Horse figure ask game: 2, 6, 22
Thank you!
2. Do I have a favorite figure?
I'm pretty fond of this one (I call him Apollo)
6. Do you name your figures?
Yes, which is obvious from the first question lol. Though lately I pretty much only name my traditional scale models instead of the smaller ones.
22. Show off your collection! :D
Ok ok I took some pictures lol (I tried to fit most of them into frame..)
Top: Stablemates
Middle: Traditionals
Bottom: Classics and other brands of model horses. (Some Schleich and other ones)

Snootles Moment
So today I've been working on getting my room organized since my older sister's stuff is finally out of here, and this included putting all of my animal figurines, primarily horses, on display on an old bookshelf.
*for reference, for each breed seen there's on average 3 to a group (stallion, mare, foal) but some don't have a foal, some are just a mare or stallion, or just the pair, or even mare and foal. Thus making the process a bit more complicated when I don't remember what breed a horse is or if it has a mate/foal*
Here are some quotes that I said to myself while finally putting the horses on display:
Where is your wife?
Do you even have a child??
Where are your parents????
WHO ARE YOU???
I swear, I'm running a damn orphanage over here
There, that should do it! *turns around* oh god there's more
This shelf is gonna be for hot single moms in your area *giggles to myself*
And then we have the one single guy surrounded by single ladies
The goose goes front and center because he's important
My favorite is the "WHO ARE YOU?" because there was one horse in particular that, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out who he belonged with and I knew there was an odd ratio of mares to stallions and foals, so I knew he belonged somewhere

This is definitely one of my best Grand Champions finds yet!
2003 wash stall with working hose and Lipizzan stallion in it's original box. The box is pretty beat up but I won it on ebay for only £7.50 so can't complain!

Hi Roman! 3 and 6 for the horse collection ask game please! Also those custom figures you showed off are super cute and cool, I loved seeing them!
I completely forgot to answer this! I am so sorry! I'm also glad you liked the customs, too.
3. Do you have any rules about buying new figures?
For this part I'm going to interpret New as in New to me and my collection.
"I don't need it! I don't need to start another collection of horse toys form *insert brand here* " is what I usually tell myself. When it comes to non-Breyers I refrain from buying them online. What I find in the wild is what I find. Nearly all my Grand Champions/Empire horses were thrift-type finds. Nowadays I try not to buy doubles of things like MLPs and Barbie horses if I find 'em secondhand. I also stop myself from buying fakies unless they're something really odd. Breyers are a different story they are usually a 100% bought if they're thrift finds whether or not I have the model already. CUSTOM FODDER! One of these days I will make one.
If we're talking brand new horse toys, I try to buy Breyers when there are some sorts of sale/savings on 'em if it's a regular release.
6. Do you name your figures?
I usually just use their given names if they have one because I am lame and I have like way too many horse figures to give them all new names. I don't remember some of the official names to begin with. XD But sometimes I'll give them funny titles. For Example I like to call my Equidae Breyer my "Gay Pride Draft Horse"

These started out as MLP versions of the dog lads but quickly got away from me and became just their own thing. Machete is a medieval unicorn and Vasco was inspired by Renaissance tack and carousel horses.
