2. What part of the franchise is your favorite and why?

Is that a trick question where I say everything but the third movie? I might have to go with Race to the Edge though, given how much fic I write for it. Clearly something about RTTE is really great to me. I'll say Race to the Edge. Why? I think it fleshes out characters super well and I really love the different character arcs that happen within it, including with the antagonists. It's just a whole lot of fun.

17. Do you read or write HTTYD fanfic? If so, give some recommendations!

I'm always ready to recommend anything by @howtowhumpyourhiccup/@howtodrawyourdragon. @violet-moonstone writes some incredible stuff and rare pairs! If you're looking for polyamory, @ashleybenlove is the way to go! @lilliths-httyd-blog is your one-stop Viggo shop. And then I still need to catch up on Killer's Apprentice but it is an incredible fic. Oh! Can't forget the summer snotlout jorgenson got laid by @spacenintendogs!

Who is your favourite antagonist and why?

Mmm...I'd say Viggo Grimborn. Despite the amount of credit given to the movie villains, I think Viggo really was the most competent and threatening. His charisma and cunning are so entertaining to watch.

I haven't read the comics in quite some time, but I remember Calder being particularly interesting too. If I recall correctly, he had this obsession with becoming a dragon and thought that if he wore enough dragon skins/corpses, he could become one.

Spoilers for The Serpent's Heir below...

There's also this panel of him poisoning the (young) ruler of his kingdom/tribe, that I find truly horrifying

it's giving sleep paralysis demon

and of all the httyd villains, his is particularly grisly - Hiccup sets him on fire before sending him tumbling off a cliff

pretty dark stuff

I've said this before, but I think The Serpent's Heir is the best of all the HTTYD comics

I'll probably reread them when I'm finished rewatching RTTE

3. Did you play School of Dragon? If so, what dragon(s) did you have?

Oh hell yeah, I played SoD!!! I loved it so much. My list of dragons probably hit 50 because I got the Screaming Death and got first place in nearly every battle, so I just won dragon egg after dragon egg. And oh my gosh, dragon racing was so fun, especially with my Sand Wraith.

That was a good game, and I really miss it. I put so many hours into it. It helped me through a particularly hard endo flare up. I remember playing an entire expansion in one night when I was sick from that.

Ah, good times. Good times.

I played the mobile version too, actually. I found that flying was easier on mobile than it was on the computer.
