In Tricks' fate, which is to never get out of Jack's shadow and also desperately wanting him back, and not amounting to anything, I could absolutely see him getting Jack's tattoo as a memory. And I really DO love my idea of one of the only ways you see him in the 3rd game is through the side quest where you can kill bandits attacking his grave (some sort of fucked parallel between that, and the side quest about Jack's grandma). 'Course you can destroy the grave, lose out on all rewards. Lilith congratulates you. Good job.

Tricks cuts in to very calmly, with no background static or otherwise to "Jack was right. You're all monsters. I know Lilith got her wings plucked. Watch your back, Vault Hunter."

And. It's soo...

Playing bls 3, seeing this story pan out, it's good. It's so fucking good because Tricks dies too. I always said it, that when Jack passes, part of Tricks dies too. Without Jack, he's nobody. He's dead on Elpis, gone, when that explodes. Nobody cares about him. He has nothing to give, nothing to offer. Lilith still has a shoot on sight order out on him, he's never HAD any friends. (And that double? Well, ol' guy never liked The Demon anyway. Surely he doesn't wanna see Tricks).

But, Pandora is all he knows. Helios is gone. The wreckage cleaned and picked apart. He can't go anyways. Too many emotions. Jack's office now scattered, hundreds of memories broken.

BLS 3 Tricks reminds me of these lyrics "all the people's mouths are moving / all you hear is car alarms / and you wake up, and start to cry / I will lose my shit if even one more person I know dies / so please don't die"

He's a tragedy. A victim of Jack's who doesn't get that happy ending because... well... He was compliant wasn't he? He helped Jack. Helped murder innocent people. Pushed that plan into motion. He knew exactly what he was doing. Ask anyone, Tricks should've been shot right next to Jack. It was never one sided, right? The love was always there from day one.

Who cares when a ghost cries? Pandora has so many ghosts. No one cares about Tricks. And no one ever will. No one ever has. But Jack's the last name he says before he goes to sleep, when he wakes up, when he... when he... oh. Jack. My hero. Jackrabbit, you're here? For me? I-I'm so-- Jack, baby, I'm so sorry for everything!
