So in the various responses to the recent fuckability poll there was a bit of a trend re: Prussia that I was sort of interested in throwing my 2 cents into for consideration and/or discussion

I'm not going to try and change anyone's mind on his fuckability because everyone is entitled to their own opinion (even if they're wrong ;) ), but instead I'm going to make the case that HWS Prussia is (probably) not a virgin, historically. Bear with me here.

(Important disclaimer: this isn't attacking or trying to invalidate anyone's headcanons or thoughts, it's purely for good fun and good faith)

The Canon

Within Hetalia canon, personal unions between nations are contextualised and explained as marriages: Most famously between Austria and Hungary (forming Austria-Hungary) and... Actually it's mostly Austria and the various Hapsburg unions formed over the years. Prussia itself engaged in this, which leads me to:

The History

To cut down a whole complicated affair, Prussia entered a personal union with the state of Brandenburg to form Prussia-Brandenburg in 1618 (by which time Prussia had been Lutheran rather than Catholic for about a century), which would last as a binding union until the establishment of the Kingdom of Prussia in 1701.

So with the context of personal unions being portrayed as marriages in Hetalia and marriages being what they are (be they romantic or political/dynastic, as is likely the case here) I tend to believe it is unlikely that Prussia remained a virgin.

Of course this is entirely my own interpretation and reading, I more than welcome other thoughts or headcanons ♥

The World Championship in Biathlon 2024 just finished up today! Congrats to France for being the best nation, Norway for getting the most medals, and Sweden for taking their first ever gold medal in a biathlon world championship 🥳✨

Hear me out: Raivis isn't exactly about to check people into walls, but here's his trick. Being more than a foot shorter than everyone has an advantage. When people check, it's usually with their shoulders and chest. Raivis, meanwhile, is below that. They'd have to try and hit his head at that height, which doesn't do much. But where's Raivis lined up? At the stomach. Head is chest height, shoulders are at stomach, making it much easier to throw people off their center of gravity. He's also FAST on the ice. He's not good in traditional "ram your way through the defense" ways, he's just so annoying to deal with and technical that he somehow zooms around, knocks people over, and scores. He makes it work despite not seeming the most typically athletic. He hikes and he hockeys. STRONG legs.]]

Just went to my first bull riding show and from now on America, Brazil, and Australia are the bull riding trio to me

#I have decided this based on going to a bull riding show #and there being riders from the USA Brazil and Australia there #and only those three countries #I mean like 40% of them were from Brazil #and 3 from Australia #I knew at least one Brazilian rider would be there because he was the champ and got mentioned in the news coverage beforehand #but I was surprised at how many Brazilian riders were there #I didn’t know it was a popular sport there #and then there was a group with the Australian flag in the crowd too #probably the families of the riders but one of them also placed like fourth in the entire night so they had an okay run #hws america #hws Australia #hws Brazil #anyway now I imagine all of them get together to watch bull riding

In my mind Phillip is a big football fan and tries as much as he can to watch most of the Premier League, the champions- and other big leagues and all of the Fullham games, as they are his team (which Hugh Grant actually supports I think), live and gets really into the world/euro cups and all. So far as to maybe sharing a little tear when they lost against Italy in the euro cup final recently. All the while Benoit just doesn't get what's so interesting about it and loves to tease Phillip about it, especially about tearing up when England loose or when Fullham went down a league or smth (never in a bad way and he always soothes Phillip by giving him a kiss afterwards) but actually really finds it endearing because he loves to see Phillip be passionate about stuff
