Albania CD Cover!

This is based from the CD Cover of Spain and Prussia. It includes a Red Poppy (the National Flower of Albania) and a Black Eagle. Though the National Bird is a Bald Eagle, I was going with a Strong Black and Red theme. Haha. The word at the Top means something Similar to Self-Reliance or Independence, things of The Sort. I’ve got another idea for a CD cover. If I have Any Motivation, I can Try and finish. I have only posted my Art on Here a Few Times, so, I hope Everyone Enjoys…

I haven’t ever Listened to Any Hetalia CDs, so, I’m Not Sure what Sorts of music can be on This CD. If someone has a Suggestion, I’d like to Hear!

(Disclaimer: Im sadly not as well read in Balkan history as I wish was so take this all with a grain of salt)

Ignoring the fact that Illyria was made up of multiple tribes, what we know as Illyria encompassed a large swathe of territory so a variety of Balkan nations could probably lay claim to being a descendant of her!

Albania for sure claims to Illyria's descendant (tho prbly isnt the only one), as the Albanian language is considered an isolate compared to its neighbors and has been theorized to have evolved from one of the Proto-Balkan languages, with Illyrian as the most likely candidate. Though this doesn't exactly go uncontested by the other nations....

I’ve got a couple Ideas of What she’s Looking Like, but I haven’t Fully decided on Anything :,) I have plenty of old and Very Ugly drawings (which, I don’t Think you guys Care to See)… But, This Ask inspired me to Attempt her Design again :D I was just Doodling, really, so it’s Very Messy. I hope you Guys don’t Mind.

Okay, onto the Headcannons for Her Personality and Such (which, I apologize for Any incorrect Information. It’s Hard to do these Sorts of Things with Ancients since there’s Not Much to Base them From. Also, I don’t know Much about Illyria as a Kingdom, haha…):

Sort of like how Italy and Romano say “Grandpa Rome”, I like to Imagine that. Albania calls her “Mother Illyria”. In some of my Older stuff with her I used to Say “Mother Illyria the Great”, but I think that Title is Too Long to Say All the Time

Also like how Grandpa Rome will Visit Italy and Romano at times, I’m sure Illyria does it too. Other than Albania and Kosovo, though, they don’t Seem to Care as much. (Maybe Croatia, too)

Really Fierce. She often got in Fights and Caused Trouble. Can also be defined as Reckless, but, it’s the Same Thing basically

She Despised Rome (and Italy + Greece, but Mainly Rome). In Relation, Rome was Very Hostile to her. She did eventually Apologize for her Earlier Lifestyle under King Agrons rule, but Didn’t feel Too Bad about what she had done Afterwards.

I’m not Very Sure how ancients/kingdoms work in Hetalia, but I always Imagined it as the Ancient being A Ruler more-so than a Parent. So, no, I don’t title Illyria as Albania’s (or Anyone’s) actual Mom, but Albania definitely Calls her it because of how Similar they are lol

She got into Plenty of Fights with Little Macedonia :,3 I think Macedon is Technically Northern Greece more than it is Macedonia, but I’ll have to Look into it More.

She was Mainly focused on Gaining Land in the Beginning (Under rule of King Agron), but, she Soon decided that Regional Trade was good too (Under rule of Queen Teuta)

If I settled on her Being Male, I think he’d Still be Wearing the Dress. I have an Idea that Albania probably got Mistaken for a Girl when he was Little (Like Italy or Hungary) because his Traditional Clothing has Dresses. So, the Same Thing would Happen to Illyria lel

Though, her being A Woman sort of Makes More Sense to me. Queen Teuta faced Misogyny as a Queen, so imagining that Other Kingdoms thoughts of her Were Similar to the ones Applied to Queen Teuta is Understandable to me

THIS IS THE ASK EVER THANK U ok!!! uh my version of yugotalia isn't like?? the established yugotalia TM? it's inspired by it !! i read yugotalia fanfics as a young teen, but that's as involved as i was with it :O so some of my versions of the characters are inspired by the popular yugotalia versions, and some are a lot different!

if it wasn't obvious from how much i freak out whenever i see fanart of him, my favourite is serbia!!! :,) ISNT IT INSANE BTW how hws serbia and yugotalia serbia are literally the same guy with a different haircut. anyway i LOVE him i love unlikable greasy men ❤️ i like shipping him with bulgaria because i think their combined swagless energy is so powerful fr

i also ship him with slovenia!! or i think they're fuckbuddies BUT slovenia is my favourite oc :) he's also 100% made up by me, because i didn't remember yugotalia slovenia when i came up with my version! i drew fanart of him once it's under #mine if u wanna see that

in my head he's a sociable guy, but he often comes off as prissy or judgemental (and often refuses to acknowledge he's balkan, what an L) and he idolizes austria quite a bit while also kind of disliking him (weirdo) and he's closest to croatia! and i.. had to integrate the stupid internet memes about slovenians being femboys so..... let's say he likes dressing frilly in bed :) oh oh and he's a nature lover (sidenote, i have a serbia/slovenia smutfic i wrote that i was never gonna post or show other people but since we're talking about it lmk if you want that)

i also like montenegro a lot :D i hc her as serbia's younger sister & they're each other's closest relationship! (although they bicker more often in modern day) off-topic but i use a design for her that i've seen other people use. and she looks almost identical to me it's a little jumpscare-y HAH

i think of her as laid-back & a nature lover too, but less in a "buy expensive equipment and do fancy mountain climbing" slovenia way, and more... she's a chill gal who likes a good nap on a hammock by the sea or on a mountain u know! that said, she has a roguish side!

i don't have as many thoughts on the others (yet!! still developing my hcs on them!) but i have a set design for albania (not yugoslav so i guess not yugotalia but come omnnn he counts) & some hcs for his personality (cheerful prideful guy, sometimes a lil naive!!) and i think he'd be very good friends with greece
