maybe I'm late but i still don't know what Monologue's lyrics is about. i understand some words but i STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT SAKUYA IS SINGING ABOUT T_T so can you tell me about it just a little
ooh, hello hello, non-chan! i wouldn’t say you’re late at all bc i don’t think they even released the full lyrics yet to monologue!
so, the general meaning of monologue is basically describing the feelings of when the actors first set foot on a stage, then discovered their dream in acting and wanting it to last forever!
ofc, me being me, this doesn’t end here...owo i present an impromptu lyric video (with bad editing) made at 4am oop—
and here are the paper translations while I’m at it~~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mind you they might not be 100% accurate since it’s mostly based on what I heard from the song (and that it’s 4am). if anybody want to make corrections, please by all means do!!

97 owo?
97). "i'll pick you up at the airport."
brian was such a big personality, and pat was always on the verge of overwhelmed to really notice how much he affected the office. it was strange, even if brian was on vacation for just a week, how quiet things were without him there. pat found himself glancing at brian's desk often, or even trying to start a conversation with a coworker that wasn't there before catching himself and blushing. to add insult, simone nearly always heard it too, and laughed at him.
it was ridiculous. it's not like they were dating or anything, and pat feared he was getting too attached too soon (or just too attached, period). brian was the same with everyone, and pat loved to find things that weren't there in brian's tone, the hint of some romantic interest that absolutely wasn't there. simone called it "projecting". pat called it "pathetic".
still, brian was his friend. brian texted him every day while he was away, and they skyped once - for gill and gilbert, but even then, it felt kind of meaningful. pat went home that night with butterflies in his stomach that he hadn't felt in awhile, and made sure to send brian a good night text. it was for sure around 4am where brian was, but pat saw the 'goodnight pat gill <3' answer right before he drifted off.
he woke up to his phone ringing, which wasn't pleasant and even less so that it was before his alarm went off. he fumbled with his phone for a moment before picking up, croaking out a "hello?". brian answered, cutting straight to the chase while pat looked for his glasses, since apparently this was his wake up.
"good morning! happy thursday!" brian started with, and pat wasn't sure how happy it was, but he refrained from saying that aloud. "so hey, whatcha up to, say, sunday afternoon?"
"i don't know?" pat answered, and brian hummed for a split second.
"sooo, not busy? basically, jonah had something come up and i fly back sunday afternoon." brian paused just long enough for pat to get a word in.
"do you need someone to get you home?" he asked, hoping his smile didn't show in his tone.
"right! so, if you know anyone-"
"i'll pick you up at the airport." pat said, and brian made a delighted noise over the receiver.
"patrick gill, you are a saint." brian implored, and pat thinks that's taking it a bit far. maybe he was a saint, maybe he was just a good friend, maybe he was a tiiiny bit whipped, but either way - he was the first one to see brian after this week of him being gone, and suddenly pat was looking forward to sunday.
