New ep of Helluva Boss just came out and i actually want to talk about that one. I didnt even bother with the third one cause somehow I didnt have any strong feelings about it. Anyway, lets start.
First of course pacing. I was really suprised how fast we got into the main action, it starts literally a minute into the episode. We didnt even get a proper introduction of Andrealphus ( or however his name is written, i will just call him Andre) and its his first offical apperance. Its quite insane honestly. I really think it might have been better to do this in some other episode where plot would be focused on the divorce. It feels like they didnt know how to start this whole assasination businnes.
Also for me he seems... really boring? There isnt anything about him that we havent seen before. I dislike how Stella was portrayed too. She may have gotten a bit dumber than at the beginning, i mean she cares so much about killing Stolas that she isnt even thinking logically. Its a little weird when you consider how loveless their marriage was, it doesnt look like she has strong enough reason to hate him this much.
Another thing, her relationship with Andre seems as normal as it can be in hell. I hoped for some emotional manipulation or other toxic behaviour that may explain why Stella is such a bitch. But hell no, there was nothing super weird about them though it may be because there were shown for like 2-3 minutes in the whole ep. On one hand i am glad he is not ( at least yet) another villain, but still he felt important enough to get a proper introduction.
What also bothered me about pacing was the structure of plot A and B. Especially in the fight scene where they are paralleled. Its not a bad thing per se but it dissolves the tension. It also felt like there was no need for plot B except for keeping Blitz occupied and unable to rescue Stolas.
Now lets talk about characters. First Moxxie, as much as i am glad that he became a badass i cannot help but feel like it should have happened in 3rd ep. Him fighting his dad would be so much more powerful than dealing with three random guys on gus station and fighting Striker with Millie. This change would feel more natural. I am not saying he is weak, but his skills were mostly with guns, not physical violence. But in this ep he suddenly is very capable of that, he is also less anxious and more reliable (which is a good thing, thats the development from ep 6). Despite all that i was still suprised.
Both Blitz and Stolas feel pretty much in character, so i wont talk much about them. I just wanna say that i liked them. I am kinda sorry that i wont sing praises, even though there was some good stuff but there is still much to cover.
So lets talk about Striker. Oh boy, not gonna lie watching him sometimes felt like fever dream. I dont know if its so bad that its hilarious or just hilarious, i really cant say. First his sudden apperance in the middle of a restaurant with a whole crowd of witnesses, than his theme song. THEME SONG. I am crying, its just so ridiculous. Its a pretty cool joke but also so surreal. Like up until now it feels like writers tried to find a reason for adding songs. Be it jingles, intros or full stage performences the songs were always a part of an actual action. However here its more of a montage, and it can be barely counted as sth else thanks to a few lines in a dialogue. As i said, not sure if its genius or just bad. Then we have all the jokes about Strikers ego, its not out of character, but it also feels like he stopped being anything more. At first he was a genuine threat and someone who Blitz could have chose to be. Here he still tries to be, but cant because of all the jokes. The big dick statue went too far for me. Its also becoming too repetitive. However i really liked when he started choking Moxxie, he looked really wild with all the drolling. It made him look feral, which is cool. The harder joke also caught me of guard. Last thing about Striker, he is well animated. It may seem obvious but i feel like its really not, especially not in season two.
I dont have much to say about Millie, Loona and Stella. Really, my only thought is that Stella looks kinda weird in this ep. Her head feels to big, especially when Andre is next her. Fortunetly Loona and Millie look alright.
Short note about worldbuilding, it gets more and more messed up. What at first looked like nice little clues for creating a bigger picture now is more like random stuff mixed together so they can pretend to be whole. Hell looks more and more like a structured society with jails, hospitals, offices and so on and yet it makes it hard to ignore how absolutely insane this idea is. At first hell looked like a total lack of rules, then we got some info that IMP using Grimouir is illegal, then human disguises, lawsuits and even jail which overall makes an impression that there is some law. But what is this, how does it work? No idea whatsoever. Then we have hierarchy with imps being at the very bottom of it. Now it seems like they arent really so different if they can afford places like Asmodeus or restaurants Stella is willing to go to. Blitzo having a bussines was a big deal but nothing really came out of it. Also whats with their sizes?? They can be as big as Loona or small enough to fit in a bag. It gets more and more confusing. I wont even talk about Moxxies dad, an imp being a literal mob boss ( mafia exists in hell???). Its all a right mess.
Another thing thats is a mess is a quality of sound design and sometimes animation. I felt so disconected from fight scene in this episode because music didnt fit at all. The tension that should have been there went and never came back. Though the animation was gorgeous. However its not so pretty in many other moments where anatomy of characters becomes a mere suggestion. Sometimes the problem is in proportions, sometimes in perspective but also how some scenes are connected and how the mood isnt appropriate for the overall action.
But since we are getting to the end of this post, let me tell about some good things. And by that i mean the end scene. Its really good, it made me feel what i have felt while watching first season. It was emotional but in a quiet, honest way. We got some small gesture that was meaningfull in a context. We also got some explanation about what happened after Ozzie (a little too late, but better than never) and in such a way that i can appreciate. I like small clues, that u have to focus on to fully understand whats happening. Its one of the things that got me into Helluva, it was fascinating to use small things to create bigger pictures. I loved that, and i wish there was more of that in this season.
To finish, i think the biggest problem of this season is that it doesnt know how to build up on what was shown before. It got lost with all the characters, dramas and possible plots and in the end lost the core idea that was at the beggining - IMP bussines. Now it rushes into different plot points and mucks up most of them because of that. It also doesnt give us anything new? First ep was a sensation with mixed response, but despite other ones having important moments it never got up anywhere near the excitment that started with 5 ep of season 1. I really miss that feeling but i am losing hope that Helluva will return to its former quality and charm.
If u read all of this, thank u very much. :3

Does Vivzipop know what she's doing ???
I know I said I wasn't gonna watch anymore helluva boss but I saw some cute things floating around wit Asmodeus and Fizzorallie and I caved and watched it and I have to ask does Viv remember that imps are supposed to the mistreated ones ???
This video here explains the hierarchy of hell {I couldn't find the livestream that told us but I found this} https://youtu.be/WuGQ1_986r4
And it tells us that Imps are at the bottom of the barrel and so far we have yet to even see that.
Blitz has a successful company he's getting a shit ton of clients we've seen it happen in episode three we seen a lot of sinners lining up to hire them not to mention the building his company is located in is in the pride ring and that he's able to rent out a space where a company that was able to hire versoika mayday, in episode 4 someone died and came right to them meaning I.M.P is well known fuck even episode 2 shows that imps can afford to go to a cheap yet overpriced amusement park one that a demon prince and his family went to and while Milly stated that her parents went when they could afford it
{understanding since my mom would take me and my siblings out whenever she could afford it}
We are still shown they can go not to mention the workers there aren't mistreated like at all
Episode 7 shows us that Moxxie was able to get reservations and preform at a luxurious place and when Millie hurt Fizzorallie Asmodeus was more worried about Fizz than reprimanding her.
I don't know about y'all but every show I've seen {whether it was a cartoon or series} the royal would always reprimand the lower being for disrespecting them but she wasnt and Moxxie was able to preform his song {still hate Moxxie for that but that's a discussion for another day}
The closest the closest we seen imps being mistreated was episode five and to an extent Stolas and Blitz relationship.
Episode five showed us Stolas insulting them and them being angry
Tumblr media
This is there faces when he insulted them again this is the closest we get to seeing the imps being mistreated.
Stolas and Blitz relationship could also be seen as mistreatment wit the way Stolas acts wit Blitz not to mention since technically he could hurt Blitz for stealing from him.
And even than it makes me wonder how Blitz was even able to seduced him and get him in bed know where that book is and steal it and the fact Stella or any of the others that were at her tea party didn't do anything kinda makes me wonder how he got out alive ...
Now while the piolet may have shown us that business was slow and how they were struggling a little it got toss aside the next episode when they were hired to kill people.
Again I'm beginning to wonder if Viv and her team know what she's doing or if she's taking so many elements that she thinks people love and dumping them all on this first season like I genuinely think she forgot her own system and how it works
Forgot to mention that in episode two Stella is shown to throw her imp around and while I will say that's a good example I would also have to dismiss it because in episode five we see her trusting an imp wit a dangerous job on killing a prince so yeah anyways let me know what y'all think and tell me your own thoughts also try not to be dicks k k

What happened when the cherubs found out that Loki is a god? Feel like they'd be pretty shocked lol
They would he shock, mainly he is an god. Since they can't say anything, due he isn't part of their problem.
Yet then again, they would ask many questions to Loki why is he in hell if he is a god.
He is there with his own reason, and they can understand. Wouldn't question him futher.

Okay so new ep of helluva boss came out and... it wasnt very good. For me it was actually the worst episode of all of them and here is why.
First thing, pacing. I think with this episode i finally understood what bad pacing is because everything feels rushed. From action and plot, by sound design to animation. And one of the reasons behind this is too many topics squished in only 20 minutes. We had Stolas and his divorce with Stella, Octavia and all her drama, Blitz and Stolases relationship, M&Ms relationship, Blitzos fear of performing and losing Loona, Loonas past and her getting closer to Octavia. Its so many things and such a short time. And because of this none of the subjects is getting focus nor time to build up emotional tension.
So lets take a closer look at each of those plot points.
First i will talk about Blitz and Stolas, because last episodes were all about it. And they could actually not exist right now because here its totally ignored. I dont know if it was somehow resolved in ep8 of season 1, but we didnt see it so i will just ignore it. All the tension between characters is gone, Blitz is turned on by Stolas praising his sexual skills (which u know, he is still treated like there is nothing more to him than sex), Stolas doesnt seem hurt anymore by being unloved, the Asmodeus Crystals didnt appear (which didnt have to be now, but its still little weird, it seemed important) , and everything went to shit. All this drama, pain and suffering didnt get a pay off and i am so dissapointed. Their dynamic got somehow turned into just being attracted and horny, and all the complicated intresting stuff got wiped out. (I really, really hope it wont be all season 2 and its just a hiccup, please let it be). Their moments are just shallow, short, out of character, or too focused on one of their trait. By this i mean for example Stolas laughing at Bllitzos jokes. Yea, it was adorable, but why do it here? Especially with all those puppy eyes (there was soooo many of them, seriously). And others are laughing too, so its not so special anymore. And in the end even he is bored! Another scene is the one inside a van, it was abrubt, meant to show Blitzos willignes to help Stolas, but the topic got changed so quickly and unnaturally u are just too baffled to react. It also meant shit in the end, cause u know, Loona. It was meant to be important moment but got turned into comedic one. There are actually two scenes i like between them though, first is Blitz calling Stolas, and second is Stolas asking Blitz about Moxxies phone number. It was interesting cause we dont really see Stolas sassy. And Blitz somehow saying exactly the thing he didnt want to say feels like sth he would do.
Now i will use this to write about Blitz. His personal traumas and issues werent treated seriously enough. First his panic attack in the office. It was put here but nothing was done with it. (And it could be powerful to see this usually confident character breaking down in public). Then his willingness to help Stolas (in the van), could show deeper emotions and in the end didnt because he was literally useless. Then we have more important stuff, his fear of performing. It lasted less than a minute i think. Its actually quite important and should have been explored. We know he probably hates himself, so fear of getting rejected and riddiculed makes sense. It may also be connected to some particular trauma from his childhood. But it wasnt in any way hinted that it may be the case and it got resolved very quickly, so apparently the issue wasnt this serious. And lastly his memory of adopting Loona. I feel like this would work much better if it wasnt shown in this ep. I think their relationship should get their own ep, or at least half of it. It could have been explored here (la probably would have to be wiped out) , him wanting to fire Loona is actually a good conflict. She could feel like he is abandoning and rejecting her, for someone who was adopted it feels like a powerful blow. Her anger and hurt would probably lead to some sheanigans, which would end with A. Her understanding that Blitz will love her no matter what and accepting he fucks up, B. Blitz understanding Loona more and maybe becoming a better parent, C. SHOWING THIS MEMORY, D. Moxxie and Millie learning to be less racist (cause here Mox is the one who advised Blitz to speak with Loona [not like he wasnt right, but u know, i dont think they are okay towards Loona either]) .
But okay, lets get to Millie and Moxxie. The biggest problem is that they literally didnt do anything to plot. U could erase them and the only thing u would lose is comedy (which was funny at first, but got boring very quickly). I liked seeing Millie getting tired at Moxxies antics becuse it was new. But i am unsure how much is this in character. Honestly, she was created to be perfect lover, strong and murderous but caring and loving to her partner. Its not much of personality so u can do many stuf but i think she should have her character developed in her own ep so we can explore those changes. Moxxie is also kinda different, because normally he is the responsible one. Wouldnt he go insane if he found out how easy Blitz made it to steal the book from them? Though, on a positive note, him being smug about berating Loona is on point. But him getting distracted in the middle of rescue mission of GOETIA PRINCESS? I believe he would panic hard. But well, we had Blitz already doing that, so the role was filled. The one thing i actually liked were his interactions with Blitz, cause they felt more like friends.
Now Octavia. It may seem like its her episode, but it really isnt. The beginning is good, her being happy, Stolas ignoring her, stealing the book. I actually liked that, it felt like a good conflict to resolve. Suprise it wasnt resolved by Stolas, but by Loona who didnt even know Octavia before! Like, i enjoy them being friends (just friends, please dont make it offical canon ship, i would like to see some platonic relationship for once), but it wasnt her conflict to resolve. It should be Stolas, who for example took her to space to see at least one meteor. (I know we had fireworks, didnt feel good enough). Or something else, but really, this plot didnt change their relationship at all. Its worse version of Loo Loo Land. BUT to say something positive, the line "why does he hates her more than he loves me" ( or sth like that) was great. Shame it was just that.
I wont write about Stella, she is in what, 30s of this ep?
So lastly Loona. She is the best part in my opinion, because she is mostly still in character. Her being angry at Blitz, ignoring Octavia sneaking in, not looking for her in LA depsite being said to do so, calling Moxxie fat. Its all things i think she would do. The only think that doesnt fit is ironically the last scene, with her cheering Octavia up. Or rather being some kind of mentor/ older sister/ please not romantic interes kind of person. I dont think she is mature enough to open like this, nor that understanding after Blitz said he may fire her. Like what the hell? Am i missing something? I also didnt like how she was portrayed in Blitzos memory, and i mean the crying part. I think she wouldnt show her pain cause it was dangerous where she lived. Obviously this part is more my preference than actual critique.
I wish i was done but i am not. (Sorry). Now, some other thing that bothered me a lot was sound design. Did u notice how one melody changes into other without some smooth transition? U can hear this first when action starts to take place in I.M.P. Then another very unfitting change is when van scene starts. This are not all, but they got stuck in my head the most. Even the animation is somehow rushed most of the time. And i dont know exactly why, but i guess it lacks balance? Sometimes anatomy of characters gets lost, other times they move a little too much and there are moments when characters seem to float above backround (i mostly mean when they walk).
All those things makes this weak. So summing up, past episode became irrevelant, characters mostly dont act like themselves, emotional moments that were strong became shallow, there was too many scenes with horny Stolitz ( the worst is shirtless Blitz, come on!), plot wasnt constructed well ( unnecesery plot points - Millie and Moxxie, Brandon Rogers and this sitcom drama, plot focused on everything and in the end nothing) as well as pacing, bad audio design, somehow weird animation, and in generall it feels like filler that works very badly for the show. I obviously will still watch helluva, but i really really hope it wont happen to whole second season. Because if so this show will became a wasted potential and leave me very bitter.
Sorry for long post and for all mistakes i did writing it. Thank u if u read all of this, i am seriously impressed.

Little thought,
I know when it comes to Stolas there is a lot of different and sometimes extreme opinions, so i started to think. And in the end i decided that I pretty much like Stolas, even though he could be so much more interesting.
Like for example, imagine if things were pretty much the same but he had different mindset. Him sleeping with Blitz would be A. about sex and B. about having control. In canon he is not a control freak. But what if he was? What if the thrill was the fact that he owns Blitz, finally being not the one who is controlled (either by Paimon or Stella). And yet he can pretend that he is not like his abusers, because Blitz still complains and has an attitude that lets him maintain the illusion. But then, he kind of starts to admire Blitz for it. Because despite owning him, Blitz still finds a way to rebel, to avoid complete submission. And so he starts to desire not only his body, but also his heart. So he becomes even more toxic. After Ozzie or something equally dramatic he realizes that he cannot truly have Blitz, not against his will. So he decides to let him go (and i mean honestly not as a manipulaton).
But its not the case and Stolas is very... soft for a powerful demon. And it has its charm but its also not very interesting. However i believe it can change, if there will be real consequences for his actions. Like Octavia leaving him to stay with her mother. Or him being stripped from some privileges. Or becoming a laughing stock. Idk, there is quite a variety, though the first one is the most powerful. And i really hope it happens. It would be a nice conflict for 3rd season.

Heh, here we go with the newest (5th?) episode of helluva boss! Its going to be a short post i hope, cause i dont feel like i have lot to say.
First, i liked it. It was nowhere near the level of the first season but i feel like it may be second best ep in this one. It doesnt say much but hey. I think Blitzos got some good lines i genuinely chuckled a few times (the one about killing children in a quick and painless way as a gratitude for the guy, its typical Blitz). Moxie and Millies B plot was alright, but slightly too long. I am glad to see some troubles in their marriage, it was refreshing. Though i wish it would be more serious, sth to influence plot in the future. Still we got some Millie, and if i am positive it did show us some of her insecurieties about her being good only at killing. Maybe she felt underappreciated in her huge family. Idk, i am trying to be hopeful. I didnt like songs though, Moxxies was kinda funny, but well they still felt unnecessarily long. I feel like Barbie part was rushed, which is a shame, but at least she wasnt completely ruined like Loona in e2s2. I also saw some people being grossed out at some jokes. First Barbie showing her ass to a minor and second about incest. I didnt really think about Barbie being older in that scene cause she didnt look older, so as much as its questionable i think its nothing too shocking for this show and it wasnt implied that she has a sexual relationship with this guy which would be really bad. I think this joke is more about how teenage boys are horny. I wont say its amusing or in a good taste, but this show was always edgy, so expecting propriety from it is unrealistic. I dont like when they go over the top like this time with dicks in the wall, or if comedy contradicts established personalities of characters. But this one is just mindless. I dont think they even realised about phedophilic vibe it has. So, for me it wasnt funny and i see why its so questionable, but when i saw it i didnt even catch that cause any relationship between those two was so out of possibility for me. And now, the incest one. Idk i found that funny. After all the joke wasnt that they are siblings, but that they pretended to be creating a huge misunderstanding. Its just riddiculous enough to amuse me.
Anyway, in the end i feel like this ep is 5/10 or maybe 6. Yep sth like that. Thank u for reading and i hope i didnt piss off anyone too much.

I just watched s02e06 of helluva boss and i have to say i am positively suprised. I really like this episode and i think it may be the best one of this season. This post wont be as long as usual mostly because i wont really criticize. I just wish to point out what made this ep good.
So the most important reason is obviously Fizz. I am suprised by how charming he is. Very energetic even when not on stage, kind of silly and sweet, which is an interesting combo with the voice he has. The way he interacted with other characters made this so fun to watch. Impossibly cute with Asmodeus, suprisingly unadept at dealing with bad guys and of course his whole dynamic with Blitz. This one was the best for me. Despite them being very agressive towards each other, i could still feel all these years they spend together. They know each other well and i am happy it was properly showed. I was even more suprised when i could see the child version of Fizz in his adult self. Like obviously the aversion to violence but also small moments, like how he was amused by the way Blitz invitined him inside a car. And especially when he asked for help. Its very hard not to like him. And his song, it was so silly especially the last part. When i heard "Luigi" i died.
I also appreciate how Blitz and Fizzs past was explained. I cant say i cried but i didnt cringe, and the voice acting was absolutely brilliant. I am glad it really was an accident cause it makes me much more symphatetic towards Blitz.
And while i talk about him, he was really cool. We could see that he is a good fighter and not an idiot with how he broke them out. It was really satisfying. The action scene despite being chaotic was fun to watch and its worth seeing at slower pace. There is this moment when Fizz is literally in Blitzos ass and his face is priceless. I only wish Blitzos skill would be more consistent.
Anyway despite fast pacing it was alright, the mood wasnt randomly changing and they properly focused on the plot and depiction of characters. I feel like sound design sometimes got wacky but i think its more of a personal opinion than anything else.
The last thing i wanted to talk about is Striker. Seeing him completely lose his shit was oddly entertaining. When he first appeared i expected him to be some kind of super boss, a more skilled but also more egoistic version of Blitz. Than he became clown with almost nothing to offer but dick jokes and now he is completely unhinged. Quite a transformation wouldnt u say. And while i still kinda regret him becoming a laughing stock (he became much less threateing), i can enjoy him being a crazy fucker. So maybe he isnt fully wasted.
So yea, these are my thought on the newest episode and i sure hope i wasnt the only one enjoying it. Now i pray this quality stays so maybe i will become fully invested in the show once again.

So is he actually an imp in this as well as a god or did he shapeshift into a imp? (This has been on my mind all day)
He's a god still, but in hell keeping it low and lying he is an Imp that can shapeshift and copies voices.
Limits himself using more magic not creating suspicions.
(Only use it when emergencies, but will be someone else to not bring awareness.)

Is it just me, or does the Toon Patrol and I.M.P have similar vibes?
Maybe, but not entirely
Probably only thing I can think maybe but opposites.
Toon Patrol have some professional moment, but rather being toons not as much, because a toon don’t follow up of logic . (If I am guessing) (Even from arresting probably either told give the toon a warning or send the toon to death.)
I.M.P have that toony moments, but they are rather more professional comes down to killing. (Blitz basically the only one calls the shots.)
But both sides kill a human. (Well, I don’t know if the Toon Patrol killed a human, but we’re gonna kill Eddie. Still counts.)
