so when i was making thelxie i planned to shove them at afhiri AND gale for a weird situationship but with how thelxie has naturally evolved i feel like thelxie and gale would clash really badly but afhiri doesn't clash with anyone she's kinda immune to that. u can have beef with hiri but hiri got no beef with u . !!!!!!!!!!!!

i have inserted thelxie into canon being a pre-orin boss fight boss fight of sorts thats avoidable, and if u avoid it thelxie will ambush ur camp later and try to get revenge on orin. im thinking of having it be a mega fucking skill check to convince thelxie to not do this suicide mission and get recruited but im not sure yet..... but also ive been toying with but having soldified a canon where orin survives and if orin survives thelxie will survive.. so........

there's plenty of opportunity FOR thelxie and hiri to interact. i just don't know yet. how they do . i've been absolutely balls deep in a thelxie x orin fic for the last few days so this concept hasn't had as many brain cells as i'd like ......

thelxie is very mature and polite and tries to be kind and nice but it comes off wrong for people who are quite intuitive .. like u can tell the tone of voice of put on, you notice her eyes are dead, the smile is trained ... i think afhiri might pick up on it but would misunderstand it. maybe afhiri just isn't being funny enough!! theyre faking finding afhiri entertaining to be nice!!! fuck !!! AFHIRI FAIL ????? instead of just thelxie is actually very unhinged and unwell and tries to hide that at all times its nothing to do with afhiri dfgdfgzdfg

so the story is set in a universe that's kinda like ours?? except there's been a lot more things going horribly wrong for a good amount of decades (government collapses. economical crises. diseases. global warming. etc and so on) to the point humanity kinda had no other option than to actually get their shit together and work together to make life more bearable and more livable for everyone. and they finally started achieving that and then there was a zombie virus outbreak. oops :(

the story itself is set in the future (i think it's around 2050 ish. if i remember my own notes correctly) which is a few decades after the apocalypse and the situation has sort of stabilized a bit. not really improved since there's still so many ghouls (they have many names in the universe but i call them ghouls because the main characters do) and there's many MANY areas that are uninhabited / uninhabitable in general

people have grouped together in massive safe zones which differ in size all over the world. the story itself is set in the united states so i'll focus on that, there's basically important cities which have a lot of defenses set up which serve as the main safe zones of the country. the cities are connected by an intricate network of tunnels through which travel is possible but still not all that recommended

the main characters are from los angeles and they travel to opportunity, which is a huge megalopolis on the east coast that stretches from around the atlanta area to nearly the coastline and it's still actively growing in size. their job is to make a documentary about the place since there's some anniversaries and with that a bunch of festivities coming up :] but then of course while they're inside there's a breach and the place gets overrun and then they have to somehow find their way back home to los angeles since opportunity ends up left in almost complete ruins

SO YEAH that's basically the setup of the universe and the story!! i loooove zombies so fucking much i can't explain this to you but the whole dark and gritty feel around it is a bit overdone imo so i wanted to like. put it in a more colorful jacket by giving it the vibes of the playlist basically :] it's gonna be a written story because well i can't really turn it into a tv show but it would work soooo well as a tv show. trust me

here's what my very special boy looks like, he loves his green hair

Ok so. Some of his story is still filtering in, but I gotta stipulate this with Vik's not a great guy but he's not like. I mean look, it doesn't take much to be a decent person in Halcyon.

So. Vik had been born in Québec, Canada,* in 2238. Though thye started life in the countryside, allowing Vik a robust knowledge of guns and weapons, as well as general care of the land, promotions demanded taht Vik's family move closer into the city. Though none were too happy about the smaller house and the lack of privacy, they made due. His parents' middle management positions allowed for a cushy job if he or his brother, or his 2 sisters so wanted. Most of his siblings turned to Manuel labor instead, and Vik was able to get a decent job as a typist, where he was very happy. Unfortunately, this did lead to some mild arthritis in his fingers, though he does not mention that pain. Vik was well in his 50s by the time that the Groundbreaker and the Hope were about to take off. However, his knowledge from childhood was still marked as a skill if UDL ever wanted to poach him for guard or security details.

Now, still on earth, this is when Vik messed up. Propaganda always gets people. When he started hearing some of the conversations his family and friends were having, he got scared of what could happen, and reported them to the correct officials. Their fines were so high to some of the corporations, that most ended up agreeing to indentured instead of forfeiting their lives. Quickly, he changed from typing at a keyboard to holding a gun and reacquainting himself with looking down the sites on his guns. He fell back in practice quickly, proving himself a valuable asset for the frontier of this celestial system. After all, having the scientists on the Hope die immediately from the flora and fauna wouldn't be that smart.

Most of the people he knew ended up on the Groundbreaker and helped build Terra 2. Quite a few died from raptadons, though some managed to make it through the Fall of Cascadia. Others were kept on the Groundbreaker, but as Vik was the reason that most of his loved ones were even there, he was never mentioned, Ergo, Those that he ends up meeting on the Groundbreaker and Terra 2 have no idea the connection they share (Braxton Hecht was the son of one of his friends). Essentially, in trying to repair the damage he did to everyone he cared about, Vik lost everyone. He hoped that someone on the Hope would be a familiar face, though he functionally knew that he was finally, truly alone in the universe.

Half of his attempt of saving Halcyon, Viktor is mute, and only feels comfort tlaking when his crew is with him in some form. Each of his relationship is flavored slightly differently; with Felix and Parvarti, Vik is at ease and goofy, constantly telling dad jokes and rarely bringing up sad topics. He's always there to remind them they're valuable to him and the rest of the crew. Nyoka and Vik have spent a few too many nights at the table, and if anyone finds them passed out on the table in the morning, it's not mentioned. Ellie tried to keep Vik at arms length, and he respected it, but will still make an effort to remind her that she's still part of the crew.

Now, Vik realized he was gay when he was young, but never found a person who complimented his energy just right. He'd all but given up on finding a long term partner, happy as he was being a paternal figure to some people, and screwing around as he did when he needed someone in bed with him. Then, he met Max and immediately was taken with the anger that the Vicar had. The pure determination took Vik, and he decided within twenty minuets of getting the task to get that journal, that Vik would pull apart that Vicar and build him back up. In no small part, Max was what pushed Vik to actually save the colony, even if he never approached max about it. Vik had already decided this would be his last attempt at love, and if it didn't work, he'd be fine.

Only to end up saving Halcyon with the aide of a mad scientist.

*as a note, Vik is entirely able to speak french. He does not translate the journal Because "it's not french. It's Québécois". It is entirely french. Max walks in on Vik one night reading the journal and it spirals into a fight. They get over it rather quickly by. No. I shant say.

GOOD QUESTION i feel like he would travel around a lot. i'm going with fallout 4 here because that's the game i've played the most so he would spend a lot of time just moving around the commonwealth and helping people where possible, mostly sticking to himself because he wouldn't trust people easily. people would know Of him especially in like. goodneighbor and diamond city and whatnot but they wouldn't Know him. he's just some mysterious mercenary

and he would definitely fight a deathclaw yeah. with his bare hands probably. and then he almost dies because he's stupid

his mbti is infp (which fits him sm bc of how like. caring. and idealistic he can be) and his enneagram is 6w5 (the guardian) which, again, SO fitting for a man like him. so loyal but also very pensive kinda guy. analytical one might say.

i never really thought abt it before but. god he DOES have a green thumb actually!! his apartment is full of plants because he still feels weird being in night city and wants to remember being outside (even tho "outside" is a desert). i think he also grows plants to manifest the future he wants, aka being at peace in a place that's connected to nature and had NOTHING to do with night city. he also gardens i've decided just now bc he can't stand all the factory foods (which is gonna be a useful skill when he DOES get his little haven away from everything!!)

– finley is trans!! it's a ripperdoc in the bakkers that did his top surgery a few years ago and there were some complications (normal thing to happen in the badlands methink) so his scars are now a little jagged and strange, but he loves them nonetheless – was taken by raffen shivs as a kid to be sold or eviscerated. he ended up killing and maiming his way out of the camp with a scalpel and running away before being found by some bakkers scouts. – sometimes, when he can't sleep in his apartment, he goes down to the garage and sleeps in his car. it's something that's more familiar to him and it soothes him despite the grief that comes with it.

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends?

he definitely prefers a few close friends. doing what he does—infiltrating the project at eden's gate years ago and now juggling his allegiances as best as he can—, it's much safer to only rely on a few friends he can really depend on rather than risk being ratted out by hanging out with too many people. he's also very slow to trust, so he's never even had a wide circle of friends, even as a child.

🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?

– maxwell is an excellent hunter. he learned as a child with his uncle and his big brother achilles. he never liked it. – tends to be quieter in most situations, only there as support for whoever he's with (be it jacob or eli). he doesn't take sides during fights, which is why he's so conflicted about the reaping and its factions. – doesn't listen to much music. idk if this counts as a trait but there it is!! my poor underdeveloped boy

🍝 SPAGHETTI — what is/are your oc's favorite food(s)?

he likes homemade foods, no matter what that food might be, but the food that brings him the most comfort is saltines and peanut butter. it's just a little snack he used to get as a kid when they were a little tight on money and it brings back a lot of memories, good and bad.

💚 GREEN HEART — does your oc prefer being inside or outside?

outside!! carter grew up on a spaceship, so being outside on earth is one of his favourite thing. i mean, there are trees, flowers, rivers, lakes, animals, bugs!! so many things to see, so many beautiful colours, so many different smells!!

🍦 SOFT ICE CREAM — what is/are your oc's favorite ice cream flavor(s)?

strawberry,,,, he's a very strawberry and banana kinda little guy and strawberry ice cream is just so sweet AND pretty. all pink. important also to note he hates pistachio ice cream (projecting that on him rn)

carter listens to all kinds of music!! growing up with peter quill as a father, he ofc listened to a lot of music from the 70's and 80's and they're what he listens to the most nowadays, but he also enjoys pop music a lot and the shrek 2 soundtrack!! he's also a BIG fan of dolly parton

what i like: they look good together in the gifs and stuff i have seeeeen.... i really like gale so any gale ship gets immediate bonus points because he's there....... i think gale works very well for the princely old-fashioned romance that wyll offers and i think wyll would respond very well to gale's grand gestures and intense romance that he offers..... idk i think they'd be very wholesome and cute together!!!!

what doesn't work for me: maybe i'm toxic but its too sweet... too wholesome. i dont think gale would be toxic with wyll i think wyll would fix him. which is grand for gale. that hubris has been romanced away by acorn boy. and gale and wyll could honestly be a massive powerhouse in the duke ending because of gale's connections and wealth. but like. it's not spicy enough. i need someone to be not a great person in some way for me to really like it. but these two together are just. too nice. too good. it works TOO WELL!

gale and the emperor

what i like: ok see now we're toxic. now i'm interest! we have so many dynamics here first of all i'm going to point out in the ending gale is the only person to actually said he will miss the emperor, which is sick. we also know from tavflayer romance that gale is not only sexually attracted to illithids but immensely fascinated by them, every part of them, wants to study them, learn their biology, get a lil mad scientist freaky about it. that's hot. emperor is ambitious and loves power, is power hungry, and will be very into you if you encourage it to seek more power, and gale's entire thing is power, getting more power being more powerful, hubris etc, and gale's domain as a god is the god of ambition. like. while gale is not stupid enough to fall for the emperors tricks, i think they could bounce off each other very well because gale does not back down from people who are more powerful than he is. as shown by his general disrespect toward raphael, an archdevil!

what doesn't work for me: no ones giffed empys sex scene with origin gale yet and i think the entire fandom should be ashamed of itself for this. including myself. nothing doesn't work it's fucking fantastic NEXT
