Loftr Laufeysdottir/son

My Loki AU where he gets to be more free with self expression!! More lore details under the cut ;p

This version of Loki goes my the name Loftr (pronounced Lofter) Laufeysdottir (or Laufeyson, depending on the day). Loftr is the name given to him by Laufey when he was born.

In this universe, Laufey was actually a good dad! He didn’t abandon Loftr as a baby, he left him in the temple to be protected. Odin found him and took him in, assuming he was abandoned. When Laufey finds out Loki is his long lost child Loftr, he tries to reach out and connect with him.

Loftr is much more chill with his Jötunn heratige than canon Loki, because he learns through Laufey that Frost Giants aren’t all that bad, actually. He is genderfluid (like comics Loki) and uses his shapeshifting powers to present as both masculine and feminine, or ambiguously. He mostly goes by he/him pronouns, but switches it up when he feels like it.

I drew this art years ago but just recently came across it again and realised I never posted it anywhere! So here it is, finally :)

P.S. Please ignore the multiple different spelling of Jötunn!! I don’t know which one is correct, there are many different sources with all the different spellings lol. Sorry about that!

Both! But I’ll talk about some headcanons I definitely got right now-

Prune juice- he has a sister! Chai Tea cookie, talking just the kingdom timeline she’s likely also a wizard, or at least tried to but dropped out after she didn’t have any magic potential. She’s definitely a researcher though! Maybe she just studies magic in a book sense? Idk yet. Though currently the two haven’t spoken in a while, they kinda think the path the other took wasn’t the best choice/don’t believe the other would support him so they both jusg kinda fell out of contact.

Tbd agent chai tea accidently helps that relationship get better by reconnecting with the kingdom prune juice.

Is this confusing? It makes sense in my head.

Capsaicin cookie- I have a whole elaborate thing for his lore okay okay.

So this guy is a baby elemental, a cookie with the potential to become an elemental legendary like fire spirit. However due to how he was raised nobody knew this. Which didn’t help when his powers started growing beyond his control. It also does not help that he’s got some dragon heratige too, which just makes his power even stronger.

No wonder he felt the need to isolate himself right? Though in recent years he’s actually starting to get some answers, thanks to prune juice being well read and kouign amann being determined to hunt down leads, they’ll get some answers for him together!

Kouign amann- okay imma be real I’m still figuring out her vibes and I haven’t finished the story yet so the little I got may change. She definitely has issues with her image, she suffered a failure so humiliating she just took the paladin code to never give up to heart and will now injure herself to succeed. Or she feels immense guilt or regret because she ran away during an important moment and it had negative consequence and she swore to never run away again, again to her detriment. Idk I just think that confident persona she’s got on isn’t nearly as solid as she wants you to think. Girl has issues but she girlbosses so hard she tries to ignore them.

When the cataclysem started khaenri'ah was affected the most and tryed to control it thay had no choise as to rely on abyss energy in order to survive and flee over the abyss

(thay became abyss mages later cuz curse)

when the archon arved kaeya was told to evacuate with the others

Kaeya stayed to his fathers side how can he leas life like thous who blazz with fiar if he runs like a cowered

Put some sadnis kaeya had 2 best friends

The name is otto he went with him to be evacuated but thay run out of food so thay had to eat the flash of the others and than of eachother as thay waited for kaeyas father otto didn't make it

otto von bismut .II from a reather famus famaly who had great influence on khaenri'ahs outer politic and a clan trusted by irmin otto likes bottanig and one day wants to stundy plants in sumeru snd promised kaeya to bring kim a kaeya flower if it isn't extingt (witch it is and it was kaeyas moms favorite flower in sumeru)

kaeyas dad fund him in time and cuz pierro wants to avoide the abyss for kaeya thay travel a diffret rout than the others atlest kaeya dose

(And realy smart guy from mondstadt named Elbert Ainstone made a theory about time and relativaty sumeru scalers called him mad so rukkatavata sugsest he go and study in khaenri'ah)

Pierro first wanted to keep him save in shneznya,but kaeya hates the cold .Pierro realizes he can no longer give kaeya what he needs ,a loving famaly and a happy life( kaeyas mom insisted that kaeya has to be happy at all costs)

So pierro lies the shit out of himself to kaeya

So thay arvive in mondstadt why ?

Kaeyas relatives in natlan are alrady dead and sumeru is a no go cuz 1 freaking sages 2 he dosen't know what thay will do if thay find out kaeya is the last dhari

Mondstadt has an absent archon so it's almost like home

Maby kaeyas dad left him in the rain so he won't have to see pierro cry

And somthing that buged me dain says the only idantaty that metters was being from khaenri'ah

gwyn is a nymph. what do you think your nymph side would be like? Could she have fairy wings (I'd kneel down, really) or maybe she's a water nymph (yes, I'm starting to think about gwyn and tarquin, thanks anon). she would get along well on Adriana if she were a water nymph.

One more question, Amren is from another world, but she is in a faerie body, do you think she could have a mate? (I do not think so). What about her and Varian? They are cute together. he's the only one who isn't scared of who she is. would love to be more about them and mostly a pov about Amren's feelings (does she have 🧐).

hmm i think Gwyn is half nymph, what type? we don’t know yet. however, Gwyn did describe her twin sister, Catrin, to have black hair, pale skin and webbed hands/fingers. it reminds me a lot of a Siren tbh. so i believe that Gwyn is a water nymph of some sort. river, ocean, lake nymph, who knows yet. due to her mother’s heratige, and with Gwyn already having long legs, i can see her being a really good swimmer. maybe she can shift into a mermaids tail but we don’t know her gifts yet?

as for Amren, i don’t believe that she has a mate. i think it’s ridiculous that her and Verian together, it just makes no sense. Amren isn’t one to be in a relationship, but i think SJM needs all of her characters to be in one so they can be happy. i did make a post already about how i think Amren should be nonbinary and aesexual.
