The Junior-Amateur riders highlighted hunter competition Sunday to wrap up the first week of Kentucky Summer with the USHJA National Hunter Derby! Mackenzie Carreras and Cornet’s Diamond topped the leaderboard in the very talented class.

Mikey and I in the champagne derby, rocking the shad. The point of this class was to get around without spilling the contents of the champagne flute. The jumps were low, but the course was legit with rollback turns, a halt, and a sit trot out the ring!!! Mikey & I placed third this year.

Also I am. Constantly forgetting how fucking funny Hunter is. We never give him enough credit for how funny he is because his life is so fucked up but I swear 90% of his lines are just bit after bit after bit. He's not even trying either. Anytime he actively tries to make a joke it falls flat but if you just put him in a Scenario he'll find a way to be so over invested and yet out of touch/at odds with whatever's going on. He's so autistic

personally i like to think he started to learn how to carve palismen as del's mentee/apprentice a few months into his hexside education, but didn't feel ready to carve a new palisman for himself until like... 1-2 years later. so he carved out waffles before he finished hexside but not very long before he graduated.
