9 days to Zukkii's birthday!!! ☎️
A gist translation (of the parts I could understand) of a D-RADIO in which Zukkii and Araki asked each other 10 questions.
There are many highlights, but the parts about Araki's homewear (or lack of it😅) and young Zukkii talking to his grandma by phone were very amusing to me! 😆
Araki's answers to 10 questions:
Birthday: June 14th, 1983
Hometown: Hyogoken. Zukkii commented that Araki doesn't really have a Kansai accent. Araki told that once a hairdresser said his accent was terrible. He tries to not let his accent show on D-stages and things like that.
His nickname in middle school: Araki-kun. Araki told the eventually got called Kinjiro, but Zukkii said that seemed like something grandfathers do and that his own grandfather called him Ichiro.
Which animal does he look like: koala. Because his Doubutsu Uranai (zoological fortune-telling) is a koala. Also, Araki said that once he took a purikura and the angle of the photo made his nose stand out and the distance between his nose and his mouth seem really small so he kind of looked like a koala.
What kind of clothes he wears to sleep: he sleeps naked. He said when he's in his room, he stays naked to not rise dust. Actually, he uses only slippers. One time, he was cooking (naked) for himself and broke one of his cooking utensils, which lead to some drops of oil hitting his skin and giving him a pricking pain. Zukkii suggested Araki should use a "naked apron" (when a person uses only an apron over his/her naked body, a popular theme in hentai mangas), but Zukkii said he didn't mean it in a perverted way. And they also said "Basaa!", which seems to be a sound effect used when something is revealed (for example, when a guy suddenly takes off his clothes).
What were his thoughts when he started his public career: work to earn an income to live.
His happiest moments in his public career: when he finishes a work and receives flowers.
A work he is proud of: Hanaoni
The part that makes him proud about that work: when he played the oni part.
What he thinks about Zukkii: he loves him. ❤️But they said it's a motherly type of love, that Araki worries about things like, if Zukkii is eating properly or if he is going to wake up in time for his appointments.
Zukkii's answers to 10 questions:
Birthday: October 3rd, 1983. Araki said all Zukkii's birthday presents would be hats, because he had been using a lot of them at that time. Zukkii said hats don't suit him well, he doesn't know exactly why, but that mufflers are good because they block the cold.
Hometown: Iwateken
His nickname in middle school: Suzuki-kun. Nobody ever called him "Zukky" before he entered D-BOYS. Wada Masato was the person who came up with that nickname and then lots of people adopted it.
The name of the girl he first fell in love with (his first love): Hatsumi-chan (First love = hatsukoi. And the girl was called "Hatsumi-chan"). She was a transfer student. One time, his clothes got dirty and she washed them, that made him impressed by her kindness.
A funny story about his grandma: Zukkii said there are many... Araki likes hearing this kind of stories, that's why he asked. Once, it was winter in Zukkii's hometown and there was a lot of snow covering the roads so it would be difficult to go home by bicycle. Zukkii called home (with the intention to ask someone to pick him up by car) and his grandma answered the phone. Their dialogue was something like this:
Zukkii: Hello, it's Hiroki.
Grandma: Yes?
Z: Hello, grandma. It's Hiroki.
G: Yes?
Z: Hello, grandma. It's Hiroki.
G: Ah, Hiroki isn't home yet. *hangs up the phone*
He ended up going home by himself and it was extremely cold.
His thoughts on his first drama as an actor: it was "Hit Parade". He was extremely nervous.
Someone he respects a lot: his parents. It seems his father doesn't talk much. Zukkii's image of him is someone who had a constant routine of getting home, drinking sake, sleeping and going to work. He worked for many years and Zukkii said he thinks his father is really kakkoi. His mother makes delicious food and used to wake him up every day. He thinks she's rippa (I'm sure he said many other wonderful things about his family but, unfortunately, I couldn't understand much... 😭)
A work he is proud of: "Stand By My"
His best work as an actor and writer: that is also "Stand By My". It's the butai he made with Kaji Masaki. Zukkii wrote the script and Kaji was responsible for the style of the play, that resembles a musical performance. It makes him a little shy but he is proud of showing something created by himself to people. Araki said he wants to audition for that play.
What he thinks about Araki: he loves him. ❤️

Rainy Day ☔️ Cherry Blossom in front of Itami City Hall 🌸 This is Kawazu Sakura 🌸🌸🌸 雨の日 ☔️ 市役所前のチェリーブロッサムだよ。
