#okay so meta talk outside of this account i actually tend to do a lot of life drawings / realism #so this has been a place for me to experiment with very stylised art and try to draw without worrying about anatomy and references too hard #however i’ve found that i haven’t really been developing my art here and i’ve just been copying the style of my first art post #and i’ve been finding it hard to draw the past week because i find it a chore to copy the style due to perfectionism #SO i am switching up to a sketchier brush with more line variation and am drawing much less neat #this is much easier for me. stops me from being a perfectionist. and means i can make more art at a faster rate #my designs are largely staying the same except i made xb a bit rounder and cuter. i may redesign bdubs and etho from that one #post but i was planning on doing that anyway #hypxb #hhf #my art #hermit rarepair event #hermitblr #hermitcraft #hermitshipping #hermitshipblr #hypnotizd #xbcrafted

Hermit Rarepair Event Trial Week Starts Tomorrow!

It's an event to promote obscure ships involving the hermits :) no themes, you don't have to make something every day, inspo posts will be made/ rbed and tagged with #inspo :))

My original post of this (here) laid out my initial ideas and ground rules, and for this trial week and its late entries we will be sticking to them, however for the full month i may change some things around (if you work hard enough, you can get your otp banned ! /hj)

The event's tag is #hermit rarepair event, but id also prefer if you tag the blog in your posts. There also will be an ao3 collection linked here when it is made

Full event will happen for the whole month of june, and i will be rbing late entries

I don't know if you take asks you're free to delete this but I just read Maybe Someday and other An stuff and... Thoughts.

We know An doesn't like secrets. We know An doesn't like lies. We know An might struggle with forgiveness. So.

Mizuki. Mizuki the liar ever. Mizuki the secret keeper, the hermit, the fake smile. Mizuki, the person that An accepted just as many others even though all the poison and blight the school tells about them.

I don't think An will be Mad Mad but... This could definitely lead to interesting places.

Mizuan dynamic is very interesting! I feel like they have both a good potential for a very harmonic relationship (platonic or otherwise) and a very good premise for drama.

Aside from secretiveness, An is known to be very pushy and clingy towards people she likes (e.g: Kohane, her being a little too overwhelming to Ena in hermit side story, and being a little overexcited to be classmates with Nene to the point of Touya suggesting she scared her away), and like you said, Mizuki is friendly on the surface but is actually pretty... Keen on keeping to themselves.

I feel like Mizuki can get overwhelmed by An's insistence on being friends and her care, much like with Ena in the Hermit event, to a part. Especially considering all the guilt added to that mix.

As for An, I don't think she would mind someone keeping a secret from her pre-LUtF, no matter the magnitude, especially considering her own avoidant/secretive tendencies. After that, thought... I feel like her attitude can definitely change.

I think it's either canon or directly implied that An is one of the few people that are in on Mizuki's secret (I'm actually not sure, I haven't touched on Mizuki's lore since the Ribbon event, so my information might be a bit off), so that dynamic wouldn't quite work with that, but the general chemistry between the "secret keeper" vs "can't stand being lied to"? Impeccable. The fact that Mizuan, no matter if platonic or romantic, can be considered a rarepair is criminal.

This looks so fun! What gave yall the idea, and how were the ships chosen?

The idea came from our wanting to participate in a ship week event, but our favourite ships being mainly less popular ones that we doubted people would be interested in a full week for, such as Scardoc.

The ships were chosen by us and a group of friends from the Hermbi Discord server—we compiled a list of every smaller-to-rare ship we could think of, then attempted to make a good mix of them for the week. We wanted to try to include most of the Hermits, as well as organize it so that if somebody wanted to participate but not write about a specific Hermit or Hermits, the same Hermit wouldn’t appear too many times.

We still have a lot left over, and even though this is called a “rarepair” week, we tried to have a nice mix of simply underrated ships to true rarepairs. Certainly enough to run another week with different ships, and if that time comes, we will also accept submissions for people’s favourite rarepairs!

✧ Day 1 (Oct. 28th) - The Lovers

I’m planning on finishing the Cross x Miranda x Tyki Bridal Shop AU I started last year for this prompt! (Rating M, likely)

✧ Day 2 (Oct. 29th) - The Fool

I’m tossing around the idea of some Lucky Poker for this prompt, probably in a Modern AU. (Rating E, likely)

✧ Day 3 (Oct. 30th) - The Hanged Man

Actually, a canon-verse Lavi x Link fic! (Rating M, likely)

✧ Day 4 (Oct. 31st)- The Magician

Aha… Well, I’m planning some Tyki x Cross for this one. Pure smut. XD (Rating E, definitely)

✧ Day 5 (Nov. 1) - The Hermit

I’ll be writing a Modern AU Tyki x Link fic. I’ve actually started work on this one. I got distracted from it while working on commissions. (Rated E, likely)

✿ There is a Valentines Laven Event that I’ve already written a fic for! I’ll be posting that on February 13th! The prompt I chose was Love Letters and Secret Admirer! (Rated G, pure fluff)

✿ Delinquent AU✿ 

This will be my Next Big Thing. I’ve got 5 chapters (about 30K) written right now. I worked on it during NaNoWriMo this past November and will be continuing writing this year.

This is a Modern AU/High School AU. Lucky Poker is the main ship, however Yulma is heavily present as well. (Rating E, definitely)

The story focuses on Lavi’s POV and will span a year’s worth of time. (This story will be VERY LONG. Please bear with me. I’m trying to write as much ahead of time so that I can post regularly.)

The premise involves Lavi spending his senior year of HS with his grandfather after spending half his life traveling with his mother abroad and doing his studies online. At his new school, he meets Allen–who is a bit of a troublemaker and a rather mysterious figure.

The fic revolves around themes such as coming of age, polyamorous relationships and dealing with personal boundaries, homophobia, bullying, love and romance, family secrets and dysfunction, chronic illness and disease, and just a ton of other things. I’m so excited to share this all with you!!!

✿ Lucky Omegaverse AU ✿

This AU will be a continuation of Fucked, the lucky omegaverse fic I wrote a few months ago. I have the entire thing plotted out, but I haven’t had a chance to start writing. I got very distracted with Delinquent AU, commissions, and shipweek stuff. I WILL write it, though. This fic will be too fun to let disappear. (Rating E, DEFINITELY)

And as for WIP sharing, I’ll totally do that tonight! I’ve been meaning to share more as it is. (AKA, please give me attention XD)
