I can't be the only one who remembers there being a Youtube challenge thing from maybe 7-10 years ago called "Hypernote" right? You would sing a note and hold it for as long as you could. I remember SMP Films was a part of it, possibly Cyr. Maybe Kassem G too. I tried searching for hypernote on Youtube but all I found was ads for an app I'm 100% sure it was a challenge thing!

Hyerpnotes (part of Zenkit) seems like a great way to build a story bible, outline, and script a novel. Plus, it’s cross-platform. Not sure if it has an offline mode or if I can export to local file types (.pdf, .md, .txt) ...

Update: After experiencing some issues with this app, I switched to Dynalist. It’s more functional for outlining.

One of the best tropes(or cliches or whatever you wanna call it)...

Is when the mostly stoic, will sometimes show concern for others, perhaps crack a joke or two dude giving their partner a surprise kiss of relief after something happened and it's shocking to the partner. Case and point:

Small question...what the heck is Appleseed?

it’s a manga by masamune shirow (the creator of ghost in the shell, but appleseed was first), ran from 1985 to 1989 so it’s very much not recent. it’s been collected into four volumes, plus there’re the books appleseed ID (which includes a short-ish comic that takes place after vol 4) and appleseed hypernotes (which includes what shirow got done for vol 5), so it’s not super long either.

from wikipedia, because i’m lazy:

Appleseed takes place in the 22nd century, after the non-nuclear Third World War has led to the destruction of a majority of the Earth's people. While countries like Great Britain, USA and China have difficulty maintaining order and power, international organizations like the "Sacred Republic of Munma" and "Poseidon" have been established in the aftermath.

The main characters are Deunan Knute and Briareos Hecatonchires, former SWAT members of the LAPD. They are found in the desolated city and invited to join the prestigious ESWAT (Extra Special Weapons And Tactics) organization in the utopian city of Olympus, the new world's most powerful state. Roughly one half of Olympus's population are bionically augmented.

The series follows Deunan and Briareos as they protect their new home from both foreign and domestic threats to its security.

there are also some movies made based on the manga, most notably a 3D movie released in 2004 (called just appleseed) and its sequel appleseed ex machina, which i guess are alright even though i don’t much care for them personally. there’s also some sort of a series called appleseed XIII and one more 3D movie called appleseed alpha, but i haven’t seen those. (eta: oh yeah, and there’s a 1988 anime movie based on the manga as well but i haven’t seen that either so i don’t know if it’s any good)

god self-harming can be so weird and trying not to relapse can be so weird...

i havent relapsed in a really really REALLY!!!! long time and i hate how tempted i am rn bc i like cant sleep and am going nuts abt it bc i wanna cut So Badly like i feel not even upset. like i feel emotionally fine. but just kinda nervous and extremely like. HUNGRY for it. idk a better word its very very much like im starving for hurting myself

and i feel bad because part of it is like...............ghhh i feel like an ass bc its like not other ppls FAULT at all obvs and i feel like a creepy voyear but a lot of the time when i see other people’s scars ill start yknow....it can trigger me wanting to self-harm really really badly bc i felt a lot of safety in being able to look at the injuries and touch them and stuff because its in my control and etc etc etc and since i havent in so long and when i have relapsed ive done a pretty good job of stopping myself ‘early’ and not fully getting what i want lol i like.............don’t have that part. and i miss that part so much. my scars used to heal so quickly that i barely have any anymore and i have HYPERnoticed that i seem to be scarring a lot more obviously now...........and its like............GHHHHHHHHH its so hard to reason myself out of it and its gonna be cooler tomorrow so i could wear long sleeves to workkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk and i miss it so much and i know thats a strange concept but i miss it so so so so so so so so so so much. not the punishing myself. but thats not even why i wanna do it now. it was only msot of the time why i wanted to do it back in the day yknow. yaaarrrrggh. ugh. ick. yuck. God i wish i could just go to sleep.

one of my coworkers has really obvious scars that they dont hide and more power too them!! good for them!!! not at all blaming them im like legit proud of them for it yknow? but thats like got it wormed into my head and i cant stop thinking abt it at all. and then i was watching informative mental illness videos  because i cant sleep because of like 7 different reasons and then the person tlaking also has obvious scars and its!!! AAAAHHGG
