Reminder, this was present-day.

80-90 years prior was just about 1941!

The Polaroid didn't make it back to hell, but the rumors did. Hell has thought Crowley pulled an Angel since 1941. That photo only showed them holding the rifle together, nothing that would indicate them being "an item". Something happened we haven't seen yet. Part 3 is going to discorporate us all!
