Hotaru Tomoe Headcanon:

So we already know that in the 90s anime, when Hotaru is reborn again and goes off to live with the outer senshi, they dress her in bright colors like this:

But, as Hotaru gets older, she reverts back to her casual goth fashion (according to my headcanon). It’s just what she prefers to wear. They don’t make much black clothing for small children, anyway.

She just looks so much better this way, imo. Plus, let’s finally do away with the stereotype that wearing all black or dark colors means you’re the villain. 🖤

I saw this photo of Saturn and thought it’d be cute to draw Hotaru in pastel goth clothes but I'm not very familiar with the fashion. I tried.png 

I did use slime themes, it was the most fun part from the references I found imo. I probably should have used more occult/ghost themed clothing but it was slime time for me lol. I did throw in a ghost bow (and a eye bow). The plaid was the only part I really wanted to included and then I realized it’d be a fun reason to have a crop top sweater and it all developed from there.
