Smurf Angst

Backstory

Back when Papa Smurf was younger, his previous village was destroyed by evil and selfish wizards, some of whom were considered his friends. This left Papa with scars that never truly healed. Eventually he would build a new village and care for the new generation of smurfs, but he dreads the misdeeds and cruelty of humans. Gargamel doesn’t help with that point of view either.

The other Smurfs had no clue of Papa’s pain.

It's a wonder Brainy doesn't have a traumatic brainy injury- I know cartoon logic and all, but like. Good grief. I watched the Magic Flute today and like- Clumsy gets hurt and Papa immediately treats his injuries. Brainy gets hit with a mallet, and he's just. Left there. Papa even says 'he talks way too much' or something, like- why would you say that about your own kid? And then let the others attack him over it with no repercussions?? Even with Grumpy he says 'we love him' but Brainy? 'Haha, no. He's our village punching bag, see, he has more than enough brains to cope with a little brain damage.'

Great parenting, Papa.

1) I always loved the fact Hefty was the one who found her first in the 80's cartoon. 2) So NTOB revealed they go jogging together each morning... OH, MY HEART! ♥ 3) Putting those muscles in good use for the lady ~ 4) Hefty helped her so many times in the past, it's only natural Smurfette would return the gesture when he needs her the most. 5) Honestly, who doesn't like a couple who can kick butt together?
