day 17, today one of the more fitting characters for spooky month:

times tboom10 got lazy with backgrounds counter: ∞

the spirit that gives of the light looks kinda weird. so does the essence. and i tried to make it look like no eyes here summoned the spirit thing, but now her hand just looks kinda weird in a way i cant explain. but the vibes do fit no eyes. like a lot. spoopy. and the lighting an shading on no eyes looks pretty alright in my opinion. not one that'll win like any throphies, likely wont even make the final poll, but thats alright. its fine. not the greatest, not the worst.

this asshole has lost me a few runs in p5 tho-

wait do ghosts have shadows and lighting? well no matter the answer now they do. at least in my art. because its pretty fun to do and i feel like even though i still dont consider myself great at it, it does make it look better.

also 1 more thing: i might have to put this series on hiatus again in th future. i've already made everything till day 25, but school is still destroying me. i'll try to keep up with the series, but when getting to day 25 i might have to stop the series for a bit again. sorry for that.

Au where Hollow and Ghost survive and then SILKSONG happens but- hear me out, hear me out-

Hornet was so, so young when the infection destroyed Hallownest. All her abilities in silk are derived from violence and hunting— unlike her weaver brethren, she never delved deep into the arts or healing beyond the basics to survive the destroyed husk of the kingdom.

This has direct consequences when Hollow survives in HK. Despite Hornet’s best attempts, Hollow’s wounds don’t heal quite right.

Hornet can’t forgive herself, never mind the insane reality she managed to save a voided godling from the brink.

(When Pharloom steals her, when she realizes there’s a history of thread, where she can learn how to spin silk maybe to heal-

-at the terrible cost of herself to save people she loves?

Hornet’s never been great about self preservation. All her life, she’s watched other people throw themselves into the abyss.

Now it’s her turn.)

Alas. Her siblings do not agree with that mindset. And they’re going to get their sister back, hell or high water.
