping. People love watching Naruto or other characters having romantic relationships with others and ship baits and it was exciting to see what would be end game. It was all about the fun. But a part of the fandom took that fun and made it a nightmare (NaruSaku/Sakura) fandom. They sent death threats to Masashi Kishimoto and the team to make NaruSaku canon and loved hating on any other character that interacted with Naruto, mostly Hinata Hyuga. But after the ending of Naruto, some of the fandom can’t seem to accept that. They moved onto the kids, hoping to live out their delusions through them (Boruto and Sarada). After Boruto the movie came out, most people speculated that they would be canon, and because the next gen wasn’t planned yet, they had no one else to pair Boruto up with, so that’s why there are a lot of blushing scenes.

Now, BoruSumi is one of Boruto’s most popular ships, along with BoruSara. Here's why I ship BoruSumi:

Opposites:

Ever heard of the saying, “opposites attract”. Yeah, well, that’s true in this case. Most Naruto/Boruto couples are yin and yang. Yin being quiet, emotionless, and shy. Whereas yang is loud, obnoxious, and easily angered. Boruto was quickly ruled out as yang, whereas Sumire was ruled as yin. Boruto often pulled pranks and would shout and have random outbursts. Sumire was shown to be quiet and shy and scared whenever her class was having fall outs, which was easily shown in one episode where the class was having a girl VS boy battle. Even after her arc, she was still shown to be scared about other people and what they think of her and a shy and caring person:

Now, every Naruto/Boruto character get their personality from either their mother or father and Naruto and Sasuke got theirs from their mothers and married someone like their fathers (Hinata/Minato and Sakura/Fugaku). Even Itachi got Mikoto's personality and Izumi had Fugaku's (it was confirmed that Itachi loved her). It's only fair since Boruto inherited his father's personality that he marries someone like his mother, that being Sumire. Sarada, in contrast to what people think, actually inherited her mother's personality.

2. Treat each other differently:

Sumire is kind so she treats everyone equally, but she has confirmed her feelings towards Boruto twice, but this one's mostly pointed towards Boruto.

Chocho: Shouted at her, angry at her, called her a liar, etc:

Namida: He's barely had any interaction with her but she is a friend of his. But in this scene, he didn't have a direct conversation with her, but still wanted to help. But judging from his calmness, her wanting to not be a ninja didn't bug him much. He has also seen to tease her and Wasabi:

Sarada: He didn't see her as a normal girl and hated her guts, vice versa. But as the anime/manga went on, he became comfortable around her and saw her as only a teammate:

But with Sumire, he listens to her like she's his mom, which Sumire is technically the mom or big sister of the group:

3. He doesn't call her by her name:

People may think this is a con to the ship, but it's actually a pro. In Japan, calling someone by their title has shown to be respectful and calling people like how Boruto calls Kakashi, Konohamaru and Hanabi is shown to be disrespectful. Now, he probably thinks he's not close or not good enough to call her by her name. But he always respected her, more than I can say for Sarada and his own sensei. He only called her by her name once and that was when he had saved her from darkness, but it was also life-changing for him, meaning her name meant something to him. That was when Sumire started having feelings, too. 4. Jealousy: Sumire has shown jealous (the scene where Boruto was chasing Sarada on the boat in the Kiri arc), but it was barely displayed. Boruto, however was shown jealousy over her two times (probably even more but I haven't watched the whole show, just up to episode 232, but these are the scenes I can remember):

5. Boruto was worried for Sumire when she was in trouble:

In the last scene, Boruto was upset (and in the novel, he even cried for her) and blamed himself for her getting hurt.

6. Boruto blames himself for Sumire getting hurt:

In the novel (as mentioned earlier), Boruto cried for Sumire in the novel, but in the anime, it showed him as worried. It got so bad that Sarada had to drag him out. He then vowed to stop the guy who hurt her.

7. Those around Boruto seem to know he gets a bit overprotective of Sumire:

Shikadai:

He was worried about Boruto's reaction when Inojin said that Sumire might be transferring.

After Inojin opened his big mouth, Boruto instantly became angry and tried getting her back.

Mitsuki:

Mitsuki is a bit different because he doesn't know but he does, if that makes sense. It's obvious that Mitsuki likes Boruto (I'm pretty sure it's confirmed), so that technically makes Sumire his rival. But Mitsuki still seemed to know that whenever Sumire was involved, Boruto would act differently and rush over to her. He knew he acted differently around her. He even went as far to ask her about Boruto when she was in the hospital, all because he took Inojin's words out of context and assumed she liked him.

Naruto:

Boruto's own father seemed to know how much Boruto cared for her. Naruto probably realized this when Boruto asked him to use his Hokage title. You could see the realization on his face and the smile he gave him was a "I will, trust me" one (there is a pic, but I can't find it).

Hinata:

A mother knows her child best, right? Hinata had been in love with Naruto since childhood, so she knew about young love. She didn't know Sumire in person, but she knew that she was important to Boruto since he rarely ever asks anything from his father.

7. Boruto trusts Sumire:

Now, Boruto trusts all his comrades, but he trusted Sumire even after everything that she did and his trust in her was unbelievable. He put his life in her hands even though she tried to destroy his home and family. He even put faith in her and wanted to protect her and couldn't chose between her and the village.

8. Parallels:

KawaSumi is parallel with SasuHina (purple being mc's rival and lover, but Kawaki's and Sasuke's are leaning towards black, but at one point was purple) and BoruSara is parallel with SasuKari/NaruSaku.

In Sumire's data book, it was confirmed that she loved Boruto, just like Hinata's and Sakura's confirmed their love to their respective partners.

But this is all my opinion and why I ship them. But if you ship BoruSara then that's fine. But these are my reasons for shipping this ship and I'm pretty sure it's canon because of the last point. I don't think that Ino or Karin's have confirmed their feelings for Sasuke when the series was going on. And I know Sarada's definitely hasn't. But ship your own ship.

Only time will tell, I guess. and the decisions for Kishi to decide and some rabid fans sending death threats to him to make their ship canon won't change his mind.

I know it's old news at this point, but something that will always be funny to me that I don't see enough people talking about -- probably because it's so dumb and irrelevant -- but I just love how the Sakura/SS fandom love to come for SP over anything regarding that girl and their ship. Despite the fact that I personally see SP give so many unwarranted good moments for them compared to negative moments, but that's none of my business.

I would also like to state that I am not a fan of the Restuden series, especially Sasuke and Naruto Restuden from the things I've read. Mainly because I think the plot itself is entirely stupid and out of left field for Naruto to suddenly become basically allergic to Kurama in his late twenties early '30s. I could honestly care less about the shipy moments in these novels, but when will people admit the only reason that they like these stories is because it caters to one specific ship? You honestly don't think the story is good because it's not. You just like that Sakura gets highlight to her romance and to some random badass moments. Like come on? How long can you really sit here and pretend that you like that they're fighting dinosaurs? Especially with the largest dinosaur being a herbivore? I'll wait.

Anyway the point I'm trying to make is they praise Jun Esaka, who I'm rather indifferent towards but I find the hate she gets quite ridiculous and absurd at points. They often claim she should be the writer and take over for Boruto because she is a SS shipper and in her stories that involve them she makes content that suits their needs. I.e. Sasuke being a jealous simp and mushy father, Sakura being more confident and damn near wearing the pants in their relationship, random powers that other characters specialize in but suddenly they can use it (for example all of a sudden Sakura can use sensory jutsu, which is Karin's specialty, and Sasuke can use healing and ice style), And overall just all the romance that they had hoped for. Again for example the infamous ring scene, which depending on who you ask was either a good adaption or SP was ruining Sakura. And then you have the lake scene which again they bash them for cutting out certain moments. And finally you have Sasuke screaming for his wife and just overall them being lovey-dovey. And actually don't even get me started on the horrendous motorcycle scene that I guess is in Naruto Restuden, which is the only reason they want that novel adapted but not Kakashi's cause I guess they're not in that.

(Same fans that will come at Hinata for holding hands with Naruto after Neji died despite giving a whole speech pertaining to her cousin, are also the same fans that want Sakura and Sasuke to kiss over a dying Naruto while she drives a motorcycle.... Make it make sense)

Anywho I'm getting so far off my topic but I'm also getting close to my point. The thing I find so funny about Retsuden fans, is the fact that since the anime was far ahead of the manga adaptation, we got to see Sakura get tricked and stabbed by Jiji. When this episode came out, the outpour of rage and disrespect towards this studio -- who has both good and bad moments and I am not a full defender of them because I will admit they can be very biased -- was all I could see on Twitter. I honestly see why people say Twitter is such a toxic place because the fandom on that is just ridiculous. It's just constant arguing more so than on here. Anyway that's besides the point, but I saw so many people trash and compare the anime to the novel since the manga had not gotten to that point yet. They like to say why did he hug her? He never hugged her! There they go making Sakura weak again because she would never do that! Why would she let another man hug her when her husband is right there? Just wait until Sasuke sees what he did to his wife! And just basically overall a bunch of nastiness towards the fact that Sakura was pulled in for a hug by Jiji for an uncomfortably good while before getting stabbed in the back and she did nothing to stop it.

So the funny part is that while everybody is raging about this moment and saying wait till the manga adaptation comes out because the manga follows closely to the novel; The Manga is so much better, there's nothing but silence when it comes out that the manga did the same exact thing. If not did her dirtier than the anime did AKA than SP did.

Now I don't know what was written in the novel specifically, cuz I have not read it. But the gist of what I'm getting from people who have posted about it is that Sakura is just pulled back and stabbed. There's no hug. In the anime, Sakura is pulled back into a hug where Jiji rests his hand on her head and she just stands there before he stabs her in the back and drops her. Now in the oh so beloved and highly praised and worshiped manga adaptation that everyone was saying would do the novel justice, Sakura gets grabbed and pulled into a hug where, again, Jiji rests his hand on her head before stabbing her in the back. Now the difference is as far as I know, which I could probably be wrong because I never watched further in the scenes than what was on Twitter, is that in the anime he just lets her crawl because the kunai was poisoned.

But in the manga he kicks her in her face while she's already down and feeling the effects of the poison making her knock back against the wall.

Now tell me which one disrespects her more. I'll wait. Because after that panel came out, the only thing I heard was that the manga adaptation was going to be put on a hiatus. That was the only thing that was going around despite that being one of the last panels. Where is the outrage that she let somebody hug her that wasn't her husband, where is the calls for the artist to quit his job or that he's wrong and that that would never happen to her? Where is the same amount of rage that y'all put towards SP for animating that but not towards the artist who drew it?

To be honest this fandom, especially Sakura/ss fans really baffle me. I can get wanting moments and great things for your favorites, and I'm not going to pretend that it's only their fandom that acts this way because I've seen plenty of other fandoms including the fandom of my personal favorite Hinata acting out of control, but the amount of blatant hypocrisy and doubled standards that they have towards animators and content creators and anything that has to do with Naruto works is hilarious and astounding.

Yes your ship might be the most popular, and yes your ship might be known as the most powerful in the series. But unfortunately you are one of the most toxic fandoms and I feel bad for the actual neutral parties that just actually enjoy it and don't make it as if they're being bullied every time something doesn't go their way for this ship and character. I now see why people say there is a difference between being a regular Sakura fan and being a Sakura fan that also ships Sasuke and Sakura. And vice versa too when it's said there's a difference between being a Sasuke fan and a Sasuke fan who ships Sasuke and Sakura.

No hate to this author Jun Esaka. I wish her nothing but the best with her pregnancy and with her career because clearly she has fans, as biased as they may be. And to the people who constantly wish harm on this woman just because you don't like her preferences need to get a grip on reality and realize it's literally just cartoons. Yes we can love them and they can inspire us and we can enjoy them, but it is just content for our entertainment. People really need to stop putting their contempt for a character into reality and onto a real person. It is not and will never be that serious. And speaking of reality checks, my final point is that that one manga panel was the exact reality check that that fandom needed to slow their freaking roll and stop having this weird biased hate towards a studio that has often done more good than harm for their ship compared to others.

Pfffffft my recent post aged beautifully, everybody talking bout how Sumire is gonna pretend to like Kawaki and end up actually falling for him are in the mud cuz neither she nor Sarada even bothered to hide that they were unaffected from Ada or anyone else for that matter 😭 can't believe anybody had the gall to call ksa dead but still believed ksu was alive, talk about delusional.

How many times do ppl gotta tell y'all that in the Naruto verse, when a girl falls in love she never moves on whether their feelings are reciprocated or not, they stay in love for life, hence why ino was the only one who moved on because her feelings for Sasuke were shown not to be that deep when she dreamed of him and Sai fighting over her, meaning she was open to being with either one.

You never saw any hint of interest for anyone else from Konan, Tsunade, Sakura, Hinata, Karin, Kurenai, Mito, Yugao, or any other girl who lost their loves, they were all devoted to who they loved and refused to accept anyone else, it was them or nobody.

So HOW y'all thought Sumire was actually gonna fall for Kawaki and move on from Boruto when she's shown being just as devoted to him and him alone I will never know, but unlike y'all try to paint ksa, ksu actually IS dead and it's time to let it go.

It was a crack ship fueled by nothing but headcanon and keeping borusara safe from the start, and it's a crack ship fueled by nothing but headcanon in the end.

Congratulations, Y'all played y'all selves, that's yet another one of your desperate keep away ships blown out of the water right next to kawahima, can't wait till kawaada gets shot down too cuz don't none of y'all keep away ships ever last long after yall start em, they always flop.

Not to be petty but y'all were way too overconfident for something that had zero basis in canon, so much so the anime had to throw y'all some bones just to make her seem relevant in Kawakis circle only to be shown she's not even considered one of his bonds by him, plus the manga completely disregarded what little bones they were thrown by the anime and pushed her feelings and bond with Boruto even harder. But y'all kept ignoring all that and kept fixating on your head canons treating them as canon only for the ACTUAL canon to slap you in the face, so I feel zero sympathy for this ships demise, I really don't, it was never genuine in the first place and always came at the expense of Sumire and Kawakis own feelings so yea, I don't respect it or it's shippers because it was all fake forced bs.

As for the maybe 2 ppl who genuinely did like this garbage I'm not referring to you, I'm referring to the fakes who tried to pretend like they were on your side but really weren't.

Disclaimer: I am in no way telling ppl they have to stop shipping ksu now cuz it's dead, zutara and makkora are both dead ships and ppl still ship them because who gives af? Ppl ignore canon all the time. All IM saying is since the ship has sunk you should probably get off your high horse now cuz your in no position to talk about any other ships status or probability cuz yours is gone now, I'm not telling you to stop shipping, I'm just saying it's time to be humble.

random ramblings

I have an exam tomorrow on literary criticism (structuralism, bakhtin and all that jazz) so I was playing around with my old otps as an exercise while studying huzzah, and the more I look back on it, the MORE nonsensical all the ship wars are looking

Because its one thing to not prefer a ship and its ANOTHER to just go delulu and say that the canon ship should not have happened because *insert nonsensical galaxy brain level argument here*, and yes I am talking about sasusaku, renruki and nalu

Like Sasusaku has always been the obvious choice, starting from the moment Sasuke went “who did this to you” in his rage to when Sakura calmed him down with a back hug. Sakura got taken a peg down after Sasuke scolded her for treating Naruto poorly. Sasuke THANKED Sakura before knocking her out and placing her on the bench and leaving. Sasuke began attacking Sakura proper AFTER she tried to kill him. There is a dynamic between them, there is ACTION in a way you don’t see with either Naruto or Karin. I could go on and on, but my point is, Narusaku or even Sasukarin was honestly never going to happen. If these two had to end up with anyone, it would be with each other. This is a classic ETL couple folks!!

For Sakura particularly, Naruto represents an innocent and childish life (Naruto you’re a fine guy no lie, Hinata was suited better for you) and Sasuke is the dangerous option that forces her to sexually mature and grow up (remember, we’re focusing on structure here not the execution, whatever your opinions may be), so Kishi wasn’t wrong when he said that pairing Naruto and Sakura would have been unfair (paraphrased a bit). Naruto isn’t losing out much either, a gentle girl like Hinata who has loved him from the start (you see the pattern of first love coming up here?) was always his better match in the long run.

You can achieve the same effect with FTL as well, if we look at Renruki and NaLu. Kubo gave the angst of separation and pining with Renji and Rukia and the metaphor of “the stray dog barking at the moon”, which was not exactly a thing with Ichigo and Rukia. An argument can be made about “black sun and white moon”, but since Orihime gave the push to Ichigo for going to save Rukia, it didn’t quite feel strong. But in the interests of staying fair, I’ll say that we did have two options: bickering friends or, “we used to be friends but now we’re enemies”.

THEN came the nail in the coffin.

Legit all bets were off the SECOND Ichigo tossed Rukia into Renji’s arms and basically gave his blessing/aashirvad to run away and basically saying ”Jaa Rukia, jee le apni zindagi” (Translation: go Rukia, live your own life, this one’s inspired by DDLJ hehehe). Like I would not give away the woman I am in love with to my romantic rival and tell him to TAKE HER AWAY. HELLO. THIS IS GOING AGAINST THE NARRATIVE BEHAVIOUR. THIS IS GIVING SECOND LEAD SYNDROME BEHAVIOUR. ICHI HAS BECOME THE KULJEET TO RENJI’S RAJ (Or more accurately Simran’s dad lmao.)

So what’s the point in saying all this, you may ask. Well, now that I’ve said it I’ll make my argument: STRUCTURE and NARRATIVE decides whether the author’s writing decisions were poor and not the reader’s preferences. And I’ve taken a neutral stance earlier on the last ship in my list but now I’m committing: NaLu HAS to be canon.

I had said earlier that NaLi could potentially be canon, again for the sake of fairness, but looking at it now I’m changing my opinion. Natsu and Lisanna were set up to interact more but Mashima changed his mind halfway through and just didn’t do much with Lisanna. You can see how great his writing decisions are there, but the technicalities are to be reserved for another post, another day. If I am to try getting more fancy about it, Lisanna represents Natsu’s childhood while Lucy represents a mature and adult future.

Point is that by process of elimination, Natsu and Lucy have to end up with each other. Or remain as friends. Considering Natsu said to Lucy “we’ll be together forever”, these two will be a thing at some point in the future, unless Mashima pulls a HIMYM or something (TOUCHWOOD, even though the guy did canonize Gruvia, Gajevy and Jerza...)

I was on Twitter today and I saw some people say that the only reason why borusara's feelings are being lightly hinted is because boruto is not a romance manga and it's an action one so romance is not the main focus that's why borusara's feelings for each other aren't confirmed yet.

Now me personally, I disagree. I don't think that's the reason why their so called romantic feelings isn't confirmed. Naruto wasn't a romance manga either but at least some characters romantic feelings were confirmed many times (Sakura – Hinata) Same goes to other shonen mangas.(bleach,samurai x and so on)

But if it's like what they say then...What is stopping ikemoto/kishimoto from making borusara's feelings canon? Right now they're the most popular ship in the boruto fandom, majority of the fandom expects them to happen right? Wouldn't they be benefited from making it happen?

So what is stopping them from making borusara canon?

I will tell you my opinion. Borusara is just like Narusaku. Just like how SP pushed narusaku in the past they're now doing the same thing with borusara. (They can't even hide their favouritism 💀) Not only the anime but the boruto chibi manga(?) also throws in a lot of borusara moments. The same thing happened with narusaku which obviously made a lots of narusaku shippers confident abt their ship becoming canon.

SP even goes as far as deleting important sumire moments/borusumi moments and adding borusara & kawasumi moments. Same thing happened with NH too. And keep in mind the person who adds those borusara moments and keeps deleting any scene related to sumire is Noriyuki Abe.

The same person who directed bleach and ruined it for ih shippers/orihime stans. He's the one who always added those useless ir moments and mischaracterized orihime. I also heard that kubo did not like the anime adaptation bc of the changes and he felt like this wasn't the story he wrote. Now same thing is happening with boruto💀

Even in the damn novel they made it seem like every single thing that boruto does in his life is for sarada and right after doing that they deleted the scene were boruto was crying for sumire.

Now with all this said I want to conclude that borusara's feelings not being confirmed isn't bc boruto is a shonen manga it's bc they won't happen and if they do god they would be miserable. Most of the shippers feed on the extra fillers and novel but when you bring up the fact that only 2 have confirmed their feelings for boruto and that they might have a higher chance of ending up with them they deny it and say that it's only a crush (news flash: it's not. sumire's feelings has been confirmed to be love. ROMANTIC LOVE)

+ I feel like couples from the same group are miserable. Sasuke & Sakura / Tsunade & Jiraiya are the biggest examples of that.

Sai deserves love. Ino deserves support post war. They can deal with it together, be there for each other. Sai can learn a lot about expression from her, Ino can help him on his way to becoming more like the self he wants to be, not the one he was told to be.

Sakura needed healing and love after being almost murdered by the guy she harboured so many feelings for and Lee would absolutely provide that. And not in a "oh this girl is very vunerable right now gotta take advantage" but in a "this is the girl i love and the girl i cherish and I will take care of her"

Hi:) saw your art on Twitter it's really breathtaking. Apart from that I also saw you ship a lot for sns and do really support them more than most of the shippers. But here is a opinion I had, you guys believe sauske and naruto should be together as a couple. It's not a wrong thing to be gay as it's 2022 xD. But kisimoto doesn't state they are gay Or sauske love Naruto sexually and vice versa. I mean Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship is based off of Kishimoto and his twin’s relationship. He has a twin brother whom he’s very close to, and who he says he shares pain with - not in a literal sense, but in the sense that if his twin is in pain and he knows this, he also suffers pain emotionally. Naruto and Sasuke’s brotherly bond is written to emulate that. If he wrote Naruto and Sasuke romantically, that would be turning his feelings for his twin into romantic/sexual feelings. I think you can see why he didn’t want to do that, and why he repeatedly underlined that they were brothers.Naruto called Sasuke his brother as far back as Final Valley. He did it again when confronting Itachi before Itachi’s death.

Romance was never on the table.

I am honestly confused how some people equate a brotherly bond into a romantic one. 🥴

It’s important to note that in Kishimoto’s story, a bunch of people tried to sway him from his plans (like doing Narusaku) but overall, he has always stayed on tracked on how he wanted the characters to end.

P.S. I know there is not really LGBTQ+ representation in anime but forming baseless assumptions does not help, especially if the author already conveyed their ideals. :) if author didn't create this universe our childhood would be dead. Arguing with author, well doesn't make sense does it.

Also before people say (but kishi was going to make them before), send me proof of him stating that, I will wait, I have literally searched it up, and I can’t find it.

Anyways, Naruto and hinata are suppose to be together, heck, it was hinted on SINCE THE START, it's a fact.

Ah, either way, they’re straight, its official, Naruto and Sasuke are just, beyond a brotherly bond, Im not saying its gay (of course not) but it is a very tight brotherly bond, even though by blood, they are far from brothers. We can't rewrite the story anyway because it's already been published and ended with hinata with naruto , sauske with sakura.

We have a Mangaka that uses a Visual Medium that primarily relies on components like spacing, lines, shapes, tones, contrast, rhythm, composition etc- to effectively convey things like moods and emotions and with that utilize important relationships within that story structure, agree?

Naruto is a visual blend that has become one of the most successful manga in the world in which Kishimoto is the director and staff (screenwriter, cinematographer, costume designer, director, art director, actors, props, set pieces, special effects, makeup) all by himself while creating the story (in all its glory) and carefully draws the pages which then go by the extremely meticulous editors from WSJ every week.

And you say that he, Kishimoto, a visual storyteller, has to “state”.. as in express in words, in some interview, how a character feels after the whole story is over, because we didn’t understand? He couldn’t fit it in? There was no time? His favorite pancake shop had a free delivery deal and that took priority?

You sound like you know him personally. Kishimoto has said a lot of things in interviews, one thing more contradicting than the other. There are a multitude of “interviews” going around, more often than not without sources and yet, even in favor of SNS, I wouldn’t use them in an argument. Especially in later interviews the man seemed to have forgotten what he had said in another- now… why would it be so quiet?

Interviews are not valid arguments (imo), but I’ll entertain you since I know which interview you’re talking about.

Funnily enough, when you look for it, mainly SS pages come up seemingly in a very desperate attempt to push the whole “SNS are brothers”-scheme under everyone’s noses.

Which is even more funny, no? If the strength of faith in their ships were completely rock solid, surely they would have been able to dismiss contrasting information with a pitying smile. Or might not even feel offended at all.

This is just one account and it is full of posts like this that go from “oh they’re brothers, aw, uwu, so cute :3” to very aggressive nonsense that proves these posts are only meant to emphasize on the “brother”-part in the first place. Not caring about Naruto or Sasuke AT ALL. Taking a tiny excerpt from a whole interview and completely milking it as much as possible.

If that is of more importance than intellectual content.. like.. I dunno, for example.. the whole story of Naruto(!?) then that just means, for what it looks like, resentment, anger and hurt pride.. why exactly?

When you can’t even hold a rational discussion anymore, because a contrary view causes you to step on a minefield of emotional responses and you have to preach to 35k+ people that your ship LOVES each other, because “I found a written sentence online so it must be true and you have to believe me✌🏼”.. then what does that imply?

If the translations are correct then he didn’t say Naruto and Sasuke have a “brotherly bond”. He said their friendship is modeled after the one he felt with his brother. Which is feeling the pain of the other. And that love/bond feeling and friendship for him is the same. It wasn’t necessarily about his brother. There is a difference in context there.

Besides, he also has said that he couldn’t “put in words” what their relationship is and how hard that is for him to describe. He dodged that question several times too. But sure, hold on to that, I guess. He’s an artist, creator, author.. surely he would know and surely such questions aren’t needed, but hey, here we are.

(Also.. “everything doesn’t always go as planned”, aye?)

Saying that Naruto and Sasuke loving each other romantically is the same as then forcing the idea that the author feels sexually attracted to his twin is comically outrageous. Can you at least, for once, agree with me?

Which is also why, luckily, there is a very clear and distinctive difference in how Sasuke treats his brother and how he treats Naruto.. or you know, anyone for that matter.

Now, this is where I’ll disagree with you. Please go back to VotE1 and count the number of times they call each other ‘friend’. (This includes side-notes.) No, I’m serious.

And are delighted to call this proof of them seeing each other as brothers.. and yet, that’s not at all what is happening. Let’s talk about the context.

Sasuke never acknowledges Naruto being his brother or feeling like he is his brother OR his bond with Naruto feeling “brotherly”. (Where do “you guys” (your words) even get this from anyway?)

The only reason Naruto brings it up here is because he was wondering if being with Sasuke was what it would feel like to have a brother, because he obviously felt something. Yet, as they both acknowledge, Naruto never had such bonds, so he wouldn’t know, but Sasuke does since he has/had Itachi. (And grew up with a family.) Therefore he doesn’t answer to that, yet calls Naruto his closest friend.

“It wasn’t all meaningless. To me you have become my closest friend.”

Naruto questions Sasuke's choice of words. Why? Well, for one, they're fighting and Sasuke is seemingly trying to kill him here, but also hearing Sasuke say this made Naruto even more confused.

“I have to make sure.. what Sasuke’s talking about.. about me..” (Naruto doing everything he can to try and understand.)

“How are we friends?”

“I don’t understand.”

“But if..”

“Maybe I thought..”

Naruto in VotE1 is so confused. (Can we blame him?) The whole fight includes Naruto’s confessions about Sasuke, what he initially thought and felt to then: “I aspired to be like you” “I always wanted to be like you” “I was truly glad you acknowledged me” “I wanted to talk to you”. Him saying “when I’m with you I wonder if it’s like being with a brother”, followed up with mutual silence makes a lot of sense if you take everything into consideration and not just copy/paste one panel so you can say: “See? Brothers.” Because that is not what it is. But then again, I’ve read enough pro-canon posts to not be surprised.

(This includes Naruto wondering whether being with Iruka is what it would feel like to be with a father.)

((And if you really, REALLY want to be picky and hold on to the little cut taken out of some ‘Kishimoto interview’-theory, then remember these details, because Naruto is a child here. And if there is anything Naruto has done throughout the story then it is doing his best to try and understand. This includes himself.))

If I had the time and I wouldn’t scare people away from my blog with it, I would type endlessly about VotE1 & 2 and how insanely accurate the details are when it comes to them ‘growing up’. How they really have gone from A to B physically, but especially mentally.

In particular, the childish way in which Naruto is arguing with Sasuke in VotE1. Gosh, the people who are complaining about him and how “pushy” he is and that he “doesn’t understand Sasuke” and blablabla.. yes!! That is the point!!! And that is what is so beautiful about it, because it comes from a heart that tries to reach out to Sasuke in order to protect. To protect a bond, to protect someone that is precious to him (as is established in LoW-Arc). Naruto knew what "going to Orochimaru (of all people.. snake.. being(?))" would mean for Sasuke. He was scared for him.

"You might get killed! I can't let you go somewhere like that!"

(NarUtO nEvEr caRed fOr sAsuKe. Stfu.)

In no other anime or any other medium are two characters this focussed on each other calling each other friend this many times as if we as an audience perhaps would forget or something. (As if.) Neither is Sasuke satisfied with that word, but we’ll let that slide for now.

Yet on one single occasion Naruto felt the need to say: “He’s like a brother to me.”

Uhm?!

“More of a brother than he ever was to you!”

Ah see, now it makes sense. I mean at this point we’re already aware of Naruto’s personality and his intense care towards Sasuke, no?

Even Itachi himself says so.

Itachi isn’t stupid by any means. In fact, if you go back to this scene Kishimoto made sure to draw several panels of him with just a “knowing look”.

“You just said..

“I’m asking what you’d do if your “brother” attacked Konoha.” Now why couldn’t he say something like: “I’m asking what you’d do if Sasuke attacked Konoha?” Itachi is not a petty person. He’s trying to illustrate to himself, but Naruto even, what Sasuke truly means to this blonde dude that fights tooth and nail for his little brother.

“What is it about my brother that makes you care so much?”

Itachi keeps questioning Naruto, his intentions are too obvious if you’re willing to look beyond a hetero biased shipping lens. (If only.)

(Also, I personally always found it interesting that Itachi never asked "why are you doing this?", "why are you doing this for Sasuke?" or something similar. Could be that I have wrong translations though (let me know!), but "what is it about my brother" Really?)

Yeah its all so very hetero.

This is just another case of “he said the word brother so they’re brothers” without taking in the whole scene. Or the whole story for that matter, because in literally any other scene Naruto is screaming, begging and pining over his friend Sasuke. (And the amount of unfinished sentences in this manga are killing me.)

And boy does it all look so friendly.

"Romance was never on the table."

Undoubtedly Kishimoto wrote a love story even if you don’t see it as ‘romance’ necessarily. If the journey between these two characters is described as anything other than “love”, again, take it how it resonates for you, then that’s quite ignorant. You’ll have to completely ignore the author’s intent and complete substance that essentially is “Naruto”. Why make it so boring for yourself?

But anyway, yes, it’s Shonen Manga “cool battles between the hero and monsters and they win through the power of friendship!”. At least.. it’s supposed to be. On a surface level. Can we not disrespect the story and Kishimoto like that? Thank you.

Glad you shared with us which hints these are btw, lemme guess: little, sweet Hinata has always been there for Naruto, right? Supported him from the deep, dark shadows of trauma that has become her favorite hiding place: behind a tree. And that earns her the right to become his wife, because that’s all that matters. Who cares how Naruto feels anyway. “Female empowerment!” Yay~ Or just because Hinata is seen in a sketch with a necklace that holds the Uzumaki symbol somehow that should overshadow 699 chapters of story substance, because look. at. that. necklace. Except, everyone with a flak jacket is wearing the Uzumaki symbol and since everyone is Uzumaki family now does that mean Naruto is fucking the whole damn village?

Dunno, for the sake of “NH logic”, I’m just asking.

Smiling to myself at the insane things Naruto and Sasuke say to each other? Understanding the things I see? The emotions, implications and meaning of what is visualized canonically?

In fact, I’m quite aware that I’m kissing Kishimoto’s ass more than I should. (Hey, he’s inspiring to me, I’m kissing anyone’s ass who inspires me. Run.)

A man who uses his real life experiences and relationships that evoked emotions within himself that he used as an example to express within the characters he cares so deeply about I’ll take any day while certain others willingly pluck out of thin air half-assed after-the-fact “statements” that hold no expressive significance whatsoever to satisfy their skimpy ships.

In which case, I’ll agree for one last time. What we consider quality within a story or within a development between two characters in order to give it meaning is different from yours. What we prioritize, you might not even reflect upon.

We simply have different values.

And that’s okay.

what you mean there was no different ending for sasusaku? I think naruto was a better pairing for both of them

I just think it was the most logical resolution.

I´m gonna try to explain why I assumed it without getting in the ship/romantic scenes (this blogger made an awesome analysis about the whole sasusaku thig, btw), since I undestand that´s kind of subjective.

At the start of the series we are presented a three-man squad formed by two boys and a girl. It was just obvious that there was going to be some romantic plot around them, specially when their (kind of) love triangle was setted up from the very beggining. Therefore, two of them were gonna end up together. Now, this is an early 2000s japanese manga, so (though it´s a shit) the boyxboy was not an option in my head.

As it was, Sakura was gonna be with either Naruto or Sasuke at the end of the series.

Starting from this premise, the easy thing is to ship the girl with the protagonist, Naruto, but there´s this other character, this other girl, Hinata, who has a big crush on him, even though he is hated by everyone. That crush had to be important for the plot in some way, because, if not, why even bother to put it there? It definetely was not for comedy releave. I mean, just think about the difference between Lee´s crush on Sakura´s beauty and Hinata´s feelings.

Anyway, we go through genin period with, I think we can all agree, more shipping moments between Sakura and Sasuke than between Sakura and Naruto. But, even if we pass throug it, the thing is that at the end of part one, Sakura is love-strucked, Naruto kind of stepping back and no other girl has interacted with Sasuke.

In part two I did thought that the dinamics could change, since Sasuke wasn´t in the picture and Sakura and Naruto did grew closer to one another. Now, the issues with this were that Hinata was still longing for Naruto´s affection and, most importantly, Sakura´s feelings towards his teammates had not changed. To make the narusaku a thing there had to be some click in her mind, but she never gave it a thought. I actually think Sakura loved Naruto more than Sasuke in her teens (that´s a highly personal opinion, of coruse), but she did it in a fraternal way. Well, she claimed she was still in love with Sasuke even when she was on her way to kill him.

As for Sasuke, him ending up alone was not in my bets either. This guy spent his whole freaking life (and the whole show) craving for his family. For him to be alone forever, was far too depressing. Even at his lowest point, I thought he would die (which was also too ilogical to become true) before having that kind of ending. It was just too cruel. However, if you don´t agree, it was also really weird to create this whole Uchiha super ultra hyped awesome power and have the line ended with Sasuke. The sharingan would be extint! Maybe it´s not objective, but, come on, the Uchiha clan had to be perservered.

Sasuke did not have romantic interaction with anyone, of course. And, to be honest, I think some people ship him with Karin because she was the only girl there (that´s really subjective, though, I don´t like Karin at all). He didn´t really make bonds with anyone, and the only time he showed some care for Team Taka was when they reminded him of Team 7. So, even if I overlook my personal likings, he had to be with someone who was close to him in his genin time (for thoose were the only legitimate bonds he had). Naruto was not an option for both homophobic and reproductive reasons, so, only Sakura was left.

So, yeah, that pretty much sums up why I always assumed Sasuke and Sakura would end up toghether! Anyway I get we all have different pov and the fact that I ship the two of them, had obviously helped me to get to this conclussions. Anyway these are 2D drawings, let´s just let people like whatever they want :)

How good they look once they get toghether though...
